Today, I received one of my holy grail items. 🤘🏽 The post & wanted to share it with you all! The Kerrang - Black Metal cover (27 March 1993 - Issue 436). This item fetches some high prices & I was lucky to get this copy for the price I did! I know many of you may not be lucky enough to own this magazine for yourselves, so I’ve taken some HD photos of each page from the article & if anyone wants the original files, please send me a direct message with your email address! 🤘🏽
"We were too busy fucking around with music to chase girls. The three of us, if I remember correctly, we didn't have girlfriends at the time. We were so engulfed in the underground, planning this cool band and becoming part of the scene (...). Jesus, girls were the last thing on my mind!"
So, what relevance does this place have? On December 5th, 1987, Morbid entered through the doors of Thunderload Studios to record their legendary demo, December Moon. 🤘🏽 The album took only two days to record & is still one of the best debuts in any metal genre.
It’s so surreal being standing outside the doors where this iconic demo was recorded. If you are interested in seeing where else we visit on this trip, please make sure you turn on post notifications! 🤘🏽🇸🇪
📍 Location: Karlavägen 119, Stockholm. From my understanding, these buildings are now apartments. So please be respectful of people’s space when visiting.
It’s not often that we get to play with post-black metal bands but Hell is Other People certainly set the bar high. From delicate atmospheric guitars to precise, intentional drums, to wailing, pained vocals, these guys ruled.
