Eugavus Angst AU - Gavus „The Mourning Mage“ Re-Awakening / SSP

Putting the pictures behind the cut due to potentially triggering content, please mind the tags if you are uncomfortable with mild(ish) body horror.

This is based on some light lore theorycrafting spun up by users on the GaGene Nation Discord server after discussing what the new hero Adrian might have done or not have done with his partner, Elyse. How would the dads react in a similar situation?

For some reason I wanted to do a fun little concept for a corrupted Gavus based on this and got way too into it. 🙈

Scenario: Eugene passes away and leaves a mentally broken Gavus and his cube behind. Knowing that the cube offers endless possibilities in the hands of a capable holder, Gavus tries to use it to bring Eugene back from the dead. Due to his incompatibility with the cube‘s power however, his already fragile mind and body get corrupted, turning Gavus into a Hypogean abomination with just one goal in mind: finding a way to return his love to him.

Initial sketch:

The idea was that Gavus body struggled to contain the power of the cube, hence his skin slowly cracking like porcelain. Behind it is a black void with the red markings of the cube swirling within.

Costume/Weapon concept (including a full version without the noisy background):

The red scarf is Eugene‘s cape which Gavus took with him after Eugene died.

He embedded the Trickster‘s Cube into his chest where his heart is, hence the corruption spreading.

His Celestial body and clothes are incompatible with the magic of the cube, this is why it corrupts his limbs and burns his clothes. Eugene‘s cape is not affected because it still has Eugene‘s compatibility. (I found out that the program I‘m using for digital art actually has a very neat brush for a cloud/stain effect AFTER painstakingly painting the burn marks on his clothes by hand. 😂 )

SSP Gavus‘ weapon is a merged version of Eugene‘s Weapon and his own, broken SP ring. Including more cube corruption, OF COURSE.

Gavus actually succeeds in bringing Eugene back from the dead, but at the cost of his sanity and becoming a Hypogean himself.

Eugene is NOT happy about what Gavus did and somehow finds a way to wake Dura (and in the progress ascending as a Celestial himself), just to ask her to return his husband to the status as Celestial.

Bonus picture: Celestial Eugene (whom I accidentally outlined on the sketch layer because I‘m very slow of brain, so you gotta live with my red sketchy lines 🥲).

I took the chance and gave him a cute little low ponytail!

Cuban s tea.

  Black tea 4 tea.sp, green tea 6 tea.sp, one pinapple, lemon, cuban s rum 50 gr, sugar 10 tea.sp, ice 20 cubes, water one l.

Chop pinapple  on  cubes, chop sugar till powder , mix, add rum, put for refrigerator for day. Warm tea pot, add in glass a hot water, add dry tea , infuse  under towel, lid for 3 min. Add water in tea pot and keep his for 3/4 a free, infuse under lid and towel for 5 min, cool till 5 C.Press lemon juice, shred his peel, mix in dish lemon, cooked with rum a pinapple, tea, and add ice. Serve in glasses through sieve.Drink after sauna or bath.

Egg tea Kasterd.

Black infian tea 5 tea.sp, creams 0.5 l, yolks  5 pieces, water 0.5 glass, sugar 5 tbl.sp.

In one l. tea pot add 0.5 glass of the hot  water, add tea. Infuse under lid for minute, add 0.5 l. boiled  creams.Yols rub with sugar, shake. Shaken mass add in half glass of received tea, and mix faster, that yolk will not  curl up.Add diluted tea in yolks in tea pot, infuse 3 minutes.

Glintwein -tea.

Water one l. black tea 3 tea.sp, green tea 2 tea.sp, apple juice glass, cherry juice 0.5 glass, cinnamon one tea.sp, ginger 0.5 tea.sp, 3 pinks, sugar glass, chopped wallnuts 200 gr, raisin 200 gr.

Warmed tea pot add in hot water for 3/4 a size, add dry tea, infuse under lid and towel for 5 min .In enamel dish, add juices and mix with spices. Brewed tea add in pan with juices, spices, half hours warm, not leading till boiling.Adding in cups add one tea,sp. Chopped nuts and one tea.sp. raisin.

 Lemon-honey tea.

Water 6 cups,, green tea 2 tea,sp, juice of half  lemon, cinnamon one tea.sp, 2 pinks, honey 5 tbl.sp.

Boiled water cool till 80C, add cinnamon, pink, warm on fire, not leading till second boiling for ten min. In a good warmed tea pot add warmed mixture, add tea, keep under lid for 3 min, filter, add lemon juice.Cool till 40 C, dilute in this drink honey/honey warmed  a higher as  40 C is harmful.

Drink also after sauna, or bath.

13.1 Harry Hill. New Theatre, 'Boro. Nuts. Funny af, but nuts.

23.1 Frank Turner, Lottery Winners, Wildwood Buoys. O2 Academy, Leicester. The Marquis Wellington.

26.1 Francis of Delirium, Sloe Noon, Collars. Bedford Esquires. McDs. Great gig. 1st support, quirky (the drummer was also the guitarist), 2nd were superb, reminded me of Slothrust and FoD are always excellent.

2.2 Sprints, Langkamer, Eades. Bedford Esquires. Herd. Amazing, just brilliant. Missed Eades (fucked off 'bout that), Langkamer got me well in the mood and Sprints nailed it. Burger at Herd was one of the best I have ever eaten. Top night.

14.2 Mogwai, Brainiac. Rock City. Horn in the Hand. Brainiac are odd, Mogwai were fucking loud. HitH always delivers when it comes to burgers.

3.3 Emily Breeze, Andrea Kenny. The Donkey, Leicester. Heritage India. EB was fabulous. The restaurant front of house thought I was a food critic, I am sure of it.

5.3 Grade 2, Clobber, Kings of Pigs. Voodoo Lounge, Stamford. McDs. Sunday gig, G2 were really good.

10.3 Suede, Desperate Journalists. Rock City. Horn in the Hand. DJ were fucking excellent. Also, saw great singer in the Lilly Langtrees pub after the gig....see 06.07 entry.

13.3 Self Esteem, Campbell King, Tom Rasmussen. Cambridge Corn Exchange. Honest Burger. SE was wonderful - great show, great songs, great voice, great live.

14.3 Slow Readers Club, Andrew Cushin. Lafayette, King's Cross. Cut and Grind. I loved this gig. SRC in a small venue - place was bouncing. Katsu chicken burger was good.

16.3 Mike Wozniak. The Core at Corby Cube. Nando's. Wonderful, laugh out loud ramblings.

21.3 Death Cab for Cutie, Slow Pulp. O2 Institute, Brum. Manzils. SP stole the show, DCFC were 'alright'. Great veg madras but with fucking mushrooms.

22.3 The Orielles, Pale Blue Eyes. MASH, Cambridge. Butch Annie's. Brilliant gig. TO were a different band live and PBE will play arenas one day, I'm sure of it. Marvellous burger, marvellous gaff.

30.3 Jadu Heart, Gglum. Assembly Rooms, Islington. MEATLiquor, GDK. Gglum stole the show. She rocked, actually. I had a balcony ticket but snuck downstairs during a technical hitch with JH's kit; the upstairs bar ran out of beer (wtf?) so I went in search of booze only to find I could walk into the main hall unchallenged! Great burger followed by a really great kebab. 04.04 Gretel Hänlyn, Mary in the Junkyard. The Moth Club. McDs. Great little venue and MitJ were excellent (brilliant drumming and drummer) and GH was fantastic. No overground afterwards but jumped in an Uber to Finsbury Park with two fellas who'd been to the gig #lifesavers

11.04 Big Thief. Hammersmith Apollo. Chicago Grill. I found BT disjointed and out of tune at first, came good toward the end. Burger was fucking huge and beat me. Plus I had to use cutlery to eat it.

14.04 Joe Rooney., A Celebration of Father Ted. The Key Theatre, Peterborough. Interesting evening with the chap that was in one episode of Father Ted as Father Damo. 18.04 Waxahatchee, Indigo Sparks. Earth. GDK. No overground, walked there and back and still made GDK and caught the 23.00 train. 20.04 Fenne Lily, Naima Bock. Islington Assembly hall. GDK. Last minute gig (thanks to ReTickin') and I am glad I made the effort FL and her band (esp. the guitarist) was most impressive - great live sound. 21.04 Lemondaze, Treeboy & Arc. Portland Arms, Cambridge. Butch Annie's. Brilliant live sets from both and a flipping excellent burger.

08.05 Haley Blais, Katie Tupper, Georgia Harmer. Bush Hall. Tiger's Diner. Three great artists and HB's voice is one of the best I have ever heard. Burger was a treat...I shovelled it down!

11.05 Foals. Pryzm Kingston. The first of two shows for the band on the night presented by Banquet Records and they were on top form.

16.05 Lael Neale, Guy Blakeslea. Lexington, Islington. McDs, GDK. LN was simply wonderful. 2-4-1 GDK is always a treat! 08.06 Crawlers. Omeara, Borough. The Kebab Shop. Last minute ReTickin' gig and I am very glad I made the effort. Lamb Shawarma was amazing. 10.06 Diane Cluck, Johanna Warren. Cafe OTO, Dalston. Only went to see JH and it was a performance workshop, so no singing. Not what I expected.

16.06 Arctic Monkeys, The Hives, The Mysterines. Emirates Stadium. 22.06 The Sherlocks. Bedford Esquires. Herd. Last minute gig 'cos Dara O Briain was cancelled due to flooding. TS were cracking.

26.06 Indigo de Souza, Rosie Alena. Village Underground. Fat Hippo, Shoreditch. IdS, and her band, flippin' rocked. I like it when the live performance is a real step up from studio. FH was also cracking.

06.07 Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Girl Band. Craufurd Arms. GB were excellent - saw the guitarist/lead singer, Georgie, after the Suede gig 10.03 - chatting after their set, she remembered me! GCWCF lost the plot with the chatting, rowdy audience...it was embarrassing.

07.07 Breanna Barbara, Memory of Speke. Moth Club. Burke's Warehouse. BB was so good, fantastic. MoS were very good. Burger & chips were excellent.

19.09 My Baby. MK11 MB were really good value - rock enthused dance music and the lead singer's voice is exemplary.

22.08 Boygenius, Ethal Cain. Piece Hall, Halifax. 242 mile round trip was just about worth it. Both acts were OK. Venue is special, though.

28.08 Karen Jonas. Great Easton Village Hall. 29/08 Future Islands. Cambridge Corn Exchange. Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. FI are so good live. Cajun chicken burger was fine.

05.09 Samia, Art School Girlfriend. Kentish Town Forum. One of the best gigs this year.

23.09 Flock of Seagulls, Enjoyable Listens. Bedford Esquires. Brewhouse & Kitchen. FoS were good value, EL were excellent as always and the burger was fine.

26.09 The National. Ally Pally. Views from the venue were spectacular.

04.10 Sprints. Scala. Ballache getting to the gig 'cos of the train strike, but well worth it. Aftershow gathering at The Lexington warranted an overnight stay!

05.10 Hard-Fi, Tom A. Smith. The Junction. Impressed with HF, even more impressed with TAS and his band.

06.10 The Undertones, Tom Robinson Band. The Junction. TRB were amazing. He is a great entertainer and his guitarist was superb.

30.10 Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, James P. Honey. The Lexington. CSatLD were amazing. The violinist pulled out one of the best live solos of any instrument I have even witnessed.

08.11 Deadletter, The Joy Hotel. The Craufurd Arms. TJH were bloody good...including bass, 5 guitars! D were superb - great front man.

09.11 Nothing But Thieves. World Resorts Arena, Brum (old NEC). £7.50 a fucking pint. NBT is about right.

12.11 This Is The Kit, Gina Birch. The Glee Club, Brum.

15.11 The Murder Capital. Electric Ballroom. Mental gig. Haven't seena mosh pit like it since the 80s. Thoroughly enjoyed this gig.

16.11 Bleach Lab, Wings of Desire. Scala. WoD were right down my street and delivered - a nice surprise as I'd not heard of them before. One of those gigs where support > headliner.

23.11 Bdrmm, Damefrisor. Bedford Esquires. I flipping enjoyed this. B drummer cracked open a bottle of beer with the end of his drumstick which was the coolest thing I have ever seen.

03.12 The Rural Alberta Advantage, Zoon. Lafayette. I was not in the mood for travelling down to this on a Monday night. However, it was well worth it. RAA were every bit as 9, or so, years ago when I first saw them.

04.12 Coach Party, Bedroom High Club, House of Women. O'Meara. A free gig put on by Beavertown brewery and I'd have gladly paid. Each band were great. BHC were brand new to me and were the pick of a fantastic bunch. I will definitely catch all 3 live again.

Ok so I just got a follower that upset me real bad. When tumblr actually lets me see whose following me I like to go look their blog over. It can be neat to see and if it a pornbot then I wanna block.

So I'm looking at this blog and I see this:

Wanna make somethings clear:

First all nice that this person thinks they have a right to decide what anyone spends their own money on.

2.I'm not one of those vegans(I'm not even vegan all can't afford it and its not environmentally sustainable) who care more about feeling good about themselves but don't actually give one god damn bit about animals and the planet we live on. Bees are not harmed by their keepers honey good fucking over agave(sp?) plants bad. Giving sheep haircuts keep them healthy and my ice cube toes warm. Vegan leather is plastic and plastic is killing the planet and the ANIMALS that live in it. Life consumes life that is the state of this world. We need to be in harmony with that.

3. Life is life a living being is in pain it DOES NOT MATTER if that being is human or animal if you can help you should. I don't know how to explain this right to explain that humans are not inherently better or more deserving of life. That everything has a soul and should be protected cherished the best we are able. Yes we sometimes must prioritize our lives and what/who we love. But what right do you have to whole sale say human life matters more. Why for what reason?

4. My whole fucked up abused life I have only ever had kindness from in order my ma, animals, a handful of humans. So maybe I'm screwed up to a lot of you because of that, but I'm not the only person who loves my animals as family who mourns that loss, who sees other asking for help to save their furry family member and wanting to help.

I admit that in a situation where I could save a dog or a human in a burning building I'd save that dog and I know some people likely consider me evil or insane for that. But the way I see it humans have abilities to save themselves that animals don't and there is always someone ready to save that human but let that dog burn to death because their not human less important they don't contribute to society. Well guess what I don't contribute to society either due to my disabilities so in your world I should be left in that fire too.

In my opinion compassion for all life means I care about animals trapped in fires, abused, killed cruelly made to suffer when that is not needed. It means I once fought with my sister to save a spider. It means I would fight a Nazi to protect a Jew. That I'd hide anyone from ICE. That if terfs are coming at trans people that they can come through me first. That black lives matter. That I care about the humans in Ukraine suffering and dying and I care about their animals that are suffering and dying. And that of the humans and animals suffering in Iraq and everywhere else. It means I care about the old growth forests disappearing from our world. That I hate people who kill old trees cause it doesn't match their aesthetic.

So all in all if you got a problem with that you probably should not follow me because defending the inherent value in LIFE animal human plant other is a hill I am willing to die on.

I’ve been sitting on this sense October. Forgot to post it now it’s mid-December.

This was for  Halloween Zero-to-Thirty Challenge Rating Challenge but as you can see I never posted/finished it. Well I’ll be posting what I did do.

Day 1 - CR0 - Pumpkin Spice 

Pumpkin Spice Elixir & Drink Powder Mixer

Elixir is just a fancy way of saying soda in my modern fantasy dnd world. 

They look like potions cause branding, however aren't magical in any way. Pumpkin Spice Elixir is a pumpkin flavored soda and pumpkin spice drink powder mixer is like those powder packets that would be placed into water to make it taste different but for fake pumpkin flavoring, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

The world has drink vending machines that give out elixirs, bottled coffees or teas, andor other drinks found in those types of machines. None of these have any stats to go with, they are merely the equivalent to "what type of mead where we given" kinda stuff.

Summary: Pumpkin soda with a lot of spices mixed in sold around the time autumn happens in the Feywild. It's sold year round in elven cities surrounding where pumpkins are grown in Nov, but extremely expensive outside of harvesting season. 

Item Type: Drinks (soda), Drink Powder Mix (“spice”)

Value: 5 sp (low end 1sp, high end 5gp)

Eatability: Fey, Kuo-toa, illithids, Myconids, Stoneling, Thri-kreen - can't consume it, mostly cause of the carbonation or inability to consume any elixir.

Description:  A carbonated drink of pumpkin puree. Tastes more like pumpkin soup that is fizzy with cinnamon, unless you get a coffee variant then its most fizzy black coffee with a hint of pumpkin flavoring and a butt load of cinnamon.

Most come in simple cylinder glass bottles, however some manufacturers will make pumpkin shaped bottles and tint the glass orange. Autumn soda competition will often make extremely detailed containers for prize winners.

Vague Recipe - this is a generic recipe; elixir bars, MAM variants, and personal recipes may differ drastically. This is the closest to what you'd probably get from a vending machine.

Fantastic idea. Let's give it a shot! I would love to see if a creator could and would be able to create a maxis-match classic Ballet Workout Set. Including two simple Tutu's one classic short the other one long. A classic leotard, wrap top, wrap skirt, ankle leg warmers as well as a pair of thigh high ones. All in classic ballet colors black, white and pink. ;) Nothing fancy! If the creator wants some examples what I mean I could provide pics. But that would be so dope! ❤️

#SSSWish I'm half Filipino, but I hardly see any Filipino content in the Sims Community. I would love to own a Maxis Match Barong or Maria Clara dress for formal events in the game. I think it would be a great way to add more representation in the game, especially when I know there are a handful of PilAms and Pinoy players. #SSSWishlist hello! I would love if cc creators can consider making more patterns for Kimono/Yukata (traditional Japanese clothing). I find the in-game versions kinda bland, and there are not many floral Kimonos even though its commonly seen in Japanese festivals. Would appreciate if there's Japanese hairstyle cc with big flowerly accessory to pair with the Kimono too! Same for the male Yukatas, just not floral print maybe. If it's not too much, children's version is also appreciated!

My wish is to have more swatches for the snowboard and skis. If there could be more LED designs, interesting designs and the swatches for kids for T-E boards. It would be great.

The other wish would be to have more Kimono designs in Maxis Match and/or recolors with more patterns. There are so many patterns that I have seen while looking at real life kimonos and there are so many patterns, styles and colors that are missing in the game.

This seems like a fun idea! What I have been wanting for ages (like since TS2 era ages) is a hair style that completely covers one eye, like Violet at the start of The Incredibles. Most of the peekaboo bangs hairs I've seen are a little *too* stylish and I mostly just want one where someone is clearly trying to cover up half their face with it.

I would love to see more horse poses with tack. Severinka’s horses are beautiful but it drives me crazy, posing sims on horseback with the illusion of tack (bridles, saddles, etc) I would love to see some Severinka shaped tack be made. Poses would be a bonus!

#SSSWish - I would love to see a someone put together clothing that accurately reflects the Starfleet uniforms seen on the television shows, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (collar version), "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (colored shoulders) or the later movie uniforms (grey shoulders w/ colored undershirt). I've seen people asking for these uniforms for quite some time now, and I think, if done well, they could be a popular download. A separate chest combadge accessory would be nice too.

Hey there, that #SSSWish thing is a super cool idea! I do have a wish too - I would love to see the EL utility jumpsuit converted for male framed sims. It can be unlocked by creating an override and unchecking the frame restrictions in S4S, but then the body changes to a female frame. So if anybody out there could do that properly, I'd be extremely grateful :3

#SSSWishlist i know i already saw some people here ask for more yukata/kimono swatches here and i would like the say i really do think we need them (not just for the adults but the younger ages too, id like for the toddlers kimono not to have the hifu? vest as well but that sounds more complicated).

HI. Hoping for the US military dress uniforms incl. hats, maybe based around the StrangerVille dress uniforms. My Super Secret Wish is a mod, or even a tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from shying away from hugs they ask for during the “Check Toddler” interaction. It is *so* irritating to see a toddler respond to a❓with a ❤️ and open arms then step back, often with a 💔, and push the adult away. I’ve tried to stop it with MCCC but no luck.

One of my favorite parts of the game is creating a restaurant or a vet clinic, but the employees are impossible to keep satisfied and they all eventually quit. It would be nice if there was a way to keep them permanently satisfied, or at least make it easier. There is a mod for this but it is extremely outdated and doesn't work anymore. If anyone could update it or make a new one that would be great! 😁

Hi ! There is quite a few things I’d like, but I narrowed it down to three “small” things:

- An accessory top with a high neckline and no sleeves - just to hide cleavage - maybe with some lace at the edge ? and several grey and pastel colors please.

- Some accessory prints for shirts, like those tukete has, maybe some aimed at kids and toddlers too ?

- Makeup for kids. Some people let their kids wear makeup in real life, but adult cc makeup don’t look right on kids, so if anyone is interested in trying… I’d like eye-shadow and lipstick, with some discreet options (but you can go all out too of course).

Hello! i’m not sure if its just my game bugging but the male child tiny living hair is broken and i don’t know where to start on fixing it. i tried to find a fix online but found nothing. in my game the hairline for that hair is so bad and its unfortunate cause it used to be my fav child hair. if someone that mods or makes cc could fix it or make a default replacement, i would forever be grateful.

Hello! This #SSSWish is such a fun idea~ Personally, I'd love if someone updated the Plantsims mods that have broken over the numerous updates. Like, G1G2's Revamped Plantsims, Triplis' Plantsim Interactions, and Simonch8's No Cooldown & Trait mods. I've always loved Plantsims since Sims 2 & 3 days, but my knowledge of modding (and especially updating mods) is near nonexistent, so I can't do this myself. #ssswish This is such a lovely idea! There are so many fun wishes! What I’d like to have (and I think would also be useful for other Simmers) is a wedding themed recolor of the “large pile of presents.” I usually put one of those piles in my wedding venue so that the bride and groom can “open presents” together. But the colors that are on the original are not what you usually see on presents at weddings. (I usually opt for the one that is mostly purple, since purple and lavender are my favorite colors.) What I’d like to have are recolors in white, white/gold, and white/silver. Maybe some white/pastels (especially lavender, pink and blue. The white/pastel recolors would also be nice for having a party that you call a “baby shower” especially if yellow and light green were also available. That kind of party isn’t in the game, but it should be!)

I don’t see the #SSSwish I submitted on your public list (I forgot to use the hashtag before) so I’m submitting it again. I would love to see a mod, or tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from pulling away from a hug after they asked for one in response to a Check Toddler. The toddler will hold up its arms with a ❤️ in the speech bubble then step back and refuse the hug, and the relationship takes a hit. I tried MCCC’s tuner to stop it but it didn’t work.

With snowy escape there’s more build items that can be used, I’ve noticed there tends to be a lot of Japanese inspired cc even before that pack, but not a lot of things from other parts of Asia, especially ancient cultures or cultural items like instruments (decor), clothing, furniture (lohan beds), etc. I’ve gone looking but most of what I’ve found is locked behind chinese-only forums and is usually alpha…I just think it would be cool to see some mm stuff from other places esp as fandoms get more globalized

This is an absolutely fantastic idea! I haven't been able to look around lately but I noticed that most rings/hand accessories aren't compatible with SkinDetail eyelashes. My wish is exactly hand accessories, specifically wedding rings, which don't conflict with SkinDetail eyelashes. It may be helpful to know that plumbobteasociety managed it in their RRS pack. ... This is going to be more triggering than my Sanders Sides Beetlejuice AU, and I deeply apologize.

This is a Happy Tree Friends story I've thought about and it got inspired by a scene in the Asylum season of American Horror Story.

MAJOR TRIGGER WARNING FOR PTSD, AVERSION THERAPY, FORCED/DELIBERATE TRIGGERING OF PTSD AND HALLUCINATIONS, ISOLATION, BEING HELD CAPTIVE/HOSTAGE, ANIMAL DEATH, AND A LOT OF OTHER THINGS!!!!

PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!

Additional note: I'm visualizing the characters as human, so don'tbe caught off guard when I bring up a character's hair or complexion. It makes this story easier for me to picture in my head, that's just how I work. And this is mostly TV perspective, so thought I'd tell you that, too.

We begin with the sun rising and a new day starting, how lovely. No one is fully awake, but two people are and they are having a race.

Who's against who?

Simple.

It's Flippy on his feet and Splendid in the air to see who's faster on which and they're neck and neck in this.

Flippy sees Splendid next to him and asks if he's holding back, because this is not the fastest Flippy can run.

Splendid jokes that maybe it is because this is the SLOWEST he's flown in a long time.

Flippy laughs and kicks it into maximum overdrive, full on sprinting as fast as he can, even faking a turn to throw Splendid off his flight. While he stays on his intended path, and shouts that Splendid fell for it, Splendid calls him a cheating bastard.

Flippy laughs and contunues sprinting until he stops on a sidewalk in the town.

How lovely because Splendid is sitting on the wood of one of the telephone poles and waves at him.

Flippy pants and asks how Splendid both beat him and got up there.

Splendid simply floats down and claims it's just a hop, skip, and leap of faith.

And no cheating, which he points out.

Flippy clarifies that he actually DID NOT cheat. He would've gotten some of kryptonut and put it in his pocket, if he really wanted to.

Splendid gasps that he wouldn't, but Flippy shrugs and says he knows a guy, so don't tempt him.

The two share a laugh, but Flippy freezes as he hears a nearby woodpecker.

Splendid spots it and comments on the lovely avian specimen.

That's when a knife is thrown and (TV perspective) off screen kills the bird.

Splendid sees Flippy threw it and has 'killer instinct' eyes.

Thank goodness it's just them and there's no one else around because just as Flippy readies another knife, Splendid grabs him and flies to a hill, fast enough to get there within a minute or so, but not so fast that Flippy dies from the velocity.

It snowed a little bit, but it's enough for Splendid to toss Flippy into.

The cold instantly snaps him out of it and Flippy quickly looks around and asks where they are.

Splendid shrugs and answers the hill, and the realization sets in as Flippy's face drops, groaning and putting his hands over his face.

Splendid sits next to him as Flippy asks if 'it' happened again.

It did, but there was no one outside, so at least it got stopped before anyone got hurt.

Flippy is still crestfallen and rests his head on his arms, which are on his knees.

Splendid asks if he really can't control when he flips out, and Flippy confirms that as much as he can, but he still can't, mainly because when he feels like there's nothing to worry about, he remembers how he got comfortable and confident before and it ruined everything.

And he can't control the world or what randomly happens.

If his instincts say he's in danger, he's using thise same instuncts to keep himself safe.

Splendid digests those words as Flippy takes a breath and stands up, thanking him for the race and apologizes for talking his ear off and snapping on him.

Splendid stands as well and asks if Flippy needs help getting home, to which Flippy politely declines, not wanting to beat Splendid in another race. Splendid narrows his eyes and dares Flippy to repeat that, but Flippy chuckles and says he'll see him around before leaving.

Splendid watches him go and gets to thinking. He and Flippy have been friends for a while, and this stuff with flipping out and all that has been bothering him for a long time. He'd also been informed that Flippy went to Lumpy for help, but it failed miserably, so he was left to deal with it using the medicine he'd been prescribed. Beyond that, nothing seems to have helped him.

He also remembers how he had once had a doctor friend that helped people with addiction and talked with him about how some people aren't addicted to substances, but to feelings or emotions, as a comfort thing.

We don't get any more thoughts because we return to Flippy as he lets himself inside and leans against the door, very much upset with the fact that he lost it in front of one of his friends, especially one loke Splendid, who he rarely flips out on.

And it doesn't help that he hasn't lost it in a very long time.

Because his instincts are going haywire and he just needs to know HOW bad his episodes get, Flippy gets up, grabs a couple party poppers that were left over from a party he was fashionably late to(he had to do a check-in/catch up call with one of his army higher ups so they knew he was okay), and goes down to a basement, one that has a hatch door in the floor rather than a regular door.

He locks it behind him and goes down to a fully concrete basement that has holes and scratches in the concrete, because he's strong.

Here's where that deliberate triggering of trauma and an additional blackout Trigger Warnings come in, because Flippy sets up a camera, that's recoeding, takes one of the party poppers, and squeezes his eyes shut as he pulls the string and sets it off.

Flippy instantly starts seeing that he's back on the battlefield and not in his own basement, and hyperventilates as he sees an enemy standing over him, smirking and gun ready.

Flippy stares up at this enemy, but that fear melts into anger and throws himself into his enemy, landing next to a gun, which he uses to take this enemy out.

No time to relax because he gets grazed by another enemy soldier.

He smiles and chuckles, readying the gun and a knife from his leg before he races forward.

We don't see anything happen, save for black, but we fade to see Flippy coming to on the floor, sweaty, bruised, and knuckles bloody.

He groans and pushes himself up, rubbing his head for a minute before he finally looks around the basement.

The walls and floor are worse than before, but at least the camera is still intake.

Flippy gets up and stops the camera, sitting down as he reminds it back until plays it.

There's no battlefield, no enemies, no threats at all. In the video, Flippy pops the party popper, and clutches his head as he curls into the ground.

He hyperventilates and looks up backing away from someone that isn't even there. At least before he throws himself into the wall a makes a small shelf of knives fall. He mimes shooting the person before grabbing numerous knives and racing toward and hitting the wall and stabbing the wall, even punching and kicking it.

That explains the busted knuckles and bruises.

We don't see the rest of the video, but we do see Flippy's face grow more distressed and upset as he keeps watching himself fight nothing and just beat himself instead.

It is not easy to watch at all.

The video eventually ends with Flippy passing out on the floor, where we caught up with him.

Flippy puts the camera away and leans against the wall.

Guess he's a lot worse than he thought.

He sighs and rests his head against his knees.

Guess he's not leaving the house today either.

Time jump to a week or so later!

It's bright and sunny, and we're checking in on Flaky now as she struggles with some groceries; it originally started as a trip for shampoo and a new toothbrush, but it became a food run as well because she got hungry. She can't really see where she's going, but is trying her best, okay?

Carrying five bags at once a was huge mistake because she trips on a rock and almost falls down.

Almost, because Flippy catches her and helps her back to her feet.

Flaky shrieks and asks who it is.

Flippy decides to mess with her and lowers his voice, asking for either a hello or her life.

Flaky gasps and says he'll get a shoe to his shin, if he doesn't watch himself.

Flippy chuckles and asks if she skipped breakfast again, seeing all the bags she has. Flaky, turning to look at him, corrects him: she DID eat breakfast, but lunch was calling and she couldn't leave it on voice-mail.

Flippy, following along with the analogy, takes a bag or two and advices she try to learn how to BLOCK those calls when they drain her wallet.

Flaky hums, but thanks him for helping, and for the wallet he got her; it's sleek, but holds a lot of money and cards. Or card, which Flippy mutters as they walk to Flaky's house.

Flaky kicks at him, but they half walk, half run to Flaky's house. Once they arrive, Flaky thanks him again for the help and says she'll have a potatoe, butcher beef, apple soup/curry waiting for him next time he comes over.

Flippy chuckles and agrees, countering he'll bring her a cake SMOTHERED in sugar, cubes, chunks, powered, candy, caramel, all that garbage so that her teeth fall out and he can help her get METAL teeth instead.

Flaky sets down her groceries and stamps her foot, saying Flippy is not her father.

They still hug each other and Flippy leaves, telling her to take care of herself.

He continues on his walk and pays attention to the birds that are singing and wind blowing through the trees.

No time to fully appreciate it because Splendid turns a corner and Flippy waves him over, much to the superhero's delight.

They quickly touch in and ask how the other has been before Flippy interests Splendid for another race, 'the only rule is win' edition.

Splendid has a better idea: coffee. He had just finished some errands and was on his way home when he and Flippy ran into each other.

The invite seems iffy, but Flippy accepts, not wanting to run off like last time.

They walk and Splendid's smile drops a little, which draws Flippy's attention, the ex-soldier asking if everything's okay.

Splendid nods, saying everything's fine. He's just had some stuff on his mind that he can talk about when they get to his house.

Flippy stops for a second and watches Splendid continue walking, following behind more cautiously.

Cut to Splendid's house as the superhero fixes himself and his guest some coffee, though Flippy is slow to drink his because it doesn't smell like black coffee.

When asked, Splendid explains that the grounds were a little stale. He'd bought some that was fresh, but didn't want the old stuff to go to waste.

It calms Flippy enough for him to take a drink of coffee. He also asks what's been eating at Splendid, even apologizing for leaving him hanging last week.

Splendid shakes his head. Water under the bridge, everyone has their moments.

Speaking of moments, Splanedid asks if Flippy's been better since their race.

He shrugs, admitting that he's had worse happen, but that still doesn't make it good or even okay.

Splendid asks if he's ever gotten help for his 'issues' and Flippy asks back if he thinks Lumpy is really as good at everything as he thinks. Splendid supposes not, all things considered.

Done with the interview, and taking a drink of more coffee, because he's tired, Flippy asks what Splendid's deal REALLY is, and why he's so interested in Flippy's personal issues.

Splendid gives it to him straight: he's noticed that Flippy's trauma is bothering him on a pretty big level, and it has him worried for his friend, not because he can hurt people, but because he's seeing how unhappy Flippy is, and how much it tolls on him. He's had SOME experience with people who've had similar problems to Flippy's and there's a sort of therapy that's helped them. Granted, he knows Flippy doesn't enjoy flipping out, but, in a sick sense, his mind and body do. And there's a way to trick his mind into pushing his instincts away and leaving him with a normal life.

Flippy keeps his head propped up on an arm and finishes his coffee, so tired that he's barely listening and is instead asking for a fresh mug, because he doesn't understand either.

Splendid only takes his empty mug and suggests he's probably had enough coffee; he'll be up all night, if he drinks more than one cup and, as he's already said, Lumpy is a terrible doctor and will say he's about to die and overlook that he's just high of caffeine.

Flippy laughs and shakes his head, asking if Splendid is a better doctor and scoffing that he can take Lumpy.

He stops laughing when he sees that Splendid is straight faced and looks a little apologetic.

Yeah. Heavily delayed, 'oh shit!' moment for Flippy, who now realizes that there was something IN his coffee; he knows what stale coffee tastes like because he once suffered through a month of the stuff.

And he can't flip out on Splendid because he's too tired, so he's left to try running for the door.

That fails, too, so he can only pull and push himself away from Splendid, who apologizes for lying and for making Flippy go into such a panic, all the same he's just trying to help him and hopes he both forgives him and understands where he's coming from.

Flippy only keeps trying to get away, weakly telling Splendid to stay away from him.

From Flippy's blurry and world-spinny eyes, Splendid is the General from the Tiger Bomb mission, said General kneeling in front of him and smirking as Flippy knocks out with a sigh/groan.

Flippy doesn't wake up until MUCH later. He's got a splitting headache and, upon seeing all of the white-ish walls around him, sighs that he really must've fucked himself up when he set off that party popper, rubbing his head as he does so.

That's when he notices the handcuff and chain on his wrist, one that keeps him chained to one of the walls. He checks his other hand and sees that there's an identical handcuff on his wrist, also connecting him to the wall.

Not a dream.

Before Flippy can lose it, he sees a door open and Splendid walk in, looking very sheepish despite being the stronger of the two at the moment.

Before he can get any words out, Flippy charges toward him, at least until he's stopped by the chains.

It still makes Splendid jump back; powers be damned, if Flippy's mad at you, your days are numbered.

Splendid, from his place against the opposite wall, asks quite stupidly if Flippy's mad.

No. He's not mad at all. He's having the best damn day of his life, thank you for asking.

Sarcasm. All sarcasm that Splendid misses and is relieved by.

That relief vanished when Flippy charges again, pulling the handcuffs enough to make himself bleed.

Flippy demands to know what the hell is going on and why he's handcuffed in a padded cell.

When Flippy starts pulling a little too hard, like he's pulling hard enough to dent the chain links out of place, Splendid acts fast and aims a spray bottle at Flippy, and sprays water on him.

When Flippy backs down, Splendid repeats what he said upstairs, especially apologizing for not explaining how he was going to help him.

Flippy banks up, stands down, and sits down criss-crossstyle, which makes Splendid let out a sigh of relief, following his friend so they're sitting across from each other.

Flippy asks what EXACTLY Splendid was thinking when he drugged Flippy's coffee and then took Flippy to a loaded cell in his basement.

Splendid explains that he was just thinking and didn't regard what would have happened, even admitting that drugging the coffee wasn't his best or first plan; somehow sneaking up behind him with a nasty was, but that seemed insulting to Flippy's skills, so he thought about just working him out with races and exercise until Flippy passed out. That seemed like the most painful option, and the most tiring because wherever Flippy would fall would be unpredictable, so he just went south putting something in his coffee so he'd go unconscious for a little while.

Flippy takes all of this in and asks why Splendid didn't just ASK him to try this treatment he was babbling about earlier and Splendid admits that it's used for addicts to help them stop using whatever substance they're on. It's a pretty brutal technique, but it has worked.

The brutal part has Flippy concerned, so he asks what that means.

Splendid stops beating around the brush: aversion therapy. Using old war footage and medicine to make Flippy not want to go on a rampage whenever he gets triggeres.

Flippy stares at Splendid for a minute before taking off his boot and throwing it at him, asking if he's out of his damn mind.

That's not how his 'issues' work. Aversion therapy is meant to change another person so they AVERT away from something. Besides, what if they go through the therapy and Flippy's ordered backninto service, but ends up dead because he can't rely on his instincts?

Problem solved already because, as Splendid points out, Flippy's on a paid leave; his job is to stay OUT of the army now.

Flippy readies his other boot and Splendid backs down. Yes, he could've been more open about this to him. Yes, the whole chained to the wall in a basement thing is WAY too far. Yes, he should have told him as soon as he can, and he's sorry he didn't.

Flippy calms down and asks why he thinks it will work. No offense, but this is already working less than anythung Lumpy did, and the fool hypnotized himself into being a chicken.

Splendid admits he isn't sure, but he still wants to try to help.

Flippy asks what he'll do if he refuses to try this therapy. He's already on pills.

Splendid shrugs and says that while he'll be disappointed, he'll understand and won't be mad. Again, he just wants to help his friend and this is something that's worked for other people, not the chaining to the wall thing, but the aversion and sensory friendly environment, hence the padded room that isn't white, just a very light grey mixed with some blue, which is a calming color.

Flippy considers it for a minute before askung Splendid if he absolutely knows what he's doing.

Splendid nods. It took him a little freshing up and some review from a friend of his, yes. He knows what he's doing.

Flippy eyes him for a second before nodding, agreeing. Despite not saying it out loud, he wants to live life without worrying about killing everyone or snapping because his old instincts getting the better of him.

But stipulates that as soon as things get REALLY bad, they're calling this whole thing off and won't have anything to do with each other after that point.

Splendid rightfully agrees to those terms and tells Flippy to follow him to another room.

Flippy holds up his hands, reminding him of the handcuffs.

Those come off and the two leave the room, Flippy hoping Splendid was good on his word that he knew what he was doing.

Splendid shares a similar sentiment, instead hopi g that he can help his friend have a normal life.

Paranormal Stuff

As usual, at this point, some things I noticed in the new trailer.

Curtain, dreamcatcher and small old picture frame are nice, but I’, not convinced about the fireplace look, despite the side shelves. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the moon so big??

I hope lights actually do this.

The doll is so cute. Also the cube boc and the written hand are nice.

Again, I hope candles actually turns black/blue. The bird thing is also nice, reminds me of Egypt.

I mean, it’s nice I guess, but I wasn’t expecting this “style” to go with this pack. Remove the ghosts and you’re actually going to have Movie stuff 2.0. I’m kinda tired of this “bohemian/country style and desaturated clothes” like Movie, Laundry, Strangerville, Batuu etc. I wish there had been a more “edgy” approach in terms of clothes/furnture like RoM and Vampires.

Initially I thought these were the captured ghosts, but apparently they are just decor?

The “2020 mood” ghosts. And a, what appears to be, african statuette? Also, another hanging plant finally.

OMG so fricking scaaaryyyyyyy *sarcasm* but at least the hands plant on the background is cute. More of that kind of stuff please.

The small cowplant is cute and the fact that they used Strangerville plant on the frames is nice too.

Johnny Depp, is that you? At this point couldn’t it have been Tim Burton’s aesthetic?

Uhm, nice I guess? But still the style doesn’t scream fortune teller nor creepy dark witch to me. The characters dressed like this seem out of place.

I hope you can actually see the face inside and that’s not just a video effect.

I’m not really sure if I like the animation overall, seems a little stiff and repetitive? Idk.

Bob is me right now. Not fazed at all.

Gnomes and bees 2.0.

Apparently the ghosts are going to mess the place and the the new career includes being a maid.

Don, don’t try to flirt with the new dead maid. The candy vases remind me of Coraline, the cups are nice but probably just decore, and I hope the cupcakes aren’t made with actual ghosts.

What a nice bonding activity to do with your kids! I mean, they can’t take care of plants but I’m sure trying to break the wall between the living world and the realm of the dead is way less dangerous!

In conclusion, my personal opinions are: I don’t like the style of the pack, nor I like the fact that the ghosts are more cute than anything (at this point it seems they aren’t even trying to appeal to the older players, but just to the very young ones). I really would have liked a more dark/creepy/edgy approach. The evoke/banish ghosts alone seems boring in term of visuals and I think making it a career is the only right thing to do to make this feature more useful. I speak as a player who loves supernatural and occults, but this pack doesn’t inspires me that much. I admit, before the Disney ad pack I really really loved TS4 and I couldn’t stand all the negativity surrounding it, but after that extremely urequired pack the game didn’t appeal me that much anymore. Each announcement after that, except for the skintones and sliders, never really made me excited for the game again, and I know at the moment TS4 isn’t really pleasing family nor occult players with the new releases. I, at least, will hardly call this supernatural/occult and I hope they are not going to hide behind this SP and say that they’ve fulfilled occult players wishes. I’m still hoping that this year we’re going to get another proper occult type (like fairies, werewolves, maybe helves, zombies etc) and the preview pics of the skintone update kinda hinted at that, I distinctly remember there were a pink and yellow swatch on the unnatural category, something we don’t have and can’t achieve with the sliders and existing skin colors. Maybe this is just a precursor of something bigger since the year just begun. In the end I’ll still buy it cause I like some things and I’m a collector (except for batuu) but I’ll wait for a 50% sale at least.

PS: I’m probably going to write a post about life and stuff in the next days. I needed some time off for myself and I’m sorry I left you like this.

Fallen Angel (Venable X reader) Part 1

This story is part of a series that will extend over two, maybe three of SP characters. They will be named different things (if it's a different character and I will finish one's plot before I post the other, probably) but will all be linked together. None will be chronological but I will be easier to follow, if not I'll tell you right upfront. 

It’s a short chapter.

Summary/idea: Two strangers come to 'save' the occupants of outpost 3. Neither are what they seem.

(The reader is purposely all over the place)

"Honestly, I'm trying not to think about it at all. I'm more interested in whoever Venable is hiding in her office."

The purples muttered amongst themselves while waiting to be served their nutrition cubes.

A man with long strawberry blonde hair walked into the room, the outpost members guessed he was in his late twenties. Following the stranger was a woman an inch shorter. The man was attractive, with a well-defined jaw and piercing blue eyes. The male attracted members of the outpost could already see themselves swooning over him. The woman, or what they assume is a woman, she appeared far younger than her counterpart, was by no means unattractive but she bordered the lined of cute than what would be seen as societally attractive. She wore a long black skirt that hid her shoes, a black shoulder and black corset that barely allowed the white blouse underneath to peek through. She didn't wear the same face of intimidation as the man she was with.

The man addressed the crowd of greys and purples, "My name is Langdon, and this is my associate Y/N L/N." He gestured to you. You smiled widely and waved at the purples. They looked at you confused. "We represent The Cooperative."

“I won't sugarcoat the situation. Humanity is on the brink of failure. Our arrival here was crucial to the survival of civilized life on Earth…” Michael started his long speel about why the two of you were there, yadda yadda, it’s all boring to you, you couldn’t wait for the more interesting stuff to start. As he talked you took your time to study this outpost’s residents. You didn’t think twice about half of them, none of them catching your interest. 

 “We will then use the information gained to determine if you belong.” He must be up to telling them about his process of selection, ‘The Interview’.  We both knew that’s bullshit, the whole thing was, you can’t learn everything you need from their word of mouth, that’s stupid, people lie, you know. 

"You don't have to sit for questioning. The process should only take me a couple of days, so you won't be kept in suspense forever. For those of you who don't make the cut, all is not lost. If the worst should happen and feral cannibals come knocking, down one of these. One minute later, you fall asleep and never wake up."

"I volunteer to go first." The man had guts, that or he was stupid. By the quick study of him… stupid, definitely stupid. 

"And so you shall," Michael said. 

"I look forward to meeting each and every one of you."

"What about y/n? Is she going to be in the interviews too?” Emily asked. “You said you'd be doing the interviews. What about her?"

"We can't get all the information we need from word of mouth," You deadpanned, staring directly at her. She tensed up, her eyes fixed on yours. Everyone felt uneasy. “How are we meant to know how you get on with others, or how adaptable you are simply by interviewing you?”

“We could give examples?” She was unsure of her answer. 

“Who’s meant to back them up? I can’t call your boss or whoever you use as your referee, they’re dead. Do I look like a psychic?”

“No.”

There was silence for a minute before you cracked up, “Just kidding, the interviews bore me. You should have seen your face. Did you see her face, Mickey?” Michael groaned. You were immature at the best of times and the worst. He told you a million times to not call him Mickey or whatever nickname you came up with at the time. You were here for business, you needed to be professional.

“Y/N-”

“OW~ NUTRITION CUBE,” you screaked out dashing over to the table and grabbing one of the purples plates as well as their fork. “I haven’t eaten since ‘92. I had this disgusting pheasant- at least I think it was a pheasant, it could’ve been beef.”

“Those are two different kinds of meat.”

“One’s a bird.”

“Good for it, it’s hard to be a bird. Believe me, I’ve tried.” Everyone looked at you as if you were insane. You didn’t mind. You hopped on the table and started eating. 

“I don’t know if I want to be accepted any more,” Coco said watching you scoff down the meal you stole. “We don’t have to be like her to get in, do we?”

“No,” Michael answered.

“What’s wrong with me?” You covered your mouth so you could talk. You had some manners. 

“How about we get set up for the first interview while they have their meal?” Michael asked. 

“Alright,” you placed down your back from where you stole it from. You hopped off the table looking back briefly to wave goodbye. “Hey, you ate your meal fast.” You said pointing to the meal you ate a second ago. 

“She’s kidding right?” Andre asked. The others shrugged. 

“Y/N!”

“One Second.”

The interview was long and tedious. You had to find ways to pass the countless hours you had been in the underground bunker. The others didn't treat you with respect, they tried to use you to guarantees themselves a spot in the Sanctuary. 

Little did they know how little say you had in the 'picking'. You were allowed to pick one person (which you hadn’t found yet) as compensation for all your help guiding Satan's boy. It wasn't the first time you had run into the devil reincarnated, his son or a possessed human. Satan, though powerful, could never be down here in his true form, he'd be too recognisable even with some form of perception filter. It's like trying to hide when you have a chip tracking you, utterly useless.

You'd heard whispers about this outposts leader, things that intrigued you. It was as clear as day that she liked neither of you, but that didn't stop you from gawking at her.

You chilled in the music room as the others had their daily social hour. You sipped down the drink one of the greys gave you. You eyed every person, once again analysing everyone in the room. Some you hadn’t noticed in your time here. Still didn’t make them interesting. You’d be surprised if any of these people are kept alive. 

“So what’s the deal with the same song on loop?” You asked the group. They looked at you like you were stupid. The Morning After by Maureen McGovern played on repeat the whole time you were there, you tempted to change in but you assumed it was some sort of sick joke on the occupants, its a hopeful song the first time you heard it. It could give them the wrong idea.

“What do you mean?” One said. You couldn’t care less about their names. “That had to be in some sort of your plan right?”

“Nope. Must be one of the things your leader added. Ms V, was it?”

“Added?”

“Like your colour systems, most places had it so the more work you did the more benefits you’d get. That being said they had slaves too. Depends on the base I guess. Also, a lot of them have more people.”

“They were killed off.”

You leant forward and directly stared at the man, Timothy maybe. “Tell me more about that?” You tilted your head, finding sudden interest in murders happening in these walls. “Were they infected?” All your goofiness the remaining occupants knew to be a character trait for was tossed in the trash. None of them could piece you together. Maybe you were just crazy? 

“One was, allegedly, they may have fed him to us.” 

You turned your head to Andre, “Your boyfriend right, how sick is that? How could they do something like that?” You clutched your armchairs arm, digging your black claws into the wood.

“How did you know-” Timothy asked.

“-it was his boyfriend?” Your head snapped back to Timothy. “His body language and the fact he looked utterly depressed when you mentioned it.” You eased back into your chair. “And the others? What caused their murders?”

“Rule-breaking.”

“Mainly procreation.”

“At the end of the world are you not allowed to procreate? Are you trying to kill humanity?” They caught on quick that was another one of their rules they implemented in the outpost. Most started complaining about that. You took this as your time to meet this Venable more formally. 

You knocked on her office door. “Who is it?” she bellowed. 

“Y/N,” you announced confidently. 

“Ms L/N, come in.” She didn’t bother getting up to let you in, she doubted you would be long. Micheal was the one she could hold a sophisticated conversation (not to say that she wanted to), she presumed you were just some kooky eye candy he’d brought along. You had done very little work- at least from what she could tell- you’ve only pestered the residence and used up precious resources- not to mention the constant staring. No matter where she was she always felt you watching her. It was giving her the heebie-jeebies.

You opened the door, it squicked. That caught your attention, you rocked it back and forth a couple times before. “This door needs to be fixed, it ruins the threatening mood you try to build up. I mean this isn’t a haunted house after all-” Haunted boarding school maybe but not a house. 

“Ms L/N, what are you doing in my office?” She peered up from her work. You hadn’t noticed them before but she was wearing glasses. They were nice, you liked them on her. From her profile, you knew she used to wear them but you assumed she got lasik. They must have been reading glasses all along, you’d worn glasses for a bit back in your ‘younger days’, different reasoning behind it, you weren’t exactly yourself back then but that’s a story for another time.

“I’ll send someone to fix that later.” You realised she asked you a question, “Uh~ right, you weren’t at the gathering.”

“I’m busy working, someone has to keep this place together.”

“And I admire your work, I really do-” You began.

“But?” She focused all her attention on you, closing the file she was looking at as you approached. 

“When was the last time you took a break? Had some fun?” You splayed yourself out on the chair in front of her desk. 

“I have fun-” She didn’t see how this was relevant. Why was she answering you? She didn’t have to answer to anyone.

“I bet you do, torturing the residence. I had to stop myself from laughing when I heard about your little incident with Stu. So clever, I would never have thought of something like that. But have you ever thought about your wants? Needs? Desires?”

“What are-”

“Come on V.”

“-It’s Ms Venable to you.”

“Kinky.” 

“I beg your pardon?” She stiffened. She was five seconds away from slapping you not that you would have minded. 

“My point is you can have anyone here and yet you remain the stubborn mule you always been.” You said. “I read your file, you're a right old bastard, but anyone would have to be if you worked with those cokeheads.”

“Get out of my office,” she snarled.

“Alright, alright. I guess you don’t want to know the juicy gossip about that Langdon bloke.”

“Wait-” You turn to face her. She didn’t want to say it, “You can stay.” She didn’t have a choice, something was up with that man. 

“Nah, I’m good. Maybe another time. Bring that bottle of red you hid from the others and two glasses- if you don’t have any a bowl will do, it's the end of the world, who’s to judge?” You left the woman baffled. You wanted her to ask you to stay and then you leave. Was this a game of chase to you? The door squeaked close behind you. “I’ll send someone over to fix that far yah now!” 

Who the hell did she let into the outpost?

Grind till powder a tea, on the pan mix one tbl.sp. ghee, 70 gr flour,fry till a light-brown colour.3 tbl.sp. of tea add in one l. of water , lead till boiling.Add milk, one tbl.sp. ghee oil, oily-flour mass, 100 gr of rice. Cook till rice ready, salt by taste.

Kalmyks    tea.

Brick tea 50 gr, milk 100 gr, ghee oil 1 tbl.sp, nutmeg 3 gr, bay leaf 3 pieces, 3 pinks, water one l.

Grind tea, add water, and lead till boiling, add milk, turn off fire, add ghee oil, bay leaf, nutmeg, pink. Infuse under lid on 6 min, filter.

Uzbek  s tea.

Green tea 2 tea.sp, water 0.5 l.

Warm a tea pot, add for 1/4 a hot water, add green tea, close lid, infuse minute. Add hot water till a half size, infuse under lid and towel for 3 min, add hot water and infuse under lid,towel for 3 min, fill in tea pot till top.

Japan s tea.

Green tea one tea.sp, water 250 gr.

Warm tea oven opening fire or in chan with boiled water. Grind tea green till dust, boil water, cool till 60C, add dust in one tbl.sp. of water, shake with brush till foam. Add receiving mass with water.Infuse under lid 3 min.

English tea.

Tea 5 tea.sp, creams 100 gr,water one l.

Scald a hot water a tea pot, add hot water for 2/5 a size, add tea, infuse 5 min. Scald a hot water or warm over fire are 4 tea cups. Add in cups on 25 gr warm creams, add infused tea and not keeping order adding creams and tea is affecting on tradition.

 Indian tea.

Tea 3 tea.sp, half of big lemon, sugar 2 tea.sp, ice 5 cubes, water 300 gr.

Warm tea pot good, add hot water, add tea, infuse under lid and towel for 5 min. Cool tea till 5-7 C, after add his in dish with 5 cubes of ice, three tea,sp. Sugar, half pieces of lemon, drink is on the small gulps.

Dalgona matcha

Material: - UHT milk - ice Cube

Dalgona ingredients: - 1 tablespoon greentea (matcha) powder - 2 tbsp warm water - 2 tbsp sugar - 2 tbsp whipped cream

How to make: 1. Mix and beat matcha sugar and water. 2. Enter the cream, stir until thickened, set aside. 3. Prepare milk and ice in a glass, pour the dalgona over the milk.

Dalgona milo

Bahan: - 2 sdm gula pasir - 1 sdm susu bubuk cokelat - 1 bungkus milo - 2 sdm air panas - 250 ml susu full cream - 1/2 sdm ovalet - es batu secukupnya

Cara membuat: 1. Campurkan seluruh bahan kecuali susu full cream, aduk rata dengan cepat sampai mengental. 2. Siapkan es batu dan susu uht cair di dalam gelas. Tuang adonan tadi. Beri toping susu bubuk cokelat milo di atasnya

Dalgona avocado coffee

Material: - 1/2 kilo of avocado - 1 tablespoon sugar (according to taste)  - 50 ml of boiled water - 1 white skm sachet

Coffee material: - 4 tbsp powdered sugar - 2 packs (4 grams) of Nescafe classic coffee - 2 tbsp hot water

How to make: 1. Mix all the avocado ingredients, then juice until smooth. Set aside. 2. Mix all the coffee ingredients, stir quickly until thickened. 3. Pour the avocado juice into a glass, add coffee on top

Dalgona coffee Oreo

Material: - 2 tbsp Nescafe Classic black coffee - 2 tbsp sugar - 300 ml of Greenfields full cream milk - 6 Oreos - 3 tablespoons of water - baloon whisk (for stirring coffee) - ice Cube

How to make: 1. For dalgona cream ingredients: mix black coffee, full cream milk, granulated sugar, and water. Beat quickly with a baloon whisk for about 5-7 minutes. Wait for it to change in texture like cream or foam. Set aside. 2. Put the Oreos into the glass, crush them. Enter the ice cubes according to taste. Pour in the full cream milk. Then put the dalgona cream on top

Dalgona Chocolatos

Material: 2 packs of Chocolate Chocolatos 2 sachets of white sweetened condensed milk 3 tablespoons granulated sugar 3 tablespoons hot water enough water 1/4 tbsp sp (bread developer)

How to make: 1. Combine the chocolate Chocolatos, hot water, and sugar. Stir until well blended. 2. Add the mixture until stiff. 3. Dissolve the sweetened condensed milk as usual. Add ice cubes. 4. Give the chocolate mixture that has been whipped

Dalgona coffee panas

Material: - 2 tbsp sugar - 2 sachets of Nescafe without pulp - fresh milk - 2 tbsp cold water / ice water

How to make: 1. Mix, then stir 2 sachets of Nescafe and granulated sugar with cold water. 2. Stir until the dalgona thickens, about 7-10 minutes more. 3. Warm milk in skillet. 4. Pour warm milk into a glass, then put the dalgona on top. 5. Sprinkle palm sugar to make it more delicious

Dalgona brown sugar

Material: - 2 tbsp palm sugar - ice to taste - 2 tablespoons of ground coffee without grounds - enough liquid milk - 2 tbsp warm water

How to make: 1. Put coffee on a plate. Enter the palm sugar and water. 2. Stir the coffee using a filter for about 3 minutes quickly. 3. Put ice and milk into the glass according to taste. 4. Pour coffee over it.

That’s really a hard question, because a) I don’t have that much time to watch TV (especially not since the pandemic started) and b) Comedy or something like that is not my ‘cup od tea’. If I watch a show, it’s mostly about historical topics. For me it’s important that I can take something with me to think about. Here are 3 German shows that did that for me:

1. “Unsere Mutter, unsere Väter” (engl. “Generation war”) 3 Episodes: 5 friends leave Berlin for WWII and promise they will stay friends. They believe the war will be over ‘by Christmas’, so it will not last more than 3 months. But then the reality of war and war crimes sets in ... All 5 have to make decisions that they never thought of before ... I started watching the show because of Tom Shilling who played one of the main characters in “Napola” (engl. “Before the Fall”) in a great way, but stayed for the story. It has helped me to better understand things that happend to my family during WWII. A last word about the cast: It had some of the best young actors Germany had at that time (2013).

2. “Weissensee” (engl. “The Weissensee-Saga”) - 4 Seasons: The show follows several families (and two love stories between them) trough the forty years of the history of the former communist GDR / East Germany, especially the rise and fall of a Stasi-Family and (in later Seasons) gives a little insight into the peaceful protest movement in East Germany that brought the regime down and let to the re-unification of our country. Very interesting for everyone who likes to know more about the former GDR. While “Generation war” cated mostly young actors, the cast of “The Weissensee-Saga” included some of the best older german actors. 3. “Charité” - 2 Seasons: The show is about the history of Berlin’s most famous hospitals “The Charité”. Season 1 was interesting because it focused on a young girl who became a nurse (by accident) and later went on to study medicine in Switzerland. Besides it showed the story of some of the important doctors and professors of that time and their great sacrifices to develop new medicines and medical techniques. I didn’t like Season 2 (which is set in the time of WWII) that much, because I felt it played too much with cliches.

4. Not a German, but a Norwegian show that captured my interest was “Occupied”. - 2 Seasons: It’s a fictional story in which Norway is occupied by Russia in the wake of an energy crisis. The show follows different persons and their way to handle the new situation in which history has thrown them from one day to the next. The main question the show asks, is: What is freedom and how to stay free in an occupied society.

To answer your question, let me share a receipt for Walnut bread with rosemary herbs with you:

600 g wheat flour type 1050 400 ml lukewarm water 1 cube fresh yeast or 1 package dry yeast 1 ½ tsp salt (if you want; I make it without salt, because of my bloodpressure) 1 ½ tsp sugar 200 g walnut kernels 2 sp of dried or fresh crushed rosemary herbs

The pure working time for the walnut bread is about 30 minutes. Plus 2 ½ hours for walking and about 50 minutes for baking.

PREPARATION:

Sift the flour into the mixing bowl of the food processor and insert the dough hook. If you do not have a food processor, roll up your sleeves and knead by hand: 8-10 minutes! I measure 200 ml of lukewarm water in a measuring cup, dissolve the sugar and yeast in it and stir 2-3 more tablespoons of the flour with a whisk. I leave this pre-dough to stand for about 20 minutes until it bubbles nicely. During this time I roast the walnuts in a coated pan without oil at medium to high heat. A TIP: First put the finished nuts from the package into a coarse sieve and sieve off the flour and the small particles - they burn too quickly in the pan. I move the walnuts around in the pan all the time so that they roast evenly. As always, when you roast nuts or seeds, nothing happens for a long time and then everything happens very quickly. That's why you should always have a bowl or plate ready to get the nuts out of the pan quickly before they turn black. When the walnuts are cooled down, I take a handful of them off and put them aside. I chop the rest finely.  Then I add the chopped walnuts and the herbs (together with the salt, if you use it) to the sifted flour and switch the food processor to level 1. Then I slowly add the pre-dough, fill the measuring cup with another 200 ml of lukewarm water, but add this to the dough only little by little, because each flour absorbs a different amount of water. If the dough seems too crumbly, more water can be added. If it sticks a little to the bottom of the bowl, but forms into a piece of dough, it is good. I leave the dough to knead for about 7 minutes at level 1 and then for the last minute at level 2, switch off the machine, check again that everything is well kneaded and cover the bowl with cling film to prevent the dough from drying out. It may now rise for about 1 ½ hours. During this time the dough increases its volume enormously - thanks to the many yeasts. However, each yeast dough must be kneaded a second time - this time by hand. To do this, I place the dough on a clean and floured surface and work it through again for about 2 minutes. During this process I work in the walnuts that I have set aside, which I have only roughly chopped through 2-3 times with a knife. Then I form a ball from the dough and let it rest for about 5 minutes. During this time I butter a box form of approx. 30 cm length and sprinkle additional flour into it. Then I take the dough ball, press it out with my hands on a clean, floured work surface to form a rectangle. I cover the baking tin with a baker's linen or a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in it for another 40 minutes.  In the meantime, I preheat the oven to 200°C top/bottom heat - the grill on the bottom rail and, if possible, a small metal bowl on the floor. When the dough has risen for the second time, I put the baking tin on the rack in the oven and quickly put about 1 large shot glass full of water into the metal bowl and close the oven door quickly. Due to the steam blast the bread develops a particularly beautiful crust. But be careful: there is a risk of burns when steaming water! After about 10 minutes I open the oven door for about 10 seconds, let off the remaining steam and switch the oven back to about 180°C. After a total of 45-50 minutes baking time the bread is ready. But I leave the oven still on and let the bread cool down only enough so that I can remove it from the baking box. Because of the form the bottom is still quite soft, so I put the bread into the oven again for 10 minutes and cover it with a piece of aluminium foil so that it only gets heat from below. Then the bread is ready and can cool down on a cake rack. It smells wonderful and it is difficult to wait the hour until it can be cut. Toasted and with some fresh butter the bread is a real treat!
