So we crawl out of bed the day after New Year's Eve (during which we stayed up till 2:30 in the morning) and I find these two drunken assholes on my couch. 

I say drunk and not hungover because they were still sloshed in the morning when we got up for breakfast, which means they'd been drinking from 2:30 am ‘till about 9:30 am. Considering their bodies looked about as liquefied as their brain cells, I don't think they stopped drinking that entire time.

But man, can Blitz hold his liquor! As soon as we made our breakfast, he wanted to wish his new fans on Tumblr a Happy New Year. Given the fact that I think he'd been drinking for seven straight hours (because all of the champagne in the house we had bought for New Year's and didn't use was gone), that is kind of a Goddam miracle that he could form a coherent sentence, let alone not be dead from liver poisoning.

So Happy New Year from these two idiots.

I love it when someone talks about watching "Less Corporate Animation" (Indie Animation) and then mentions HB, TADC and MD as if they are the only indie animation that fucking exists

I know, shocking, but there are also animated shorts, and they don't get much attention… They can even be fucking stickmen, and they often tell more stories in a few minutes than full-length animations

Seriously, if you require animation at the level of TV and stemming, then I'm sorry, but you don't understand the beauty of indie animation, because it's not the HD graphics that are the key, but the plot

Seriously, I have the impression that when people talk about indie animations, they mean the most "Advanced" ones, and that's depressing, because really, a lot of animations are even on fucking YouTube, and it's really depressing, many of them come from Africa, Muslim countries, Asia ( Not Japan and Korea, but e.g. Thai ad Indie, yes, there are animations on YouTube, I've seen them), I also saw indie animations from my country (Poland)

It's not fair that animation has to be from English-speaking countries or of corporate quality for people to talk about it… Yes, I don't remember the titles, but I've seen them, they are often different from the mainstream ones, which makes it it's something new and fresh, unfortunately, it's better to talk about the famous ones…

Today was a good day!

Worked with my new partner, today was her first day. She was supposed to be shadowing, she ended up helping. Her customer service is excellent and she knows more about Epic than I do. She is...the Ultimate Partner.

Got my financial counseling appointment set up. It's through the EAP, the counselor will be calling from North Carolina. So I'll talk basic budget, SSDI, and debt consolidation, but I'm not super optimistic about them knowing about Colorado specific things like food stamps and Medicaid.

I still smell like a laundromat.

New Boss is under investigation!
