Ready-to-use mashed potatoes for your dishes
Mashed potatoes are used in so many wonderful dishes. It can stand out on its own to make things like fried cheese-stuffed potato balls or spicy potato cutlets, or you can use as part of a larger recipe such as aloo paranthas, shepherds pie, or pav bhaji. Sometimes I just feel like experimenting! Potatoes are cheap, delicious, and pretty dang nutritious!
But on some days, I don't feel like going through the whole process of peeling, cutting, boiling, and mashing the potatoes. Here's a great solution: keep mashed potatoes in your freezer!
I like to do this right after I buy my potatoes. I'll buy a 5 pound bag and peel, chop, boil, and mash the whole thing. I divide it into 10 sandwich bags, so each bag is 1/2 pound. Squeeze all the air out, flatten the bag evenly, and freeze the bags in a stack. Once frozen, the flattened bag thaws quickly in hot water! Just 5 minutes and your mashed potatoes are ready to use. It'll keep in your freezer for many months.
Tumblr media
The most important thing is to NEVER salt your potatoes or add any other ingredients. Only potatoes. Adding other ingredients risks it becoming soggy when you defrost. And don't overcook!
I also highly recommend using a potato ricer, rather than an old fashioned potato masher. It will keep your potatoes soft and fluffy, not gluey. It also prevents lumps which in most recipes can be an issue. Overworking your potatoes with a masher ruins the texture! This is true whether you freeze it or use it fresh.
I often just thaw the potatoes and mix all the spices inside the bag rather than dirtying a bowl, then scoop it into a hot pan with oil for super fast potato cutlets. Or you can even snip the corner of the bag and pipe it on top of shepherds pie, or right into some hot oil for some fried potato sticks!

The Secret to Delicious Pav Bhaji: Crafting the Perfect Pav Bhaji Masala
Tumblr media
Let me take you on a little journey. Imagine this: A rainy evening, the smell of freshly toasted pav in the air, and in front of you, a steaming, flavorful plate of bhaji. That is the magic of Pav Bhaji—the ultimate comfort food that brings people together with its rich flavours and soul-soothing warmth. But have you ever wondered what makes a good Pav Bhaji truly unforgettable? It's all about the masala, well, let me spill the secret—it's all about KBM Pav Bhaji Masala!
The Making of a Perfect Pav Bhaji Masala
Now, you're wondering. "Can't I just pick any masala off a shelf and be done with it?" Of course, you can. But let me tell you, that special something in KBM Pav Bhaji Masala is what sets your bhaji in the air. It all depends on the right masala to create these layers of flavour that do this dance in your mouth—sweet and spicy, together, all at once.
The Ingredients – All About Freshness
To make the perfect Pav Bhaji, you will require potatoes, tomatoes, onions, peas, and bell peppers. Fair enough-the magic happens with the KBM Pav Bhaji Masala. Our blend has everything you need: the richness of cumin, the warmth of coriander, the punch of red chilli, and the tanginess of amchur. It's a symphony of flavours packed in one easy-to-use masala.
How to Make Delicious Pav Bhaji at Home
Let's cook! Here's how you make that perfect, street-style Pav Bhaji at home.
1. Start with a Mixture of Veggies: Boil potatoes, peas, and bell peppers together until they are tender enough to mash. And this gives the *bhaji* its thick, comforting texture.
2. Sauté onions and tomatoes: Now, heat some butter in a pan (because butter makes everything better!) and sauté the finely chopped onions till they are golden brown. Then add the tomatoes and let them cook down till they are soft.
3. The star ingredient: Now it is time to sprinkle in the magic – KBM Pav Bhaji Masala. A simple mixture of it in the dish sets off the transformation. The fragrance will start filling your kitchen.
4. Mix it all up: Now toss in your boiled vegetables into the pan and blend in with the onion-tomato mixture. Let it simmer for a few minutes so the spices soak in with every bite.
5. Garnish and serve: A little extra butter and some fresh coriander leaves pressed in and a squeeze of lime to bring it all together; serve with toasted golden browns of pav buttered.
And voila! Your platter of Pav Bhaji is sure to conquer even the most hardened of street food critics.
Cooking Tips for the Perfect Bhaji
Here are a few secrets to take your Pav Bhaji to a whole new level:
- Don't be stingy about butter: Use lots and lots of it. It's key to that rich, indulgent taste.
- Tomatoes are your friend: The more ripe and juicy your tomatoes, the better your bhaji will taste. It gives that subtle tanginess, balancing out the spices.
- Squeeze some lemon: A dash of lemon juice right before serving gives the bhaji a fresh, zesty kick.
Flavour Enhancements with KBM Masala
You would be wondering what all the furore regarding KBM Pav Bhaji Masala is. It is because our blend is expertly prepared from highest quality spices that ensure perfect flavour in every bite of pav bhaji. Unlike masalas whose flavour might be overpowering or pale, the balance between bold and harmonious that they achieve cannot be superseded by KBM Masala.
Plus, it's versatile! Want to add a twist to your bhaji? Throw in some grated cheese or top it with chopped onions for added crunch. The masala works wonders with any variation you want to try.
Homemade Spice Mix – The KBM Difference
You can also try making your own Pav Bhaji Masala at home, but that is by no means a cakewalk. The magic of KBM Masala lies in the fact that we have done all the hard work for you. We have mixed the spices in just the right proportions so that you need only add this to your recipe and watch it all come together. Trust us on this one; we have perfected it so you don't have to.
Wrapping It Up – Indian Comfort at Its Best
So, there you have it-the secret to mouthwatering, unforgettable Pav Bhaji is all in the KBM Pav Bhaji Masala. Only a sprinkle of this spice mixture will give you a delicious comfort meal that is laced full of an authentic Indian taste and shows why street food is India's favourite.
Why settle for less than good when KBM Masala will have your Pav Bhaji hit every single time? It's time to make a list of all ingredients, collect the family and present this drooling meal to everybody.

Seasoning Masala Manufacturers in India: A Spice-filled Journey
Tumblr media
Seasoning Masala Manufacturers in India: A Spice-filled Journey
India, the "Land of Spices," has been known for its vibrant flavors and aromatic spices for centuries. From ancient times to modern kitchens, masalas (spice blends) have been central to Indian cooking, infusing dishes with rich taste and aroma. Among the many kinds of spices, seasoning masalas—a special blend of spices designed for specific dishes—are a must-have in every Indian home. Over time, the manufacturing of these masalas has transformed from small, artisanal blends into a large-scale industry that now meets global demand.
In this blog, we’ll take a closer look at the journey of seasoning masala manufacturers in India, explore how they’ve become essential to Indian cooking, and spotlight some of the top brands in the market.
Why Seasoning Masalas are Essential in Indian Kitchens
Imagine cooking a paneer tikka or chicken curry without that perfect seasoning—it would be like losing the soul of the dish. Indian cooking is all about balancing flavors, and masalas are the magic ingredient that does the trick. Whether it's a warming garam masala sprinkled on a curry or a tangy chaat masala tossed over snacks, seasoning masalas add depth and richness to every bite. They make life easier for both busy homemakers and professional chefs, offering a consistent, ready-to-use blend of spices.
In today’s fast-paced world, seasoning masalas are lifesavers, making it quicker and easier to whip up traditional dishes while maintaining authentic flavors. They provide the consistency and convenience that modern kitchens demand.
The Rise of Seasoning Masala Manufacturing
India is the world’s largest producer of spices, supplying about 75% of global spice needs. This natural abundance has given rise to a thriving industry of masala manufacturers. These companies have perfected the art of blending spices, ensuring their products offer authentic, high-quality flavors with every pinch.
The growing demand for seasoning masalas has been fueled by several key factors:
Time-Saving Solutions: With busy lifestyles, people want to cook faster without sacrificing flavor. Pre-mixed seasoning masalas make complex dishes simple and quick to prepare.
Rise in Packaged Foods: As more people turn to ready-to-cook meals and packaged foods, there’s a growing demand for seasoning masalas that complement these quick-fix meals.
Global Love for Indian Cuisine: Indian food is now enjoyed worldwide, and with it comes a demand for authentic Indian spices. This global appreciation has boosted exports of seasoning masalas to the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
Top Seasoning Masala Brands in India
India’s masala market is home to several well-known brands that have earned the trust of consumers with their flavor-packed blends. Let’s explore a few leading names:
MDH (Mahashian Di Hatti Ltd.) No Indian kitchen is complete without MDH masalas. Founded in 1919, this brand is synonymous with quality and consistency. From their signature garam masala to specialized blends like chicken masala and chana masala, MDH has become a household name not just in India but around the world.
Everest Spices Everest is one of India’s most popular masala brands, offering a wide range of spice blends that cater to various regional cuisines. Their kitchen king masala, pav bhaji masala, and meat masala are staples in many homes, thanks to their authentic taste and reliable quality.
Badshah Masala Known for their rich flavors, Badshah Masala has been a trusted name in Indian kitchens for decades. Their masalas bring a traditional touch to every dish, whether it's sambhar, biryani, or butter chicken. Badshah’s blends are crafted with precision, making them the go-to choice for home cooks and chefs alike.
Catch Spices Catch Spices stands out with its modern packaging and commitment to preserving the natural flavors of spices. Their unique vacuum-sealed packaging helps retain freshness, making their masalas a popular choice for those who want long-lasting flavor. From chaat masala to tandoori masala, Catch has something for every dish.
Hariom Masala Pvt. Ltd. Hariom Masala, though relatively younger compared to the giants like MDH, has been making waves with its high-quality, authentic spice blends. What sets Hariom Masala apart is their dedication to sourcing fresh spices directly from the farms and blending them to perfection. Whether it’s a regional specialty like Rajma masala or an everyday staple like kitchen king masala, Hariom’s products bring out the essence of traditional Indian cooking in every bite.
Challenges Faced by Masala Manufacturers
Despite the massive growth, the seasoning masala industry faces some challenges:
Raw Material Quality: The quality of raw spices can fluctuate depending on weather conditions, making it difficult to maintain consistent quality across batches.
Adulteration Issues: Ensuring the purity of spices is a concern in the industry. Leading manufacturers have invested heavily in quality control, but smaller producers still struggle with maintaining high standards.
Packaging and Shelf Life: Spices can lose their aroma and potency over time. To combat this, manufacturers invest in advanced packaging solutions that help retain the freshness of their products for longer periods.
Conclusion
The seasoning masala industry in India is a vibrant blend of tradition, innovation, and quality. From trusted household names like MDH and Everest to rising stars like Hariom Masala, these brands ensure that the authentic flavors of Indian cuisine are available to people around the world. As demand for quick, flavorful cooking solutions continues to rise, Indian seasoning masalas will only grow in popularity—bringing the magic of Indian spices to kitchens far and wide.
