Sorry for the late reply I went a little crazy with these two.

So the idea is that the the pirate was the second in command to the captain of a notoriously violent crew and yada yada invasion, yada yada, he ends up killing the “adoptive” daughter of a frost god, so the frost god sends the ghost of his daughter to torment the pirate in his dreams for his sins.

So to evade this he tries to avoid sleeping and so the god sends madness and hallucinations, this obviously freaks his crew out and they leave him in a port town, thus starting his new “quiet” life as a fisher. But the dreams still continue so he makes a deal with the god to go on a journey with a now physical apparition of his dead daughter, and bring her to the frost gods first ever temple (on the other side of world) idk why yet though 😊
