Jughead Jones, famous woman-hater.
#at this point I’m just being redundant#like yes yes we all know that he’s a feminist we all know the ‘woman hater’ title is ridiculously inaccurate#I just find it amazing that it was inaccurate in the og comics#it would have been so easy for these old comics to have a character be legitimately misogynistic 24/7#especially when he keeps TELLING people that he hates women#it would have been so easy for them to actually make him act like it#but instead we get this#and that’s so wonderful and fascinating to me#it’s not something they had to fix in the reboot to make his character more palatable. he was already like this.#archie comics#jughead jones#archie andrews#betty cooper#veronica lodge#aroace jughead#sure he says a few actually misogynistic things here and there over the course of 80+ years#but that’s drowned out by a tidal wave of times he’s a good friend to the girls and supports them and defends them and etc.#in a world with very little consistency and a very long runtime: majority rules

doing this riverdale essay is really showcasing how dirty they did my girl veronica wow
#so much of the tropes and subversion that is the root of the show is not present nearly as much with veronica she's just there!#of course there's the mafia stuff but besides that... and it's crossing genres but it's not subversive in the way i.e betty crossing over#to the horror genre is

that nose ring story "that certain ring"
Wanting to cut short just a tad the bottom expansion, they toss in a blue bar at the top of the page.
Note the red on Weatherbee's face disappears.
Also. Ms. now.
And I need to point out some screwy politics here. Mr. Weatherbee has no authority on this matter. And understand, when "dress code wars" news stories flash past me usually in autumn -- I am not automatically standing with the student rebels. (Ironically enough often are taking school overly seriously.). But Betty should call in the ACLU for this civil liberties violation.
#Archie Comics#Betty Cooper#Ms. Phlips#Mr. Weatherbee#Nancy Woods#Veronica Lodge#Reggie Mantle#Mr. Hassle#Miss Oliver#nose ring#No piercing of course#Red cheek#Stan Goldberg#1998#Indicia filler#Kind of an overly military-esque greeting for the superintedent -- has to be better way to greet a boss

Hey, can I request a J.D. x fem!reader where when he comes to the school as the new kid, she’s the character who gets his attention? He watches her from afar and joins clubs that he doesn’t participate in so he can learn more about her? He becomes her lab partner which comes with a few projects that take place at home (his) or public library where he admires her while she works
#heathersrequest
I changed the plot a little because I had some serious writing block, but I hope you enjoy!
Take Me Out

𝜗𝜚 - j.d x fem!reader
𝜗𝜚 - fluff?
𝜗𝜚 - mentions of death, light stalking
ღ - a/n: if you couldn't tell by now I have a thing for psychopaths. In my defense cinema makes them too hot.
"so if you're lonely, you know I'm here waiting for you"
Westerburg high. It was no different from your average high school. The asshole jocks, the noisy cafeteria, the teachers who seemed like they practically ran on coffee as if it was the only thing keeping them from a mental breakdown. And then of course the clique of popular girls; the last ingredient in the wonderful dish we call a classic high school. The only minor difference this particular group had from almost every other flock of popular girls you would ever come across was that the girls all shared the same name- Heather.
You weren't very fond of them, not that anyone really was but something about Heather Chandler drew people in. Whether it was her terrifying demeanor or her 'won't take no for an answer' attitude you weren't sure. Either was it had crowned her queen bee along with her sidekicks Heather, Heather and later on, Veronica. There were times you questioned whether or not they all changed their names to match as a group but when Veronica came into the picture you decided against it. You really never knew why Veronica had joined the Heather's little gang, but friendships come and go so you assumed it was only natural that she would eventually drift away from Betty Finn. You had just never thought it would be with the Heather's of all people.
Veronica had this unique skill where she could write anything in anyone's handwriting. It was the type of skill you would have found yourself bragging about back in elementary school ── not that the Heathers viewed it that way. In their perspective this was the perfect ability for them to use to make whoever was next on their list the biggest laughingstock at Westburg High. And of course, they struck again humiliating poor Martha in the cafeteria the other day in front of everyone. The girl had run out crying, probably finding someplace to ditch for the rest of the day.
The Heathers never paid much mind to you. It wasn't that you were invisible; if anything, you were very outgoing, but you were nowhere near upstaging Heather Chandler and therefore were not deemed as a threat. The Heathers have a certain pattern for their targets── If you're a lonely nobody they could care less. If you're a lonely nobody that stands out on the other hand, well then you better start praying. Now if you're pretty the Heathers might ignore you or try to recruit you. But if you were to even come close as to overshadow Heather Chandler you might as well just have a big red bull's eye painted on your forehead.
Which brings us to you. If anyone had been asked to describe you, they would probably hesitate for a moment. You weren't necessarily part of any of the cliques, yet you were often seen surrounded by various friends. So, if a person was not part of a specific group what would that make them? You weren't a Heather that's for sure, but you weren't a nerd or an art freak or a cheerleader either. You were part of different clubs, but you weren't part of their fully fledged group. To most this would've been a small, meaningless, insignificant detail but it caught the eye of a certain dark-haired boy.
Jason Dean had just moved to Sherwood Ohio but what else was new. When your dad owned a demolition company you had to move all over the country. Starting at a new high school was nothing new to him and neither were the people. People tend to think that they're 'one of a kind' but in reality, everyone's the same. Maybe you might like a different movie than someone else, or maybe you just have a different hobby── but at the end of the day they all have the same boring mentality. No one can ever see the bigger picture, even if they think they can, they end up viewing it from a small window instead of breaking down the entire fucking wall. To J.D this was a tiresome subject, but it made people all the easier to manipulate. People are expandable; it's easy to throw them away after you've gotten what you wanted from them, save the special few of course.
You had successfully caught J. D's attention.
The following periods after lunch consisted of him asking around about you, subtly of course as not to draw attention to himself. All the intel he had managed to gather pointed to one fact── you were a mystery. A nerd yet popular.
According to some blonde in his history class, who he couldn't be bothered to remember the name of, you were part of the school's cheer team and were very close friends with the captain, who he later discovered was the brunette he had seen in the cafeteria. If you were a member of the cheer team, why would you have turned down the offer to sit with them? The question nagged at him while the teacher continued droning on about whatever historical event, they were currently learning about so naturally he did some more digging.
His next period was English and oh, he must be Gods favorite because sitting right in the front row desk was a girl he had seen you conversating with in the hallway. She was a bit nerdy looking, hair pulled back in a messy ponytail, wearing a tacky looking sweater and glasses to tie the whole ensemble together. He started some small talk playing on the new kid card, casually bringing you up during a certain topic and── "Oh her? Yeah, she's in the book club with me. Crazy to think a cheerleader of all people would hang out with girls like me huh." the girl had said with a small laugh.
Bingo.
So, you were in some book club which if the information he was given is correct, was being held today at the library after school hours. The blonde he had spoken with earlier had mentioned today being a free day with no cheer practice, so it was guaranteed he would be able to find you in the library after school. J.D couldn't help the smile that crept across his face.
And with that the boy set off to the library, strategizing on how to approach you. He needed to leave an impression; something that would leave you thinking about him. You didn't seem like the type to talk to nobodies. Then again you were in a fucking book club so perhaps he was wrong.
The hallway seemed like it was never ending, Jason thought to himself as he continued on to the door marked 'library'. There was no way it was always this long whenever he went to class, had it somehow changed in the one hour he had been in History? No, that's bullshit and you know it. It's just one of those 'a watched pot will never boil' type of situation.
Once he had (finally) made it to the library he was ecstatic. The large space was quiet apart from the occasional rustle of a page turning or the scribble of pencil on paper. Not many people wished to spend their afternoon at a school library, so you were relatively easy to spot. You sat at a desk near the very corner, tucked away like some secret treasure he had yet to discover. You appeared more relaxed reading here by yourself than you did when he had seen you at the cafeteria or in the hallway. It was a shame he had to break that atmosphere, but sacrifices must be made for the greater good.
He took long strides across the room closing in on you as a lion would while hunting its prey. He got a few curious glances from the small number of bystanders in the spacious room, but they were nothing more than pawns in J.D's mind. Just as this was nothing more than another game of chess he had yet to win.
"Greetings and salutations."
You looked up to be met with a handsome looking guy with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. 'You can always tell a person by their eyes' that's what your grandma would tell you as she braided your hair. "What do you mean nana?" little you would ask, and she would just chuckle in that sweet way old people did. "Well sugar you could meet the happiest man in the world, but you take a look at 'is eyes 'n and you could see a whole storm of hurt. Cause eyes never lie. No siree, no matter how good you can fib." and you would turn to look at her in amazement at this little secret. "Really?" you would ask in a hushed whisper. She smiled in a way her wrinkles drew deeper, making the aging lines in her face more prominent. "Really. Don't you ever forget it. Now let's go to bed hun it's getting late."
And you never did forget it. You peered into mystery man's eyes until you decided that he was like Oenanthe. On the surface he was perfectly normal, he even had what some would call a charming persona, but you knew better. You could see the storm that raged on the inside.
You set your book down and smiled "Normal people usually say hello y'know" you said as your gaze flickered over him.
This took him by surprise.
Not your response but the fact you were studying him. He was used to getting odd, lingering looks from people, but you were looking at him like he looked at other people. It was unnerving and fascinating, and he couldn't help the smile that ticked at the corner of his mouth. "Well what fun would it be being just like everyone else?" he said as his lingering gaze drifted to the book you had set aside. You followed his gaze and slotted a piece of torn notebook paper as a bookmark substitute and snapped it shut. You clicked your tongue and let a grin take over your questioning features "No fun at all mystery man." He chuckled and extended his hand, "Jason Dean, but you can call me J.D" he informed you with his trademark grin as you took his hand to shake. They were soft and warm, and lingered for a second longer than they had to. The dark haired boy cleared his throat before plopping down on the chair next to you. "So, uh, whatcha reading?" he asked, and you turned towards him. "Pet Semetary by Stephen King." you responded, grabbing the book to show him the cover. He looked over at the dark illustrations drawn onto the cover as his hands reached towards the book for a closer look. "Right, right cause of your little book club." he said as he flipped through the pages, skimming across the printed letters.
Maybe she’ll learn something about what death really is, which is where the pain stops, and the good memories begin. Not the end of life but the end of pain.
Now this line really caught his eye. This is exactly what he was looking for. This is what he had tried to tell Veronica who couldn't seem to accept the fact that all those suicides were a mercy. She never did come around, but he just had a gut feeling you would. He saw something in you. Something he saw in himself too. You had potential and God, if he wasn't going to help you achieve it.
"I mean, yeah, it's for book club but I chose this one. Stephen King's my favorite author." you grinned as you tore your gaze away from his and back to the book. His tongue swept over his chapped bottom lip as he hummed out a "really?" Your eyes lit up in an enthusiastic way, eager to speak about one of your passions. "Yeah, the way he writes just draws you in y'know what I mean? And it always reflects on human nature or society and it's just so fun to read. Like your brain just gets sucked into the story." The way you lit up at the mere fact that someone was willing to listen to you blabber on about some book was so adorable to J.D he couldn't bite back his smile. "So, then what's this book all about then. What's it reflect huh?"
Dear lord you were ecstatic; you've never really had anyone you were able to discuss this book with. Not in depth at least. It was true there were in fact other members in the book club but more often than not, you found their opinions extremely one sided and quite frankly, a bit boring. But J.D seemed hooked on your every word, and you couldn't be more grateful towards a guy you had just met. "Well Pet Semetary really reflects on people's outlook on life and death. How we perceive it, what religion and science have to do with it, how our brains accept it. It just lets you reflect on all that and it leaves you questioning shit."
You looked up at him with bright eyes and a hopefully expression. You looked as if you had just won the lottery and were waiting for your check to arrive. J.D cocked his head and flashed you a charming grin that seemed to come to him so naturally it left you wondering if he really was as perfect as he looked.
Eyes are the window of the soul
"Well, speaking of science-" he started speaking, "I need a lab partner 'n I figured since we're, uh, already acquainted you'd be the perfect candidate." he looked up from the now forgotten book to raise an eyebrow at you as if saying, 'so how 'bout it?'
You bit your lip weighing the pros and cons. Sketchy new kid with psychopath potential. The possibility of some type of chaotic event. You already knew Heather Chandler so what was one more crazy person? You rested your chin on the palm of your hand, "Alright Mr. Dean. I'll indulge you." you teased with an undertone of playfulness.
And so, J.D smiled. Smiled because if there was anything better than a cherry slushie it was you. Because you were going to fix this fucked up world together.

˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗ valentine's (teen) marauders dr
rosalind zachariah is the spunky, upbeat editor at the hogwarts herald; the youngest in the herald's history at only 16. always with a smile on her face and a nice thing to say, she's the girl next door; the betty to your crush's veronica.
bio:
ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 .ᐟ 𖦹 house: ravenclaw
ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 .ᐟ 𖦹 blood status: muggleborn
ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 .ᐟ 𖦹 wand: 16", golden shower wood, karkadaan core

ᯓ✦ miss mystery
a muggleborn born in cochin with a midwife for a mother and a history teacher for a father. grew up lower middle-class in lancashire, the child of two hardworking but loving parents. i'm a proud older sister, though my sister viola likes to call me smothering-- i prefer loving.
magic was a mere fairytale for me up until the day i came to hogwarts, where the world seemed to grow just a bit more colourful and bright. and why wouldn't? the portraits talk! the chocolate jump around! the stairs can move!
eventually, this became my reality. going to hogwarts was the same as any other school, and i learned to love it, with a little less enthusiasm; though i'm still professor flitwick's favourite and a frequent at dumbledore's office, talking to him about most everything. life is a rollercoaster; and i'm always on the ride, with my friend marlene by my side-- alice, fatimah and carlos are behind us, of course. as the editor-in-chief of the hogwarts herald and the anonymous writer of the advice column (under the name miss mystery), i am always looking for the new scoop. the newspaper reports on everything; politics, sports, gossip, fashion, lifestyle. its big business, and its even read outside of the school, which makes my job even harder. lucky for me, its my passion; just as much of a passion as teaching. i tutor younger students and i love it. it's not all sunshine and roses, however. blood purity is a hot topic at the school, and muggleborns like me have become enemy number one. even my very own brother benedik has been radicalised, much to my dismay. i avoid the slytherin common room like the plague. viola does as well; she most stays at the hufflepuff common room with her friend pandora fawley. i can typically be seen in the library, trying to find a good book, or taking photos at hogsmeade. i actually do a small side gig of taking photos, which is actually pretty profitable. not everyone can work a magicam, after all. oh, and i'm often caught bickering with sirius black, who has made it his life's mission to try and win my affections.
ᯓ✦ padfoot
sirius cygnus black III has been my admirer since day one, much to my confusion and occasional irritation. what's there to say about him? he's the hogwarts dream boat. tall, dark, handsome. or at least, he would be, if he actually bothered to get into any romantic relationships. nope, he only has two loves; freedom and..me, for some reason. the story he tells is that he saw me in a dream, the night before his first day. i was his ideal girl; pretty, smart, funny and kind. he thought it was just a dream..until he saw me in the flesh, in the hogwarts express. ever since then, his eyes have been set on me. if you thought that james potter and lily evans were bad, with james' totally obvious heart eyes that evans is completely oblivious to, you have not seen me and sirius interact. ever. he makes it business to open my doors, give me flowers, confess his undying love and propose marriage. is his affection true? i'm pretty sure it is. but i'm still somewhat scared..what if he doesn't like me, really? what if i'm just another way for him to rebel against his stuck-up pureblood family? and anyways, he's so immature. always pushing the slytherins around (even death eater wannabes like rabastan lestrange, arthur mulciber or severus snape don't deserve to be hexed) and pulling pranks. but, i can't help but care for him. worry about him. love him. could i be with him? i'm not sure. for now, the status quo is comfortable. for the most part.

Sweet Pea- Grease Is The Word
You’re The The One That I Want
“Guys I have to leave in a bit” I say looking at the clock in Pops diner
“Oh come on YN you can’t leave yet” Fangs says holing Kevin’s hand
“She’s going cuz Sweet Pea ain’t here” Cheryl says
“No I’m not. I didn’t come here to see him”
“What you come for then?” Cheryl frowns
“I came because I was invited” I reply crossing my arms
“Cher I invited her” Toni says to her girlfriend
“I don’t know why. Isn’t Sweet Pea supposed to be like your best friend”
“Yeah but I like YN”
“Oh you do?”
“Jesus Cheryl what’s gotten into you this evening?” Betty asks
“Nothing”
“I think I’m just gonna go” I say standing up from the booth. As I do I see Sweet Pea walking into the diner “yeah definitely going to go”
“YN!” He says as I walk passed him and out the shop. What the hell do I do? I think as I make my way home. Yes I want to be with Sweet Pea, but we’re just 2 different kind of people.
That night all I can think of is how I’m, well me. Making my decision I phone up Cheryl and head over to her house the following morning
“So you want the boy” she says with her hands on her hips “let’s get started. Toni hand me a brush and my curlers we’ve got a lot of work to do”
“Hey!” I pout making Toni chuckle
“Cheryl takes fashion very seriously. So clothes wise what do you want to wear?”
“I wanna wear a Serpent’s Jacket” this stops them in their tracks. Toni and Cheryl look at each other then at me
“You’ll have to go through initiation”
“Which is?” I ask looking at Toni
“You can either choose the Serpant dance which is basically a strip tease or….”
“I’ll do it”
“No wait YN. You have to do it at the Whyte Wyrm” Toni looks at me worriedly “it will be in front of men 3 times our age”
“Wait” Cheryl says with a twinkle in her eye “does it have to be, or can it just be in front of us, Veronica Betty, Kevin and Fangs?”
“Well I guess there’s no rule against that”
“Then let’s do it!”
“Well if your sure”
“I am” I eagerly nod my head
“Let’s get you ready”.
“Hey Sweet Pea!” Toni shouts as she makes her way towards the boys at the fair. I’m hidden behind Kevin, Betty and Veronica “we’ve got a surprise for you” I then walk to the front where a shocked Sweet Pea looks me up and down
“YN? What… how? You look…”
“I know”
“Toni let you borrow her jacket?”
“Nope it’s mine. I did the dance”
“You… Toni you let her…”
“No not at the Wyrm. She did it in front of us”
“So your a Serpent now?”
“That’s is if you want me”
“Hell yeah I do” Sweet Pea then lifts me up and kisses my lips before putting me back down “will you be mine?”
“Yeah course” this time I’m the one to initiate the kiss
“Finally!” Fangs groans making everyone laugh.

Sweet Pea x Fem OC
pt 5
archie andrews twin sister, delilah, is fed up with him being overprotective. so when a cute serpent offers her an opportunity, she can't turn it down
"hey, what've you been up to?" sweet pea pulled her aside at lunch.
"not much, why?" she said, taking a bite.
"you haven't been answering my texts," he waved his phone in her face.
"sorry, it's been a busy weekend. i had a sleepover with cheryl and her grandma fell down the stairs in the middle of the night, and my moms back in town. plus veronica and archie are making me help them with junior class president, so i haven't been on my phone much," she said in between bites of food.
"your mom though? that sounds fun, why's she back?" he asked.
"my dad has some legal issues with the lodges, i don't really get it. but she's a lawyer so she's helping him," she explained. "anyway, enough about me. what've you been doing?"
"jughead has a plan to save southside high from being destroyed so we've been planning for it, i guess," he shrugged.
"what kind of plan?"
"we're gonna chain ourselves to the school," he explained.
"for how long?"
"as long as we need to," he said.
"it's freezing," she blinked at him.
"guess i'll need something to keep me warm," he smiled.
"when is this happening?"
"tonight," he told her.
"i'll be there," she leaned forward and kissed his cheek.
"well, well, well. the cavalry's finally here," jughead said as archie arrived on his bike. "guess that means we've got hiram's attention."
"are you nuts?" archie scoffed. "chaining yourself to this place? getting my sister involved? they're gonna tear this place down in two days, dude."
"not unless hiram wants the blood of 8 young serpents on his hands," jughead said. "we're not going anywhere. go and tell your boss we said that."
archie rolled his eyes and walked over to delilah.
"come on," he grabbed her arm. "you're coming home."
"no," she ripped her arm away.
"delilah you're going to freeze out here," he yelled. "this isn't your battle to fight. now come on."
"she made her choice, dude," sweet pea chimed in.
"shut the hell up. and shame on you for roping her into this. i was starting to think you might actually be decent after that trip to shadow lake, but not anymore," he spat.
"as if i care what you think of me," sweet pea replied.
"whatever," archie spat before getting on his bike and riding off.
"you don't have to stay the whole night," sweet pea told her.
"well i can't exactly go home now so, i guess i will be," she smiled and sat down against the wall. he quickly took a seat next to her.
wrapped up in the blankets she had brought and sweet peas arms, she fell asleep much fast than she thought she would and was woken up by betty shaking her awake.
"archie told me you were here, and that you wouldn't listen to him. i have your bag if you want to go school today," betty said, holding out her bag.
delilah glanced at sweet pea who gestured for her to go. she grabbed her bag and stood up.
"i'll be back as soon as i can, text me if archie shows back up," she kissed his cheek and caught up with betty.
"you're coming to veronica and josie's performance, right?" betty asked once they got to riverdale high.
"of course, i wouldn't miss it," she smiled and then made her way to class.
by the time the day was over, delilah was more than ready to go home but she knew she still had to go support veronica and betty. she slowly made her way to the student lounge and found a spot against the wall.
veronica and josie were singing when a paper was handed to her. confused, delilah looked down to see a picture of veronica with a devils tail and horns labeled "did you know?"
she scanned over the paper and read all sorts of things veronica had done for her parents. she saw veronica running after betty and delilah walked up to ethel and josie.
"can i have a few more of those?"
delilah ran all the way to southside high with the papers in her jacket.
"miss me?" sweet pea joked.
"duh," delilah managed to get out between gasps of air. "but also, i thought you might want to see these."
jughead took the paper from her and read the text front and center. "she knew they were turning south side high into a prison."
"does betty know?" jughead asked.
"she does now," delilah told him. "look, i have to go meet my mom, but i'll be back as soon as i can."
sweet pea nodded and gestured for her to go. she took off running again and sweet pea couldn't get his attention off of her.
"i was hoping to see jughead while i was in town," her mom remarked as they sat down for dinner.
"he's still at southside high, mom, chained up like a lunatic. with her boyfriend," archie scoffed. delilah rolled her eyes.
"arch, you may not believe in what he's fighting for," their dad started.
"i'm not sure he's fighting for anything, dad," archie said. "i think he's mostly fighting against mr lodge. like a lot of people in this town who are afraid."
"afraid?" delilah snapped. "afraid of a criminal buying half the land in our town to turn it into a prison? shocking."
"afraid of having a vision, of seeing what has to be done and doing it," he yelled back at her.
"what has to be done? why do you think there has to be a prison in riverdale?" she argued.
"because our dad was shot in a diner and a father shot his son, delilah" he spat.
"there are hundred off prisons in the world, archie. i personally don't want to live in a town with those kinds of criminals that close to me or my children. hiram lodge just wants to make more money," she slammed her fork down and stood up. "i also don't want to live in a place where the best hope is working at a prison."
she stormed upstairs and into her room. she could still hear her mom arguing with archie downstairs but she didn't care to listen. she was starting to grab a sweatshirt to put on so she could run back to southside high when her door opened.
her mom sat down on her bed and patted for delilah to sit down next to her.
"you've changed so much," she remarked. "the delilah i remember would've never yelled at archie like that. i'm so proud of you," she pulled her in for a hug. "it really made me realize how much i miss out on in chicago. like your first boyfriend."
delilah froze when she said that. she didn't need her family getting any closer to sweet pea.
"i was thinking maybe he could come over for dinner before i leave," her mom suggested.
"well, um, like archie said he's at southside high chained to it," delilah said awkwardly. "and it's really not that serious yet so i'm not sure."
"delilah, im only gonna be in town for a few days and im not sure when i'll be back. i want to at least meet him," her mom explained.
"i'll talk to him," she said.
"thank you," she kissed delilah's forehead. "goodnight sweetie."
"goodnight mom," she said.
delilah waited an hour for her parents to settle down before sneaking out her window. she ran back to southside high and saw sweet pea leaned against the wall, talking with his friends.
"lily!" a voice called from her left side. she didn't need to turn to know who it was. it was jugheads dad, he was the only person who ever called her that. "what are doing here?"
"just needed some fresh air," she walked closer to him.
"you shouldn't be out here at night," he told her. "it's not safe."
"you're here," she cocked her head.
"i'm an adult," he told her. "you better get back home andrews."
"wouldn't it be more unsafe for me to go back home than to stay here?"
"sit down," he huffed and waved her off.
delilah skipped over to the boys chained up and stood in front of sweet pea who felt a smile forming on his face.
"what are you doing here?" he asked.
"can't a girl visit her boyfriend?" she smiled back. "plus archie's being-"
"archie," he finished.
"yep," she rolled her eyes.
"talk to me," he pulled her into a hug.
"he's just still defending hiram lodges plan for the stupid prison," she huffed and leaned against him.
he ran his fingers through her hair and put his head on top of hers. he walked her closer to the school and sat down with her. she was between his legs and her head was on his chest.
under almost any other circumstance, delilah would've found it romantic. but she knew it wasn't.
she woke up in a fright the next morning. she was still m on top of sweet pea and she began scrambling. it woke him up and he sleepily grabbed her by her shoulders and tried to look at her but it was too dark to really see her.
"what?" he whispered.
"i have to get back home before my mom realizes i'm not there," she explained.
"it's still early, you'll be fine," he tried to reason with her because it couldn't be any later than 4.
"i just need to get home," she said.
"stay," he whispered.
"why?"
it was then that he realized what he had just said. he didn't have a reason for her to stay there. it wasn't like anyone was awake, and if they were they weren't going to tell archie she left him.
they continued to stare at each other as their eyes adjusted to the darkness.
"nevermind, go home," he said. she got up without another word and ran back home.
the very next morning she returned to southside high with betty to see a group had already formed. she pushed her way to the front to see sweet pea who acknowledged her only with a small nod. she smiled at him before turning back around to find betty.
the crowd quickly grew despite it being very early in the morning and they began chanting to save southside high.
the chants began to die down and delilah turned around to see archie with a pair of bolt cutters, the wrestling team following closely behind him.
she stepped in front of him.
"don't do this," she pleaded, he kept walking. she grabbed his arm but he pushed her off him.
"jugheads your best friend, i know you don't want to do this," she walked next to him. he continued to ignore her and pushed past the police barricades.
fp stepped up to archie when he got close enough. delilah couldn't hear what was being said but she knew it wasn't good. jughead pushed his father aside and started talking to archie.
he held his wrists up and after a few seconds archie cut the chains wrapped around them.
one by one delilah watched as the wrestling team cut the chains and shove the boys away from the school.
even after mostly everyone had left, delilah stayed, sitting on the sidewalk. betty took a seat next to her.
"i'm just so disappointed," delilah sighed.
"that it didn't work? because i think it definitely did help," betty said.
"no, in archie," she frowned. "jughead was archie's best friend. for years. he never would've done this but now that hiram lodge is in town he's acting all high and mighty. i'm not happy about it."
"i know what you're saying, i just hope he'll come around eventually," betty said. "but in the meantime, i think i know two boys who could use our company."
betty stood up and held her hands out for delilah.
"i don't think that's a good idea, i think sweet pea might want to be alone," she said frantically.
"nonsense, he'd definitely want to. now come on," she urged.
"i don't even know where he lives," she shrugged.
"we'll ask jughead when we get to the trailer park, i'm sure he knows," betty smiled. delilah grabbed betty's hands and stood up. they walked to sunnyside trailer park together and knocked on jugheads trailer.
"i was not expecting you," he looked confused at delilah.
"i wanted to apologize for archie, i know it doesn't mean much coming from me and not him but i still feel bad," delilah said and tried to walk away.
"oh!" betty grabbed her wrist. "she also wanted to know which trailer her boyfriend lives in."
"lemme walk you there, it's not too far. just confusing," jughead offered. they weaved through trailers and after a few minutes stopped in front of sweet peas. "there you are," jug patted her back and walked away.
delilah debated whether she should actually go in or not but decided she would. she slowly walked up to the door and knocked. the door opened almost immediately and he looked at her weirdly.
"why are you here?" he whispered, looking around.
"betty thought i should come see you, and she was coming to see jughead, and she wouldn't take no for an answer, and-" she said but he pulled her inside before she could say anything else.
"it's fine," he said. delilah looked around his trailer, it was small and it only had one bed.
"i know it's not what you're used to, but it's what i've got," he shrugged. delilah nodded and turned her attention back to him.
"it's great," she reassured him. "so how are you feeling?" she asked after an awkward silence.
"im fine, my shoulders just hurt from those chains," he said, walking back to his bed.
"i've been told i'm pretty good at giving massages," she shrugged. he chuckled at her before he felt her hands starting to take his shirt off.
"you don't have to," he grabbed her wrists but she kept moving his shirt up. he gave in and helped her take his shirt off.
"hop up," she patted his bed and he slowly climbed on to his bed. she hopped up after him and straddled his lower back.
she started massaging his shoulders, trying her best to ignore the way he was groaning underneath her. at some point she figured he must've passed out because the trailer was filled with silence. she was zoned out massaging his back when suddenly his hands gripped her thighs and she was snapped out of it.
"your turn," he said groggily, turning his neck as far as he could to look at her.
"no no no, i don't need it," she protested. he turned his hips to roll over and she fell off of him.
"i see the way you sit in class, you do," he said, beginning to pull her sweater off. she grabbed his wrists and stared at him.
"it's okay, it's just me," he said, continuing to pull up on her top. he slid it over her head and tossed it to the side. he grabbed her by her hips and placed her face down in front of him.
delilah had never felt more vulnerable with sweet pea straddling her thighs. she felt his hands unclasping her bra and her hands shot back to stop him.
"what're you doing?" she asked.
"it's in the way. you're facing down, it's not like i'll see anything," he explained. delilah sighed and let him continue. he slid the straps off her arms and pulled it out from under her, tossing it with the rest of their clothes.
he ran his hands up her sides, trying to push down all the thoughts in his head. delilah felt like she couldn't breathe, nobody had ever seen this much of her and here she was letting a boy she wasn't even really dating touch every inch of her back. she tried telling herself it was just a massage, that it wasn't anything inappropriate, but it wasn't easing her at all.
as he started working, delilah found her eyes growing heavy.
she woke up to a loud bang at the door. before she could even process it, the door was opened and she heard a voice.
"dude, i've been texting you-" fangs started before looking at the two in bed.
neither of them had a shirt on, and though the sheets covered their lower half, fangs assumed they didn't have pants on either. delilah was face down, sweet pea had both his arms wrapped around her waist laying next to her.
delilah began to push herself up before realizing she had nothing on and quickly turned away from fangs, only to be pressed against sweet peas chest, his arms still wrapped around her waist.
"is this a bad time?" fangs joked. sweet pea nodded and he slowly left the trailer.
delilah's cheeks were flushed red from embarrassment. she was still pressed tight against sweet pea, too scared to pull away from him.
"where's my bra?" she whispered in his ear. he looked around the bed for a second before answering .
"the floor," he told her. she sighed and buried her head further into him.
"can you get it?"
"it'd be more fun watching you get it," he teased.
"please," she pulled away from him and looked into his eyes.
he tried his hardest not to let his eyes wander.
"okay," he whispered. he removed his hands from her and climbed out of bed, grabbing her bra and sweater from the ground and placing it next to her.
once she was fully dressed again, she turned around to face him again.
"i should, um, be getting home," she stammered, still slightly flustered.
"can i walk you home?" he asked.
"no, it's okay. i'll be fine," she said heading for the door. "i'll see you at school."
she was out the door before he could say anything else.

alright FINE riverdale characters as played by muppets. since everyone is asking me
gonzo as jughead: jughead is a big case of "actor ruins the character" for me, this would solve all my problems. just all around a much more lovable weirdo. and hed look good in the hat
kermit as betty: now youd think it was kermit as archie, because they are both leading men trying to hold it down in a chaotic environment. but i would argue that betty is a more dynamic character with more agency, which i like better for kermie. archie really feels more reactive to me, thats why i want
one of the chickens as archie: well i just think it would be funny if archie was one of the chickens.
miss piggy as veronica: this ones just left of obvious. the OBVIOUS piggy choice is cheryl, i dont need to explain that. but i want piggy to stretch out a little, and i think the steely mob princess/businesswoman plotlines would be a welcome challenge for her. and of course, we've still got fabulous wardrobe and one-liners to play to her strengths.
rizzo as cheryl: it is TIME for rizzo the rat to SERVE CUNT.
janice as jugheads hot dad: i think her laid-back energy would be interesting in a king-of-the-bikers kind of role. not sure if she'll be able to summon the authority necessary to make us believe it, but i want to believe in her.
just fully replace kevin with statler and waldorf: they will pack roughly 50 times the gay energy into the same space he occupied.
dr. teeth as betty's mom: dr. teeth being in a nominal position of authority over kermit would be fun. and he could really chew some scenery
swedish chef as cheryl's mom: i think he'd really take it to a sort of 60s psychobiddy place with the right direction
pepe as veronica's dad: i shouldnt have to explain this one
#riverdale#the muppets#halfway thru this i started talking abt the muppets as if they were real actors with well-known#strengths and weaknesses. this is an example of the muppet effect
