“I caught a sparkle of light in your eyes that day, I bathed in it. I was transported to heavens gates by it, but I fall at my feet. My words shall only be composed, I can’t speak. My inner voice calling my outer self weak, admiring from afar secretly.” Was the letter you write to crybaby. You signed it with your initials and put it in a cute little pink envelope and licked it to seal it tight. You got out class a couple of minutes early, telling your teacher that you don’t feel good and need to use the restroom. So before the bell rang, you quickly ran over to crybaby’s locker and slipped the note inside.

The bell rang and everyone rushed out and went to their lockers. You went away but stayed close enough to see if crybaby will read it. Crybaby and her friends went over to their lockers and they started talking about how they are going to get out of this school. You heard crybaby open her locker and it was quiet for a minute until one of her friends gained her attention back. “Yeah I’m listening.” She said and it went quiet again until one of her other friends asked her what that was in her hand and crybaby said “it’s a love letter!” She squealed happily and you felt your heart melt at the sound. “A love letter from who?” Her friend said excitedly. “I don’t know! All they left was their initial!” She said and everyone came around to look at it.

“Y/n (your initial)? Oh! It’s y/n! I have a few classes with her and she’s very shy but really nice!” Magnolia said happily and crybaby felt her cheeks heat up at the mention of your name. You heard them talk about you and some plan then you scurried off to your next class not knowing what crybaby was planning next. It was your last class of the day and you went to your locker to put all your stuff away, that was until you saw a note fly out of your locker when you pulled it open. You bent down and opened the letter revealing that crybaby wants to meet up with you after school. You blushed wildly and put the note in your pocket and ran to the courtyard where she mentioned she wanted to meet you at.

You ran outside and found crybaby sitting on a bench looking around for you and when she spotted you, a huge grin appeared on both of y’all’s faces and you shyly walked over to you and sat down beside her. “H-hi…” you quietly said and crybaby giggles at your shyness. “Hi! Thank you for the note. It was so cute and sweet!” She gushed and looked at you with adoration. You blushed and started playing with your fingers nervously. “Y-you’re welcome…e-ever since you c-came on the bus…I’ve been m-mesmerized by y-you but was t-too s-shy to really say anything u-until I put that love letter I-into your l-locker.” You stuttered and crybaby gave you a reassuring smile and grabbed both of your hands gently so you wouldn’t keep picking at your fingers since that’s what you started doing. “Well I’m glad you said something now. Would you like to be apart of our plan to get out of here and would you like to be my date to the dance?” She asked and your eyes widened.

“Yes!” You shouted happily and she giggled happily along with you. “I have to go back to the girls but I’ll see you tomorrow y/n!” She said and leaned over to place a loving peck on your cheek. Your face got redder than ever and crybaby giggled at that as she skipped away back inside the school to see her friends while you stayed on the bench for a bit trying to process everything that just happened. You are getting out of this hellhole AND you have a date to the dance with your crush!

Who would have thought that the man who was once adamant that the past had to die—violently, if necessary—would turn out to be so fussy about tradition? 

Some of them puzzle Rey. Such as his insistence on chronicling their travels using ink and parchment. No matter how much she points out how much simpler it would be on a data pad, he merely smiles at her and goes back to his antiquated tools.  In another, kinder life, Ben might have been a scholar, with his ink-stained fingers and brow.

Some of them she adores—like his habit of braiding her hair each morning. Although he has taught her the different styles and their meanings, she enjoys it purely for the feel of his hands in her hair every morning. It is soothing, a sense of belonging. 

(Of course, it often becomes a prelude for his hands, and eventually his lips, to find purchase elsewhere on her body, until her sweat-slicked skin is pressed to his and they tumble into their bed.

Or to the floor.

Or the cockpit.

Or against the nearest wall.)

He has lots of little habits—from the scientific precision and ceremony of his tea making, to only drinking from a cup or mug held in his right hand—all of which he maintains aretradition. 

Tradition or quirks, Rey doesn’t really mind; for all of them are so fundamentally Ben.

The Werewolf of Chandrilla Primary

(G, one shot, 2.7 k words)

Speechless indeed are the pupils of Miss Holdo's primary one class when Ben Solo walks into their Hallowe'en party, unrecognisable beneath layers of latex, fake fur and costume make-up, including fangs dripping with fake blood. Their silence lasts about thirty seconds, before Snap bursts into tears, and the other children erupt into whispers.

Miss Holdo shuffles Snap to the corner, and Ben feels his heart sink. Perhaps the fake blood had been a touch over the top…

Ben had been so proud of his costume earlier, his chest puffed out like a peacock as they had walked to school. He had even allowed Chewie to take dozens of photos, which he had promised would hold pride of place on his workshop walls. This was going to be the best Hallowe'en ever. 

But now, as the other children whisper and recoil from him (with even Poe and Hux look green around the gills), Ben wishes he'd let Chewie buy the pumpkin costume after all.

He retreats to the corner and tries not to cry.

FWIW, none of the pictured shows have reading (love of reading OR science of reading) as a core learning objective, like the kind that they would get notes from PBS to include specific standards-aligned content on--only one I can bring to mind that gets close is actually one you slightly cut off (and Sesame Street, completely absent from screenshot):

Alma's Way is critical thinking

Arthur (which is no longer airing new episodes) is kind of a pro-social mishmosh. It's based on a book series but doesn't feature reading as a core curricular goal.

The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot about That (canceled awhile back, IIRC) has more to do with STEM and critical thinking. (Based on a book, reading not core objective)

Clifford IIRC is pro-social. (Book based, reading not core objective)

Curious George (ended) is scientific thinking (Book based, reading not core objective)

Cyberchase is The Math Show (with science sprinkled in more on later seasons)

Daniel Tiger is pro-social.

Design Squad (all versions, all of which are ended IIRC) is STEM (engineering, usually) for around 12 year olds.

Dinosaur Train (ended) is pro-social woven with some dinosaur facts

Donkey Hodie is pro-social, IIRC.

Molly of Denali (cut off in the picture) does feature information literacy as a core objective, which usually takes the form of "oh, we can look in the index to find where in a book to find info quickly" or "not everything on the internet is true" or "if I compile this information, other people will be able to refer to it later", that kind of thing. It's the first cartoon to feature an Alaskan Native protagonist so aspects of Alaska Native cultures and history also prominently feature.

(Most of these (if it's not their core conceit) also have pro-social aspects like apologizing when you hurt someone, solving conflict, that kind of thing)

What OP is referring to is a real thing that did start occurring around when the US DOE changed its focus in regards to the best way to teach kids to read. Stuff like Reading Rainbow, Wishbone, and BtL were mostly love-of-reading focused, i.e. more like "here's a story, kids, ain't it cool?" (though BtL featured quite a lot of science of reading type instruction, i.e. teaching certain letter sounds, language rules, etc.).

At some point it became easier to get funding for shows that were far more science-of-reading focused, like WordWorld or 2009 Electric Company. Some of these tried to be like "reading is cool and fun" but they didn't really seem to garner the same interest or longevity as the older shows. (WordWorld lasted 3 years, Electric Company 5.) WordGirl was a little more focused on vocabulary (and for slightly older kids) and stayed on a bit longer (and with a bigger following), from 2007 to 2015 (8 years).

There are currently no PBS Kids shows that are still in production (other than some aspects of Sesame Street, which does... a lot of things) that specifically focus on foundational reading (either love-of-reading or rules of reading). They have reran things like WordWorld or WordGirl on their 24 hour channel, but there's not really anything more recent.

This is a little of a side thing, but: If I try to search by concept for foundational reading aimed at K-2 on PBS Learning Media (a site for teachers), most of the content is from lower production value stuff that's not aired on TV (or even on the PBS Kids app, AFAICT) or it's from a show that's over, like BtL or Electric Company. (If I search for preschool ELA specifically I do get some Sesame Street relatively early but it also gives me the non-TV stuff (though more of it is "let's read a story" focused than the K-2 search was).)

By comparison, K-2 math and science favor the same not-for-TV content package but show TV series connected content (and more recent shows at that) sooner in the results. (Engineering in particular causes Lyla in the Loop to DOMINATE the K-2 results.)

There is apparently a literacy series in the pipeline but no announced air date, though.

TL;DR: No PBS Kids shows hate reading or anything, but shows that explicitly teach it are largely absent from the schedule. There's one known series soon to come, maybe, but the specific kind of show OP refers to is noticeably absent from current PBS Kids fare.

Photos lie. Usually, they show one happy second. Sometimes it's a split second where a whole family is smiling despite the misery of having to be together.

But the ones littering the hallway of the Reids' townhouse weren't lying. Their smiles and bright eyes showed the beautiful memories they all shared.

And Y/n's attention always drifted to one special one, her favorite one. It was the five of them in The Bahamas, Spencer's first international trip since Mexico. It was real. Those wide smiles were real for two whole weeks.

It was the best hotel Spencer could find, not wanting to compromise for his family more than he already had. There was going to be no more of what he perceived as selfishness when he went to prison.

Y/n never saw it as selfishness, she saw Mexico for what it was: Spencer being the best son in the world. But that didn't mean it didn't change absolutely everything.

Florence hadn't understood any of it. At 1 and a half, she only understood day, night, and daycare. She still babbled about where Daddy was, cried continuously when she couldn't see him, and reached out for him in the photos lining the walls.

Bennett had comprehended more of it. He knew something about Spencer being away for so long was wrong. The then-4-year-old couldn't understand why Daddy couldn't come to his soccer games and pick him up from Pre-K. He didn't know why the book they read together stayed on his bedside table or why his mom couldn't hold it open while his dad read it from somewhere across the country.

Madelaine, unfortunately, had a firmer grasp on the concept of time and had understood that her dad was gone for a lot longer than he usually was. Y/n avoided telling the truth. She wasn't going to break such harsh news to a 6-year-old, but Maddie understood something much worse was wrong, and the little girl was determined to pour her whole heart into each artwork that she sent him.

Y/n found a way to make things better. It was overcompensating on her part, definitely, so much overcompensating all three of her children had new toys, books, clothing, and the occasional day off school.

She struggled the most. She knew she had to, but the impossibly bad situation caused so much pain. Emily's number was on her speed dial and they talked every night, even if the BAU was working on a case with zero sleep or Emily was meant to be out on a date. All she was focused on was getting Spencer out of prison, getting Y/n through him being gone, and putting their lives back on track.

The whole team rallied around the Reids. Rossi, or Krystall if he was away, had them over for dinner every Friday night. JJ was at every soccer game of Maddie and Ben, and they had brunch with her and the Lamontagne boys every Sunday. Morgan picked them up from school some days, so they could hang out with their cousin Hank. Tara hung out lots when she wasn't on cases with the team, spending as much time with the kids as she could. Luke saw them all the time, going to the park with them where they could play on the playground or with Roxy while he and Y/n talked. Penelope was there every day she could be, nothing but smiles and positivity for the kids and emotional support for every break-down Y/n had.

The Bahamas were because of Mexico, the make-up trip to end all of the guilt Spencer had. It was 12 special days in the sunshine with the four people he loved most in the world. He couldn't even hate the beach when they were all there, swimming in the ocean, eating fruit, and spending every moment together. It might have been some people's nightmare, but it was exactly what he dreamed of every night in that horrible place. Whenever the kids went to the kids club, it was just the two of them, like it was when they went on vacations while Y/n was still at the BAU.

Three little Reid kids with tanner skin laying against the white bedsheets, exhausted after each day in the sun, made both Y/n and Spencer's hearts warm. This was what they worked so hard for.

They talked every evening, more words than they had in the months before that, and when there was no more talking, there was cuddling. They had sex, too, so much sex. Like they were making up for all the missed time. There was none of the quick, stress-relieving fucks he had needed months before. Every time he touched her it was so full of adoration and appreciation that she thought it was never going to end.

But it did.

Slowly, all of it faded away, and they were left with the pretty wooden frames, matching the rest of their decor, displaying the moments of joy in the hall.

"Reminiscing?" Spencer's question broke her out of the little happy bubble she was trying to keep herself in.

It was easier to remember the joy in those photos when she didn't have to look at his face. That tired expression should have made her break, but it didn't anymore. Even looking at him, she didn't feel anything but empty. There was no more anger, love, or hurt. There was just hollowness. It wasn't even really Spencer anymore. Just the face of someone she had built a life with. Beautiful, but only externally.

"Something like that." She replied, shrugging but trying not to come off as too hostile. What she didn't need tonight was another argument.

It was an odd question for him to even ask, and she couldn't figure out what possibly would cause him to break the barrier of their current silent agreement to co-exist without speaking to each other.

Their usual greetings of kisses, hugs, and sharing anecdotes from their days had been traded for the silence that dragged two deeply unhappy people who fell out of love with each other in.

As she put her things on her home desk, she could feel Spencer's eyes on her, and it annoyed her more than it should have. Holding it together was becoming more and more difficult, and Y/n ran her hand through her hair in an attempt not to snap at him as she walked down further down the hall and towards the kitchen.

"What are you doing here?" She asked before she could stop herself, opening the fridge to find something to eat. After hours of being at work- all of them to avoid Spencer- she was starving.

It really didn't make any sense for him to be there. Not when they were only putting on an act while the kids were awake. But there he sat: on the stool at the kitchen island. So far away from her but right in front of her.

Spencer scoffed, looking up from his phone which he usually never used. "I live here."

"Not really, though." She countered, raising her eyebrows like it was an attempt for him to challenge her.

"This?" He asked. "Are we really going to do this?" His frustration was coming out at the fact they had this conversation almost every time they saw each without the kids there. The exchange of snide remarks was exhausting.

Y/n didn't know how many more times she could explain it in a way he might understand. "No." She was too tired to try. There wasn't even any point in trying.

"Good." He agreed, irritating her even more, but he couldn't stop. "Because I do live here."

She should have known, the decade ago they got into a relationship, that Spencer's stubbornness would be their downfall. "Well, maybe you shouldn't." She firmly stated, turning the tap on and filling up a glass of water.

The rest of the bench was messy. The rest of the house was messy, actually. It was hard not to be with three young kids, barely-there Spencer, and less-and-less-there Y/n. There were books, homework projects, coloring pencils, stuffed toys, part of a train set, and two hoodies just in her eye line. The chaos was her and the kids, but it wasn't Spencer.

"Is that what you want?" He asked, and her eyes drifted back to him. It was such a simple way of asking a question that would change their lives.

When they got married, she couldn't imagine they would ever be here. Back then, she would have screamed and cried at the pain of her heart breaking, but today she couldn't feel anything but indifference.

And she didn't hesitate with her answer, not taking a moment to look into his eyes and remember when she used to love him more than anything else. "Yes." Her fingers didn't even tighten around the glass as she set it down on the countertop and her heart didn't crack like she thought it would. When she looked up at him, there was no change in his eyes, although, he was too good at hiding it for her to notice if there was. "What do you think?"

"You usually don't care about what I feel." Spencer shot back, holding eye contact with her like he had been challenged.

"Seriously?" She asked dryly, throwing her arms up in the air. "I just asked you what you think. Whether I care or not doesn't matter, just answer the question." He rolled his eyes, earning a degree of rage in her that no one else could. "Fine. Don't answer because I don't really care."

"Mm, sure." He replied sarcastically, not believing what she was telling him.

It was the truth, and the fact he didn't accept it infuriated her. Even though he was asking her to explain exactly how much she didn't care about him, she was determined to take the high road. "God, you're insufferable." She huffed.

"Real mature." He huffed back.

"It is not my fault you can never tell me what you think." She replied, throwing her arms up in the air to show him her frustration. "I cannot keep tolerating your attitude." It was like she was trying to stop Florence from screaming when she wanted ice cream for breakfast. Dealing with her husband took more patience than dealing with their three-year-old.

He screwed up his nose. They'd been here before far too many times. Too many times for it to continue. "You don't deal with it. You come home, avoid talking to me, and act like nothing fucking happened!"

That made her snap, eyes darkening further. Her grip against the kitchen countertop was so strong it was turning her knuckles white. "Something did fucking happen, though, didn't it!?" She yelled back, feeling the tears prick just at the memory. The anger was all-consuming, and it wasn't close to going away. "I'm only pretending for them." Their three perfect children, who didn't know a fraction of the things their parents were feeling. That was how it was supposed to be, but Y/n could only keep up their appearances for so long. "You would have been gone as soon as you got back from LA if it weren't for them."

"Oh, and I'm so grateful that I have to stay here." He complained sarcastically, a pout accentuating the pink of his lips.

She took a moment to breathe, not wanting to scream at him for his ungratefulness. There was something so wrong about the fact he couldn't see how much she did for their family and a lot more for their marriage. "Do you want to stay here? So I can scream at you once they're all at school for what happened in LA?" She demanded.

"It's not a big de-"

That was the one thing he hadn't gone as far as to say. Before tonight, he knew it was too much.

"Shut the fuck up!" Y/n ordered, standing her ground in the kitchen. It was remarkable how far they'd fallen in just a few months. "How would you feel if Derek suddenly declared he was in love with me?" Her voice cracked quietly enough for him not to notice, and she held blinked back hot tears in her eyes.

"That's not the same!" Spencer shouted back. There was something possessive in his tone while he refused to answer the question.

She clenched her fists in her hand, resisting the urge to throw the glass across the room. "Yes, it is! She was my best friend, and you're supposed to be my husband. How can you be so goddamn dismissive of this?" There was so little air in the room that she felt like she was suffocating.

"She said it to save our lives! For you and Will and our kids!" He tried to reason, knowing she couldn't understand it when she hadn't been there. "What Will went through was worse, and he's fine. Why aren't you? LA didn't even change what was going on with us! You're just trying to pin it all on me." The hole he was digging himself into was deep, but he only doubled down with those few spiteful statements.

"Aren't you adult enough to admit it?" She asked, voice lowering again in a faux calm state. All she needed to do was get the conversation over and go to bed to cry.

Spencer huffed, running a hand through his messy curls and tugging out the ends like he always did when he was furious. "Fine. LA changed us. It was the final nail in the coffin. You can't get over it, so we're not going to be able to move on."

"Do you actually understand how much that shit hurt, Spencer?" She questioned, so much sadness present in her tone. For weeks she'd cried over the pain of the betrayal and Spencer's ruthless attitude about it. There had been none of the comforts she was used to with him, the comfort that defined him. "You like facts, so think about this; I came to the team when JJ left, we started our relationship when she fucked you over with Emily, and we got engaged after she got married. It's always been about me compared to her, I just haven't seen it until now."

"You're trying to make it about me and her, and it's not!" He yelled, pushing more of his curls back. "This is about the problems we have had for months. Since prison. You never forgave me for that, and you never will which is why there is no point in continuing this."

With shaking fingers, she took her wedding and engagement ring off, sliding them across the bench to him. Why she had been wearing it for so long, she didn't know. Maybe the memories of all the years between them stopped her from giving up.

This was their end.

"I agree." She nodded. "But you should be giving me a lot more credit for everything I had to do after your poor decisions."

He wasn't ready to defend that to her, not when he was so furious and the grief was still eating him alive. "I'm done." Spencer declared, getting up from his seat. The rings lay abandoned on the cold marble countertop.

Y/n hadn't noticed the suitcase he had sitting by the door, but it was like he was waiting to pick this fight so he could finally be finished with their family.

She didn't want everything between them to always be so difficult and toxic. Fights shouldn't end in sex before sleeping in different bedrooms or days of silence. It was never ever meant to be like this. They were meant to be communicating like they vowed to do.

Not once did she think about stopping him before he went out the front door because it wasn't a movie, it was real life, and it sucked. And Spencer sucked, and all the love she used to feel for him was quickly turning to hatred.

Even once the door locked, her mouth stayed wide open at the shock of it all. Somehow, it was shocking and expected, but it left her with an emptiness inside her.

The loud anger didn't give her the opportunity to feel anything else about the situation. Y/n was mad at him, she knew that, but over the noise, she couldn't determine if she was scared, upset, or relieved.

She just felt empty.

The tears started streaming down her cheeks before she was consciously crying, no doubt leaving a track of black mascara. But she did what she had conditioned herself to do- what Spencer had forced her to learn to do,- wiped them up and tidied up some of the mess in the house before going to bed and trying to sleep.

Thoughts I had while watching The Attack of Clones. Star Wars - Episode II

1) Hayden Christensen is hot. Like woah homeboy.

2) Why does he enunciatie so much though?

3) Look at the banter Obi-Wan and Anakin share. No wonder Obi-Wan gave up this identity and took on the name of Ben.

4) I mean there is no Obi-Wan Kenobi without Anakin Skywalker - is there?

5) Anakin - your crush on Padme is obvious. Tone it down.

6) Stop focusing on Dooku - the real Sith Lord is Palpatine. I mean why did the filmmakers had to make it so obvious.

7) Master Yoda - by pushing Anakin away and trusting him and giving him the respect he deserves as a Jedi you are not doing any favours to the universe.

8) Honesty - you are creating the mess. He is as responsible for making Darth Vader as Senator "we look forward to your future" Palpatine.

9) Padme and Anakin K-I-S-S-I-N-G.

10) Gotta say Anakain's argument about love and attachment is solid.

11) Also gotta say while he understands it verbally - he doesn't emotionally.

12) Nooo is his mom really in danger or is senator Palpatine manipulating him?

14) This is the first time anakin used the dark side of the force. I am sad.

15) I mean yeah he did show hunger for power since childhood - which has further strenghtehed with him wanting to be best Jedi master in the world - even if to protect loved ones. It's still his way to seek power and control.

16) Not to forget his take - agreeing-on dictatorship during their date.

17) I think its absurd him agreeing to dictatorship considering his history. And it doesn't even sit with his need for power because he said "not me- someone else"

18) though you can guess that he does see himself capable but hates the process of politics - or what we call democracy.

19) In conclusion - I think its Palpatine whos speaking. And why did he seek Palpatine'as company. Because he gave a listening ear to him. Because the Jedi Council were shitty to him. I bet he didn't enjoy being consistently being viewed as a suspicious.

20) Honestly - anakin, padme and obi-Wan deserved better.

What fanfic was the world writing in 2020?

Welcome to a special Year In Review edition of the AO3 Ship Stats!

This list shows the 100 pairing tags which had the greatest gain in total fanworks posted on Archive Of Our Own during the period 3 Jan 2020 - 2 Jan 2021. There are 69 M/M pairings, 15 F/M, 3 F/F, 11 Gen and 2 Other. (Please note that on AO3, ‘Name & Name’ with an ampersand indicates platonic or familial ‘Gen’ relationships, while ‘Name/Name’ with a slash is used for romantic and sexual pairings.)

Of the 200 names on the list, 22 belong to women and 2 to characters of indeterminate gender, down from 23 and 3 in the last comparable list. There are 16 Characters of Colour from Western media and 88 from Asian media, as well as 7 characters of ambiguous race. In total, 54 of the pairings are from Western media, putting the rate of POC representation for Western media fandom at 14.8%, up from 12.9% on the main 2020 list.

1. Your child asks for beans. You make her beans.

4. Your child asks for beans. You tell her to make herself beans. She brings you the can-opener, confused. You show her how to use the can-opener, and supervise her as she uses the stove.

(She learns achievement, and how to ask for help.)

5. Your child asks for beans. You tell her to make herself beans. She brings you the can-opener, confused. You encourage her to figure it out for herself. When she becomes upset, you give her a few hints. She burns herself a little using the stove, and you care for the wound. She eats beans she made herself.

Hello! I moved from my old blog, @dianethus​ to here, you can probably call this a re-intro!

I’ve been trying to write since I was around 12 years old with silly little k-pop and percy jackson fanfics. Even though I cringe now whenever I think about the things I wrote, I still believe it was a necessary phase that all writers have to go through to become better.

I mainly write for the #OwnVoice movement that focuses on the South East Asian experience and especially the experience of being queer in an Asian environment. I aim to give the queers of Asian history whose stories never got to be told a voice. I write to expose the world to Philippine Mythology and the stories passed down from ancestor to ancestor. I also aim to conjure up nostalgic imagery in the readers' minds.

Song Fic. Most of my titles are actually song lyrics or my basic outlines follow the structure of a song.

Somewhere In Limasawa Street is a queer historical fiction story set in 1898 when the Philippine-American war is just beyond the horizons and 19 year old mestiza, Lucena Candella is in the middle of a war with herself. Sheltered and painfully aloof, she meets brave but brash, Urduja Kalangitan, who is as emotionally aware as a rock and who happens to be the Revolutionary Army's best gunman—maybe that's what pulled quiet Lucena to her.

Between paper planes, porcelains, and battle scars, Lucena slowly learns to love, and that scared her. It scared her because she wasn't allowed to love that woman with the scarred smile and wild hair.

This is my main WIP and my passion project. I really wanted to write something that I can dedicate to the queers of history, the indigenous and people of color whose queerness is never told.

The title is a reference to Limasawa Street by folk pop band, Ben&Ben, I actually used the album and a few singles as inspiration for the plot.

The Devil’s Choir is a low fantasy story following the adventures of seven unlikely friends who just want to go apeshit and run away from their shitty town. That is until they’re thrown into a you-need-to-save-the-whole-world mess without their written consent. Lucifer and Dionysus show up at their door step, dragging them head first into an abyss that even the Gods refuse to fall into. A war between the golden age and the future, it’s now up to this peculiar gang to save the world from the real threat.

The seven deadly sins but make them moody teenagers. this story has gone through so much revising for years! Found family, enemies to lovers, and unwilling heroes? check.

Unintentionally a copy of American Gods. It was too late until I realized the plot was kind of similar to American Gods. Help.

Manila Encounters is a paranormal urban fantasy story unfolding right in the pearl of the orient seas. When the clock strikes 3 AM and the lights of the skyscrapers turn dark—when the city sleeps, the monsters roam free. Deep between the alley ways of Manila city, look out for kids with a certain glow and bite behind their smiles. Look for the ones with sunkissed tans who speak in tongues. Look for the ones whose feet barely dip into murky bay waters and fingertips grazing moonlight. 

A dummy’s guide to Filipino folklore. Manila Encounters was inspired by a hashtag on Twitter of the same name where people wrote their own twist to Filipino urban legends and folk stories.

Oh great, another Percy Jackson rip-off. the main characters are demi-gods or descendants of Gods. Original, I know.

And I Love her is a queer romance story about a girl who just recently moved into an old but well maintained cottage in some seaside town in Europe—and she finds in the middle of dusty furniture and underneath cobwebs, a rotary telephone sitting there unused for decades. It rings unexpectedly one day and what greets her is a soft voice belonging to someone who lived 60 years ago.

Ha valaki meglátja őt, mindig a barna haját figyeli meg, ami megjegyzem néha kócos, néha nem és kalapot hord amikor megteheti. Ebből bármilyen fajta jöhet, nyári téli egyaránt az évszaknak megfelelően. Általában igyekszik a barna szemszínéhez illő ruhákat is venni a talár alá. Bizonyára ettől is tűnik ő olyan bajkeverő szerűnek. De valójában nem az! Eric hisz abban, hogy a külső nem minden és ezt próbálja elfogadtatni másokkal is, akik egy 176 cm magas és kissé izmosnak nevezhető mosolygós fiút látnak benne. Nem szeretne soha az életben kövér lenni. Valahogy, a saját kissé ovális formájú arcát nem tudja elképzelni ducin. Nem is akar soha kövér lenni, reméli, hogy nem is lesz az. Teste megőrzi ezt a jó tulajdonságát és nem hiszik el.   Belső Ismerkedés téren egy kicsikét visszafogott, nem mindenkivel áll szóba, amitől mások szemében sznob-nak tűnik. De valójában nem az, ő csak nehezen bízik meg a többi emberben. Azonban akiket a szívébe fogadott, azok mellett mindig kiáll. Féltékeny típus, ezt nehezen ismeri be, de ha az imádott lányt egy másik fiúval látja beszélgetni akkor magában mindig zsörtölődik, mert nem akarja bevallani az illetőnek az érzéseit. Tény, hogy mindig fejfájást okoz az illetőnek, de csak azért, hogy észrevegyék őt. Arról meg sajnos nem tehet, hogy ez néha nem éppen úgy sül el ahogyan azt szeretné.   Szeret: kalapok, Athalea, hegedülés, kviddics, csokibéka Nem szeret: savanyú ételek, unalmasság, kérkedés, citromlé, bűbájtan Előtörténet Láttam a szemein és az arcán azt az édeskés undort, amivel mindig nézni szokott rám. Persze, hogy megint felhergeltem őt, nem beszélhet azzal a másik fiúval ha én a közelében vagyok. Hogy is ne! Mindig ki kell találnom egy új beszólást, csak azért, hogy ő észrevegyen. Tudom, hogy ez nem valami menő, de nem én tehetek az ő vakságáról. Lehet, hogy rosszul teszek valamit, nem éppen így kellene udvarolni egy szintén Griffendéles lánynak, de nem add más lehetőséget. Ha így észre vesz oké, de ha meghúzódom és csendben hallgatok sosem fogja észrevenni, hogy létezem. Márpedig én létezem. Igazán észrevehetné a cselekedeteim hátsó szándékát, hogy mindezt nem az ő életének a megkeserítéséért teszem, hanem valami egészen más miatt. Valami más miatt, amitől úgy tűnik az ő világa mentes. Vak minden egyes gesztusomra, a múltkor is ki akartam valahogyan békülni vele, csokibékát vettem neki, de ő félreértelmezte. Mi az, hogy leakarom kenyerezni? Szó sincs erről, én csak megakarom győzni őt arról, hogy tudok igazán kedves és hűséges is lenni ahhoz akit szeretek. Persze konkrétan nem mondtam ki, hogy szeretem. Előbb ki kell nyitnia a szemét, hogy bevallhassam. Tudom, hogy a véleménye megváltozhat rólam, csak azt nem hogyan. Mondjuk, ha bevallanám, hogy mindent miért tettem. De nem. Szeretem nézni ahogyan a klubhelyiségben Hannah-val kuncog valamin. Igazán szép mosolya van, bár ha közvetlen mellette vagyok, ez a mosoly az arcára hervad és valamilyen édeskés undorrá változik. Nem érdekel, míg miattam morgolódik, addig tudom, hogy rám gondol. Athalea rám gondol és senki másra. Hiszen olyankor az összes haragja az irányomba fordul és ez tetszik. Ő dühösen is szép, annyira elragadó amikor veszekszik. Egyszer láttam őt aludni is, túl sokáig tanult és a klubhelyiségben lévő kanapén feküdt egészen reggelig, mivel éjjel nem ébredt fel. Akkor azt hiszem, igazán bántam, hogy betakartam őt a talárommal. Másnap azt vágta a fejemhez, hogy fogasnak nézem őt és ezért tettem rá. Persze ez nem így volt, én csak nem akartam, hogy megfázzon. Mert ha valakinek a biztonsága számít, az csak ő. Nem akarom meghalni látni őt. Bárki más halálát végig nézem, csak az övét ne kelljen. Nem szeretném életem végéig gyászolni őt, másra meg már nem is mosolyogni. Felsóhajtottam és vártam a következő reakcióját. Ehhez az édeskés undorhoz igazán csatlakozhatott volna valami, nem is tudom, rágalom vagy egy kijelentés, hogy utál egem. De semmi ilyesmi. Mintha most nem lett volna kedve hozzá. Érdekes, eddig mindig szívesen vágott vissza. Sietősen elindult előre, mintha késésben volna. Az órámra néztem, igen tényleg késésben volt. De én is! LLG-n kellett volna lennem, lennünk. Én azonban még mindig a negyedik emeleti folyóson hergeltem őt. - Hé Meadows várj meg! - utána siettem, hát persze. Egy kiadós veszekedés hiánya számomra már azt jelenti, hogy lehet normálisan kommunikálni vele. De valójában ez butaság. - Minek? Hogy megint azt mondd miattam késtél az óráról Galaway? - sikeresen utol értem és megragadtam a karját. Ami elégé félreérthető volt, megállítani akartam nem közelebb húzni magamhoz. - Figyelj Athalea, mondanom kell valamit. Végig tudsz hallgatni? - nem, persze, hogy nem tud, mert sietnünk kellene, de én itt próbálok romantikus hangulatot teremteni vele. Vele akivel amúgy nem lehet, mert még mindig egy bunkónak néz.
