Because I listen to the Wolf Hall audiobooks a normal, healthy amount Ben Miles' voice is Cromwell's voice in my head. And when Tay Kolma said, "I've had some business go south. Things have come to a head." I swear it was Cromwell saying it and when he looked at Mon Mothma and shrugged--was that ruefully? Glorious!- and said "I'm hoping to stay the week-end *glances down her bodice* buuut, we'll see..." again I was thinking of Cromwell and his late evenings with Lady Shelton and even Rafe thinks they're at it which is true in a way because isn't being in a scheme together just as hot as being in bed together?
And when she oh so innocently asks about his unseen wife, and he says "we're living a PART at the moment" *stare that looks like he just returned a hard serve on the tennis court* and I'm surprised you haven't heard," and then burbles happily into a silver goblet, "so much for the gossiping biddies of Chandrilla" I feel like I'm in some kind of Mirror and the Light Space AU with this shit...

I never cared about Tay and Mon.
BUT common!
You were suppose to support her, man!
Not crying about a love she is not willing to give you. Jeez pathetic idiot.
Arghhhh I hate him. He and Perrin are the worst.

Excited to see where Mon Mothma’s trust in Tay Kolma takes them in S2.
I mostly trust him, but Ben Miles’ characters do have a history of BIG reveals:

"Douglas Is Cancelled": Doctor Who's Alex Kingston and Karen Gillan reunite for Steven Moffat series
ITV has commissioned a four-part series about cancel culture, set in the world of television news, with an array of stars helming the cast. The show features Hugh Bonneville as news presenter Douglas, and Karen Gillan as his savvy co-anchor Madeline. Steven Moffat, who wrote and will executive produce show, said, "I just sat down and wrote this - didn't even tell anyone what I was doing. And now it's all happening, thanks to the amazing Sue Vertue (renowned TV producer and, in a rare moment of weakness, my wife). I can't quite believe we've managed to get the mighty Hugh Bonneville involved as Douglas and that we've lured my old friend Karen Gillan back from Hollywood, to play Madeline. And like that's not enough, we've got Ben Miles, Alex Kingston, Nick Mohammed and Simon Russell Beale. It's the kind of cast that makes you terrified about stepping into the room." [X]
