☻︎Run baths for them and add lots of bath bombs or bubble bath ( if they have sensitive skin just use the soap they wash their body with ). If they are struggling with cramps , Epsom salt in a bath is great ! And if they’re up to them bath toys is a must !

☻︎Don���t get mad at them for making a mess on their clothes/furniture. Just clean it up and make sure they're comfortable and reasure them they are not in trouble and that it’s not their fault .

☻︎Give them lots of cute snacks like pineapples and bananas.

☻︎Give them lots of cuddles and belly rubs if they are comfy with it .

☻︎Pick out comfortable clothes for them.

☻︎Make their favourite drink for them.

☻︎Try to get them in little space as much as you can so they don't think about it.

☻︎Make sure they feel wanted and loved, as their mood could change at any moment.

☻︎If they are uncomfortable with pacifiers in public a ring pop is a good alternative!

☻︎Before going out ask them what they want or need you to do if they regress.

JUN: blinks in confused cat. asks you to explain why there's a fake story online about joshua and why you liked it?? is still very confused when you explain to him the online culture of fanfiction. will not talk to you when he finds out its a romantic story and you're reading as Y/N. joshua?? really?? i'm right here?? can hold a grudge for a loonngg time, jun stans beware.

HOSHI: finds it absolutely hilarious that there's even fanfiction about vernon existing in this world. finds it even more hilarious how invested you are. pesters you until you send him the link so he can forward it to vernon. will sit next to you and begs you to read it out loud like a bedtime story - cackles whenever Story Vernon does something he knows Real Vernon would die before doing.

WONWOO: judges you HARD until he researches more and finds some fanfics that are actually really well written. sends you ones about him as a poor attempt to distract you from reading ones about other members. will side-eye poor writing and acts like a writing critic. gets fed up if you continue to read fanfics about other members and tries reporting every fanfic not about him so you can't find it. (spoiler alert: he fails)

WOOZI: shrugs. understands everyone has their little quirk. he's a little weirded out that its fanfics about people he knows personally but he doesn't mind. looks at you when you start ranting about a "really good story" and asks you point blank if its another piece of fanfiction. finds it cute that you try to hide it from him. just say it's a really good fanfic plot, love. you're not fooling anyone with the "it's an amazing book i read online."

THE8: asks if you need to start meditating again. does not support the amount of delusion (sorry guys but have you guys seen the the8 anti fan service clips) chides you that he's literally right here and you don't need an online version! will tell you to just go find the member you're reading about if you want them so bad. SEUNGKWAN: supports your interests 100%. admits to you months later that he acc also sometimes scrolls through their fanfics, just to see what their fans are up to. trades good fanfics with you sometimes - he stays solely with fluff fics though, will throw you the nastiest sideeye if you send him a smutty one.

VERNON: bro does not care! he just kind of nods, telling you that its cool. you can tell he's a little awkward about it though cause he doesn't bring it up ever again. will occasionally ask you for fic updates to see if you found anything funny or weird.

DINO: does not mind the fanfic reading itself but is super super annoyed that you're reading about someone else. WONWOO?? he'll yell, grabbing your phone to take a better look cause he cannot believe his eyes. what does hyung have that i don't?? threatens to expose you to wonwoo if you don't stop and read dino fics instead. tells you to screenshot anything that's remotely embarrassing so he can send it into the svt gc.

Summary:  Y/N is an accomplished writer who is newly divorced, and out of fear of the unknown, moves back to her small hometown she swore she’d never come back to.  She comes across her best friend that never left, who helps her out of a tough spot.  Will old feelings arise?  Or is she just too big for such a small place now?

A couple of months later Y/N finished the new book.  Bucky wanted to give her as much material to work with as possible, at least, that’s the excuse he used as he fucked her almost daily.  “I’m just making up for lost time,” he’d say with a smirk.  She had never felt so loved, both physically and emotionally, in her entire life, and felt like writing from her point of view, with a few dramatizations littered into the story to make it more than just porn with slight plot, was a fun challenge.  Her agent sent it off to the editor, who loved it, and after a couple of rounds of editing changes it was ready to be sent off to the publisher.  She had let Bucky read the versions as well, though more often than not he didn’t get past the sex scenes without coming to her to help with his hard on.  

Her agent and team did some awesome marketing for the book, and on drop day she watched the numbers climb online of book sales.  They all celebrated, Bucky inviting Sam and Steve back into town at Winnie’s house, with he and Autumn getting her a cake for the launch and partying well into the night with everybody she loved.  The book quickly made it to the New York Times Best Seller list, making it her fourth time.  She felt like she was walking on air, back in her element, until she got a letter a couple of weeks later.

“What’s that?” Bucky asked.

Y/N was frowning at the letter, then rolled her eyes and handed it to him to read.  “A cease and desist letter,” she huffed.  “And an intention to sue for defamation.”

“What?” Bucky frowned, taking the letter and reading it.  He saw the name on the letter and rolled his eyes as well.  “Seriously?  The ex husband?”

Y/N sighed and shrugged.  “I’m gonna call my lawyer,” she said.  Bucky read the letter again as Y/N called her lawyer and had a long discussion.  By the time she got off the phone she was exhausted, and Bucky had already finished making dinner.  “Hey, Sugar, I’m sorry that took so long,” she said, trudging into the kitchen and helping grab the dishes and setting them on the table, helping Autumn get her homework off the table.  

“What did the lawyer say?” he asked, bringing the food over.

“She says he has no case,” Y/N said, going and getting water for them all.  “But of course now I have to go through the whole process to get it dismissed.”

“Who has no case?” Autumn piped up.

“No one, pumpkin, don’t you worry about it,” Y/N quickly said, cupping her face and kissing her forehead.  “Just a few grown ups with grown up problems.”

“I don’t wanna be a grown up,” Autumn said with a frown.  

“That’s the way to be,” Bucky smirked.  “Never grow up.  Fuck being an adult.”

“Yeah!  Fuck it!” Autumn cheered.

“Buck!” Y/N slapped his arm as he laughed at Autumn.  She turned to Autumn.  “If you don’t want to be a grown up then you don’t get to use grown up words, little miss!”

“Aw,” Autumn whined.  “That’s not fair.”

They had dinner together, talking about their days and other things, but Bucky kept glancing at Y/N with a slightly worried look.  She knew he was stressing for her, and so after dinner and bedtime rituals she walked up behind him and hugged him around his waist as he finished getting ready for bed in the bathroom.  

“Mmh, hey honey,” he said, squeezing her arms on his stomach.  

“Hey Sugar,” she greeted him quietly.  “You okay?”

Bucky turned in her arms to face her, leaning against the sink and hugging her back.  “Are you okay?” he asked, leaning his forehead against hers.  

“I’ll be fine,” Y/N shook her head.  “He’s just being an ass.  But hey, you got your wish, right?”

“What wish?” Bucky frowned.

“He obviously read it,” Y/N smirked.  “And he got butt hurt that I’m happy.  With you.”

Bucky scoffed, fighting back a wide smile.  “Yeah, but I didn’t think he’d try to fucking sue you, the bastard.”

“This is nothing new, Sugar,” Y/N said, kissing the tip of his nose.  “The names and cities and similarities are so vague or changed that he’s basically outed himself to the world.  Which of course he didn’t think of, so he just embarrassed himself even more.”

Bucky sputtered as he laughed, covering his mouth so as not to wake up Autumn.  “Jesus Christ, what a dipshit,” he said.  “Well, his loss is my gain.”

Y/N smiled widely at him.  “You’re sweet.”

Bucky smirked.  “I am your Sugar.”  He leaned down and kissed her passionately, nipping at her bottom lip.

“Mmh, more like spice,” Y/N hummed.  

“We could recreate some spice,” he said suggestively.

Thankfully Y/N didn’t have to do much when it came to the lawsuit.  Y/N showed up with her lawyer back in New York, and when it was presented to the judge he laughed in Raphael’s face, dismissing it quickly.  Y/N didn’t even acknowledge Raf as she walked out, heading to her first stop on her book tour.  She was sad to leave Woodstock and everything behind for a while, but it was part of the process for marketing the book and getting it out there.

She walked into the bookshop with her agent, being greeted by the owner and the event coordinator, before being shuffled off to the side for a short reading and then a book signing.  There was already a good turnout, and she smiled at all the faces as she sat in front of everyone and read a short portion of the book.  When she started the signing she put on her polite smile and tried her best to engage with the fans who had come out.  As much as she appreciated them, she still didn’t consider herself very outgoing, and knew that she had to power through for just another hour or two before she could go back to the hotel and relax.

Y/N turned in her chair, saying goodbye to a fan before looking up and gasping.  “Bucky?  Autumn?  What are you doing here?” she smiled widely.

Autumn squealed and rounded the table, giving her a big hug.  “We’re here to see you!” she exclaimed.  “Are you surprised?”

“Oh definitely,” Y/N hugged her back tightly.  She turned to Bucky, who was smirking at her.  “You’re sneaky,” she narrowed her eyes at him, returning his teasing smirk.

“I can be,” he said, then leaned over the table, Y/N meeting him halfway and kissing him.  She was mildly aware of a bunch of cameras going off as they kissed, but didn’t think much of it at the moment.  “Mmh, missed you,” Bucky whispered.

“Missed you,” she whispered back.  

“Sign it!” Autumn said, rounding the table again and standing next to Bucky, opening the copy of her book she gave Bucky a week prior.

“Yes ma’am,” Y/N chuckled, quickly signing it with a short message to Bucky, then closing it.  “Are you guys leaving, or…?”

“We’re going to meet you at the hotel,” Bucky said quietly.  “Spend the night in the city then head back home tomorrow.”

“Okay,” she smiled happily.  “I’ll see you soon.”

“Love you,” he smiled.

“Love you!” Autumn nearly yelled, giving her the “I love you” sign in sign language as Bucky pulled her away holding the book.

“Love you!” Y/N said and did it back to her.  She watched them leave before greeting the next person.

“I’m sorry, um, is that…is the male romantic character based off of him?” the girl asked, eyeing Bucky and Autumn as they left.

Y/N smirked.  “Yeah,” she said.  “But don’t tell anybody.”

The girl smiled and nodded.

That was it. He fell hard, so hard that he almost forgot just who he was.

Very protective, and never ever gives you details on his jobs. Not even the location.

Chrollo has you and your child set up in a luxury apartment, with everything you could ever want.

He's so happy he can provide a good life for you and the baby. As well keep you safe.

Feitan Portor

He fought his feelings so hard. Even if you weren't a civilian, and even if you didn't have a child, he still would have been hesitant.

It's difficult for Feitan to open up to anyone, and most people find him odd and off putting.

Not you though, and not your children either. In fact they warmed up to him quite fast.

Never ever would anyone have imagined that he'd be good with kids, or that he'd be falling head over heels for someone in the first place.

Fei is highly protective, and you and your kids always have surveillance on you.

You didn't even know about his "occupation" until a close call with an enemy of the Troupe.

You'll never have to worry about money or safety again though, Feitan would never let you and your kids have anything less than the best.

Shalnark

He fits into a crowd the easiest. Upon first glance he's completely normal, friendly and open.

Shalnark has a habit of forming crushes and falls in love easily. Though it's always puppy love and his obsession only lasts a few months.

Not with you though. He knew you were the one as soon as he saw you, and when he looked up your entire history online he saw you had a child.

Shal hesitated at first, but honestly it was just because of him being a thief and part of a notorious group of criminals.

He still couldn't help but introduce himself and wedge his way into your life.

He's amazing with kids, and slipped into domestic life pretty easily. Even on his "business trips" he makes sure to send good morning and good night texts. Will even call to read the kids a bedtime story if he's able to.

Things I have learned about writing...

I'm generally of the opinion that writing advice on the internet should be avoided at all costs. Taste in literature is completely subjective and one person's Twilight is another person's Jane Austen.

Which is to say that this isn't advice. These are just general things I've learned and if you want to give them a whack, you're free to do so.

Read out loud to yourself. I have nothing to add to this, just do it. You'll hear the parts where you story clunks better than just silently rereading the same line six thousand times.

Research. You live in the age of instant information. The Library of Alexandria did not burn so that you could go onto reddit and ask a question you could have simply checked wikipedia for.

You don't have to introduce your characters all at the same time. This is something that is mostly an IF crime. I think people are terrified that some characters won't be as popular or as well liked if they don't get equal screen time so we always end up taking the Character Tour, as I've come to call it. The first two chapters of encountering literally everyone important like we're on a conveyor belt. Just fyi, some of the character I'm rabid about are center stage for approximately .5 seconds. The fandom will what it wills.

You have no power over the way other people interpret your story. So instead of paralyzing yourself with the need to wash clean every bit of your writing, understand that some people are just going to do what they want. You literally cannot please everyone and if you try to you will not finish anything.

Go outside and touch grass at least once a day. Getting wrapped up in online discourse is the surest way to completely skew how you see and interpret things. Which is why I say to never listen to writing advice. I once read earnest writing advice that said that a character sexually assaulting another character was okay if the other character was flirting. Because they "opened that option". Just say 'no' to stupid opinions, kids.

Trust your audience. I'm the first one to say that most readers are just a little stupid, while also encouraging you to trust that if they're reading something they care enough about it to figure it out. You don't have to describe or explain everything in excruciating detail. Avoid at all costs the urge to "as you know". If the characters know something, then no one should need to repeat it. If it's something the reader needs to know, it needs to come up more organically than three marionettes in a conference room reading exposition off cue cards.

It's just going to suck sometimes. You are going to feel really meh about some things and only want to write the cool parts you've scripted out in your head every night before bedtime. That's normal. It doesn't mean the writing is bad, it just means our society has the collective attention span of the average kitten. A lot of advice tells you to skip these parts and then work out the framework later, but I think that's probably what they did for the last season of Game of Thrones and we all know where that got them---incest and characters blatantly refusing to complete their arcs.

Embrace editing---later. It's easy to get cross eyed when you've reread the same thing ten times. You sometimes need to just let something cook for a while and then come back to it so you can see it with a fresh perspective. This includes the shitty framework from above. Write it out, make the logic flow, and worry about how it sounds later.

A Different Perspective by Maeko (AOS, SNW) - transporter malfunction fic, and this time it brings AOS Spirk to SNW verse. loved this one for the AOS Spirk dynamics, but mostly the SNW Spock and AOS Spock interactions and Maeko's perspective of Vulcan telepathy. it's a fascinating character study!

Are there any other interesting tidbits/changes in the Sonic movie novelization?

I’ll be honest, I didn’t read the first book lol I was really only interested in whether the writers had given Tails more of a backstory (which they did… kinda), so that’s why I read the second. However! I did read reviews online that said the first developed Tom & Sonic’s relationship more than in the movie.

Notable mentions in the 2nd book:

•Sonic 2 takes place 8 months after Sonic 1

• Tails spent many months seemingly looking for Sonic… He built those weapons Maddie & Rachel used at the wedding to account for the “natural disasters, dangerous adversaries, and booby traps” he encountered. (I mean!! That’s a whole tv show in itself!!)

• He also built a gun that atomizes things and he’s afraid of it, but he keeps it in his arsenal as a last resort. The text says that he isn’t sure it should be used, which is so interesting to me.

• I think he originally set out to look for the Master Emerald, but the Miles Electric (not what it's called in this universe but that’s what it is) kept picking up its energy across different planets... and somehow he knew that energy belonged to Sonic?

• Earth is the planet the rest of the galaxy is warned about lol

• Knuckles calls Sonic a Child of Mobius. Tails says that's "the traditional home of our kind".

• Tails is looking to find Sonic before “their enemies” do (weird that they have common enemies when they’ve never met?? WHO has Tails pissed off?????? Paramount!! I need to know!!)

• He was ready and willing to prepare Wade's garage for a siege attack (in exchange for stealing the police cruiser and driving it off a cliff). So, again—who has Tails pissed off?

• Instead of "The Master Emerald? That's just a bedtime story!" "Well, he believes it's real," it's "That's just a bedtime story!" "No, it's real. I should know. I think I’m one of the few still looking for it.” (What if one of his ‘enemies’ is Rouge? 👀)

• Tails runs the red light, and Sonic takes the wheel. Meanwhile, Tails climbs in the backseat of the cruiser to build speed boosters mid-chase 'cause Sonic was complaining they were going too slow xD. (This is where the "Promise? Promise you won't go anywhere?" happens :'))

• Tradition among the echidnas was to do an organ swap to make an alliance. Knuckles just breaks Eggman's hand instead, but that's… a part of the lore now. (edit: this is in my Top 5 favorite things from this book. I can imagine someone pitching this idea & the writer’s room going “what the fuck this is a kids movie” lmao)

• Tails offered to help Sonic in Siberia. No "I'm not a field guy!" protests here!

• Short Tails vs Eggman on the mountain (with very Sonic Raised Tails vibes 🥹; the text even says "Tails mocked the villain, almost like Sonic would have")

• Sonic doesn't believe he can fight Eggman and Knuckles alone after the wedding. Tom actually gives him a pep talk.

• Eggman's full name is Ivo Gerald Robotnik (Is that canon in other sonic medias?? I tried looking it up, but I don't see his name like that anywhere, yet I swear I already knew before I read it… *Is his full name canon, I mean. Ivo Gerald Robotnik.)

• Book Sonic reminds me of Modern Sonic more than his movie counterpart sometimes tbh

• There are multiple holograms of Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails at the start of the robot fight instead of just Tails.

• Maddie and Tom literally run through fire to reach Sonic

• Tails names Super Sonic!

• Instead of summoning a chili dog to prove he's not been corrupted by the Emerald, Sonic makes a fart noise with his armpit that has the "decibel of a bomb blast"

• Sonic recreates the Master Emerald, not Knuckles

- He teaches Solomon how to cook (Tries)

- He has accidentally called Simeon AND Lucifer dad before but denies it (They have no proof)

- Levi is his favourite brother, and he really looks up to him. He tried to bake Ruri-chan gingerbread people, but when it came to the decoration it didn't go the way he wanted it too so he got really upset. Levi absolutely loved them, thanked Luke and ate them all happily regardless. (I say all... I think we all know Beel got to a few)
