Homemade pizzas are good too. I just use the pillsbury pizza dough. Jealous you have a Publix. Calzones are good its just getting the balance right with the filling. First couple times was off for me. Chesse bread is good to and easier to make. Do you like French bread pizza?
My local place has been here for 20 years too. And its really the only non franchise place that has lasted. Others have come and gone but they have stayed. They also were only $5.00 until this year. My ranking is the same on pizza franchises. Mr Gattis pizza is my favorite buffet pizza place. Just a good childhood favorite and enjoy their salad bar.
My stepmom has made pizza out of the Pillsbury dough and I remember thinking it was gonna be gross lol, but it ended up being delicious. I feel like homemade pizza really is the best. I figured that might be an issue with calzones, I am excited to make them at some point! I have not had a good French bread pizza, it’s kind of like calzones where I just never had the chance to try a good one. I love Publix so much lol, compared to Winn Dixie or Walmart, I don’t have a close Aldis but id probably shop there more if I did.
We have a couple non franchises, but again they can be pricey since they aren’t a massive chain. I will say I hate most frozen pizzas lol, I use to eat it way too much since it was so easy, now it’s just so gross to me. Id get mad at my boyfriend sometimes for making it, i’m like i would have cooked rather than eat this.
I have never gotten the chance to Mr Gattis! They aren’t in Florida unfortunately, we do have CiCis which had a salad bar and it was iconic, the only one in my city closed down years ago, it was a good place for kids bday parties too 😭😭 I remember it very fondly because it was in a strip mall next to a AMAZING ice cream shop, other clothing stores, and this “exotic” pet shop that had this cool dino statue in the front. So sometimes when my mom went shopping, my brothers and i would get ice cream.
#I love this pizza talk#sorry this took me a bit to respond lol#i love sending paragraphs so it takes me time to write it out#asks

I came across this magazine while shopping at a Winn-Dixie. It caught my eye due to seeing the large face of the late Kobe Bryant. After taking the time to actually look at the magazine cover and analyze each aspect presented, I notice that Kobe’s face covers a wide portion of the cover. Right next to his face portrait is a smaller photo of Kobe holding his daughter Gianna tightly, beneath that photo is a headline reading “Kobe Bryant: The Shocking Death of a Sports Legend.” At the top of the cover is the magazine name, People, and holds a small picture of two women with a byline beside it reading “The Bella Twins: We’re Both Pregnant.” Lastly I see a picture of a woman in the top right corner of the cover, her line reads “Princess Kate’s Emotional New Project.” I believe the work done goes hand-in-hand with the advertisers intent to catch viewers eyes (like mine) with Kobe’s face due to his recent death. This makes the viewer wonder “what does this say about Kobe” prompting the viewer to purchase the magazine and see what information is being shared in order to feel a heavier emotional weight by the sudden death. Any misinterpretation from analyzing this magazine cover could be that this causes viewers to believe People Magazine prioritizes sports icons over other celebrities. As for the impact this magazine cover has on me, it’s actually not much of an impact because I didn’t buy it and try to read it. It caught my eye and prompted me to look at what is said about Kobe’s death. I think his death is tragic and untimely, however if I wanted to read more information regarding the incident, I would just use social media.

C and Y for the ask!! :'D
I love your icon!! It’s too cute!! And the rest of your art is adorable as well!!
Thank you for the ask ^u^
C: Do you remember the first book you ever read?
The earliest books I remember reading were the Harry Potter series and Goosebumps. Like those were my jam back in the day. Especially those Goosebump books! I read so many of them! I also remember reading Bridge to Terabithia and Because of Winn-Dixie and A Wrinkle in Time and all those other classic books you read in elementary.
Y: Do you have a favorite quote?
Can I just link the entire Six of Crows duology? Because the entire series is probably my favorite quote tbh! But if I had to choose one from the series, it would definitely be this one:
“The sun was out for once, and Inej had turned her face to it. Her eyes were shut, her oil-black lashes fanned over her cheeks. The harbor wind had lifted her dark hair, and for a moment Kaz was a boy again, sure that there was magic in this world.”
This whole scene honestly slays me, but that last line, “sure that there was magic in this world,” utterly kills me given Kaz’s background! Like ugh!! The otp feels are strong with this one! Every scene with Kaz and Inej slays me tbh, but this one is my fav.
ask me book questions.

Grocers say Pillsbury flour has been recalled because of Salmonella risk | Food Safety News
Two grocery chains are reporting that the parent company of the Pillsbury Co. has initiated a nationwide recall of flour packaged under the iconic brand because of possible Salmonella contamination.
However, neither Pillsbury nor its owner Hometown Food Co. had posted the recall on their websites, or with the Food and Drug Administration, as of last night.

So, as I was taking a leisurely walk through my local Winn Dixie I spotted a magazine. On the front of said magazine I recognized a familiar looking, scar headed boy on the cover. Of course it took me no time at all to decide that, whatever the cost, this "20 Years of Magic" Harry Potter Time Magazine was coming home to live with me (like, if Dobby can be a free elf, why can't this be?). Unlike the boy on the cover, this periodic publication will be paraded in front of every one of my acquaintances as my pride and joy. No more will he see the inside of a dusty, old cupboard under the stairs. He will be home. But, I digress... When I got home I began thumbing through the pages. Growing more and more proud of myself as I read through it realizing that I already knew most of the information. This magazine did teach me, however, that Gambondore NEVER READ THE BOOKS!! Ugh. It all makes so much more sense. That's why he didn't realize that Harry was never yelled or pushed against stuff because of the POSSIBILITY of having put his name in the goblet of fire (*calmly* FREAKING CALMLY!!!). And, no. This didn't make me feel better at all. After punching my couch a few times, I decided to move along in my reading. That's when I found this. Now, one of the best lines in the movies is when Dumbledore iconically says, "Happiness can me found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." Now, this line, of course, is from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. But this Time magazine says differently. Is this what passes for journalism these days? Really? The Goblet of Fire?? I mean, I could MAYBE understand it being mistaken for having been in The Half Blood Prince with Voldemort being back and Big D explaining how Tom Riddle was just a normal boy who allowed the darkness to rule over him. But THE GOBLET OF FIRE? Where? When? At what point did the writer imagine this taking place? I'm honestly just thankful that I bought this and spared some up and coming Potterhead from misinformation.
#on the power of positive thinking my ass#time magazine can expect a VERY strongly worded letter from me soon#do better#BE better!#this is why we need editors#Harry Potter#harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban#not Harry Potter and the goblet of fire#get it straight#harry potter 20th anniversary#20 years of harry potter#20 years of magic

In todays society, pop culture and advertising go hand-in-hand. It is hard to say which influences the other. When advertising plays off of something relevant in pop culture, it can be very impactful because the audience relates to it at that moment in time. Pop culture is the mainstream culture produced for mass consumption. This definition is also relevant for advertising, the only difference is, advertising is paid.
In an independently organized TED event, Alexandre Philippe, discusses his love of pop culture and what role it plays in our community. His talk is heavily influenced by Star Wars, which is a huge pop culture icon. He makes a very valid argument while discusses the importance of this film.
I myself relate with this because I too am a fan of man pop culture icons, especially Star Wars. How many times have fellow fans heard that Star Wars is “just a movie.” Alexandre hits the nail on the head with his response to this comment. “It is the easy argument, of course you can say that Star Wars is only a movie. But look, Star Wars changed culture, it changed the way we watch movies, it changed the movie industry, it changed technology, it changed the toy industry. Star Wars changed the world.” The toy industry was changed so drastically, that they had to rethink their business. There had never been a movie that was so successful that toys were designed in advance so that the toys would coincide with the release of the movie. The films have been so popular, that fans have declared May 4th as national Star Wars Day. To some this holiday may sound like a joke, but many companies participate in the event with a variety of ads.
Now lets dive into just how pop culture and Star Wars changed Marketing. The films were so successful, a second trilogy was made, and there are currently lots of films in the works. This post is extremely relevant because we will receive the next movie in the new trilogy in just 2 short weeks. The ad campaigns ARE EVERYWHERE. Look at Nissan, last year they branded their Nissan Rouge vehicle as a Rouge one edition to mimic the movie in 2016. This year, they have a master the drive campaign to go along with the new emerging film.
This past year there was a huge covergirl ad campaign for star wars featuring limited edition makeup items.
Currently, Winn Dixie’s entire store is full of Star Wars promotions, encouraging consumers to participate in the galaxy far far away. Target also participates in Star Wars advertising events.
Pop culture is a universal language, it connects us across racial, political, and social divides. Culture Icons, such as Star Wars, can be seen everywhere, especially in advertisement.
Lets talk about pop culture ads. More importantly, lets talk about Star Wars Ads. In todays society, pop culture and advertising go hand-in-hand. It is hard to say which influences the other.
