Bears vs. Vikings live updates: NFL scores, game stats, highlights, injuries for 'Monday Night Football'
Defense has been the story so far in Minnesota, where the Vikings took a 13-0 halftime lead over the Chicago Bears in a matchup of division rivals.
The Vikings' defense set the tone on the game's first drive when Jonathan Greenard and Jerry Tillery combined to stuff running back D'Andre Swift for no gain on fourth-and-1. Minnesota's offense parlayed the stop into a field goal by Will Reichard.
Minnesota's defense set up the game's next score moments later when Greenard strip-sacked Caleb Williams. The Vikings' offense capitalized on the turnover when Darnold hit Justin Jefferson on a 7-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter.
Chicago's defense has tried to keep the Bears in the game. Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson ended one Vikings drive when he picked off Darnold deep in Chicago territory. But the Bears' offense wasn't able to capitalize on the turnover after Swift was stuffed again on a fourth down try late in the first half. The stop gave the Vikings enough time to get on the board once more before halftime on Reichard's 31-yard field goal.
Who will come out on top in the second half? Follow along in our live blog to find out.

Note
I've perfectly understood protagonist and antagonist, but now I've lost understanding on heroes and villains. I used to think, unlike antagonists, villains are usually evil or have malevolent intent. But when I think about it, that's not what I see in most stories. When I plan out my own story, I always fail to make anybody evil - including the villain. I just don't think anyone is evil. I don't believe in it. So now my understanding of these archetypes are all messed up.
Heroes and Villains
Bear with me while I try to unpack this, because what you've stumbled into is a philosophical quagmire...
I think where you're getting hung up is the discordance between the definition of true evil, and the loose application of the word to anyone or anything that causes harm. Complicating matters is the popularity of morally gray villains, which is what I think you say you're seeing ina lot of stories.
The Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy defines "evil" as "the most severe condemnation our moral vocabulary allows. Murder, torture, enslavement and prolonged humiliation are some examples of it." The definition goes on to explain that evil must involve serious, unjustifiable harm that causes suffering and damages the victims' capacity to function normally.
The keyword here is "unjustifiable," though, because... and here's where the philosophical ramifications come into play: what is and isn't justifiable can be up for debate, as is who gets to decide that.
I'm sure you've heard of the "trolley problem." If there's a runaway trolley heading toward five people stuck on the track, and you can pull a lever to divert the trolley onto another track to save them, of course you'd do it in a heartbeat. But what if there was one person stuck on the other track, so you'd be killing them to save the other five people. What do you do then? On one side, there are all sorts of arguments about the greater good, sacrificing the few to save the many, and the potential immorality of doing nothing. On the other side, you have arguments against "playing God," interfering with fate, and turning an accident into a deliberate decision to kill.
And then you get into the persnicketiness of justifiability, because killing the one to save the five is justifiable to the five people, their loved ones, and people arguing on the side of the greater good and the immorality of doing nothing. But, killing the one is not justifiable to the one who dies, their loved ones, and the people who argue against playing God, interfering with fate, and turning an accident into a deliberate decision to kill. So, no matter what you do, it's unjustifiable... but does that actually make you evil? Of course not.
And that's where things get complicated with villains in fiction and how we apply the definition of evil. One of my favorite villains ever is Niklaus Mikaelson in the Vampire Diaries universe. He's one of the original vampires... a young Viking man, abused by his father since childhood, cursed with immortality as a means of protection by his well-meaning witch mother. This leads to him and his siblings being chased by their father-turned-vampire-hunter through the centuries. Klaus's ultimate motivation is to protect his family, but as the lengths he goes to become increasingly more harmful, the justifiability of his actions becomes increasingly twisted. Klaus is certainly evil by definition of causing unjustifiable, serious harm. However, when we start to look at who he is, why he is the way he is/does what he does, and his overall motivation, we get into some gray areas.
Which is why morally gray villains are so popular in fiction, because if we can argue what is and isn't justifiable, and who does and doesn't get to determine that, things start to get really complicated, making fiction a fertile ground within which to explore the concept of evil, good vs evil, morality, etc.
So... having said that... I think you know what antagonists are, and I think you know what villains are. Don't get too caught up on the idea of pure evil. You can have a villain who causes harm for reasons that are justifiable to them or others, even if the majority of others would not see it as justifiable.
I hope that helps rather than muddying the waters!

VF-103 F-14 crew member tells the story of TARPS IR photo of Egypt Air Boeing 737 carrying Achille Lauro hijackers after landing at Sigonella
F-14 Tomcat TARPS equipped
The F-14 equipped with Tactical Airborne Reconnaissance Pod System (TARPS) … or Peeping Tom.
According to Home of M.A.T.S., until introduction of a replacement on the F/A-18, the TARPS was the only possibility for the Navy to get tactical information about an area or target via a fast flying aircraft, the F-14. Since the retirement of the RF-8, the RF-4B and various A-3 Skywarrior variants, the F-14 was the only aircraft for this role (and can carry at the same time a complete range of air-to-air weapons!) until the introduction of a F/A-18 recce aircraft with reconnaissance equipment instead of a gun!
Taken in 1985 by a TARPS equipped VF-103 Sluggers F-14 Tomcat the IR photo featured in this article shows the Egypt Air Boeing 737 carrying the Achille Lauro hijackers after landing at Sigonella.
During CVW-17’s August 1985-1986 Med deployment, CVW-17’s aircraft were responsible for the successful intercept and forced landing of the Egyptian airliner carrying the infamous Achille Lauro ship hijackers.
More details on the operation are featured in Mike Crutch’s book CVW: US Navy Carrier Air Wing Aircraft 1975-2015.

VF-74 F-14
As Crutch explains in fact, CVW-17 embarked aboard USS Saratoga (CV-60) entered the Sixth Fleet’s area on Sep. 2, 1985, and air wing Tomcats met their first Soviet Tu-95 BEAR three days later west of Gibraltar. During this period, VF-103 sent their TARPS F-14As on a long range recce mission to photograph ships of the Soviet battlecruiser Frunze surface action group.
MS Achille Lauro hijacking
After turnover with USS Nimitz (CVN-68, with CVW-8 embarked) on Sep. 13, the ship and air wing returned to the massive, ongoing NATO wargames and took part in Exercise DISPLAY DETERMINATION ’85. It was as the final phase of that exercise ended – on Oct. 8 – that the Italian passenger liner MS Achille Lauro was hijacked by Palestine Liberation Front (PLF) terrorists off the Egyptian coast.
As contingencies were drawn up by the Pentagon, Saratoga sailed eastwards from the Ionian Sea that same day – promptly running into two prowling Soviet Il-38 MAYs operating out of Syria, both of which were intercepted by F-14s. The following day, Saratoga was southeast of Crete and launched S-3 Vikings from VS-30 Diamond Cutters to locate the cruise liner, only to receive word that evening that the Achille Lauro had made Port Said in Egypt at the orders of PLF leader Abu Abbas. After the ship docked, the terrorists fled in one of the harbour vessels, and the Achille Lauro’s crew and passengers were free to disembark; the brutal murder of passenger – and US national – Leon Klinghoffer some hours beforehand was not apparent to Italian and US government officials until later that night.
Despite intelligence to the contrary, the Egyptian government stated that the terrorists had already left the country and no prosecutions would be possible. President Ronald Reagan was not going to let a second American’s murder at the hand of Middle East terrorists go unpunished, as had the killing of Navy diver Robert Stethem – a passenger aboard hijacked TWA Flight 847 earlier that year at Lebanon’s Beirut airport.

Egypt Air Boeing 737 SU-AYK
US intelligence – almost certainly aided by Israel’s Mossad – soon learnt of the Egyptian government’s deception and that Cairo’s Almaza airbase would be the point from which the terrorists would depart the country. An Egypt Air Boeing 737 (registration SU-AYK) was observed making an unusual positioning flight for such an airliner to the base from Cairo’s main airport, and a flight plan filed with a destination of Tunisia – a country with close Palestinian connections and known haven for Abu Abbas’ PLF terrorists.
At the direction of the National Command Authority, Commander Sixth Fleet in Naples was ordered to intercept and divert the Boeing to the US base at Sigonella, Italy where US forces would take the terrorists into custody. On course for a port call in the Yugoslav city of Dubrovnik, Saratoga was tasked to carry out the intercept; CAG of CVW-17 – CDR Bob Brodsky – planned to launch seven F-14s (drawn from both VF-74 and VF-103, including a TARPS bird from the latter), supported by KA-6D tankers of VA-85 Black Falcons and three E-2Cs of VAW-125 Tigertails. Knowing that the Boeing would route around Libyan airspace to the north, an airborne ‘gate’ was established south of Crete through which all traffic was monitored. The CO of VAW-125 – CDR Ralph Zia – was airborne in one of the E-2Cs, callsign TIGERTAIL 603 (BuNo 161547), and led the efforts to identify all airborne contacts.
One VF-74 Tomcat pilot would later remark “It was amazing how many aircraft were flying without lights over the Mediterranean that night – from Russian Il-76 transports to even a pair of USAF C-141s that we later realised had onboard members of the special ops teams waiting to capture those onboard the 737.”

Egypt Air Boeing 737
Intelligence assets had reported that around 2200hrs local time, the Egypt Air Boeing 737 had taken off from Almaza (using the callsign EGYPTAIR 2843) and had set course for Tunisia as flight planned.
After a number of intercepts, one of the VF-103 Tomcats (reportedly CLUBLEAF 205 – F-14A BuNo 160904) finally visually identified the Egypt Air Boeing 737 – cruising at 34,000 feet – and confirmed its registration as SU-AYK back to Zia onboard TIGERTAIL 603. They were soon joined by the other F-14As and, after conducting visual intercept manoeuvres to ‘follow me’ as well as a brief radio exchange between Zia and the 737’s captain, all headed for Sigonella.
After some one and a quarter hours under Tomcat escort, the Boeing 737 touched down at 0040hrs local time on 11 October. TARPS imagery (taken from CLUBLEAF 214 – F-14A BuNo 161134) recorded the stand-off on the ground between US special forces – intent on capturing the terrorists – and Italian security forces, who were acting on the orders of their furious government who had received no prior briefing on the USA’s actions and use of Italian territory. The US forces were eventually withdrawn after a long standoff, and the terrorists passed into the hands of the Italian authorities.
Larry Neal, former VF-103 F-14 crew member who took part in the intercept, explained to me: ‘The day prior to the intercept, we had in fact tracked down the Achille Lauro and using a stand-off LOROPS TARPS system had imaged the ship in anticipation of a rescue attempt. When the ship pulled in and was surrendered, the rescue mission was canceled and we reassumed Alert 60, and headed to Dubrovnik.
Looking for a civilian airliner

‘Later that day, the 1MC launch order came about 7pm. Crews were scrambling to jets in a “fast as you can get there” mode. There was no brief. All I was told prior to launch was “you’re looking for a civilian airliner and you may be cleared to fire.” As I manned up Hummers and tankers were launching. The first F-14 airborne was a Devil (VF-74), but in their rush to be first, they’d launched without a system. CDC decided they couldn’t participate and parked them overhead for the duration.
‘The next 4 aircraft airborne were Sluggers (VF-103). I was in that bunch and was airborne about 7:25 or so in a TARPS jet. We tanked overhead then proceeded to CAP stations, two aircraft at the eastern end of Crete and two at the western. Several intercepts were made of passing comm air. Two bogies popped up to the east. One Slugger was sent out to id. Midway through the intercept the pilot realized that the bogies had their lights off. Ours were immediately turned off as well. That intercept went as described…lights out.
‘Final id with a flashlight and then using the engines as a distinguishing indicator. Four under the wings. We saw these guys again later. The Slugger was called off and told to return to station. About that time, I was given a vector for a bogie climbing NE out of Benina. We were all still midnight. Early contact on the bogey. Id’ed as a Flogger. Ran the intercept to about 35-40 mi, when he turned and RTB’ed.
Lights out Slugger
‘I reset to the western CAP station. We waited a bit. A new contact was detected coming north out of Egypt. It turned west and was immediately joined by a lights out Slugger. The pilot reported the tail number and unusual tail design back to CDC. As the 737 turned and proceeded west, the other three Sluggers all joined up still lights out and basically surrounded the 737. Zia spoke with the 737 on VHF and us on UHF. The conversation and the lights on went as described [in our previous article].

VF-103 F-14 TARPS IR photo showing Egypt Air Boeing 737 carrying the Achille Lauro hijackers after landing at Sigonella
‘Once the 737 pilot had been convinced to proceed to Sig, it became pretty quiet. One of the Slugger jets had been loaded with 20mm tracers but they weren’t necessary. The Italian controllers did at first refuse entry but one of the Slugger back seaters declared “emergency fuel” as a ploy to get us clearance. It worked. We’d left the descent too long not realizing the limitations of the 737. The 737 was too high on its first approach to the westerly runway (27?) and took it around. Over shot the second approach and finally landed on his third attempt.
‘As he landed, two lights out 141s landed behind him and turned their lights on as they rolled out. I was overhead taking pictures at 4K’. We all rtb’ed. No F-14s landed at Sig. Called Hotshot on the way back…straight in. OK 3 NC. It didn’t count towards the line period because it had officially ended. Pissed me off. 5 hrs of night time.’
Another attempt to intercept the 737
Noteworthy as Crutch points out in his book, some sources paint a picture of another attempt to intercept the 737 – confirmed as carrying PLF leader Abu Abbas – as it positioned to Rome on Oct. 11. Some reports even state that F-14s tried to disrupt escorting Italian F-104 Starfighters in an attempt to secure the Boeing airliner. Saratoga had anchored off Dubrovnik earlier that day, and no other US carriers were in the Mediterranean at the time, so a work of fiction or a still-classified incident involving forces of a fellow NATO member? Perhaps we will never know.

UnTamed Ch.19
Damian Wayne x OC!Female
Prev | Next
"It has potential," Jason said as he stepped over some broken floorboards.
"It needs work," Asta said, lifting her cloak as she tiptoed across the weak floors. I don't smell mold. The roof and outer walls are intact. That's all good." She watched rats scurry across the floors. It was an abandoned apartment building sitting between Crime Alley and the Narrow. They plan to renovate it and put it to use.
They were still debating the use. Of course, they wanted it to house people, but the kind of people was the argument. Jason didn't want to put any stipulations on allowing all people in the building who needed it. Asta didn't want sex workers, drug dealers, or drug users. She had no problems with these people. Their activities and professions, however, were dangerous.
She had first had accounts of sex workers and drug dealers being followed and attacked by clients she didn't want to endanger the other residents. As for the drug users, they use and sometimes overdose; children didn't need to see that. Sometimes, they got desperate and stole. These people were already at rock bottom. They don't need their junkie neighbor stealing what little they have. And she witnessed enough dealers vs users fights to know housing them together wasn't a good idea.
Asta figured they'd find or make housing for them elsewhere. Honestly, the argument didn't matter at the moment. It was the middle of late winter, and the snow was still piled high. Nothing could be done until the snow started to clear.
"This could be a room for the children. A playroom or daycare, perhaps?"
"Perhaps? You talk like Damian."
"What's wrong with that?" she looked to the corner of the room where the ceiling had caved in. The damage was heavy.
"Damian sounds fancy and talks as such." he steps over the debris to get a closer look. " You, however, have a street accent. It's just... sounds funny. Not trying to make fun of you or-"
" You think you can hurt me," she says as she looks out a broken window. There's a lot of space out back, and they could make a playground. I don't wear clothes, I walk around bear-footed, I can't... I've heard or thought of worse," she chuckles to herself. She had a lot of experience with Gotham's cruelty.
"The Basement could be a laundry room," Damian said. He smirked at Jason's flinch.
" What are you doing here?" he was ignored.
" You'll have to order new machines and clean up the needles."
Asta approached him, giving him a peck on the cheek. " It needs more than a clean-up, Damian. Why are you here?"
"To see you and what you're working with. Also, Dick wants some sibling bonding. He and  the others are waiting in the car."
Jason groaned before and started making his way outside. "
I don't—" he showed her a bag before she could finish. There went her excuse. " I made sure they were soft and comfortable." She dropped her cloak and pulled a dress from the bag. " It's soft cotton." She slipped on the grey sweater dress. It was soft and thick and stopped just above her knees. He pulled out a pair of socks and black boots that stopped just below her knees.
"Do I look civilized?"
"You look beautiful."
"Why dresses?" Asta asked. She noted that it was always a dress whenever Damian brought her clothes. No matter the season, weather, or occasion, it was always a dress. And Damian did indeed have reasons.
"You don't like clothes. Dresses are flowing and easy to remove once you tire of them." how thoughtful. She smiled and took his arm as he led her out of the building.
-
"It's an Arcade," Dick said. "We can see that, stupid," Jason said, walking past him with the others.
"What's your favorite game?" Duke asked, falling behind to walk with Asta and Damian." Um, cheese Viking," she said, although it was the only thing she played, so there were no other references. " Cheese Viking, really?" she shrugged. " They have one somewhere around here. Maybe you can beat Damian's score." She looked at Damian.
"Challenge accepted," Damian smirked before taking her hand and leading her away.
Duke smiled as he watched the couple disappear into the crowd, looking for the game.
" Never would I have imagined Demon brat with a girl," Tim said as he stood with his other siblings watching Dick and Cassandra play air hockey.
" I always thought whoever he did end up with would be as crazy or weird as him, " Steph said
"That's the problem," Jason said. " The moment you stop calling him crazy and Demon brat, you'll remember he's just a kid. It's quite easy to see they're just weird kids." with that said, he and Duke walked off to play an open shooting game together.
"Cute," Cassandra said as she looked at the young couple. She was just as competitive as Damian if her focus said anything. Damian looked very entranced with her. Finish their game, Dick approached the couple, who were now arguing.
"Luck"
"Well then, call me Lady Luck because I just beat your score."
"How about a rematch, Lady Luck?"
"how about you give others a chance to play," Dick said.
"We have Cheese Viking at home." Damian whispered, " Let's find another game."
They found a motorcycle game Damian vs. Tim. While Dick and Asta watched.
"How did you meet him?" he asked. She smiled. " he was working... work? He caught me stealing from thieves. Robin Hood situation, he let it slide when I told him why-we met off and on during his work until he finally decided I was a friend. We were near inseparable after that." she looked on at him in adoration.
"How did he get you to be his girlfriend?" she turned to him, confused.
" He asked?"
"No, I mean, how did he do it?"
"why? Need advice? I'd talk to Alfred," she teased. " Lunch. He got me a fancy dress, took me to a fancy lunch, and told me his feelings had changed and grown, and he wanted to proceed into a possibility. A romantic relationship. His exact words. I said okay, and here we are," she said almost breathlessly.
Dick smiled as he thought about it. It definitely sounded like Damian. He could imagine Damian speaking in his posh tone, treating it more like a business meeting. All stiff and proper until she agreed. He couldn't imagine how he relaxed, though. He couldn't imagine Asta relaxed either. The only he'd ever seen her as relaxed was when she was unconscious. Any other time she was tense or anxious. They could always see it. She was never calm or relaxed despite everything they tried. Alfred hinted at seeing her relaxed but never told how.  Even now, Dick could see her anxiously pulling at her dress.
Despite her smile, she wasn't comfortable here. " Have you ever played Pac-Man?" he asked, maybe he could distract her.
"I've heard of it."
-
Hours later, the group found themselves in a pizza parlor indulging in an amount of grease Alfred would not approve of. But everyone was enjoying themselves, so maybe he'd let it slide.
"Alright, I see it now," Tim said. " You two are a perfect competitive match."
"Yes, we've come together to kick your butt," Asta said smugly. The others laughed and teased him. It was then that she noticed.
She arrived at the manor. Asta had been having trouble with her empath abilities, being emotionally overwhelming all the time but hiding so as not to be upset or seem rude. She focused on one person's emotions, usually Damian or Alfred. Damian was aware of her abilities and tried to help. And Alfred was simply more put together than others and held his emotions as such. They were easy to cling to.
But here she was now, surrounded by all his siblings, clinging to no one for the first time since entering the manor. She was taking in all their emotions (aside from Bruce and Alfred), and she was doing fine. She felt their joy, amusement, and love, and it felt so good. She felt so good.
Turning to Damian, she grins and takes his hand, engulfing him in the surrounding happiness she felt. He gasps at the sudden feelings. He grins, too, turning to her and pulling her into a kiss. Just a peak, but it was enough to have his siblings cooing and teasing. They did not care because with that one peck she felt all his love.

Bears Sweep Rose City Showdown
Cal Defeats San Francisco, Portland State
PORTLAND – The California volleyball team extended its winning streak to 3-0 with a five-set win over San Francisco (22-25, 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 15-11) and a sweep over host Portland State (25-23, 25-15, 25-23) to win the Rose City Showdown in Portland Saturday evening.   In the match against the Dons (1-1), several Bears had career games: Xuemeng (Maggie) Li - 24 kills (tied), Peyton DeJardin - 18 kills, Mikayla Hayden - 15 kills, Annalea Maeder - 60 assists. Maeder registered three service aces over the two matches and is now just five away from tying Teri Donahue for fifth place on Cal's all-time career list. Li had 15 kills against Portland State (0-2) for her third straight match with double-digit kills.   Vs. San Francisco In the first set, Maggie Li picked up three kills in the Bears' opening four points. With the set tied at 9-9, Cal scored three unanswered points capped off by Li's fourth kill. After the Dons cut the deficit to one point, the Bears rallied off three straight points to take a 16-12 lead. Cal went up 21-18 on a Peyton DeJardin kill, but USF answered with six straight points to take a 24-21 lead. Li ended the Dons' run with her eighth kill, but it wasn't enough as USF closed out the set.
After going down 4-5 early, kills from Ashley Li and DeJardin powered a 3-0 Bears' run to take a 7-5 lead. USF answered with its own 3-0 run to re-take the lead, however Cal scored six of the next seven points powered by three Mikayla Hayden kills. With the set tied at 18-18, the Bears scored the next two points and never gave up the lead to take the second set.   DeJardin opened the third set with a service ace to help Cal jump out to a 4-1 lead early. With the game tied at 9-9, Maggie Li registered three kills to help put the Bears up 14-11. From there Cal was able to hold off USF until the set became tied again at 23-23. Both teams would exchange points before the Dons closed out the set off two Cal errors.   The fourth set was extremely tight as neither team went ahead by more than two points and it featured 15 ties. With Cal down 20-21, DeJardin registered back-to-back service aces to power a 5-0 Bears' run that closed out the set and forced a fifth set.   In the deciding set, DeJardin posted two kills to help Cal get out to an early 6-1 lead, however the Dons were able to get back into the set with four unanswered points. The Bears then responded with a 3-0 run to re-gain control. Cal was able to hold off USF the rest of the way and DeJardin registered the game-winning kill to complete the comeback.   "I'm so proud of the team for the way they battled in this match," head coach Jen Malcom said. "USF had a great game plan and we needed everyone to come back and win in 5. Mikayla and Peyton stepped up and put the team on their back in set 4 and 5 and gave us a spark we needed."

Vs. Portland State After Cal went down 4-6 early, it scored four straight points fueled by kills from Ashley Li and DeJardin to take an 8-6 lead. Portland State responded taking five of the next six points to take a 11-9 advantage before the Bears answered with three straight kills from Maeder, Hayden and Maggie Li to power a 9-0 run, putting them up 18-11. After Cal went up 22-15, the Vikings were able to get back into the set scoring eight of the next nine points to tie the set at 23-23. Mikayla Hayden came to the rescue getting the last two kills to seal the win. The Vikings went up 8-4 early but the Bears went on a 5-1 run powered by kills from Kate Mansfield, Maeder and Maggie Li to tie the set at 9-9. Maeder served back-to-back aces to put Cal up 14-11. The Bears then used a 9-2 run to take control of the set and coast to the win. The Vikings had their best start and jumped out to an 8-4 lead in the third set before a Mansfield kill brought the Bears to within two points at 9-11. A 4-1 run capped off by consecutive Maggie Li kills tied the set at 15-15. Li registered a block to give the Bears their first lead at 18-17. After the Vikings tied the set at 23-23 Hayden and DeJardin nailed consecutive kills to seal the win and complete the sweep.
"Today showed how resilient our team is and how much work they have put in during the preseason," Malcom said. "To sweep a team after playing a tough five setter a few hours before is never easy but the team showed up and gave it their all. Our staff was happy with the first weekend and know there is more that this team can do."

The Little Blue Gentleman vs The Little Blue Viking
I observed this skirmish at the bird feeder. I really feel like The Little Blue Viking encapsulates the main problem with society today. In fairness though, The Little Blue Gentleman needs a timer -- he's so slow choosing his peanuts. I just don't think violence is the answer. And bear in mind that the Viking was the one who followed his little wife through the trees singing to her so beautifully... he has hidden depths.

Dream Log: Experienced what can only be described as a The Seven prequel movie if it was 1) even more bizarrely homoerotic than The Boys, 2) set in a fantasy game (nothing but massive castles and moats and beaches under cliffs), 3) Candy Crush.
I don't remember much but I can tell you that I saw how The Deep ended up joining Homelander that served also as an explanation of why he still sticks around. Homelander was dating a guy who was essentially Boys-verse Batman (but not Tek Knight) who had no powers at all. And Homelander really respected and loved him and not-Batman broke up with him for reasons that made sense in the logic of the dream and Homelander was very upset about it but didn't kill this guy for reasons that, again, made sense in the logic of the dream.
Meanwhile, hard-cut to Kevin getting non-consensually pissed on by guys at a frat party. I can only assume this was meant to be a Gen-V university scene, because they were all wearing wrestling outfits and were shoving him around so I have to assume they were also superpowered. Anyway, they didn't like him and he was being bullied, so he left the party crying and was wandering around the ramparts and ran into Homelander who (possibly due to feeling delicate?) was being really kind and gentle to him. I have no idea of his motivations Homelander is hard to get sometimes.
Then Bear turned into a scorpion and burrowed into the sand and I had to try and dig him out but turns out there's a lot of scorpions that are burrowed under the wet sand on beaches but eventually he turned into a cat again and decided to come out. Then I had to go to war which was Purple vs. Orange on the side of Orange and be on a Viking ship where Chris Hemsworth was our king and no one really knew what was going on but we played tug-of-war and Hughie was on the other team in a lowcut sleeveless v-neck sweater vest and they made me sit out during the soccer match because I was going fucking crazy about it. #MyDream
