DC Comics has announced a new middle-grade graphic novel following the pooches and pets of Gotham’s Super-Villains. Barkham Asylum hails from writer and artist Yehudi Mercado.

“When the Super-Villains of Gotham get thrown into Arkham Asylum, their henchpets go to the maximum-security pound known as Barkham Asylum. Fur flies when Jester, The Joker’s dog, gets a tough-talking stray cat named Penny tossed into lockup with him. But they’ll have to work together to figure out what the evil Dr. Hugo Mange is up to. And the only way to stop this terrifying team-up is to win the talent show and get visitation with their masters at Arkham on the hill. Because the Joker is sure to help! What could go wrong with that plan?” (DC Comics)

Barkham Asylum goes on sale on February 6, 2024.

oh i forgot to say ! i got some comics on free comic books day so i’m probably gonna read those soon too! idk when, just at random probably

i was going to read arkham asylum: living hell because its just a get things off my to-read list kind of day but while i was searching for it i was immediately distracted by a childrens comic called "Barkham Asylum" where all of the batman villains have pets, so obviously i read it, and its mostly exactly what you would expect from that premise, but with the exception of Scarecrow's pet bird and King Shark's pet shark having gay crushes on each other
