When I was a kid, I had this Barbie game where you would make outfits, and then you could print them out on fabric paper and actually make them for your dolls. I am excited to say, that I was able to install it on my computer! I really wish they would remaster all the old Barbie games. And even, make a new fashion one where you could make clothes for all the different body shapes and also the Kens.
#this has been an SPL post#Barbie#the problem is that printer ink is expensive as helll#I might just print the outlines and like cut out patterned fabric? idk we’ll see#barbie cool looks fashion designer

Love you all until you can’t stand it. Take care. 💖
Barbie sets up her vanity on the desk. She opens the little plastic doors on the mirror to reveal the built-in lights before bending over to plug it in. You’re amused at her efforts as she reaches around the legs in search of a socket.
You’re so excited. You’ve been counting down the days since your best friend came up with the idea. She found the ad online and forwarded it to you. It was almost too good to be true. You came together to meet the building manager, Jonathan, and he showed you all around. You can’t believe you both snagged a room.
Barbie stands and pushes a button on the base of the mirror. She fiddles with her phone and there’s a chiming noise. Music starts to play from the speakers behind the vanity. Nifty.
She lifts her makeup chest onto the desk and unrolls her collection of brushes and other tools. Her passion is admirable. You guess that’s why you are friends; she doesn’t shy away from what she loves. For her, it’s cosmetics, for you, it’s clothes.
Lulu watches her as she hovers around the door. The girl hasn’t stopped moving since you go there. She’s like a hummingbird, always fluttering. She has this nervous laugh that seems to escape her without notice.
“What are you taking, Lu?” You ask, hoping to distract her from her nerves.
“Oh, uh, mathematics.”
“Math? Wow.”
“I’m not much for numbers but I have to do accounting courses if I want my business degree,” Barbie snips as she sorts through her makeup pads.
“Business? That’s cool. What about you, Polly?” Lulu sways and tucks her hands behind her back.
“Interior design. My mom forbade me from going into fashion but I convinced her to let me do this instead,” you explain. “It’s good money and I can still sew on the side, I guess.”
“That’s interesting. I don’t know much about fashion. Vogue or whatever,” she tentatively peeks over at Barbie. “You have so much makeup.”
“I’m a collector,” Barbie trills. “You want me to do you up? I don’t mind and I’m religious about cleaning my stuff.”
“Oh, uh, you don’t have to,” Lulu waves her hands.
“I don’t have to but I want to,” Barbie insists.
“It’s her hobby,” you say, “just don’t let her get you with the glitter.”
Lulu shrugs, “okay, nothing too heavy. I have sensitive skin.”
“Oh, you don’t need much,” Barbie assures her, “your eyes are the perfect shape.”
You hide a yawn as your leg bounces, jiggling the whole bed with it. You lean back on the heels of your hand, bored but not unhappy. The music fills the lull as Barbie searches through her palettes.
You flinch as you hear something in the hallway. You get up as Barbie asks Lulu her opinion on lip gloss. You open the door and peek out. A girl carries and old looking suitcase down the hall, a box cradled in her other arm. You step out and she tosses the box in surprise.
“Oh, hi,” she touches her chest and catches her breath. She looks over in dread at the scattered contents of the box. “Uh... sorry. You scared me.”
“I’m sorry, I was just coming to say hi,” you go to her as she leaves her suitcase to the side and gets down to gather up her belongings. You help her, picking up a framed photo of a woman. She looks a lot like her. Maybe her mother?
“I’m Ann,” she says as she takes the frame.
“Polly,” you reply. “There’s some other girls in there,” you point over your shoulder. “You’re welcome to join us once you get your stuff down.”
“Uh, sure, maybe,” she lifts the box and stands. “Tired.”
“Right, yeah, I think everyone is. Been a long day.”
“Is everyone else already here?” She asks.
“I think. There’s two others downstairs. I guess you didn’t see them on your way in.”
“Just the boy, uh, Peter? He’s nice. He wanted to play some ping pong but my hands were full,” she backs up to grab her bag, “I’ll knock on the door if I get a chance.”
“Sure, yeah, we’d be happy to have ya. I know we were thinking of drinks so... maybe later.”
“Okay,” she nods and lets herself into the last empty room.
You go back into Barbie’s room as she bends to ply powder to Lulu’s face. “Someone here?” She asks.
“Yeah, the last girl. Ann.”
“Ann? That’s so pretty. Was she nice?” She asks.
“Oh, super nice. She seemed a bit tired but I think we all get that. I told her to stop by if she has the energy.”
“Awesome,” Barbie preens and stands back to examine Lulu.
You wade around the room restlessly. Now that everyone is here, you’re impatient. You go to the window and glance out at the yard. It’s green and lush and perfectly groomed. You touch the window. The glass feels peculiarly thick. You twist the latch between the panes and push out. Heavy, too.
As you do, you notice the figure below. Steve notices you too. The large blond man turns and peers up. You stand dumbly as you are. He raises a hand in a casual wave. You frown and pull back without returning the gesture.
“Oof, that pollen’s going to get me good,” Barbie sniffles, “honey, will you look in my bag for my claritan?”
“You’re always so dramatic,” you tease her as you tuck down your concern.
You go to Barbie’s purse and search around for the pills. You don’t want to worry her by asking about that man. If everyone’s here, shouldn’t he be headed out. Jonathan touted the new security system and he mentioned routine check-ins. You really don’t like the idea of constant surveillance, even if it’s for your own safety.
“You okay?” Barbie asks as you approach her with the box of tablets.
“Fine, fine, just... adjusting.”
“We all are,” she sets down her brush and take the medicine. “Right, Lu?”
“Oh, yeah, everything’s so new,” the girl wiggles on the chair and giggles. “And far from home.”
You give her a sympathetic smile. You can’t even imagine what it’s like to be in a whole different country. The more you think about it, the more your own homesickness mounts. Your family isn’t the best but you can’t help but miss them just a little bit.
You put the portrait on the empty desk next to the box. You’re too exhausted to unpack. You drag your feet and sit on the bed. There’s a tidy stack of folded sheets on top, next to a card. Strange.
You reach for the envelope and tear it open. Inside, you read the little welcome; ‘Consider this a housewarming. Please don’t hesitate to call should you have any issues with your housing. Jonathan Pine.’ Under his name, he’s written the number you already have in your phone. You lower it to your lap and something slides out of the envelope.
You bend forward to take the gift card from the floor. Huh. That’s a bit too generous. A gift card to the local mall. You wouldn’t spit in the face of kindness but this all seems a bit much, especially after staying so long with Marla.
You put it all back in the envelope and lay sideways on the bed, legs still over the edge. You were so happy to get a room there; clean, affordable, great location. Not that you’re there, you’re overwhelmed by it all. All these pretty girls, younger yet well ahead of you.
It won’t do to get hung up on age or time or whatever. You should at least try to make friends. They seem lovely so far. Besides, you didn’t just miss out on classes for all those years you took off, no, you lost out on the social scene.
You huff and push yourself up. Better be a human and go and meet your roommates. The long you wait, the more awkward it’ll be. Besides, you’re done with being left behind.
You peek out into the hall before you emerge. You step out and shut the door gently. You cross the white carpet with blue roses and knock on the same door that girl Polly came out of. The moment your knuckles hit the wood, a brew of nerves begins in your stomach.
It doesn’t take long for an answer. It’s almost like Polly’s waiting for you on the other side. You smile and give an awkward wave. Why did you do that?
“Hey, offer stand?” You ask.
“Oh, hi! Yes, come on in and meet everyone,” she steps back. You poke your head in before the rest of you and push your shoulders up, “hi, I’m Ann.”
“Barbie,” the one standing up introduces, her focus on the other as she draws on her eyelids with liner. “This is Lulu. She’s an exchange student.”
“Hi,” Lulu squeaks then giggles as she keeps her eyes closed.
“Stay still,” Barbie tuts. She gets an apology and another tinkling laugh.
“It’s just the three of you?” Ann asks. “And Peter?”
“And Molly,” Barbie answers as she pulls back and caps the liner. “Quiet but sweet.” She sucks her teeth as she looks over Lulu. “We’ll do your mascara and gloss and then we’ll go do some driiiiinks.” She shimmies as she sings the last words.
“I brought vodka if you wanna share,” Polly offers, “Barbie only drinks tequila.”
“Can’t go wrong with a margarita,” Barbie counters.
“I’ve never drank,” Lulu says. “My mom never let it in the house.”
“Oh my god! Alright, well, we’ll make sure to give you a starter drink,” Barbie chirps.
“Vodka’s fine, thanks,” you say to Polly. You look around and take in the large makeup chest with its many shelves and the roll of brushes in all sizes.
“Barbie’s really into cosmetics. We go on dates to Sephora.”
“They know me by name,” Barbie brags.
“Mm,” you nod and clasp your hands together. You don’t know what to say. “So, uh, super nice building huh?”
“Oh, it’s fucking perfect,” Barbie says. “I lived on campus last year and the showers were always clogged with hair. Ew.”
“Hah, yeah, well, just wait a couple months,” Polly scoffs.
“Mm, and there’s good security,” you suggest as you drag your hand up your arm, “I met that guy on the way in. Steve.”
“Ah, yes, he’s nice,” Barbie says.
Polly hums and her lips thin as she glances at the window. Lulu giggles again but doesn’t add anything.
“And Jonathan is a sweetheart. That accent, too,” Barbie laughs.
“Oh, uh, yeah, he’s nice.”
“Sy is... nice too,” Lulu says. “The gardener.”
“Honey, I need to do your lips,” Barbie chides.
“Sorry,” Lulu stills and lets the other girl paint her with pink gloss.
“There’s a gardener?” You ask as you share a look with Polly.
“Done,” Barbie announces and stand straight.
Lulu looks at herself in the mirror and bats her lashes, “oh my god, it’s awesome! Wow! I don’t even look like me!”
“You do. I just highlighted your beauty,” Barbie assures her. “Ann, how about it? You want a glow up?”
“Uh, no, that’s fine. Lulu, you said there’s a gardener?”
“Of course,” Barbie shrugs, “I mean, look at the yard. I’m not trimming the hedges, are you?”
“Yeah, he’s a big guy. Super helpful. The other day, I got locked out by accidents. Oh, you gotta be careful with the front door.”
“Right,” you squint. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
“We got all year to complain about the house, guys, let’s go get the others and get the party started,” Barbie whines as she looks around and flits over to a Louis Vuitton bag, “let me just get my tequila. Pol, go get your bottle and we’ll ball out.”
You force a smile but it’s not entirely fake. You’re excited. You’re finally getting started on your life after dwelling so long on the end of it. You just wish your mom was here to see it. You wish you could call her so she could tell you she’s proud.
She would be, wouldn’t she?

𝜗𝜚 ... CHOUKA AIKAWA AND A PINK CARPET ... MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN !
After her massive debut this year, of course everyone's favorite Barbie had to pull up to FicFest! So, how was Chouka's experience at the event of the year?
SHE'S FASHION'S FAVORITE B*TCH ... !
Of course, Chouka had to wear pink on a pink carpet. This is Chouka we're talking about. Being the industry's resident fashion expert and girly girl, she stunned in three archive pieces in one night. Her pink carpet look was Jean Louis Scherrer S/S 1988, gloves and all. Her presentation look was Guy Laroche S/S 1991, and her after-party look was Versace F/W 1991. Despite being a Dior ambassador, Chouka refuses to chain herself to the brand. We love that for her!
Seven years in the game and still, no one knows how Chouka manages to source her looks, but she's Chouka Aikawa. It's self-explanatory at this point.
FROM LEFT TO RIGHT ! ... Jean Louis Scherrer S/S '88, Guy Laroche S/S '91, Versace F/W '91
Bringing Chouka's look together was her ever impeccable hair and makeup, the makeup of which was done by Chouka herself. She was praised for days by the press and netizens alike, with many comparing her to a princess and, of course, a Barbie. High fashion Twitter couldn't get enough of her, but what's new?
BUT WHAT ABOUT HER PERFORMANCE ... !
Gagged me. Gagged you. Gagged your mother. Gagged your mother's second cousin. Gagged your dog. Chouka gagged everyone with this performance, girl!
Now, what she performed wasn't a new song by any means. "Silk 'N Diamonds" was already on Sincerely. However, it was unfortunately regulated to a deep cut and rarely performed live, and damn, weren't Rosettes mad! So, when Chouka decided to finally give everyone what they'd been waiting for at FicFest, her fans couldn't have been happier.
Everything from the stage design, to her costume, to her hair (she was wearing a tiara, by the way!) was praised to hell and back, because of course it was. But, you'll have to watch it yourself! Which you can see...
HERE ... !
HER BEST MOMENTS ... !
001. A CHAT WITH CLÉO! (@hausofanya)
One of the interviewers on FicFest's pink carpet was Stray Kids' Cléo Torell, whom Chouka definitely had to chat with! From the three things she couldn't live without (hint: it's definitely her closet) to the fact that she couldn't shut up about her newlywedded husband Jason (justified, honestly), it was quite the interesting interview. You can read all of it here!
002. CUTEST COUPLE AT FICFEST!
Oh my God, Jason and Chouka were the cutest thing ever that night. From giggling and publicly flirting during a joint interview to Jason being the first one to give his wife a standing ovation, they said to hell with netizens and were as lovey-dovey as possible. But the best part? Jason pulling Chouka into both a kiss and a hug after her performance. Needless to say, Rosettes in the crowd went batshit. Get yourself a man like Jason Day-Fujiwara, y'all.
003. "YES, I LIKED THE PERFORMANCES. NO, I DON'T HATE ANYONE."
Chouka is known for her resting bitch face, as seen with all the shots of her in the front rows of Parisian fashion shows. And of course, her RBF was on full display during FicFest. But, that doesn't mean she hated being there! However, there were some people (read: Twitter users) that... didn't like how she looked during some of their faves' performances. It got to the point where after the ceremony, an interviewer asked Chouka if she liked the performances from her fellow idols. Her response? "Yes, I liked the performances. No, I don't hate anyone."
Chouka had to tack on a couple more words, of course, saying, "Well, I do strongly dislike some people, but I don't need to name names right now. Regardless, cool it with the misogyny."
An icon as always.
004. TWO PRETTY GIRLS PRESENTING!
Chouka had the pleasure of presenting "Most Visually Pleasing Lineup" during the ceremony, alongside the second gen visual herself, Park Ah-reum of DI-VERSE (famously known as Ahri). The duo to end all duos, the fact that they were paired together was a hot topic all down the timeline. On Chouka's end, everything about her while on that stage was a talking point. From the fact that she changed her dress to her professional attitude to even her voice (her accent is always a favorite), Chouka Aikawa was definitely one of FicFest's "It" girls. But, that's not surprising in the slightest.
THE AFTER-PARTY ... !
Following the ceremony, Chouka invited everyone she knew to her very pink penthouse apartment in Hannam the Hill for Chouka's Very Pink Afterparty! Complete with rosé champagne and other pink cocktails, hors d'oeuvres in various shades of, well... pink, and even a photobooth (in, you guessed it, pink), this afterparty is one of the hottest on the block! Like a cross between a high-end cocktail party and the cutest tea party ever, it's all you'll ever talk about!
Chouka would say "girls only," but unfortunately for her, everyone's welcome.
DO YOU 🫵🏽 WANT TO ATTEND THE PINKEST AFTERPARTY ON THE PLANET? WELL, SIMPLY SEND A DM TO THIS ACCOUNT & AN INVITE WILL BE ON YOUR WAY ... ! 𝜗𝜚

Love your Barbie-Bot design!
Hey, what if Barbie-Bot was a femme found and raised on TFA earth?
As she got older, she became a bit of a celebrity and eventually got the attention of a young Professor Sumdac who asked her to become a spokesperson/robot for his new company?
She agreed, and because of that her fame skyrocketed. Her image was nearly everywhere thanks to Sumdac Systems.
While mostly advertising domestic robots and inventions made by the company Barbie-Bot also inspired lines of cars, accessories, jewelry, clothes, and toys! Especially toys that were in her image and were most girls' favorite for the next century.
She does love it, the fashion, the fame, the happy faces that humans get when seeing her, but she often wondered where she came from. An answer she soon gets with the arrival of Optimus and his Team.
How do they react to this famous femme raised on Earth?
For simplicities sake, we'll call Barbie-bot Milliesecond, or Mille for short, as suggested by @curespectra.
-Optimus has a lot of respect for Millie. She's a professional businesswoman and the face of the most influential company on Earth. She's built a career, a life, on this alien planet. He doubts just anyone could achieve that. Kinda looks up to and admires her for her confidence.
-Ratchet thinks Millie is a naive but genuinely good person. She's ignorant of her cybertronian heritage, which admittedly isn't her fault, and Ratchet often has to remind himself this whenever he gets frustrated. Actually very patient with her and carefully explains things.
-Oh, Bumblebee wishes he had what Millie has. She's famous, successful, rich, confident, pretty, loved by millions. She's even got her own action figures. Like, she's got it all! Envies the way she doesn't even have to try to get everyone to like her. Also has a massive crush on her.
-Bulkhead thinks Milliesecond is so cool. She's a businesswoman, she's a celebrity, she's super nice and probably the prettiest bot he's ever seen. Just in awe of her story, how she rose from nothing into becoming such an icon.
-While yes, Prowl finds Millie's rise to fame and success to be inspiring and intriguing, he's more interested in how she got to Earth in the first place. Just how did her protoform get here? Starts investigating her past, knowing that if he figures out the truth, he might be able to give her some peace of mind.

*Note: This post isn't about if this Ken in the Barbie movie is going to be queer but that he is inspired by a Ken doll that "accidently" became a queer icon. Ryan Gosling's Ken in Barbie(2023) is based on the famous best selling Ken doll, Earring Magic Ken, also know as Fey Ken or Gay Ken.
"Mattel had conducted a survey of girls asking if Ken should be retained as Barbie's boyfriend or whether a new doll should be introduced in that role. Survey results indicated that girls wanted Ken kept but wanted him to look "cooler". USA Today noted after the American International Toy Fair that the doll Soul Train Jamal was also wearing an earring that year. According to manager of marketing communications for Mattel, Lisa McKendall, "We tried to keep [Ken] as cool as possible." This generation of the Ken doll had blond highlights in his traditionally brown hair and was dressed in a lavender mesh shirt, purple pleather vest, a necklace with a circular charm and, as the name indicates, an earring in his left ear.
These clothing choices led to gay commentator Dan Savage joking that Mattel toy designers had "spent a weekend in LA or New York dashing from rave to rave, taking notes and Polaroids." He also suggested that little girls' idea of coolness was shaped by homoerotic MTV music videos, Madonna's dancers, and what ACT UP/Queer Nation members were wearing to demonstrations and parties. Donna Gibbs told the San Francisco Examiner in November 1993 that the team of (presumably straight) women who made the doll were surprised that gay men wanted him.
[...]
In July 1993, Dan Savage wrote an article on Earring Magic Ken titled, "Ken Comes Out." He noted in his article that, in addition to his outfit's perceived flamboyance, his necklace resembled chrome sex toys that queer people were wearing as charms at the time. Savage expressed feelings of ambivalence about Ken's new style, writing, "Queer Ken is the high water mark of, depending on your point of view, either queer infiltration of popular culture or the thoughtless appropriation of queer culture by heterosexuals [. . .] Queer imagery has so permeated our culture that from rock stars (Axl Rose and his leather chaps) to toy designers, mainstream America isn’t even aware when it’s adopting queer fashions and mores."
[...]
Kitsch-minded gay men responded to this press by buying the doll in record numbers, making Earring Magic Ken the best-selling Ken model in Mattel's history. The doll debuted in stores for around $11 (equivalent to $20.63 in 2021) and had completely sold out by the Christmas season, largely due to gay men buying the doll in droves. Due to high demand, Chicago's FAO Schwartz created a wait list, and, allegedly, some shops in San Francisco began to sell Earring Magic Ken for prices ranging between $17 (equivalent to $31.89 in 2021) to $24 (equivalent to $45.02 in 2021). (The latter claim was disputed in the Bay Area Reporter in October 1993 by the general manager of San Francisco FAO Schwartz. According to him, only a few gay men were coming into his store, and Earring Magic Ken was selling better in New York and Chicago than San Francisco.) Earring Magic Ken was also popular with gay men in the United Kingdom, and sold well at the toy shop Hamleys in 1993. Toy scalper Mr. Barger told the Wall Street Journal in 1996 that Earring Magic Ken was so popular that he was able to re-sell him to specialty shops at premium prices. Richard Roeper, writing for the Chicago Sun Times, referred to him as "The Cabbage Patch Doll of the summer of '93."
A major appeal of the doll for many gay men was that Mattel did not market it to them on purpose. Rick Garcia, director of Chicago's Catholic Advocates for Lesbian and Gay Rights, told People magazine in 1993 that the stereotypical dress was funny to him because he believed it was an accident, and that it would have offended him if it was purposeful. In 1993, many newspapers interviewed individual gay men in California to understand the phenomenon. San Francisco resident described Earring Magic Ken as, "a pariah setting foot in one of America's sanctuaries." Another California resident, Bill Harley, described Earring Magic Ken as, "A campy, funny thing to have." Laguna Beach resident Keith Clark-Epley had more reservations about the toy, saying that, "It's an uptight heterosexual male doll following gay fashion and who is still behind the times," and believed that calling the doll gay could potentially reinforce negative stereotypes about gay people." WE WANT MORE OF SPIDER-BARBIE READER WITH SPIDER-NOIR! 💖🖤
So, if you're okay with that, I'd like to request a scenario where Spider-Noir witnesses reader Spider-Barbie fight one of the Kingpins' allies (one of them ruined her Malibu designer bag) and clearly our Barbie got mad at him and fought over her bag (and she won). Meanwhile Spider-Noir could only watch from a distance totally impressed with her.
"I'm so in love with her." .- Noir said aloud while the others looked surprised at the scene.
Crystal 💞✨
HELLOOOO I'M GLAD YOU LIKED ITTT man, this is really random, but i fr wanna see barbie spidersonas more ngl 😭😭😭ESPECIALLY ONE IN THIS SITUATION, SHE'D BE SO COOL i hope you like this one :DDD
(reblogs are greatly appreciated, it helps get my content out there! if you guys like what you see, please reblog it too <:D)
he just loves a killer woman.
summary: oh, they had done it. you can try squashing spider barbie under your foot, but she'll always crawl back up; but try ruining her designer malibu barbie bag? yeah, you're not lasting another second with her. word count: 434
oh, did that really just happen? did kingpin's meatheaded, buffoon of a goon really just do that? a rip resounded through the air as spider barbie watched in horror at how her lovely designer malibu barbie bag was just... just torn into pieces in front of her. noir watched the whole thing unfold as he knocked out one of them just earlier with his bare fists and slamming a random car into them with his webs, his eyes widening as spider barbie stared at the remains of her beloved designer handbag.
her expression was unreadable from her generally expressive mask, noir couldn't see her eyes as she stared at the now torn apart bag. "...my creator gave me that..." she muttered as she tore her gaze from the bag and directed it to the goon, who was now glowering over her and chuckled to themselves. "what? gonna cry about it? oh, boo-hoo, barbie's lost an accessory--grow up, ya pest of a little girl." they taunted her as they grabbed a stray stop sign to slam into her with, and before noir or the goon could do anything, spider barbie threw the first punch at the goon's abdomen that was left wide open.
from there, all of spider barbie's rage--from not just the destruction of the one thing that reminded her of the woman who created her and taught her what it meant to be herself--but from all the pent up frustrations and anger she's harbored for the longest time over all kinds of things came pouring out as she swung here and there to throw hands with this ignorant buffoon who dares condescend spider barbie.
"this is for my friends," whack! "this is for calling me a 'pest of a little girl'," bam! "and this, is for my designer malibu barbie bag, YOU CRETIN!" SLAM!
it was undeniable, spider barbie could kick ass. and as noir watched from the sidelines, admiring how proper and prim spider barbie still was as she fought--not to mention, incredibly fashionable and eye-catching while she kicked that goon's ass through and through--he could feel... a difference in his heart, a stronger palpitation in his heartbeat. he felt a warmth in his face as he found himself smiling a little as he watched her go.
'gee... what a woman, what a woman, what a woman.' he thought to himself as spider barbie subdued the goon and stood on top of them as she looked down at noir, taking off her mask, and smiling proudly at how she defeated this guy with the power of her sheer rage and awesome barbieness.

Gushing about animol crossing lil guys (gn) token. Expires never.
Hello Will I kinda really love you for this, you sweet sweet blue boy you 🥺💙
Say hello to the Hope World family 🌈
Deets and Pics bellow (very long):
Coco and Lily
My two favourites! Will get along with literally everyone 🥹
Coco is forever my number one spookie cookie bunny, but Lily is a close second - the sweetest froggy you'll ever meet!!! They are both incredibly sweet, and in my island lore they are besties 🥺🐰🐸
Their houses are next to one other, and often share books, baking tips, and whatever knitting project their working on! They hang out with Zucker a lot 🐙
Elvis
My cranky old man 🥹 Out of all of them, he's the least popular in the fandom 😔
Has been with me the longest - was my very first campsite villager, and has since settled well! He may be old, but likes to learn new slang from the youngins. Has the coolest study/library ever.
Zucker
It him!! My precious takoyaki baby boy!!!
He always has a silly outfit on - the pineapple hat was a MUST. Loves to snack, play games, and hang by the beach. A silly cutie patootie 🥹🐙
Marshall
Look at him!!! He so small and sassy 🥺
Marshall is the fashionista / coffee snob of our island. Literally lives off caffeine and compliments. Likes to visit Elvis and be Fancy™ for a little bit hehe. Great friends with Francine. Smol and Angy hehehe 🐿️
Bob and Chrissy
MARRIED. They are MARRIED and IN LOVE - 3 year anniversary coming up soon!!! 💜🩷
Bob is the coolest (and only) cat in the whole island. Chrissy was totally smitten with him hehe. He's also a silly boy who is a bit of a gamer - has a super cool set up. A literal textbook himbo 🤭
Chrissy is Francine's twin. They were popstars in their youth (listen to K. K. Bubblegum), and currently she's the only one still in the entertainment businesses. Always dresses fancy - pink and glittery and so so cute 💖. Sings all the time, also the most extroverted of the bunch.
Francine and Fuchsia
The Cool Girlfriends™ - kinda intimidating at first, but very friendly 💙💖
Francine is Chrissie's twin. Unlike her super chirpy sister, Francine is a bit more elegant and reserved. She now works as a designer - the spotlight was made for her Chrissy, not her. Best friend's with Marshall - The Fashion Duo ever (WILL judge your fashion choices) 💅 ✨
Fuchsia is our resident punk barbie deer. Dresses mostly in black and band merch - we talk a lot about bands and stuff. Very sensible and kind, always there for you if you need to vent. A true punk princess, Avril Lavigne wishes she was her 🖤
Genji
Our newest resident! Moved in last week after Pietro left. He's still getting to know everyone, but so far is getting along super well with Bob - he and Zucker often have game nights and Genji loves it (Elvis is too old to stay up so late, and Marshall prefers to go drink with the girlies).
Genji is a total gym rat but not obnoxious at all - he's just super active. He and Fuchsia will work out together sometimes 🏋️
-> Old family photo from when Pietro (clown sheep) was still in Hope World - taken during my birthday sleepover. You can see Fuchsia in her Sleep Token shirt 🥹
Bonus family photo but Silly™
If you read this far, have a little snack -> cherry pie, a Hope World specialty! 🍒🥧
#animal crossing rant over#i have so much Lore and Stories with them hehehe#Francine dated K K Slider for a while there but it was soon over. he's too much of a diva#also he and Label have a super toxic on and off relationship and she did NOT want to get in between that#i actually started to write a acnh fanfic but never posted it. maybe it's time i finish it#also Lily and Marshall are super good friends. and Coco and Elvis too#so sometimes the four of them hang out. Coco and Elvis will gab on about books while Lily and Marshall like to chat about whatever#she once made him a knitted scarf and beanie set and it's his favourite ever 🥺#(i realise i give them a lot of stories and stuff but. it makes the game much more interesting to me)#thank you for the token hehehe. smooching your forehead muwah muwah muwah#darya answers#animal crossing#acnh

Thought I'd take a break from fandom and post one of my original designs for once! I call this gal "Hayley," after the lead singer of Paramore. She was originally a Barbie Fashionista #140 "Kira" doll (before photo is a stock photo from Amazon).
If you're like me and like knowing the components of a custom and the story behind them, here they are under the cut:
Base doll: Fashionista 140 Kira Hair: rerooted in 12 inch Kanekalon in a blend of pink, purple, light green, and blue Face: partially repainted with acrylic paint for both makeup and piercings Clothes: skirt from Looks Model 10, sweater from Ken Fashionista 191, stockings made from scrap fabric by me Shoes: her original boots, repainted Necklace: an actual random necklace I had
Ever had a design go from least favorite to one of your favorites with a makeover? Fashionista 140 Kira sat in my "stock box" for a long time...the awful proportions, the ugly dress, the glue seepage hair, the pixilated face screening that couldn't even be removed with acetone...I disliked her so much that I ended up using her as a test dummy for different paints and sealants! Likewise, I ended up with some kanekalon hair that had a truly fried texture that I needed to use up.
So, I needed a design that could hide a LOT of issues with the doll and the materials. One that could involve hair that looked bleach-fried, a hair style that could cover holes and bald patches, grungy/messy makeup, and random questionably-fitting fashion. Then, I remembered the mid-2000s, and with it, scene fashion! Or is it emo? Alas, in high school I was not cool/uncool (depending on your POV) to ever be informed of the difference no matter how much I admired the fashion.
Thus, this girl emerged! I'm so happy with how she turned out; she really went from one of my least favorite designs to one of my favorite original designs of my own.
Tagging those that may want to see my OC designs: @serenityspiral @violetoftheendless (who helped with the name!) and @tryan-a-bex

I am not happy about the new toothless design. I am going to call him dorkless. Because what the fuck is this.
He looks like a flat-skinned scaleless thing. I don't care if the lighting can make him look prettier. He still looks like some scaleless, elephantine, flat-faced something.
I'm supposed to be comparing these two and I'm sorry. The fucking cartoon looks more realistic than whatever the hell that thing is.
There is something wrong here.
Yes toothless has realistic skin or whatever. Yes he's got defined muscles or something. But in this weird fashion. Toothless looks two cartoony for this realistic movie.
And it's not that I'm wigging out about the fact that just toothless looks weird. Or that the other dragons probably look just as weird. I think the other dragons actually have redesigns!!
These pictures are of course very blurry and hard to read. Mostly because this entire scene goes by so fucking fast. But these are images of what I believe are a Monstrous Nightmare, Nadder, Terrible Terror, and Zippleback. And all of these designs look new.
The Monstrous Nightmare doesn't have ridiculously skinny proportions. The Nadder looks a bit more parrot-like. The Terrible Terror I barely recognized. And the Zippleback definitely has a much different and more defined face. It's not like they couldn't go through the effort.
Toothless's design is already the most realistic out of the cartoon depictions. But it is still a cartoon depiction. Parts of his body are supposed to be made to be stretched and squished. His face is a cartoonistic over expression fest. And yet I feel like they did nothing to the previous model. It feels like a copy and paste.
Like they clearly done something but it's just not enough something. Removing away a cartoonistic way of walking doesn't make a design anymore or less cartoonistic. Not only does it feel like they removed half of what made toothless look like toothless. Which for me is his back spikes and his emotive "ears". They seem to have sticked so close to the original model that it looks off in some scenes.
There are certain steps for realistic stuff that can be taken. But I feel like they've taken the steps wrong for toothless. Especially if the other dragons are redesigned. Toothless is going to actually look out of place among the others. Which while toothless was already somewhat out of place. He wasn't out of place design wise and that's going to be bad If he is here.
In my honest opinion they need to redo the scales on his face. They are far too small. It is not impossible to have different sizes of scales across the same area. It also feels like there's some weird issue between the eye and the eyelid. They are merging together far too much. Also where the hell are his little hanging doohickeys everywhere? Not only does it feel like some of his little ear things are diminished. But his back spikes, his arm spikes, hell even his tail spikes seem to either be completely gone or reduced to a point where you can't see them. I don't care how unrealistic they are. That made up so much of toothless's personality being even able to emote with his back. Toothless looks too Barbie flat right now.
I really hate that they've settled on this weird... Scientifically more realistic, but still as emotive as a cartoon creature. Those two facts don't mix together. It leads into the uncanny valley and that's a bad place to stoop to if that's not what you're planning to do. You can't have your squatch and stretch face and yet remove all the cartoonistic qualities from the body.
I really hope we're not stuck with this toothless because the other dragons designs do look really cool. They look like a realistic redesign. And it's just toothless that looks off. I hope they can quickly throw together a new model and have the same rig. I can handle a cartoonistic face if he can get his cartoonistic traits back. Otherwise please go back. And maybe take a note from How to train your Dragon live spectacular. Which did a realistic toothless.
And even if my every definition this is a fucking puppet instead of CGI or whatever. These creative directors went through the process of trying to think what a realistic toothless would actually look like. And they don't remove any of the features that make toothless feel like toothless. So I really hope they take some notes from this spectacular's page.
Because dear God. This is not the same emotion.

Hackers 1995:
The computer nerdery is terrible (do watch Halt and Catch Fire if you want a history of computers) however the film does start out with social engineering and blind folder browsing using common passwords before it devolves into throwing viruses at a private server to 'overload' it.
The costuming is impeccable early 90s : well-off rebellious girl in rip curl, genderbending grunge, stretch tees for your futuristic cool guys.
Missing the heap of badly rigged computer junk that makes the room overheat and puts wires everywhere. Also missing in action : scraggly facial hair, terrible posture, the huge levels of racism and homophobia (yep, even coded into the programs).
You all were wrong about Matthew Lilliard as Cereal Killer being transfem... that was gangly white boy with postpunk swag in the 90s. There's a cartoon-cat-girl wearing phone hacker in high-waisted-trousers, leopard print and dancer's body language right there. Wild how the codes changed in the mid 90s, like how Barbie's Ken was sporty and bold then seemingly overnight he was gay if he wore a dash of colour with his suit.
The story and pacing weren't bad, the bad guy had period accurate pickup artist clothes and general vibe. The stakes weren't too silly.
It definitely has the pre-2001 optimism that permeated the web before the patriot act and y2k bug conspiracies. I miss that, a sweet spot between cyberpunk, cheap geek jokes and the hackers-as-villains trend.
It's just fun. Lilliard gets the best comedic lines, Miller is doe eyed and baby faced, Jolie gets to kick off her streak of strong female leads with an adorable pixie cut and lots of sporty ocean blues. Nikon appears late, Phreak and Joey are in jail half the movie so they get less attention which is a shame, I really liked their characters.
Highly recommend watching with the pause and rewind button to look at background costume and set designs for the club. Pretty camp, getting camper with time. The type of film to rewatch with company and quote at eachother.
This film was tailor-made for teen me: it would have landed perfectly: the music is spot on, the tech, the fashion, the sense of community and fun.

I do collect Barbies! This genuinely isn’t me trying to brag or sound arrogant, but all of my 59 Barbies I currently have are collector/special/limited edition. I like them not because of their status, but because their clothing/quality was so well done. They’re from the late 90s to 2000s.
I’m not gonna list them all of course, but I think you’ll like these as a lot listed are historical/time period inspired outfits. Let me know though if you have different/more style preferences and I’ll try to find some to share with you again.
Barbie Cafe Society
Barbie Faberge Porcelain (3 in series)
Barbie Great Fashions of the 20th Century (7 in series)
Barbie Hollywood Movie Star (6 in series)
Barbie Mrs. P.F.E. Albee: Avon (2 in series)
Barbie Royal Jewels (4 in series)
Barbie Victorian Tea Porcelain (2 in series)
Barbie Victorian with Cedric Bear
Barbie Wedgwood (2 in series)
The website I used when collecting is https://barbieguide.sosugary.com/index.php
It’s a great catalog of Barbie releases. You’ll find a lot more historical inspired dolls on there, and Barbie makes excellent porcelain dolls too that I think you’ll like.
And tips if you’re interested in fashion doll collecting…
Don’t buy newer collector/special/limited edition dolls from Mattel. They’re worse quality for outrageously more money. Trust me on this. (A lot of my collector Barbies I was able to get for $30-$40 USD new in box, compared to the $100+ USD price tag Mattel charges now for collector dolls).
Mattel has been declining in quality ever since 2016 (probably earlier) and is still going lower present day. So if you’re interested in good quality play-line or collector dolls, try to get pre 2016.
Mattel dolls most of the time have polypropylene hair, which is considered the worst hair quality fiber as it literally disintegrates over a few years and isn’t easily brushsble/stylable.
Mattel also gives most of their dolls cheap paper-like printed clothing or molded on clothes.
If you want quality, buy MGA. They have nylon hair (easily brushsble, stylable, and won’t disintegrate). Much higher quality clothes/fabrics with intricate details and complex designs.
Mattel=Quantity
MGA=Quality
Thank you for your time!
That's cool to hear :))) it's nice to find someone that shares the interest of dolls, even if it's a different kind! Although I learned a lot, thank you♡ I'll check out the older styled ones!!
I'm not very interested in fashion dolls (apart from those from the 1800s) so unfortunately I'm sticking to my child looking dolls, which is why I kind of like the American girl dolls that are supposed to look like 1900s/1800s
I'm going to take this opportunity to brag about my girls as if they were my children. Here are my some of my older dolls<3
Just like you say about Barbies, these dolls also have limited editions (such as the discontinued one with a very, very uncanny voice box from the 1880s) unfortunately, I don't have any of them. BUT, I do have two from the most famous doll makers, Kestner and Armand Marseille<3 Always have to look for the markings that tell exactly which model they are
And I have one special girl who I call Darling who has human hair!!
And I just have to squeeze this in, when I was in Belfast I got to see a doll I have been such a big fan of for so many years. It's a doll that was floating around in the wreckage and actually seeing her up close in real life made me tear up in pure happiness. She was absolutely stunning, and I think she might (just might) be a similar model to my doll with the red boots, but i could get a good luck of her neck to see the "tag". Here she is!!
I just had to, dolls are one of my biggest interest and i have to take every chance i get♡

Ok so, since I keep seeing no one talk abt her uh… don’t mind me, I’mma just rant abt Cherri bomb and stuff bc why not >:]
Cherri Bomb imo, should’ve had A LOT more to her design and I mean A LOT
Now although Cherri’s design is not as bad as the others (well her Design is decent ‘ish but just rarely), ever since I first saw her design I always felt underwhelmed by her design especially now.
There isn’t really much to say other than the usual colors blend in problem and such
But imo I find this redesign to be quite lazy because this literally just her design in the Addict Video, and I just wonder, why? Could viv not think of anything creative when redesigning her after the addict video? I ask bc there is literally so many ways viv could’ve made Cherri’s design to look very cool and unique! Like yea, I know this is viv who we’re talking Abt and her creativity can only go oh so far BUT STILL!!!
“But Kat! What could viv add/change Cherri’s design to make her more ‘unique’?? After all you can’t change perfection-“
DON’T. TEST ME.
Like I said there are literally MANY GODDAMN WAYS viv could’ve made her design more unique! Infact, I can literally share some ideas I have / things that would’ve made her design better
1. Literally changing her Outfit.
Like do I even have to explain????? Her outfit is absolutely hideous and imo doesn’t suit her like AT ALL. Her Outfit is literally a bunch of ripped clothes with the most atrocious colors I’ve ever seen. Her outfit would’ve honestly been more cooler if she had Punk attire! It would Honestly fit with her personality really well! Like REALLY REALLY well! And if viv doesn’t know how to design characters with punk attire then there are LITERALLY endless amounts of references of punk outfits that viv could use when she was designing Cherri and these images are not just any references of punk fashion but rather punk fashion that was LITERALLY FROM THE 1980S!!! Y’know, THE ERA SHE DIED IN??
HECK, THIS OLD REDESIGN I DID OF CHERRI (that I plan on updating after I finish making this post with a bunch of other redesigns I’m doing) CAN LITERALLY BE AN EXAMPLE ON HOW PUNK CAN FIT CHERRI’S PERSONALITY REALLY WELL!!
LITERALLY THESE ALT OUTFITS SHE WORE IN HER LONG GONE INSTA ACCOUNT ARE ALSO GREAT EXAMPLES OF THAT TOO!
If viv used one of these outfits as her main one that would’ve been fine too! Like yea I would at first question why viv chose one of these outfits but other than that I wouldn’t be as pissy as I am with what we got bc it fits her character.
2. Make her have doll elements or som idk
Ok. I know what y’all are gonna say.
“Kat. Why do you want Cherri Bomb to be a doll? Velvet’s literally right here.”
Uh huh, I know that but like hear me out on this
I feel like Cherri being a literal doll could honestly work imo! Heck, if Cherri was a doll, the weird anatomy she has can literally go in viv’s favor! Since dolls most of the time don’t really have realistic bodies, like literally look at this thing if ya don’t believe me
But jokes aside, I do genuinely think it would be an awesome idea! I mean there are literally many dolls out there (even dolls from her era too), that viv can use as references if Cherri was gonna be a doll too! Cherri can literally be a punk rebellious version of Barbie for all I care (I mean like cmon are you gonna tell me that wouldn’t be so cool?)
She doesn’t even have to be specifically a doll either if viv didn’t want make her one, she can literally be an action figure too! (Unfortunately I can’t show anymore images bc I’m a the limit for adding photos in one post but hopefully you get idea)
3. GIVE HER A DIFFERENT FUCKING COLOR PALETTE FOR FUCKS SAKES!!11!1!
Blah blah blah Cherri’s palette as mentioned before in this post sucks!
But the thing that bugs me most in her color palette is literally the gradients in Cherri’s hair
Like every time I saw Cherri pop on screen in the hh pilot (and I do apologize if I sound dumb), the gradients on her hair would change ALOT to the point it kinda felt inconsistent…
The only time the gradients in Cherri’s hair felt consistent was in the addict video but that was only bc viv had to LITERALLY SIMPLIZE her hair so the animators wouldn’t have an hard time animating her god damn hair (kinda wished she did the same with the rest of the designs but oh well)
And that’s all I could think of (for now), if anything I can prob just make reblog to add on to this post, Uh Ty for reading this critical rant post thingy I have going on, I’mma go to bed it’s literally 3am for me rn at the time of making this and uh idk bye ig
#hazbin hotel#hazbin cherri bomb#hazbin hotel critical#hazbin critical#hazbin hotel criticism#vivziepop critical#spindlehorse critical#random rant#But like tbh tho the gradient for Cherri’s hair made the artist/designer part of me feel sm pain#like why????#why did you do that viv
