i will never get over this actually,, the divination cat in the imaginarium theater resembles mona in way more ways than one and it’s confirmed by wolfie that “madam mage” is barbeloth!!

it even has mona’s purple cape, only one of its’ ears pierced like hers + star motifs, has the star specifically associated with mona’s domain, and it’s the same type of cat that occasionally sits outside of her house :’) mona is often depicted as a cat as well!

Okay here's my weapon predictions for the Hexenzirkel

Rhinedottir - Catalyst, but I'm praying for pole-arm because then we could make her kill people with her son's recycled bones. How fucking cool is that.

Alice - Claymore that she doesn't even operate on her own, Kaveh style.

Nicole - Sword, but it's mixed in with a Gun, like Navia and Mika.

Barbeloth - Catalyst. Melee Catalyst.

Leaked Goth Girl - Sword or Bow, unless it was specified already.

Emilie, assuming the leaks apply - Catalyst, probably Anemo or Hydro since she works with perfumes.

this is quite interesting barbeloth and mona aren't biologically related and yet of all the master/apprentice chararacters we know, they are the closest to be matching in everything. clothes, hairstyle and even surnames (trismegistus and megistus).

also the fact that barbeloth’s nickname is barbie and she’s a bit of a fashionista is cute considering she’s implied to have helped mona pick out her outfit and hat (as well as klee’s mage outfit from the 3.8 summer event)

i also feel like this is what barbeloth has been doing for mona the day she sent her to mondstadt. mona never managed to contact her master ever since that day.... :’) barbie cares for her so much.

the “dialogue of the desert sages polearm, based on caduceus, and its relation to alchemy, astronomy, astrology, and the title trismegistus…..

which takes me back to the fact that mona and albedo and their respective mentor figures (barbeloth and rhinedottir) are intertwined even more, in some way of fate.

alchemy and astrology are complementary disciplines. sister sciences seen as the precursors to chemistry and astronomy, respectively, their practitioners also consider them arts. they posit a universe where consciousness and matter are one. alchemy relied upon astrology; astrology does not need to incorporate alchemy. (..barbdottir/rhineloth angst anyone?)

ALSO WTF IS THIS??? “the sun rules gold (warmth and glow” rhinedottir also being referred to as “gold”. “the moon rules silver (mirrors, reflectance, and light) when barbeloth literally invented hydromancy which is the ability to make divinations based on the REFLECTIONS of the stars in water??????? basically a mirror image?? i’m gonna lose my mind

also not to quote the albemona shipping wiki but:

the labs in mondstadt are geared toward alchemy which mona is more experienced in astrology and the place mona is currently living in happens to be one of those labs. it’s canonical that her and albedo regularly have lunches together with klee to discuss their research with one another (and to give mona a free meal lmao). maybe albedo could be teaching her some of his knowledge and vice versa since they’re both “truth seekers”. also when using the crafting table, both mona and albedo have similar skills when it comes to synthesizing weapon ascension materials!!

also the fact that albedo is an astronomical term and trismegistus was an alchemist is crazyyy
