Bought mum to the Foodfare at Sembawang MRT Station for an early dinner cum grocery shopping. She went off in the direction of the economy rice stall and came back with this plate of Economy Rice (菜饭) of stir-fried pork slices and herbal chicken leg.
I on the other hand noticed a new stall selling Filipino cuisine. My eyes settled on the butterflied and Boneless Bangus with Rice (S$8). The fried bangus fish is a deboned milkfish (虱目鱼) with a miserable wedge of tomato as garnish. It comes with white rice and soup plus the seller asked me to help myself to the pinkish spiced vinegar (sinamak). While it tasted alright, the fish is dry and not moist enough.

But because I can, I'm gonna talk about my original universes and the little of story that they have
I have basically 3:
"Selestia"
Magical world, inspired by space. 3 kingdoms/planets (sun, moon and stars) LOTS of characters
I have the characters and a little idea of the world building but besides that.
"Gray & Gold"
Fantasy Universe™. Probably the easiest to make a webcomic or something but I'm not a writer so I don't really have a plot besides the characters backstories. Honestly the difficult part is writing the rivals to besties idea I have in my mind for de MCs
"ParaNormal"
Not the real name. I just don't have one.
It's the biggest because it's just Normal World + Monsters and stuff. Very urban fantasy and I just put most of my characters here so it's kinda bangue in plot and Worldbuilding
Example:
Ex-Monster Hunter Vampire Dad, his Vampire Daughter, his Assassin (or smth) Friend
Goth lil witch and her friend who's the town ghost, but Gothy doesn't know
Underground mafia monsters, they're a throuple
3 guys. Living in a 'abandoned' house, probably gonna become a poly couple. One of them is a monster probably. Very Slice of life
Girl who's entering witchcraft because her sibling just die and is now a ghost with memory loss. They live in the same 'abandoned' house as the last three.
Demon Girl and her witch Wife who now run a coffee shop after having a enemies to lovers/monster hunter X monster past
A demon obcessed with the human world , her cousin, her friend/love interest. Getting to know the world. Demon 1 also a fan of Demon Girl™ of the last point
And now things complicate because I just have ideas that would kinda mean that I have to separate the last 2 points from the rest of this universe + 2 new characters
A investigator who ends up summoning Demon 1 by accident in the middle of the investigation, and ends up with a crush on her?
Mafia demon lady in the real world, probably the cause for the investigation in the first place. Very much Big Mama form rottmnt vibes
Sigh. I wish I was a writer, or that things would just appear from my mind into the paper/computer screen. But oh well
#original character#writing#writing ideas#that last section would have been easier if i just said ther names#but its kinda funny this way#just a girl her boyfriend her sister(who can see ghost no worries) and her parents (mom#and noone is gonna judge me for that#i think#itd be nice to actually have an idea of plot because modesty aside i really like my ideas#but i guess i would have to have the motivation to drawing/write it as well

Top 6 Food Places in Vigan City to Check Out
Vigan City is a captivating attraction that gives visitors the feeling of traveling through time. Recognized for its strong maintenance of Spanish colonial architecture, it is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Additionally, the city is known for its culinary offers. With this in mind, many would be asking where to eat in Vigan City for a great dining experience.
Here are the best restaurants in Vigan City that tourists should check out while exploring around the area.
Calle Brewery
Located in the heart of Vigan City, Calle Brewery is a local specialist in alcoholic drinks. This restaurant-brewery is a top recommendation for tourists to check out thanks to its strict brewing process, which ensures its drinks' authenticity and quality. It offers hand-crafted beers that never fail to give a strong kick upon drinking.
Of course, Calle Brewery does not only serve beers. They also have casual dining, specializing in serving smoked meat and fresh seafood dishes that reflect the chef’s admiration for cooking. Their meat dishes are almost considered on par with some of the steakhouse restaurants in Metro Manila. Calle Brewery is open from 11 AM to 11 PM daily.
Café Leona
One of the most famous restaurants in Vigan City, which serves both local and international cuisines called Café Leona. Located alongside the streets of Calle Crisologo, the restaurant is a popular choice for nighttime dining, where guests will fill the tables inside and outside the restaurant.
It is recognizable thanks to the surrounding cobblestone streets and Spanish-built structures, offering an old-time dining ambiance. Taking a closer look at their culinary options, Ilocano dishes are offered in Ilocano blended with Japanese and Italian flavors. The restaurant operates from 10 AM to 12 AM, giving tourists many opportunities to reserve a spot.
Café Bigaa
Similar to Pampanga’s specialty foods, Café Bigaa takes pride in offering authentic Ilocano cuisine within the city. It is located inside the 130-year-old Vigan Plaza Hotel and has a rustic and cozy appeal to match.
Moreover, it offers customers local favorites, such as Bagnet, Sinanglao, and Vigan Longganisa, the latter being their special. Many of its original items and best sellers revolve around these local dishes in different presentations and twists. One of their best-sellers, the Vigan Samplers, consists of Ilocano’s most popular dishes in one platter. Café Bigaa is open from 6 AM to 10 AM.
BarTech
Another famous restaurant in Vigan City that travelers must check out is BarTech. This restaurant is recognized for being the city’s first and only dinner buffet, ideal for customers with big appetites and looking to enjoy the nightlife. The restaurant is open from 6 PM to 2 AM from Mondays to Saturdays, with Sundays being 6 PM to 12 AM only.
Bartech derived its name from the Ilocano word “bartek,” which means “to be drunk.” The restaurant is also popular for serving an array of alcoholic drinks, often paired well with popular appetizers. These items include Bangent Frittos, Calamari Rings, and Tokwa’t Banget.
Outside its buffet, BarTech also provides rice meals to those not looking for heavy dining. Some of the restaurant’s popular items include Chicken Teriyaki, Fried Bangus, Beef Tapa, and Banget Longganisa, one of their original creation.
Irene’s Vigan Empanada
One of the city's longest-running empanada shops is Irene's Vigan Empanada, with its main branch on Calle Crisologo. This restaurant's empanadas stand out from others due to its thin dough coverings and various fillings.
Their empanada flavors can range from tuna, chicken, and beef to more unique flavors such as adobo flakes and sisig. However, one item that both locals and tourists love is their signature Longgsanisa Empanada. It is filled with savory Vigan Longganissa and egg, which customers often dip in local vinegar. The restaurant is open daily from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Kusina Felicitas
When it comes to deciding where to eat in Vigan City, Kusina Felicitas is a fitting choice for local cuisine. While it is one of the few establishments far from Calle Crisologo, the restaurant still boasts much of the city’s colonial era. When entering, you will feel like you are dining during the eighteenth century.
The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes that truly define authentic Ilocano cuisine. Some must-try dishes include Chicken Sinigang, Sinanglao, Banget, and Pinakbet. Some of the restaurant's dishes also take influences from nearby towns, such as La Union, Kalinga, and Apayao. Kusina Felicitas operates from 6 AM to 10 PM every day.

Free Employment Documents for Graduates at Kalayaan
On Wednesday, various venues across the region, including SM City Baguio and Divine Word College, Bangued, Abra, will host the Kalayaan Jobs Fair. This event offers a one-stop-shop service where agencies like the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG Fund, and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) will assist applicants in securing pre-employment documents.
Available Services
- NBI Clearance: Essential for many job applications, this clearance can now be obtained for free. - PSA Birth Certificates: Another vital document for job applications, available at no cost. - SSS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth: Assistance with these services ensures applicants are well-prepared for employment.
How to Avail of the Free Services
To qualify for free pre-employment documents, applicants must present a certification from their respective villages (barangays) stating they are fresh graduates or first-time job seekers. Steps to Get a Barangay Certification - Visit Your Barangay Hall: Request a "Barangay Certificate" or "Barangay Certification." - Provide Supporting Documents: These may include school records, proof of residence, and a valid ID. - Approval: Once your request is evaluated and approved, you will receive the Barangay Certificate. Bring this certificate to the Kalayaan Jobs Fair to avail of the free services provided under the First Time Job Seekers Assistance Act. Why This Initiative Matters This initiative is crucial for new graduates entering the job market. By reducing the financial burden associated with obtaining necessary documents, the government is helping to streamline the process of entering the workforce. For instance, obtaining an NBI clearance and a PSA birth certificate can often be costly and time-consuming. With this new legislation, the process becomes more accessible and less stressful for young job seekers.
Key Services at the Kalayaan Jobs Fair
Document/Service Agency Benefit NBI Clearance NBI Free and essential for job applications Birth Certificate PSA Free and required for employment Social Security Services SSS Assistance with registration Housing Fund Services Pag-IBIG Help with membership and benefits Health Insurance PhilHealth Registration and benefits assistance Supporting Agencies and Their Roles Various agencies will be present at the jobs fair to provide additional support and services. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will also be on-site, offering alternative options for livelihood and entrepreneurship, as well as upskilling opportunities. Final Thoughts This new initiative by DOLE and the implementation of the First Time Job Seekers Assistance Act is a significant step towards supporting the youth in the Philippines as they transition from education to employment. By providing free pre-employment documents, the government is making it easier for fresh graduates and first-time job seekers to embark on their careers without the added financial burden. New graduates and first-time job seekers should take full advantage of this opportunity by attending the Kalayaan Jobs Fair and securing the necessary documents to kickstart their careers. This initiative not only benefits individuals but also strengthens the overall workforce in the Philippines. We have published a much more detailed article about the 3,000 jobs at the Kalayaan Jobs Fair. Sources: THX News, SCRIBD, Tambay Kirino & Philippine News Agency. Read the full article

1272. March 22, 2024
Not much today except for the discount stores. From AA’s card shop to 99, Daiso, Five Below and Ross. Not to mention the seafood city and Valerios to feed the soul. Since there was no meat, we eat sinigang bangus. Ceviche to feed our appetites.
Tonight, I started to fill my bags. With us watching a car pursuit. Now that the weekend has started, It’s coming in close. As I try to fight the tired, Injustice hope to enjoy the next few days. Waterworks are going to begin soon.

Outubro
