Atsushi — just repressed and didn’t receive any kind of sex ed.

Akutagawa — also not ace, just repressed. so, so repressed.

Dazai — Mafia Dazai: repressed ace. Current Dazai: horny, slutty ace

Chuuya — neither ace nor repressed

Ranpo — no repression. he is simply ace and doesn’t give a fuck (literally and figuratively). he used to be insecure about it but now has a god complex because of it

Poe — ace. don’t talk to him about sex. he’ll indulge you because he doesn’t want to support purity culture, but it still freaks him out.

Kunikida — ace. don’t talk to him about sex on ada premises. he’ll write you up for sexual harassment. also he personally conducts the ada’s harassment training and he will use your conversation as an example of what not to do, shaming you in front of the entire office. if you ask respectful questions outside of work, he’ll answer.

Yosano — did experience repression in her teens. not ace or currently repressed. she knows a lot about asexuality because she and Fukuzawa read a bunch of books to help Ranpo

Gin — demi. once almost stabbed Tachihara when he didn’t know what that was and said something stupid. he knows now

Oda — aroace. hasn’t really thought about it.

Ango — aroace. has thought about it so much, he needs to have his brain privileges revoked.

Higuchi — not ace, not repressed, but a third secret thing

Lucy — gray ace. do not ask her about sex unless you want to be killed (her sexual awakening was Atsushi and she’s still mad about it)

Tachihara — not ace or repressed. didn’t know what any of that meant until he made an insensitive comment and Gin almost killed him, prompting him to get a book about it. now he’s an extremely loud ally

Unfortunately, there's a handful of work for me to do on my end that it stopped me from being able to write or post anything really. Even if I have freetime, I'd want to create bokuaka posts with the enjoyment of it and actually taking the time to write rather than rushing!

(I literally have Akaashi bday and valentines day writing posts in my drafts that I havent finished help TvT-)

On a lighter note, Bungou Stray Dogs Season 4 is airing right now so I'm sorta indulging in the series again since it's been a while! and I miss Rampo so much ;-;. Bokuaka will always have a place in my heart though it's nice to take a step back and enjoy other things for a bit especially in preparation for the Haikyu movies :'))

I also made the "smart decision" of reading Beast and "The Day I picked up Dazai" and I am in so much pain ahahaha-

Of course I'm not dropping this blog or switching interests <33! I'll still be writing and posting bokuaka stuff , it's really just a matter of me not having enough time + also taking a quick break.

At the age of 7-8, Atsushi escapes from the orphanage and encounters an armed detective agency. Headcanon

* Now the other characters are the same age. Only Atsushi's age is like 7-8 years old due to headcanon.

*The Armed Detective Agency was facing a new crime. A tiger cub was stealing meat and fruit from stores and causing harm to the store owners.

*Originally, this task was given to someone else, but Kenji was the first to find Atsushi. Kenji found Atsushi hiding in an alley in his tiger form. Of course, Kenji thought Atsushi was a normal tiger.

*He then somehow convinced Atsushi and carried him to the detective agency. Atsushi, on the other hand, only enjoyed the food Kenji gave him. Atsushi, on the other hand, just enjoyed the food Kenji gave him. Of course, when we got to the detective agency, things got a little confusing.

Kenji, "I found a runaway albino tiger!”

Kunikida, "What where?! Why did you bring him here?!"

*There was chaos at first, but it quickly ended. Kenji, Rampo, Naomi, Kyouko and Fukuzawa wanted to adopt Atsushi, thinking he was a tiger cub. Tigers are cats, after all.

*Dazai, Tanizaki, Yosano and Kunikida were determined to give him to a zoo, but they lost in numbers. However, Dazai and Rampo noticed that when the tiger cub heard this, he understood them and reacted in fear.

Dazai, "Oh what a clever little tiger. Come here~"

Fukuzawa, "Dazai, don't give the poor tiger weird looks!”

*When Dazai touched Atsushi's tiger form, Atsushi's true form appeared. They notice how weak Atsushi is. Of course, at first everyone was surprised except Rampo and Dazai.

*They realized from Atsushi's clothes that he was an orphan. They planned to give him to the orphanage, but Atsushi got scared and cried. It quickly became clear that this was a bad idea, as it took hours to calm Atsushi down.

*They later learned the reason why Atsushi ran away from the orphanage and decided to take care of Atsushi.

*Atsushi is a calm kid so he doesn't cause too many problems.

*Some armed detective agency members may ask Atsushi to turn into a tiger.

*Dazai will definitely test how cat-like Atsushi's tiger form is by shining a laser at it.

(Dazai points laser at Atsushi) Dazai, "Come on, kitty kitty."

Atsushi, "I will report you to Kunikida and Fukuzawa."

*When Atsushi gets tired of Dazai's teasing, he goes to the other members and complains about Dazai. Atsushi suffers a lot because of Dazai.

*He will get candy from Rampo and Yosano and Fukuzawa will scold him because his teeth are rotting.

*After a while, the detective agency starts giving simple tasks to Atsushi because Atsushi insists on it.

*Atsushi is definitely getting pampered every day because he is such a cute kid.

*The big problem is that there are people chasing Atsushi. Some enemies who learn about Atsushi's ability will go after Atsushi. Of course they will take care of it, but Atsushi will definitely get caught in the crossfire.

*However, there will be no problem as the members of the Armed Detective Agency will deal with it as quickly as possible.

Becoming self-aware

🕵🏻 Does the title "The Greatest Detective in The World" have any meaning, if the world isn't real, and the entire world population can fit in a small village at best, if not in a student dorm?

🕵🏻 When Ranpo realised, that all his life was fake, he feels scared.

🕵🏻 He felt like he became a fourteen-year-old again. That he, once again, a boy, who lost his parents and can't understand, why adults can't see what he can see.

🕵🏻 But, thankfully, Ranpo manage to collect himself. He can't lose his cool now. He is not a kid anymore. His friends need his help.

🕵🏻 There was still hope in Ranpo's heart. Hope, that he is still "The Greatest Detective". He believes in his skills. He believes in himself.

🕵🏻 Ranpo tried his best. Because his friends are suffering. Because Fukuzawa looked almost broken.

🕵🏻 Ranpo can't let anyone down.

🕵🏻 Ranpo, same as Katai, was working day and night. The information was limited, and it doesn't let Ranpo to saw the whole picture. Currently, he managed to uncover, that the one, who created this world, put his everything in creating Yokohama city. The city had many streets and buildings. If it wasn't almost empty, Yokohama would look as normal city.

🕵🏻 There was also put an effort in creating their culture. All this holidays, festivals, accents, history... It looked like, someone tried his best in world buiding.

🕵🏻 Then, one day, he gained another source of information.

🕵🏻 He felt an entity's gaze.

The Entity was observing him. And Ranpo was observing the Entity in return. He was having a staring game with it.The Entity was just staring. Still, it was enough for Rampo to gain more information.

First... Entity didn't do anything. It was just staring. No malice, no happiness. Nothing.

Only Kenji believed, that The Entity wasn't bad. Others either hated The Entity or ignored it.

It doesn't feel like a predator gaze.

Fukuzawa managed to learn, that the entity aren't from their world. It came from different world. According to Katai, the entity was hiding behind the screen.

So, they have a Viewer. Now, Ranpo should uncover, how friendly they are.

And then time reset.

And Ranpo, once again, was a fourteen-year-old boy who was looking for a job.

🕵🏻 During the walk to the theater, Ranpo noticed, that Fukuzawa looked even more exhausted, then the first time. He stopped at the middle of the road and point at Ranpo. "Fifty one," Then, Fukuzawa pointed at the sky. "Thirty". Without elaborating, he countine walking. Ranpo decide not to pry.

🕵🏻 The rest of the investigation happened the same way as before. Only, when Fukuzawa was lecturing him for been reckless, The Entity was also lecturing him. The Entity was worried about him. Ranpo start liking the entity.

🕵🏻 The time 'resets again'. Ranpo 'woke up" in the warehouse. Atsushi, dressed in rugs, were laying on the ground. They were back in their real time.

🕵🏻 And then, Ranpo was again investigating the death of Detective Yamagiwa.

Everytime I go back to M26 scenes I feel like I find something new to eat.

Conan thought ai chan was suffering from decompression sickness and rushed to give her CPR. But if you think about it, CPR doesn't really help decompression sickness. Simply breathing into someone only gets air into their system. It doesn't help get rid of the nitrogen bubbles inside the person.

So why was Conan's first reaction was to perform CPR?

Because he might be desperate. He doesn't know if he can get help immediately; he only just resurfaced and broke the huge wave, I bet he doesn't even have his phone on his person and would it work after a dive in the ocean? Does he know where he is exactly? On which part of the Pacific bouy? He can't count on his surroundings well, and he has no diving tools on himself. Also a personal guess but he probably can't just do nothing by ai chan's side either, her unresponsiveness is going to drive him insane. So the only thing he can do at that moment, because it's also on his mind perhaps (I mean it only just happened a few moments ago too) is to give CPR.

Now for someone as rational as Conan, the sweet point isn't whether their lips touched or not, it's the fact that Conan didn't even stop to check ai chan's symptoms. He didn't check her breathing, her pulse, anything, he just immediately grabbed her head and moved in to perform CPR. You can see at this point how he really can't let anything bad happen, much less lose her (cue the edogawa rampo [江户川乱步] scene where he stumbles on the way around the hotel corridor right after ai chan's kidnapping, how he yelled at Sato and gripped his knees with shaky hands, etc)

MANGA

Chuya in the Cannibalism arc is a foil to both Rampo and Kunikida:

He is a foil to Rampo because they are both desperate to save a father figure. A war between the 2 organizations is a bad idea and it isn't what neither Mori or Fukuzawa want. Still, Chuya and Rampo's main priority is to save the person who gave them a home and an item to control their gifts (the hat and the glasses).

He is a foil to Kunikida because they both step into a leadership role and fail. On the one hand Chuya is too aggressive and impulsive. On the other hand Kunikida is too frail and unsure. That said, this doesn't mean they are bad leaders, but simply that they aren't ready to take Mori and Fukuzawa's place. However, they will in the future.

Kunikida is chosen as Fukuzawa's successor. So, his parallelism with Chuya frames the Mafia Executive as the mafia's next leader.

ANIME

The anime takes Chuya and Kunikida's parallelism and makes it clearer in the Walking Alone OVA. As a matter of fact Chuya is added into the episode:

Chuya's presence changes absolutely nothing, so why is he here? The answer lies in these two scenes:

Both Kunikida and Chuya leave the scene while "walking alone". This is a reference to the OVA title. Kunikida is gonna become ADA president, as he "walks alone" and bears others' troubles with determination. Chuya does the same, so he is going to become Mafia Boss. Let's notice that the 2 scenes have some symbolic imagery:

Kunikida walks away in the sunset, which is the time of day linked to the ADA. The Detective Agency stands in the twilight between shadow and light.

Chuya walks away in the underground, while surrounded by black. Similarly, the Mafia represents the underground world and the night.

NOVELS

Fifteen foreshadows Chuya's future leadership of the mafia rather clearly, by building up a foiling among him, Dazai and Mori.

The novel starts with Mori struggling to be the new mafia boss. He tells Dazai how difficult it is and thinks of the boy as a possible successor. As a matter of fact he starts grooming him and it is implied he sets up the rivalry between him and Chuya also to motivate Dazai to grow.

Still, the boy who is actually interested in being a leader isn't Dazai, but Chuya:

“A leader is both the head of the organization and the organization’s slave. For the survival and the profit of the organization, they gladly put themselves through any manner of filth. They develop their subordinates and place them where they best fit. And, if necessary, they use and dispose of them. For the sake of the organization, they take on any act of barbarism with glee. That is a leader. All for the organization, and for the protection of this beloved city.” (Mori in Fifteen)

In the end, he asks Mori what being a leader means and is captivated by Mori's answer. Chuya is ready to slave under an organization for the common good.

Interestingly, Mori tells the same words to Dazai 3 years later to justify the sacrifice of Odasaku. Dazai, however, refuses them and leaves the organization.

This foiling is pretty obvious. Mori thinks Dazai is the perfect successor because he is like Mori himself. However, as per usual, Mori dismisses the heart too easily. Mori thinks a good leader should be logical and have no feelings. Still, it is the opposite. A good leader should be willing to take upon himself the weight of their people.

Adam makes it clear to Shirase in Storm Bringer. Chuya was the Sheep King not only for his skill, but because he genuinely cared about his people. Shirase can't hope to become King, if he doesn't step up and takes responsibility for others' wellbeing. Symbolically, Shirase is able to grow up and to become a leader of his own only after he steps in and selflessly saves Chuya.

So, Chuya is set up to grow into a leader of the mafia. Still, to do so he must be careful not ot make the same mistake of his younger self. He should not take everything in his hands, but rely on others. This is the arc he is more or less set up to have in the main series.

omg i LOVE all your writings and posts! Especially the ones about sushi :D I don’t see much stuff for Rampo (or Ranpo? idk how u say it) but i had a sickfic idea for him. (maybe I’ll write it!) Ranpo has been assigned a really tough case. The stress and anxiety from it is making him realllllly nervous, and it’s giving him a really bad stress-induced tummy ache. But that’s not all for poor Rampo. He stress eats candy and sweets that only make his tummy feel even worse, but he’s too focused on solving his assignment it to realize it. He does finish it but at what cost? He’s miserable now :(

I could see this happening closer to when Fukuzawa first takes him in, and Rampo just wants to impress him. But at least Fukuzawa notices before it became a habit and took care of him :D

Just some brain rot i had that got WAY too long. Tbh i could see this working for any character, i just think it suits Rampo best. Anyways sorry for rambling about him. Love all your works tho! ♡ ´･ᴗ･ ` ♡
