Got back to the office a little late today and one of my coworkers was there with her kids for some reason. Three boys, oldest is 13, youngest is 7. She then has them introduce themselves. She has named these poor children "Ryder," "Ryker," and "Rigger." I wish I was joking. I don't know how to cope with this information. I responded by saying they were strongly masculine names because I know she's a hardcore Trumper and I don't know how to confront someone who isn't being mean to me, but my god. If all white people weren't naming their kids like this these days, you know those kids would be getting made fun of by everyone.

Before my niece was born my sister told me her top name choice, which was one of those ridiculous misspelled names like Kayyleigh, or Paytonn (not saying what the actual name is bc its still the kid's middle name. Those aren't close to the actual name, but you get the idea). She ended up choosing a different, much less damaging-to-the-kid's-future name and is glad I got her to change her mind. What did I say to make her choose a different name?

I told her it sounded like an over-the-counter medication. Apparently whenever she thought of that name she couldn't get my comment out of her head. You're welcome, kid.
