LOOKING FOR CONTENT TO WATCH?
here are some underrated (in my opinion) media's I recommend!
Lackadaisy (Animated PILOT - Webcomic.) Lackadaisy has its own Animated PILOT on YouTube, and a Webcomic you can find on the official lackadaisy website! The series is about a webcomic set in Prohibition-era St. Louis, Missouri. It chronicles the events of a cast of anthropomorphic cats as they struggle to keep the titular speakeasy afloat.
Murder Drones (Animated series) Murder Drones has recently gained popularity, but is still a small project. You find it on youtube. On a post-apocalyptic exoplanet, worker drones struggle to survive by hiding from rogue robots called Murder Drones
Epithet Erased (Animated series - book) you can find the first 7 episode Animated on YouTube! Season 2, however, Is a book. based on the tabletop roleplay series Anime Campaign! With unique powers called epithets, and characters attempting to steal an amulet rumored to have the ability to take a person's epithet.
Lego Monkie Kid (Cartoon) The tale begins when an ordinary boy, Monkie Kid, finds Monkey King's legendary staff, and he becomes the chosen one. You can watch on PRIME VIDEO!
Recreyo (YouTube channel!) Oddly enough, I'm recommending a YouTube channel.. a Comedy podcast with a group of friends with trust issues are thrown into different chaotic scenarios where they have to survive by learning to trust each other.. or not.
I'm running out of ideas or media's so.. uh yeah guys you should watch those silly fnaf rps like Oddities or The Famous Films!!! There's more, but I don't know them all lol
Also the sun and moon show is pretty cool yeah
EDIT ; The amazing digital circus is a new media too! Though, the fandom has grown largely. It's a animated pilot on YouTube, under the GlitchProductions channel. (creators of murder drones)
EDIT ; Spooky Month! Halloween is one of everyone's favorites, and so is October! I'm sure you've all heard of this show, made by Sr. pelo. Every year, near Halloween, a new episode for this series released! Last year, it grew huge in popularity.
There obviously tons of smaller projects out there, and I totally recommend them! Make sure to support small creators!

I hate the direction Poppy Playtime has gone in the past year. (Part 1)
Does anyone else hate the direction Poppy Playtime has taken this past year? and also not excited for Chapter 3? It really hurts me as I LOVED the first two Chapters! they felt really unique and special! I rarely get into new things, and when I do it's never as strongly as this!! So this may end up a little long, but I'd really appreciate it if people read this and understand the way I feel about this! (Especially you, MOBgames/MobEntertainment!)
Before I get into this, I have to admit that I'm terrible at writing, so this may be a little messy, but I'll try my best. Right, so there are many things I adored about Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 & Chapter 2. We'll start with one of the things shared between both Chapters: Gameplay.
The gameplay in both Chapters is basically like this: Start Chapter -> do puzzles -> encounter living Toy -> do more puzzles -> encounter Toy again -> Toy chases you -> Toy dies -> End of Chapter.
I LOVE this formula! it works really well and is what the core of the game is: A cute, colourful & sometimes creepy puzzle game! (Too many games try to play up the horror aspect. the fact that these Chapters are cute, colourful puzzle games first, and creepy second, is something I really liked, as I'm personally not a fan of games trying to be "scary". games that try to be scary almost never are, and the thing with things that ARE scary? scares fade over time. creepy things though? those tend to stay creepy and linger in the mind for a long time! so yeah, creepy is miles better than scary!)
Next is the story. One thing I've noticed with many games over the years, is they try too hard to make a complex story. it always ends up feeling like things are forced in purely for "lOrE" and getting theorists to talk about it. this just completely ruins the story. see FNAF as an example. originally the plot was just "Man wearing yellow rabbit suit kills kids and stuffs their bodies in Animatronic suits, causing the children's souls to haunt said suits" nothing too complex here. very easy to understand. this was good. I liked FNAF a lot between 1 and SL. I think SL tied up the story perfectly. after that though, things started to change. now we're at a point where theres books that are apparently somewhat tied to the games? and games made after SL just don't fit in with the story previously told. it just seems very confusing to me and honestly puts me off the series. its just too complex at this point, so much so that I have zero desire to get back into the series. people just need to remember: simple is best! now back on topic: Poppy Playtime's story.
Poppy Playtime's story in the first two Chapters is simple. obviously there are two parts to this, so on to the first part: The Player's story - The Player, a former Playtime Co. employee, recieves a tape, and a note that states that the other employees, who disappeared in the factory 10 years ago, are actually still at the factory somewhere, but no-one has been able to find them. so the Player decides to go to the factory to investigate.
The second part - The Toys story: Toy Company finds a way to make living toys through the use of poppy flowers. minus Poppy herself, who seems to act more human, possibly due to being older and picking up on human behaviours, the living toys are like animals. Playtime Co. tries to teach, train & tame the toys. some, like Huggy Wuggy, are tame from the start, and some, such as Mommy Long Legs, are mostly tame, but also need a bit of training. then there are others who are more like wild animals that cannot be tamed. with the events currently taking place, many of the Toys, having been abandoned for 10 years, have reverted back into wild animals due to lack of socialisation and food. they're forced to eat their own kind in order to survive.
(Just a note I'd like to add is that one of my favourite things about Poppy Playtime is that the world inside Chapter 1 & Chapter 2 feels plausible. everything in those two feel like things that could happen in real life. The Toys being created, and the Toys themselves, with the way they act and the way they move. it's so good!!)
The second part of the story is facinating to me! a story of creating life that doesn't naturally exist, and the process of teaching them about the world they're in, and the roles they're given. it's SO unique and refreshing! the Toys being real, living beings, and not just a bunch of humans or human souls trapped inside a body that's not theirs was AMAZING!! Humans actually being the monsters in games is WAY too common, and honestly extremely boring. definitely a trope I am absolutely sick of. I know many others feel the same. genuine monsters are just SO much better! (more on this later)
Next thing I'd like to mention, which will be short: The look of the games.
I LOVE the look of both Chapter 1 (OG) & Chapter 2!! they look unique and have an amazing aesthetic. from these, you can easily tell what game you're looking at! cartoony, with a bit of realism. I've never liked realism myself, but the cartoony style with a hint of realism seen here really works!! its just a shame they ruined Chapter 1 a bit with the update they put out a few months back.
I also LOVE the Toy Factory setting!! normally factories in games are really ugly and unappealing, but Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 & Chapter 2 managed to make a factory that is adorable and colourful!! seeing the character art and colours everywhere makes it so appealing! with those and other things like the way the pipes on the walls look, and just how cartoony it all looks, including the machines seen in both chapters, the factory itself looks like a giant toy! it's wonderful and magical and I cannot praise it enough!
Now I'm going to focus on the things I liked about both Chapters individually.
Chapter 1: Short, to the point. a great intro for the game. Huggy may have had little screentime, but what he had was perfect. he was basically "tutorial monster", which really worked for him. his role has been fulfilled. overall, just a nice little experience. 10/10 experience for the original Steam version.
Chapter 2: A longer, more story-driven Chapter. All of the Toys in this one were great in the roles they were given, but of course Mommy Long Legs stood out. I absolutely LOVE Mommy!! her playful, childlike personality was always so fun, and she's utterly adorable!! I love that she talks! it made her so much more interesting, really adds to the cuteness of her character, and is the sole reason why she was also a bit creepy. The minigames of this Chapter were great fun! and the green hand is cool! I miss the red one though. :( red and blue go better than blue and green! anyway - Chapter 2 really is amazing, and basically took what we had in Chapter 1 & made it so, SO much better!! 10/10!! honestly, Mommy alone makes Chapter 2 deserve a 10/10 score! she's THAT amazing!! (I also LOVE that Mommy is the baby of the living toys!! it's so cute! I hope it stays that way as being the youngest really suits her!! she's very cutesy, has a somewhat child-like personality & way of speaking, and is the smallest of the bigger toys, so its perfect! I like to imagine she's like a little sister to other toys like Huggy & PJ! and I think there's enough reason to think she may have been close to those two in particular, especially Huggy, which I really like as those three are my favourites! Huggy, Mommy & PJ were the original Playtime Trio too. I miss that group so bad!! I'd love to see merch of just those 3 together! a blanket would be the best thing!!)
Next: Toy Designs The designs of the main cast of toys (Huggy, Mommy, PJ, Bunzo, Poppy, Kissy, Candy, CatBee, Bron & Boogie) are all great in that their designs actually look like toys that could exist in real life! Huggy, Mommy, PJ & Bunzo are easily the stand-outs. they're the ones I think look most plausible, and most interesting. Mommy's design is by far the best! super cute & pretty. she's absolutely a toy I would've LOVED to have when I was a kid. she and PJ feel very nostalgic to me as they actually do look like the sort of toys that were about from my childhood! I haven't got anything more to say about Huggy or Bunzo, but they're just great designs! I also don't have anything else to say about the other main toys - Candy, CatBee, Poppy, Kissy, Bron & Boogie. again, just great designs! Candy in particular I have a soft spot for. she's cute!
I will say though: Huggy's & Mommy's designs were totally butchered in Project: Playtime. Ugly and no longer look plausible as actual toys. (same for Bunzo's design at the end of the Easter comic, and now Kissy & Poppy.) not sure why they ruined them so bad in that game. they should've left them alone! I was REALLY hoping they didn't use them again, especially not in the main game. The person who made the redesigned models completely missed the point of the characters: they're meant to look plausible as actual toys, be cute, and in some cases a bit uncanny. also the inspiration for certain characters is lost in the redesigns. The GrabPack also looks bad. more on all this later. probably in a separate post.
I keep hoping they'll change them back to their original designs in the spinoff, (and now the main game) as it is one of the major reasons I've been completely put off of ever playing it. because they look so horrible!! actually, there's a LOT about Project: Playtime I don't like. Its actually the reason Poppy Playtime started to go downhill for me, due to it making so many changes, retcons and just not making sense. I'll get to that in a bit. first though: The Chapter 1 update.
My main issue with the update is it made the game too dark, which really ruins the experience. how can a game be enjoyed properly when you can't even see anything? it just completely changes & ruins the atmosphere, which is sad. I have other more minor complaints about the update, but I won't bother with those here.
I REALLY hope they don't update Chapter 2. or at the very least, visually. I understand if they want to add subtitles like Chapter 1, but Chapter 2, just like the original version of Chapter 1, is perfect as it is. I'd be so devastated and heartbroken to see Chapter 2 ruined. It's very important to me.
also, I really hope they bring back OG Chapter 1 someday.
I'm probably forgetting something, but for now I think I'm done with the stuff I loved & liked. now onto all the crap that I feel is ruining the game, starting with what started the decline: Project: Playtime.
Project: Playtime, as previously stated, is definitely what started the massive decline in the series. it made so many awful, unnecessary changes & retcons to the main game. I'm surprise I haven't seen as many people as I thought I would talking about all the issues it (and Chapter 3) introduced. here's a list of the changes & retcons made in this game:
1.The living Mommy being made before her toy. So she only had a matter of days to bond with the other living toys, the ones that she was so attached to? and the staff only tried to train her for a few days before deciding to move her elsewhere so they could condition her into tolerating & looking after or guiding kids with the hope it MAY calm her down? such a stupid retcon that makes no sense. I figured they'd at least try working on her behaviour for a couple of years, or heck, even just a few months, before trying this method! also I'm pretty sure its impossible to create toys, and send them to stores in less than a month. (If anyone is confused: Mommy's toy came out 2nd of February, 1991. this means that with Project's retcon, which states the living Mommy was also created in 1991, was made somewhere between 1st January 1991 to 1st of February 1991. it just doesn't work!!)
2.While on the subject, Mommy's personality. part of her profile in Project states "Mommy is best described as a spider-like psychotic murderer who kills for fun." I have multiple problems with this.
To start, I don't see how she's spider-like. Sure, there are some references, but her design is clearly human, and her personality is more cat-like with the way she watches & plays with the player.
Next, how is Mommy psychotic? sure, it was obvious in Chapter 2 that Mommy is mentally ill, the way she behaves and speaks feel like a young adult, who acts very child-like. but looking at what I can see from a quick search of psychosis, most of the symptoms don't seem to match. I thought her illness was either because her handler(or whatever they call the person/people who takes care of her) didn't treat her very well, (which, along with being taken away from the toys she loved, also caused her to hate humans) or just a random, made up illness that would never be explained.
Also, it called her a murderer. how is she a murderer? as far as we're aware, she's only killed Bunzo and some of the Mini Huggies, which could be justified. bear in mind the main game establishes two things: 1.The toys are starving due to a lack of food, and 2.There appears to be multiple different sides, or groups, amongst the toys. Mommy could've made a deal with Bunzo & the Mini Huggies where she'd spare them and find food elsewhere if they killed the player, or maybe they'd share the player's corpse, as I'm sure it would be plenty for all of them. as they failed, and she was starving, she could've chosen to eat them, so of course killed them. in regards to "sides", it seems to me that there are at least two or three different sides that the toys are on. Huggy & Mommy seem to be on the same side, as there's quite a lot out there that suggests the two are close, and also that they both seem to dislike Poppy. Poppy herself seems to be on her own side, though it wouldn't surprise me if she was secretly working with the Prototype. speaking of which, Prototype seems to also have his own little group. but again, wouldn't surprise me if Poppy's on his side. people wonder why Mommy didn't kill PJ. there are multiple possibilities, though the ones I think apply: He's too big for her to kill as he's much larger than her. he could also have been part of her group, and her friend. It also could just be that she didn't get time or was too focused on finding the player, but I doubt that. I think its possible that Mommy could've killed Bunzo & the Mini Huggies because they were of a different group, though I find that unlikely as they live where she lives, and she set the Mini Huggies free. It could've just been pure rage, but even if that was A reason, I think food is probably the main reason she killed them. I wouldn't call her a murderer for that. It was simply survival.
It also says she kills for fun….. No she doesn't. In Chapter 2 she clearly doesn't want to personally kill the player, as she has them play games with other toys in the hopes that one of them kills the player instead. it was only when she was out of options that she went after the player herself. It's true that she threatened to kill the player during her intro scene, but I'm sure that was purely to scare the player into playing her games. So yes, she DID want the player dead, and she may have wanted to watch it happen, but she still didn't want to actually do the killing herself! and to be honest, even if Mommy DID decide to kill the player herself instead of having other toys try first, I still wouldn't say she's a murderer, or that she kills for fun. We know the player was a member of staff as Mommy recognised them. Mommy hates the staff. if she was actually treated poorly, and I bet she was, especially with her "conditioning", killing the Player would both feel like vengeance for how she was treated, and give her food to eat. So yeah, Project's info is false. I really don't know why they wrote it that way.
I won't delve too much into it here, but I also don't like the nonsense abilities made up for the characters in the game. The Steam page also lists how the characters play incorrectly, but that's a topic for a different post.
Other things I don't like are: 1.The change in art-style. I can't pinpoint exactly why it looks so different, but it looks bland and ugly. though at least it still looks cartoony, so I'll give it credit for that.
2.The locations. they don't make sense and do not fit in the world. though I don't think they were meant to be canon, which is good, but I think creators should take care with spin-offs in making sure they fit in with their main series.
3.Boxy Boo. I think his design is bad. he doesn't look like a toy Playtime Co. would make, and doesn't look plausible. He just doesn't fit into the world. he also lacks the "cute" look of the other toys. his name is also awful, but just "Boxy" would've been fine. He honestly just feels like a rip-off of both Huggy (combo of eyes, sharp teeth, furry.) and Mommy. (stretchy, even if done differently.)
I also HATE his fleshy mouth. He's a toy! why is his mouth fleshy?? I could say more, but I'll leave it there. I may delve more into his design in another post.
This game is also the thing that introduced two things to the series: 1.The Bigger Bodies Initiative (BBI for short) & 2.The possibility that some of the living Toys are made using human parts. some people also think that its suggesting that the Toys are actually not just made from humans, but ARE the humans they're made from. PLEASE NO. (more on this in a bit.)
The first of the two, the BBI, is just so silly to me. I hate the name. it sounds stupid. and the whole need for a special title for certain bigger toys, when there was no need for the smaller toys or previous bigger toys doesn't make sense. also the game suggests that Boxy was the first living Toy created, but that doesn't make sense either. Prototype was suggested to be the first of something due to his name. I have an idea of what it is, but I'll be saving that for later. Next, its heavily implied that Poppy is the first ever living Toy. why another "first"? what else could he be the first of? the only thing I can think of is he's the first that used human parts. though the game seems to have retconned Huggy & Mommy into BBI experiments too, which I do NOT like.
This leads me into the next one: that some Toys are made using human parts.
I HATE this!! it's SO unoriginal and boring. it was far more interesting with them all being created using only poppy flowers! (and I'd assume lab created blood. though it could also be the poppy flowers mixed with some sort of water to make it look & function like blood)
The whole "The Toys are humans" thing is even worse!! it doesn't make sense and it completely ruins the characters and the plot!! it also completely removes any creepiness from the games! how is it even the slightest bit creepy if the Toys are just a bunch of people?? pretty much everything given in the first two chapters basically said that the Toys were exactly as they're presented: Living Toys. stuff outside the game also heavily suggested this. If the Ch1 & Ch2 Toys are people now, it's definitely a massive (and awful) retcon! one that, again, makes NO sense whatsoever! The Toys being simply just living toys trying to adapt to and navigate a world they weren't naturally made for is so much more interesting! I'll be talking more about this in a bit as I'll be talking about all the evidence for both sides.
Actually, I'm going to make a part 2 of this post to go over other things in more detail. I've spent hours writing this out and I'm so tired. so I'll leave it here for now, but I'll try to get part 2 up soon. I'd love to post it today, but I think its more likely to be within a couple of days or so. maybe longer. we'll see. anyway, if anyone had read all this, thank you! if anyone does read this and agrees with anything I've said here, please feel free to add your own thoughts on what you agree with as it's always nice hearing from others who share opinions. :) or alternatively, make your own post about your thoughts on the series! or both!
Just quickly going to add: I'm VERY disappointed in the Console version of Chapter 1. I was hoping for a normal port of the OG Steam version with the Steam picture for the console menu icon. this version doesn't look very good and the icon used for it is hideous!! bring back the iconic steam picture you cowards!!
I also have much to add about Chapter 3 aswell, such as:
1.The Smiling Critters have a bad design (why 8 identical designs with minor differences though??) and also don't fit in. (Especially the bigger ones)
2.How ugly the game and characters look.
3.The new hands are bad and again, don't fit in.
4.The fact that CatNap seems to be confirmed to be a human, which is a massive retcon for the series.
Also a couple of other things related to both Ch3 & Project:
1.How MOB have clearly lost sight of what Poppy Playtime was meant to be & what made it so special.
2.How MOB clearly doesn't care about pleasing actual fans and are only trying to pander to haters, and their clique of Discord users/Partners In Crime members/a particular set of theorists.

OK, FIRST OPINIONS.
I LOVED THE MOVIE, BLUMHOUSE REALLY FUCKIN DID IT, JUST PERFECTLY. THE ANIMATRONICS WERE MADE AMAZINGLY, SUCH PERFECT QUALITY JUST MWA !! THE ATMOSPHERE WAS CREATED BEAUTIFULLY, I LOVE HOW THEY DIDN'T ADD ALOT OF GORE AND FOCUSED ON THE GENERAL STORY/LORE MORE THEN THE SCARE FACTOR JUST AMAZING.
I ALSO LOVE HOW THEY MADE IT SO YOU DIDN'T NEED TO KNOW THE ENTIRE FNAF LORE, LIKE YOU JUST NEEDA KNOW THE BASICS OF THE GENERAL GAME.

"Tell me about Charlie"
Charlie was born in 1972, the same year Fredbear Family's Diner opened
(Not related to the au at all, but I imagine that if Charlie got to grow up she wouldve been transmasc or nonbinary)
When the diner gained more popularity and funding, 2 more animatronics were added, for security and working in/near the prize area. Since Fredbear and Springbonnie were based on Henry and William, they decided to base these new characters off of their oldest children's interests/input
The Puppet is based mostly off of Jack in the Boxes and Marionettes, per Charlie's request. As those are the things she's mostly interested in
(As Charlie got older, she also gained an interest in porcelain jester dolls, which also shows up on the puppet in some variations). Charlie liked all sorts of dolls and puppets and jesters
The original puppet animatronic's mask had paint that would easily wash off, as Charlie enjoyed drawing the character's face, and coming up with new face paint ideas
Charlie liked to protect others, though less like 'gently nursing a bird back to health' and more like 'If I see any of my friends/family trying to cross the street without me I will run Mach speed to aggressively hold their hand, look both ways, and glare and any potential threats while I walk with them'
Yknow, that stubborn kid protection, where as soon as they earn some safety tip from the adults around them (look both ways, wear a seat belt, don't talk to strangers, etc) they determinedly enforce it and make sure Everyone is doing it and doing it properly
Charlie can be seen as shy, but is incredibly extroverted, especially around those she's close to! Def the person who helps asking for something when their anxious friend is too scared to
Charlie was the "weird" kid. Often excluded and sometimes seen as creepy by most other kids her age

The puppet/Charlie is a character that absolutely fascinates me and I wish we had more info on her
Like. she was in the Happiest Day minigame in fnaf 3, and moved on with the others, but her eyes didn't light up in the end screen and she clearly came back for Pizza Sim. Did she ever move on? Did springtrap surviving make her come back from her happy ending?
And UCN! all of the puppet's voice lines make sense with what we know but, what about "I don't hate you, but you need to stay out of my way" ??? And man I desperately want to know what she meant! Why does she not hate William? What's he in the way of? Her protecting the others?? It's ucn he can't really hurt them now anyway?? Is it because he's winding up the music box??

I think in my version Charlie never had a mother. Either Henry had a wife who left him soon after birth, or he simply never had a wife. Idk why, Henry just seems like a single dad to me
They would enjoy going camping together I think
Henry is definitely a bit of a mess, and not sure how to raise a child, but he genuinely is trying his absolute best and Charlie can tell ^v^
Charlie seems like the type of kid who desperately wants to play checkers all the time
(I wonder if I should make them southern. I mean. Every character I make can probably be called southern because that's all I know. But I wonder if I should purposely make them southern. Henry definitely seems like a sweet tea type of person, when he's not chugging coffee trying desperately to stay awake of course. Yeah. They're southern now)
Charlie has an aunt in the books doesn't she? Aunt Jen? I feel like Aunt Jen visited frequently enough. Helped raise her a bit. Maybe Aunt Jen would babysit if both Henry and William were too busy. Maybe
Naturally Charlie was also raised a bit by William, since he and Henry were pretty much always around each other. She considers Michael and Evan to be her siblings. I say this because I love pointing out betrayal. And because Charlie wanted Evan back too

alright. so five nights at freddys huh. the story begins with these two guys called henry emily and william afton. theyre both pretty good at making robots so they decide to start a chuck e cheese type restaurant together called fredbears family diner. henry is the one who wears the fredbear suit and william wears a rabbit suit called springbonnie (<- WILL BE IMPORTANT LATER). they also both have kids! william has three (michael elizabeth and the one who doesnt get a name. hes just called crying child) and henry has one or two depending on if youre looking at the books or the games (charlie is the one who he always has & sammy is charlies twin brother who sometimes does not exist).
crying child is terrified of williams robots. michael likes to wear a fox mask and scare crying child sometimes. one of these times is on his brothers birthday party where he has an idea to pull an epic prank on crying child and put his head in one of the robots heads!
now. funny thing. i said before that henry and william make robots but i also said that they wear costumes. the robots actually Are the costumes. they decided to invent a little thing called springlocks to hold back all the robot bits so that you could climb into the suit and wear it as a costume. which sounds like a good idea until you think about it for literally five seconds. the springlocks have a tendency to just ummm stop working occasionally. while youre wearing the suit. which you know. kills you. the springlocks ESPECIALLY like to stop working when you get water on them!!! or move around too much!!!
and crying child is. well. crying. and trying to get down out of the fucking robot head. which is full of springlocks. im sure you can see how this one ends
long story short crying child fucking dies. because duh of course he does we are talking about the dead kids video games. this kind of fucks everybody up because you know. its a dead kid. william especially goes kind of bonkers and starts trying to. bring him back i guess is the goal? (they will try to tell you that he says he is going to 'put him back together' at the end of fnaf 4. this is not true do not listen to them.)
so william does what any normal grieving father would do and kills henrys daughter charlie!! awesome!! now charlie has her own little security robot called the marionette that henry built for her to keep her safe. and this security robot was not able to get to her in time to save her from william but it Was able to get to her eventually. and it just kind of lies on top of her? its much more emotional in the games. anyways.
charlies ghost is now trapped inside of the marionette through weird magicky stuff called remnant. all you need to know about remnant is that its basically your soul or whatever. its how the ghosts in this game stay inside their assorted vessels. and when a robot has a ghost inside of it it will obviously start acting weird because There Is A Ghost In There.
william notices this and is like Hm. maybe when people die they can take over other vessels. and he starts making this shiny new line of robots that are literally specifically made to capture and kill children inside of them. he also resorts to the acoustic version of this which is literally just luring kids to the back of his restaurant and killing them and stuffing their bodies into the suits of some other robots hes made. he kills not 1 not 2 not 3 but FOUR FUCKING KIDS this way. and the cops never think to look in the robot suits. this leads to the restaurant being closed down. fucking obviously
the issue with these new child killing robots is that william also still has two surviving children one of whom (elizabeth) is the exact age of the children the robots are designed to trap and kill. she also is very infatuated with one of the robots (circus baby). i cant see how this will end badly at all
elizabeth decides to sneak away on the opening day of this new restaurant with the new robots to see circus baby. and circus baby erm. im sure you can guess. william afton now has not one but two dead kids!!!!!!!!!
so now the new restaurant ALSO has to close down because a whole kid went missing there which is ermm a bad look for william because 4 kids went missing at his last location and 2 died. the robots from this place end up being rented out to people during the day and they often have to be fixed up at night. who fixes them up you ask? ohohohoho
remember michael. the guy who killed his little brother by accident. hes just kind of been hanging out plagued by guilt this whole time. so his dad sends him off down to circus babys restaurant turned rental to go be the animatronic fixer upper and also help his sister i guess?? (i mean 'sends him off down' quite literally btw. this place is underground. for some inexplicable reason.)
this quite obviously does not end well for mike. on his 5th night there he is lured into the scooping room (room with a giant scooper in it made to remove the animatronic exoskeleton from all the wiry bits inside. allegedly) and well. he gets scooped. so that this thing called ennard (amalgamation of every one of the funtime animatronics ie funtime freddy funtime foxy ballora and circus baby) can live inside of him as a normal guy out in the world and not have to be stuck in this fucking underground bunker forever. because they are sentient. because of the dead kids inside of them
anyways it seems that ennard forgot that human bodies rot when they dont have guts inside them to keep them running. michaels body decays over a few days until he is almost completely rotted at which point ennard launches itself out of his mouth and goes to hide in the sewers.
but TURNS OUT. the scooper is actually not for removing animatronic exoskeletons you silly goose. scooper is actually spelled SCUP. which stands for scalable creation of ulterior presence. its a fucking remnant injector that had a bit of remnant left on the end when it scooped all of mikes guts out. so now mike is in zombie limbo. awesome
also around this time william is like Damn i should probably not be leaving the bodies of those kids i killed in those robots. i better go disassemble those. so he goes to the og restaurant and disassembles the robots. the spirits inside of the robots then gang up on him and chase him into an old back room because well they dont like him very much. he decides to hide in his old spring bonnie suit?? which is an insane thing to do given how fragile the springlocks are??? so he gets fucking springlocked. obviously. that back room is then locked up and sealed by someone (probably henry remember him) and williams body gets to rot in the spring bonnie suit haha i bet he wont come back haha
michael in his zombie limbo is like hmm my dad killing all those kids is pretty fucked up and i feel bad about my brother dying. im gonna go free some dead kid souls. at which point he somehow gets a job at MULTIPLE OF HIS DADS RESTAURANTS DESPITE BEING A LITERAL ROTTING CORPSE. he then gets fired for tampering with the animatronics and for smelling bad at each of them
at this point there is an inexplicable 30 year timeskip. no idea what all of the characters were doing that whole time. anyways this new attraction opens up called fazbear frights based on all the missing kids and stuff that happened at williams restaurants. and michael is like i am going to go get that job for uhh. reasons
so he works there as the security guard for like at least 2 days when they open up that sealed room william was in and find the suit. they do not however notice the literal rotting corpse inside it (which somehow did not skeletonize despite being in a very wet very warm room this whole time???) and this thing (now called springtrap. get it. because william was trapped inside it. and its got spring locks.) starts just fucking going after michael for whatever reason. after 5 (6 maybe?? but i think 5) more nights michael burns down the place. you would think this would kill william once and for all. haha. hahahaha
but michael still has work to do i.e freeing the missing kids from the robots so he finds this job posting for a brand new freddys type location which is actually an elaborately constructed labyrinth designed to trap all of the still around animatronics (which is now scrap baby [who seperated from ennard for Reasons], molten freddy [formerly ennard], lefty [who has the marionette trapped inside of it] and scraptrap. who is still alive Somehow and has an absolutely dogshit design all of a sudden)
once you trap all your robots in there henry comes on over the loudspeaker and gives a big climactic genuinely moving speech about how everything that happened can now finally be left behind and these kids souls can heal and william can rot in hell forever and then he sets the building on fire, resolving the story once and for all
and then scott cawthon made 2 (soon to be 3) more games that i cant be bothered to learn anything about so i have no idea the plot for any of them. hope this was coherent and also sorry it took me 1 billion years to send this <3

I recently got myself all 12 Fazbear Frights books cause I finally wanted to read all these stories myself.
And I just finished up book 1 and I figured I'm gonna dump my thoughts about each short story in case anyone is bored enough to read through them.
That being said I'll try to avoid spoilers as much as possible for these books in case anyone wants to read them themselves, but I'll tag it as spoilers just in case someone hasn't watched MatPat or Dawko talk about the stories.
I'll also be talking about the whole Stitchwraith story once I'm done with all the books and it might get it's own little "review" post.
Without further ado, this is gonna be part 1 of my Fazbear Frights Book "Reviews"
Fazbear Frights Book "Reviews"
• Book 1 "Into the Pit":
Off the bat I wanna say that I had some knowledge regarding a lot of the stories from the Fazbear Frights Series, thanks to MatPat's videos talking about them. However that was a couple years ago and even I can't remember every single story detail. So some of the stories I kinda knew what I was getting into while others were a total mystery to me.
• "Into the Pit":
-> "Into the Pit" the story most notably known for the canonicity of time-traveling ballpits in the FNaF universe. Certainly a banger premise to start this book series with. As well as the key revelation of the MCI taking place in 1985.
I will say that I was mostly surprised that this story has such a happy ending to it. I was certain that someone would have died before the end but seems like I was wrong. Def a surprise for me there.
• "To Be Beautiful":
-> The story I knew the most about while getting into it. I figured that this one might make me the most uncomfortable since there is some type of body horror that even I can't handle.
And I assumed that the ending reveal would make me the most uneasy, but it was actually the buildup to the ending that made me the most uncomfortable, since I knew what was going on already.
That being said, Sarah is kinda a bitch. Didn't really feel sorry for her.
• "Count the Ways":
-> This was the story I knew nothing about anymore when reading it. Neither the name or the plot rang a bell in my head, but after reading it I can understand why.
Out of all three stories in this book, this one stands out the least. "Into the Pit" and "To Be Beautiful" had some rather strong lore ties with them but "Count the Ways" didn't really.
I will say that the ending surprised me the most out of all three. I really didn't expect an open and ambiguous ending to the story, especially since I was rooting so much for the protagonist to survive.

I read your conversation in the comments and I'd like to join <3 but I don't think that what I have to say will fit in the comments, so...
I do agree with everything you both said but about the situation with secret of the mimic — what about the people that didn't read the books? I was looking forward to secrets of the mimic — and no, I didn't read the books — until I saw your discussion. Seeing that the new protagonists get shoved aside is pretty irritating, honestly, now that I've started to think about it. Especially since everyone seems to love Gregory (Vanessa and Freddy too. But personally, I think Gregory is the 1st Protagonist, Vanessa the 2nd and Freddy the 3rd).
I was mostly interested in the movieverse idea that you both mentioned. Seeing a movieverse version of Gregory would be great! But what are your thoughts about that? When would he show up? I didn't watch the trailer of the second Fnaf movie but I assume that Gregory would not be able to be stuffed in there.
I had this really nice idea though! Since the movieverse is different from the games, and Vanessa and Gregory are always tied together, wouldn't it be interesting if they'd be siblings? Or if he'd be her son (like how many people have made AU's about it already). Because Elizabeth from the games got replaced by Abby and she wanted to go with Mike to the pizzeria, right? What if a similar situation happened with Gregory and Vanessa? What if he was interested in the whole "police and justice" concept, so he wanted to go with her to work but she always said no? What if he wants to help her stop their father but she doesn't want him to get involved? Until now, Mike and Abby only saw Vanessa's kind side most of the time. But if Gregory would show up, they'd see her more strict "older sister" side. It could give us more Gregory and Vanessa content with Mike and Abby being a part of it. It would also show us more about their relationship (as siblings/family since they most likely live together after security breach) and I think it would be cute. I can also imagine the angst of how there would be tension and at some point around the end, they'd argue. Abby would talk and reason with Gregory how "Vanessa wants to help and protect him" how she only "wants the best for him" and how Abby can understand and relate since Mike is also like that.
Meanwhile Mike would talk and reason with Vanessa, telling her that she has to respect and trust Gregory, that she needs to have more faith in him, especially since he seems capable and clever. He would mention how Vanessa (in the first movie) wanted him to always be nice to Abby, but she can't even be nice to her own brother (or son but most likely brother). Vanessa in the first movie even showed a strict and serious moment, giving Mike a warning, of how he should protect Abby. It would reflect her "protective older sister" side. Giving us — or more specifically Mike — an insight of her more serious and strict side.
Vanessa would admit that she's scared. It's her job to protect him and if she fails-
That's where Mike would cut her off and comfort and reassure her. He shares the same worry after all. But he'd remind her of the first movie, where he thought the animatronics are dangerous, but they were only befriending Abby. How anxious he was but Abby was capable of taking care of herself (even if she almost got springlocked once).
Then, Vanessa would reluctantly agree with a soft smile, expressing her gratitude — before they heard a scream. Their older sibling radar shoots up and they immediately run into the direction that Abby and Gregory went. When they arrived there, they see the two kids in danger (by either springtrap or any other animatronic). That's when the whole tension and panic scene is happening, with all of them trying to survive. Vanessa and Mike — trying to protect their younger siblings — started becoming the new prey, since the attackers attention shifted away from the kids.
Of course Abby and Gregory won't just watch. Well, Abby did — since she was in a daze and shocked and horrified, y'know? Until Gregory used his creativity and snapped her out of it, telling her his "plan".
They save their older siblings and Vanessa remembers her earlier conversation with Mike, seeing how Gregory is capable. Part of her always knew that, but her fear was always stronger. From now on, she'll trust Gregory more and give him more of her faith.
Same with Mike, seeing his sister save him so bravely, he probably praised and thanked her. Maybe by ruffling her hair? Idk.
Happy ending? I guess?

there's been a lot of discussion of the fnaf survival logbook and whether or not it proves sister location takes place before fnaf 1, which i've been thinking about a lot lately for some reason. the argument is that mike had to have written in it during fnaf 1, and since it references sister location, sister location takes place before fnaf 1. but there's also the counterargument that he could've written in it when he worked at fazbear's fright (assuming he was the fnaf 3 player), especially since some art references the fnaf 3 office. which is then usually countered with "but then how could the book have been given to someone else after if it would've burned in the frights fire!" which i mean. like. it is designed to be an activity book for children. do you want to just not have the book. do you want a pile of ash. come on.
there's also one puzzle in it that relates to the real value of a 16 dollar coupon being $27, which is how much it would've been in 2017 when the book was released. i've seen some people say this means the logbook must take place in 2017 or respond to that with "but nothing happens in 2017 in the lore!" (on a different reddit post) but the logbook was published in 2017 and im not sure they could've predicted how much inflation would've been in 2023. i don't think that real value puzzle is necessarily meant to point to 2017 specifically, rather just "the present" in general, which could include 2023, the year when fnaf 3 (presumably) takes place.
but both of those led me to a very funny concept: what if michael worked at fazbear's fright before the player and that's when he wrote in the logbook, but he quit because he thought they weren't going to find anything. phone dude was glad we stayed to work another night. what if that's because the previous employee went "this is bullshit" and quit.

Fnaf Games: What Really Happened?
In Fnaf: Help Wanted, it’s revealed that all the previous games were developed by a “rogue indie developer”, and then backtracked that Fazbear hired them to make the games in a very confusing tape.
Tape 13:
They lied to us. They lied to all of us. They told us the whole point of this VR game was to undo. The bad PR done by a rogue indie game developer, who supposedly made up a bunch of crazy stories that tarnished the brand.
But that’s not true at all. In their haste to develop this VR game and clear their name , they sent us some things I don’t think they intended us to see. Such as a hard drive containing containing emails between Fazbear entertainment and a certain indie developer. Fazbear entertainment hired the game developer. Those indie games were designed to conceal and make light of what happened. This isn’t just an attempt to rebrand. It’s an elaborate cover up. A campaign to discredit everything.
The line of “those indie games were designed to conceal and make light of what happened” contradicts itself, as conceal means to hide, while make light means to expose. It’s left very unclear how much of the games were real events. However, knowing the truth doesn’t completely matter, as many of the games couldn’t be true, anyways.
Following the logic of “could the game developer learn all of the information necessary to create a game of it?”, let’s go through the games.
Fnaf 1: yes
The game/locations had many night guards to interview to learn about the animatronics night activities. There would be enough sources presumably to gather the information to create a game off of it. There isn’t much complications to fnaf 1 to worry about
Fnaf 2: mostly
Similarly to fnaf 1, there were presumably multiple guards to interview. However, the mini games are what come into question.
Save Them: As the player plays as an animatronic, it would be implausible to learn this information. It couldn’t of been caught on camera, considering an Easter egg features the purple man.
Give Gifts Give Life: No one ever found out the bodies were in the suits, and especially had no way of knowing the Puppet put them there. If they knew the puppet put them there, it would of been seen on camera and they would of found the bodies.
Take Cake to Children: slightly plausible. Realistic, if children were in the dinner, so were adults. Children aren’t reliable sources of information (to quote Scott “what’s seen in the shadows can easily be misunderstood in the mind of a child”). But if a parent saw an obscured figure outside kill a child, they could pass on the information. However, assuming this event is the same even as the Security Puppet mini game, and no one reacted to the huge animatronic puppet lug itself outside and stop it, it’s unlikely.
Foxy Go Go Go: played as foxy, witnessed child murder. I’m going to say no.
Fnaf 3: no
The location had a very short lifespan with only one guard. The owner doesn’t seem aware of the dead man in the suit, so he can’t really be a source. Which means one source, who probably burned the whole place to the ground and also might be dead, depending on the time line. Assuming they’re around to interview, I don’t think they would be too willing to talk about it, with the hallucinations and the burning down. If it’s Micheal, game would need to be made BEFORE pizza sim.
Also all the mini games are implausible, as how can those games effect reality? The mini games also tie into fnaf world, which may not even be canon.
Fnaf 4: mostly no
The animatronics are probably not real, and all the events happen to a child, which isn’t a reliable source. That child is also probably dead. Unless the child is somehow Micheal afton, thanks to the log book, but even then, he’s a child and dies in pizza sim.
In a fun twist, in this game the mini games are mostly possible. At least in the child gets bit part. The talking Fredbear plush? Not so much, same goes with the at home torment, considering the sources there are most likely Dead, a murderer, and dead. And mom afton is nowhere to be seen, and if she was the source, she would probably be in the game.
Fnaf World: no
The game was presumably retconned out of the timeline, although the UCN Easter egg raises some questions. But more game effects reality stuff that requires way too much information for a game dev to learn.
Sister location: unlikely no
Our protagonist gets scooped, I don’t think anyone is going to interview him. We see two technicians dead, and another person we are told was found dead in the events. I don’t think anyone makes it out of there alive for very long. Not to mention the popcorn and soap operas, it really comes down to interviewing Micheal, which is highly unlikely.
No one sees Elizabeth get ice cream’d by Baby, and the most likely person to find her body is William. Who isn’t exactly available for interview.
Pizza Sim: no
Everyone in that game dies. There were no customers to tell the tales. The mini games involve murder or a personal family, which you can’t really interview for.
UCN: no...?
It takes place in hell. No
Probably. Unless it’s Willaim afton in a hellish coma, and someone manages to read his brain waves, as alluded in a Fazbear fright book, there’s no way the events could be true to the game. And even then, the voice lines? Old man consequences mini game that connects back to fnaf world? The intermissions? No.
The ONLY way some of these games could be possible is if it was Henry, and he somehow survived the fire. Henry would possibly have some this information. Henry also has to have some time travel video game magic, which.... surprisingly the time travel is more plausible then the video game child saving magic. Some of the games would of needed to have been made before the events of pizza sim to have that game make sense, but the pizza sim game would be made after the events.
But it’s more of an Afton thing to “always come back”

I also almost forgot about UCN while making this, and as I did this from memory, I’m sure I forgot other details. But I don’t know why I made this in the first place...

The Silver Eyes Graphic Novel: Do I even need to explain this one? Rushed art with countless mistakes, horrid coloring, samey designs, the important scenes come off as bland and even goofy instead of impactful. It’s clear Pinky wasn’t used to drawing humans, the colorist had no idea what they were doing, and no one on the team made a graphic novel before. It’s laughable how bad this was XD

The Fourth Closet: Does anyone really know what happened at the end? I... really don’t like what they did with Charlie in this one. I don’t like how William was able to get out of his Springtrap- it was SUPPOSED to trap him, and yet he just... is out of it... I think the whole thing with Baby being like this hot clown girl instead of what she is in Sister Location is very... ... it exists... Tbh I respect the bold direction it took, but I honestly felt it was too much of a stretch and just didn’t work.

FNaF AR, Special Delivery: Not bad! The character models and voice acting is where the game shines most. Other than that, there isn’t really much substantial to the game other than some lore with Vanny/Ness and Luis. The gameplay can get frustrating sometimes(I cant collect remnant, read my mail, or even work on my own animatronics without DING DONG SOMEONES HERE every 5 seconds), and all you do is spin in a circle until you get glitchy, look away if they get glitchy, or zap them when they run at you. Some people probably love this game and good on them for that, but I find myself not touching it for weeks at a time.
Freddy In Space 2: GREAT game for charity, great art, great music! ... That’s all it has going for it, though. It was clear that this was a quickly made game designed to be beaten in one sitting, and it did exactly what it needed to do! Other than being amazing how it was for charity, the game doesn’t have that much going for it(except introducing Lolzhax aka BEST ROBO), so overall not bad but also did almost nothing outside of being for the Charity Livestream XD
Fazbear Frights, Into The Pit: Again, not bad! A nice collection of short stories, almost like goofy campfire horror you’d tell to kids... like goosebumps! I felt each story was REALLY lacking in some areas, but I liked the general idea they were going for. That being said, they’re moreso neat scary stories with the name FNaF attached than anything else(except maybe the first of the three). It hints that they have an overarching plot that will be covered in future books, but as of right now, I feel no one’s missing out by not reading them.

FNaF 3: A satisfying end to the original trilogy story! Purple Guy gets justice, everything gets tied together with a neat bow, and the first arc in the series comes to an end. Also Springtrap, aka my favorite. This game is riddled with neat 8-bit minigames and bits of lore, but the gameplay itself is where I find it not as good as the S A and B tiers. The new setup with the system reboots are def really interesting, but other than that, each night is just... the same thing but harder. Most other games introduce different characters on different difficulties per night, but since Springtrap is the only deadly one, it’s just... him more aggressive each night and systems failing more often. Makes the gameplay pretty repetitive and frustrating after Night 3 or so.
FNaF 4: The beginning of what I like to call the Afton saga(4, SL, FFPS, UCN)! This is when the lore began to get REALLY good... and also really confusing. Props for it taking such a bold direction by taking place in a child’s bedroom instead of in an office with cameras, its a neat change of pace! That being said, the gameplay can get frustrating and there’s a high learning curve for needing to listen to each sound the anmatronics make. Also lore wise... there really isn’t much! Just mainly focuses on what happened to this poor kid. Also the box still being a loose end... yeah.
The Twisted Ones: I enjoyed this one! It had a very interesting direction that kinda kept me guessing on what was going on, and this is when Scott really started nailing in the foreshadowing for the reveal in TFC. The Twisted animatronics are SO cool, and the introduction of those little alteration chips provided new context to games like 4 and SL! That being said, I don’t remember it being... that memorable? I also didn’t like how Charlie’s and John’s relationship was... so awkward... It was neat, but honestly nothing to really go crazy over, in my opinion.

The Silver Eyes: Honestly, I adored this book when I read it back in 2016, before Sister Location happened. At the time I wasn’t trying to connect it to any lore, so it was really great just to see a sort of retelling of the FNaF story. A lot of people complained about how long it was... I might agree if I reread it but tbh it never bothered me before. It was delightfully creepy, yet had a simple plot and wasn’t NEARLY as out there as TTO and TFC. Especially TFC. I felt this book didnt need 2 sequels and would’ve been just fine on its own, but whatcha gonna do. Carlton is forever my fav, and it’s the first time we really learn about Henry AND it was the first time we got a name for our Purple Guy: William Afton!
Sister Location: I like this one for just how bold of a game it was. I’m also including SL’s Custom Night wrapped into this package. Jam packed with lore, our first (main) game with VOICE ACTING, and honestly the humor has no right being as good as it is. I love how this not only expanded on the crying child from 4′s story, but also gives us so much Elizabeth and Michael content. The gameplay has a lot of unbalanced features and feels a little too over the place at times, but I appreciate where it was going with it!
FNaF World: ... This one is pure personal bias. A lot of people don’t like it. I adore it. Honestly I love the cute overworld, I love beating up enemies as my favorite animatronics, I love the horror, nihilism, and lore shoved into this game alongside SO MUCH humor. Update 2 was nothing short of an absolute delight and... wait, no!!! FNaF World had our first voice acting!!! So many endings and nods to other games Scott’s made, a cool scene with Desk Man/Henry and Baby, just... muah. Good content. Also Scott 57 <3

Ultimate Custom Night: Name a better way to end the Afton Saga, I’ll wait. It’s so obvious how much time, thought, and care went into this one. I love how the game rewards you with funny cutscenes the higher scores you get, and I just! So much voice acting! I love how each preset- no, each character has their own moves so every time you do a certain mode, you need to learn to manage them all and get a good strategy. I like how it’s way more strategy and skill than the RNG that many previous games had. Also, Scott!!! You managed to put this into the LORE by making it William’s hell, MUAH, couldnt have done it better!!!
FNaF 2: This one might have bias for being the peak of the fandom, but it was one of the greatest times to be in that fandom. Freaking out over the trailers, theories galore, prequel vs sequel, and just... so good. 1 didn’t have much plot, 2 DID. 2 had more mechanics and strategy to it than 1, and gave us over twice as many characters! We finally got a “face” to our killer, Mr. Purple Man, and how could I ever complain about more Phone Guy~? This one also introduced the 8-bit minigames, which became a HUGE staple for the series! Perfect expansion of the first!
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator: The PERFECT blend of old and new gameplay. The salvage scenes are intense, the nights had a great balancing mechanic of juggling doing tasks while also avoiding animatronics, multiple endings, and a neat tycoon segment to give the player a breather... but with LORE!!! Midnight Motorist is easily one of the best tracks in the series. Also has a GREAT canonical ending, when(with paired with UCN), ties the plots of 1-6 SO nicely with a neat bow.

FNaF 1: Okay. From a personal and gameplay standpoint, I was going to put this much lower. Like B or C. That being said... this has to go in S. Yes, it has the least lore and arguably the worst gameplay(too much RNG for 4/20 mode), but this was the game. I can’t even exaggerate when I say just how much FNaF changed not only the gaming community, but especially the horror and indie communities. So many names got big from this: Markiplier, Dawko, Game Theory, The Living Tombstone, DA Games, SCOTT HIMSELF, just to name a few!!! And to think, this was originally going to be Scott’s last game! FNaF changed gaming HISTORY, and I think that alone makes this title deserving of S.
FNaF VR, Help Wanted: Okay, personal bias time, but I truly think VR deserves this S. Seeing Glitchtrap for the first time incited a panic in me that I hadn’t felt since FNaF 1 and 2. You get FNaF 1-4 in one, all in VR, WONDERFUL character models that you can WATCH MOVE!!! SO many minigames and fun challenges to play, so many neat knickknacks to collect, the Halloween update is FANTASTIC. The introduction of some great characters, such as: Glitchtrap, Vanny, Tape Girl, Dreadbear, Grim Foxy, etc!!! There’s also just- something so nice about being able to see every office and the pizzeria in 3D spaces where you can look around! Just from a gameplay and environment standpoint, this was an AMAZING addition and deserves the S.

Ooh of a favorite fandom? In Undertale and Deltarune I technically if I was the plauer entity in-universe, I could last as long as I wanted, because the power to reset and continue is diegetic. However even if I have the possibility, I don't know if i'd have the willpower to do those teacup things before Spamton WHILE having a metanarrative crisis. I would survive Undertale Pacifist though. And that's considering i'm the player, as a character I would probably ball my way through both games.
My other favorite fandom is Ace Attorney, knowing me I'd be accused of murder every other week but I believe in the defense attorneys.

Yes for her story and how she's portrayed even then, as for her curse? It's a double edged sword, there's an obvious limiting world for her if anyone that looks at her is turned into stone, but in a way it's also protective, especially when i think some interpretations say that it's specifically men she turns into stone? Take that with a grain of salt.
Long story short, I don't feel bad for her because of her curse, more for how she got it and how it's less touched upon in official organizations and such.

I don't have an OTP, but some songs from The Crane Wives remind me an awful lot of Ceroba from Undertale Yellow, and since most of the lyrics are directed at someone i've interpreted them as Chujin or sometimes Starlo, platonic or otherwise.

I binge watched all of MatPat’s FNaF theories last night, and let me tell you, after going back over the story and assessing where we are now, the more I feel like the Afton arc makes more sense if you kick 4 from the timeline. Just that one change. The son going out to undo what the father wrought flows more naturally without trying to figure out what the fuck happened in that game.
I’m definitely of the opinion that Mike is an android because the series undeniably strayed further into Cyberpunk towards the end of that arc, and the books (ZOMFG!!HERETIC!) echoed that theme hard with TFC and the way it ended, not to mention how a lot of material started centering around Mike’s identity and even calling it into question (Survival Logbook). Charlie’s identity was very much shaken when she found out she was an android, and it was treated as a major moment, and she had to reconcile that information in her mind, the decision of which ends the whole series. Mike has a similar moment when he realizes that it’s very incorrect for him to still be alive, resolves to find William, and shuts down everyone’s mess in the maze fire. Those characters both take that pivotal reveal, reclaim their lives as their own instead of lamenting the validity of their existence, and end the horror show on their own terms.
I have to be honest, though: I don’t hate 4. I loved the focus on storytelling and especially the greater emphasis on the Commodore-style minigames. They were my favorite addition to the series (still are!), and did an amazing job at minimalist storytelling that used silence to their advantage when setting up atmosphere. The issue with 4? Now that I think about it, probably the fact that it had to have the Nightmare animatronics in it in the first place. If 4 was just a Commodore-style game focusing on a child who got killed by a freak accident at an arcade, that would have made a lot more sense and had a lot more focus. Take a close look at how everything falls into chaos when that color-pack of enemies has to be explained and placed in the story. If that kid was just having trauma-induced nightmares and hallucinations up until his death, we wouldn’t have to contend with the micro-discs, who made them, the house monitoring scenario, and all that other cruft. Since the Nightmares had to be made physical just to contrast with 3, we have all of these extra details.
What I like about this new arc we’re entering into is that, not only are we clear of all of that baggage and are starting anew, the series also seems to be going back to it’s Cassette-Futurist roots, focusing on 80′s-90′s aesthetics and technology, and telling a character-focused story from the ground up to avoid the pitfalls and plot contention of the first arc. It will probably genre-shift into Cyberpunk and transhumanism once again, since that’s baked into the already-seeded story right now, but at least people won’t reject it as hard when or if it happens since it’s been there all along.
I don’t know why people fight so hard against stuff like Mi/keBot and the events of the books. Scott has shown his preferred plot leanings from the very beginning, and his stories always lean towards Dystopian Cyberpunk and some form of softcore identity death (Children in the suits becoming feral, Elizabeth becoming Baby, Ennard’s whole concept, the remnant mass from the end books, Charlie being a robot, Mike being surprised at being alive after being hollowed out by Ennard, the girl turning into a junk heap in FF1 [an actual hardcore example], and on and on). Why they pick and choose certain elements to “protect” from his standard mode of writing baffles me. Speaking of, this is also the third time Scott has said that the books are allowed for solving the game story and these kinds of fans have stiff-armed him. Nobody is trying to place officer Clay or John in the games, so that strawman can be dropped. Seeing character motifs, small plot details, and bits of characterization mirrored between the books and the games is going to happen, because the overarching story is the same. And once again, Afton and Henry are canon immigrants. Any hard separation between the books and the games was shot by the time Sister Location came out because of those two characters being lifted straight from the books into the games. You can be a purist if you want, but I feel like you miss a lot of the fun of the series by trying to enforce that nobody thinks about the books and the games at the same time.

FNAF thoughts and timeline pontification
Been on a major FNAF kick lately and god damn it I want to solve this goddamn series. Spoilers abound. I’ll probably edit this post a lot if I think of something or get corrected on anything.
Bite of ‘83 victim/Crying child: I am of the mind that the BV and Michael Afton are one and the same, and that Michael is an android. Using the books as an example, the protagonist Charlie Emily (short for Charlotte) is discovered to be an android created by her father Henry. The real Charlotte Emily died as a very young child to William Afton, causing the relationship between Henry and Afton to fall apart--and Henry to build the Charlie androids before committing suicide. In the games’ canon, this could be the same--William had lost a child, and tells him “I will put you back together”. Literally.
We know this has to be William talking through Plushbear due to the Private Room in Sister Location having a Plushbear with a walkie-talkie by it, and by punching in 1-9-8-3 on the keypad, camera views of the house from FNAF4 appear on the desk monitors (also confirming FNAF4′s minigames took place in 1983).
Finally, there’s the issue of Nightmare Fredbear--if the CC is Michael, then it makes sense that he would draw NF in the Survival Logbook, which is all but confirmed to have been owned by him in-universe (why else would he draw casual bongos and the exotic butters in it, if it wasn’t him?), following a strong theory that Michael Afton is indeed the series’ overarching protagonist operating under pseudonyms (excepting Jeremy Fitzgerald, who WAS a totally different dude).
Elizabeth/Charlie/BV kill order: What makes the most sense to me is that either Elizabeth or Charlie were first to die. Elizabeth has to have died before CC because Plushbear tells the CC “NO! Don’t you remember what you saw?”, implying CC saw Elizabeth get captured by Circus Baby. This also makes sense for Nightmare Fredbear (as well as his black counterpart, the Nightmare) having a toothy abdomen--the CC knows about Baby’s snatching arm that extends from her abdomen. In this case, the CC isn’t a William victim--that was done by the CC’s unnamed brother (I’ll call him Foxybro because of his Foxy mask).
Charlie died sometime after that. We know she went on to inhabit the Puppet from both “Take cake to the children” in FNAF2 ,the Security Puppet minigame in FFPS, and the true ending of that latter game where Cassette Man/Henry outright addresses his daughter while images from those minigames are shown on screen. We know she is dead-set on protecting children because of what she learned while she was the Puppet and how she “gave life” to the original/withered robots by placing their souls into them.
Alternatively, Charlie was the second to die after Elizabeth, as William was beginning his research into Remnant and how it basically acts like soul glue--Charlie was just an unfortunate victim as he went about trying to get research subjects.
FNAF4 regular gameplay: I believe that the regular nights in FNAF4 are taking place in 1993 while Michael is operating under the name “Mike Schmidt”. He’s having recurring nightmares about the mascots, and again I refer to Nightmare Fredbear’s toothy abdomen. He remembers what happened to his sister.
During the night, a low pitched voice can be heard: this is a pitched-down and reversed form of the night 1 phone call from the first game. It’s important to note that Scott didn’t put these Easter eggs into that game for no reason. Why would a young child know about that phone call? Why would he know Bonnie and Chica’s habits of coming in through the left and right respectively if he’d never been in a Freddy’s security office? And then there’s the changing objects to the side of the bed--implying a hospital visit. Michael knows the robots are trying to get to him while he takes the night shift at the FNAF1 location, and the regular gameplay in FNAF4 is the nightmares he’s having when not there. And again, the Survival Logbook is strongly implied to have been owned by Michael Afton, and he drew Nightmare Fredbear in it. He wouldn’t have known what NF looked like if he wasn’t the CC.
Michael being an android: Baby alludes to this in Sister Location, telling him “You won’t die” shortly before he is scooped--and the scooper makes a more metallic impact sound when he is. (This could simply be because Scott generally doesn’t do outright gore in FNAF, Springtrap notwithstanding, but still...)
Of course, the scooper also injects Remnant, as stated in the blueprint of it seen during the Insanity ending of FFPS. Also how he was able to survive Ennard controlling his body, and when he rises after Ennard bails out, he has pinprick eyes just like the robots do. And while he’s on the ground, he is recalling Baby telling him he wouldn’t die just before he rises back up.
Eh...it all points to Michael Afton being an android like Charlie is in the books. There’s no way a normal human could have survived all that.
Michael and William looking similar: Why are the possessed robots so dead set on getting to Michael? They think he looks like his father. Michael himself confirms this in his monologue after completing the Golden Freddy preset on V. Hard: “They didn’t...recognize me at first, but then...they thought I was you.”
Phone Guy also alludes to the robots not being able to recognize adults in the night 4 call of the second game: “Someone may have tampered with their facial recognition systems...we’re not sure. But the characters have been acting very unusual, almost aggressive towards the staff. Uh, they interact with the kids just fine, but whenever they encounter an adult, they just...stare.”
The robots believe Michael is William because they can’t tell the difference between them and no longer trust any adult, and that is a big part of why they are so determined to end him. (In the Toys’ case, they aren’t possessed--they’re just malfunctioning or possibly being manipulated by the Puppet.)
William Afton’s deeds: The robots (missing children) are aware that William used a Spring Bonnie suit (one of the springlock suits) to lure kids into the safe room and kill them out of sight. This is confirmed by FFPS on the third and final round of Fruity Maze, where a man in a Spring Bonnie suit tells the little girl playing the game “He’s not dead...He is over here. Follow me.”
It’s also alluded to in FNAF2 during the night 6 phone call: “Someone used one of the suits. We had a spare in the back--a yellow one--someone used it...now none of ‘em are acting right.” Although this is meant to be the player’s cue that Golden Freddy is active, we know about the Spring Bonnie suit from FNAF3.
The Missing Children Incident: This has to be the reason the safe rooms were sealed off. Fazbear Entertainment knew the kids had been taken in there, but would rather have saved PR face than own up to anything. So they just sealed off the rooms hoping it wouldn’t happen again. They’re not known for their integrity...
This is alluded to during the Night 5 phone call from FNAF3: “The safe room is reserved for equipment and/or other property not being currently used and is in fact a safety location for employees only. This is not a break room, and should not be considered a place for employees to hide and/or congregate - and under no circumstance should a customer ever be taken into this room and out of the main show area.”
And in the same phone call, it’s confirmed that the Spring Bonnie suit was used: “Management has also been made aware that the spring Bonnie animatronic has been noticeably moved.” The springlock suits had been decommissioned by that point.
In the Nightmare/Night 6 phone call, you are informed that the safe rooms were sealed off due to “budget restrictions”. Yeah, by now we should know that Fazbear Entertainment is not particularly honest, as evidenced by: “Management also requests that this room not be mentioned to family, friends or insurance representatives.“ Again, they knew damn well what happened in the safe room, and chose this rather than properly address the issue. While Phone Guy himself may not have been fully aware of all this, upper management sure as hell was.
This is all very likely why the Toys no longer trusted adults--especially not the Puppet/Charlie, who knows damn well what’s really going on. Phone Guy knows the Puppet is watching: “To be honest, I never liked that puppet thing. It was always...thinking, and it can go anywhere...”
Michael trying to set the children free: It’s heavily implied we are once again playing as Michael in FFPS. If you die to Scrap Baby, she might say “You’re not who I expected to see...” and when Scraptrap is in the vents, he may remark “You may not recognize me at first, but I assure you...it’s still me.” Upon killing the player, he can also remark “Bittersweet...but fitting.”
Henry (Cassette Man) also makes remarks about this during the true ending: “Although there was a way out planned for you, I have a feeling that’s not what you want. I have a feeling you are right where you want to be.” Michael is sticking around, not only so he and the children can finally be released from a decades-long un-life, but to make sure daddy William goes down with them. When Henry and Michael die, they die ready for it.
And if it’s to be believed that Michael is the overarching protagonist, he is following behind his father, attempting to undo his crimes and set the children free--the pink slip received after completing FNAF1 and 2′s custom nights mention “Tampering with the animatronics” as a reason he gets fired.
Finally, if he’s the guard in FNAF3, the implication could be that Michael is the one who tried to burn down Fazbear’s Fright, in an attempt to end his father for good. (It didn’t work.) He did not do this right off the bat because he was busy trying to set the kids free (the minigames) It wasn’t until FFPS where the kids, Michael, and Henry finally were able to rest in peace--except William (Scraptrap), who is outright told he’s going to Hell and not to keep the devil waiting.
Takeaways: Michael Afton is the CC and is remade as an android. Elizabeth died first. We still have Mrs. Afton and Foxybro unaccounted for. William Afton killed the kids to get subjects for Remnant research. Michael is the overarching series protagonist up until FFPS. I still can’t figure out Midnight Motorist. Jeffery Epstein did not kill himself. All your base are belong to us.

Hi hey yes hello, i have rebuilt this og from the ashes of it's former self because i am slowly and (not so) reluctantly crawling back to this fandom, oops. Also, this is about my 3rd time recreating this post because my drafts dont seem to want to legitimately save so rip me i guess ahaha Okay so basically i came up with a William Afton theory while doped up on anxiety and lidocaine after getting some stitches on my finger (shattered phone screens are no joke, kiddos) and for some reason i am super eager to share it. Please bear in mind that I have't gotten to actually read the books or anything yet so i may be a little off on my info, but i'm going off of stuff that i have personally seen and several other accounts of the lore told throughout the fandom. Right, so basically after i got my stitches, i was told that my medical summary report would get a "purple stamp" on it, so that when i go back to have them removed (or if something goes wrong and i need to come back sooner) then the stamp would allow me to be immediately seen and allow me to surpass the waiting room. To my knowledge, William Afton survibed a springlock suit incident which left him covered head to toe in deep scars. (Not the incident in FNaF 3 wherein he died in the suit and became Springtrap, but the one the phone guy mentioned that caused the retirement of the springlock suits and the order not to touch them. I believe that one was covered more in the books) He survived a deadly situation out of sheer dumb luck, but the injuries leaving the scars would require intensive medical care and followups for AT LEAST a year, maybe more, to make sure things were healing okay and no complications were arising. If the medical code for being seen immediately for injuries needing follow-up care is purple, it would make sense for the color to be associated with him, especially around the time of the springlock accident. The springlock accident happened around the time of many of the older restaurants, which is where he was most commonly seen in the minigames through the series. Michael is also represented by the color purple (granted this was mainly post-decomposition, but bear with me). He is theorized to have been the bite victim/crying child, which caused him to need intensive and heavy medical care (as represented in the 4th game) He and William are the only afton family members represented by the color purple, and both needed significant medical care for life-threatening injuries. (Taking Elizabeth and the older brother into account, as William's wife isnt really ever represented in the games) Soooo I dunno haha do with this what you will, it may not be as mindblowing as it seemed to my panicked mind but i thought i'd share regardless! Do with it what you will!
