I ended up hate-watching Bad Guy My Boss.

Not only was there emotional abuse, a half-assed request for consent, and imbalanced power dynamics, but the masc lead was a massive a-hole.

Was it spicy? Yes. But his idea of romance is ordering a 3-course seafood dinner for his allergic assistant, and telling him to cancel all of his appointments with his long list of fuck buddies, except for a longstanding one with a guy who is clearly trying to be upgraded to boyfriend status. So thoughtful.

By the halfway point, it became a glorified beverage commercial. And then, in the end, he says he'll prove his love for him by having sex with him multiple times a day because that'll ensure he has no stamina to have sex with anyone else. I- 🤦🏾‍♀️

If you found any of this behavior charming, I hope you make better romantic partner choices IRL. 🫣

#11: Breakup that should've stayed broken up

There's recency bias all over this post because I just typically can't remember break ups in shows. None of them left a big impact I guess. The only one in this list that I didn't see recently (last in the list) is the only one that did stick with me.

My Stand-In: Joe & Ming

As much as I loved the messiness of the show, Joe should not have taken Ming back,  Ming is terrible!

Bad Guy My Boss: Fei Long & Run

Elyse and Pat seemed to enjoy their issues (freak4freak there), but even though Fei Long and Run have similar freaks, their relationship seems like too much work for the payoff. Even in the extra ep Fei Long is being a child and Run had to soothe his ego.

Every You Every Me: Inn & Pun

Oh my god, guys, just give up. Go your separate ways, find better partners, ugh. I loved everything about the show except them.

Jack O Frost: Ritsu & Fumiya

I support second chances, and I enjoyed the show, but what are the odds it will actually work out this time when it didn't the first time because of who they both are?

Of all the things I don't believe, it's watching two grown men tell us that a SINGLE 90G INSTANT NOODLE (the usual weight for MAMA instant noodles) can nourish them after (what I presumed is an) intense bout of "workout" prolly tops that list 😂😂😂

Bad Guy, My Boss has given me a blessing by offering up these two color-coded pendejos in love one more time.

And of course the Black Brooder Elyes is getting frisky under the table with his Heavenly Human Pat.

And on top of his desk.

And on the kitchen table.

Elyes wants his man every minute of every day because this pendejo is in love.

So now that he is on the same page with Pat not only regarding color, but about his love, they are enjoying their boyfriend era.

However, Fei Long is still pressed that Run and Elyes are friends.

But they, too, are on the same page in color and love, so Run knows his man is just acting up because he wants Run's hands on neck.

So now that everyone is happy (with their kinks), it's time for the special episode to gave me what I came for!

THE PROPOSAL!

As someone who does not believe in marriage, I will always root for a proposal in these BLs because why would I settle for Elyes and Pat living blissfully as boyfriends when I could have them as husbands threatening to divorce each other every other month as Run gently reminds Elyes that he didn't have Pat sign a prenup while Fei Long aggressively reminds Pat that Elyes didn't make him sign a prenup and he knows a good lawyer or six.

So basically,

SECOND SEASON WHEN?!

Give me these pendejos as husbands, RIGHT NOW!

Now, do I know if he's a good actor? No, I don't because Bad Guy My Boss was NOT a good show as far as acting and writing. Do I WANT to know if he is?? Hell yes i do! Give him a leading role okay???

Not sure why I haven't dropped this series when I still had the chance because atm, I definitely regret wasting time watching how much of an idiot Elyse is, especially in the latter eps.

I wouldn't mind if he live up to the title, "bad guy". But mostly, he is an idiot and I don't think I can forgive that 😒. Fei Long seems to be more deserving of the title, if I'm being honest.

Don't get me wrong, Pat is no better but I think, having an obvious masochistic streak, his idiotic tendencies are more forgiveable.

Also, I keep harping on this, but justice (and pay raise) for Ms. Aom for making her deal daily with an idiot.

Now I can finally remove this series from my watchlist 😑

What a mess with Pat & Elyes that kiss with Kim went on a little too long the fact that Elyes didn't even stop for a while they should have ended it with them not being together because the whole basis of the relationship is horrible horrible communication no trust a disaster waiting to happen

Not enough Run and Fei in this episode but I'm so glad they've come to an understanding with each other Fei is never going to take anything for granted when it comes to Run again I just know their communication/trust is going to be so much more better

They'll still have elements that are true to who they are with each other but when it comes to everything else they're definitely going to work on that specially Fei
