Ghosts can retreat to their core when they’re hurt enough. Really, when they’re close to a second death, or in such distress that they risk shattering themselves. They, for lack of better term, hibernate until it’s safe for them reform, and continue on their way. 

Halfas are a little… different. 

See, technically, they can’t die. One half will end up healing or reviving the other. But, they can still retreat to their core. The issue comes from well, the living half, that is, the half still made of flesh and bone. Which unlike ectoplasm, cannot shift and meld at will, and in fact? Most if not all of it is, once more for lack of better term, shed. 

Meaning that halfas, should they retreat to their core emerges with the body noticeably… smaller. 

Now of course they keep their memories, their core would never forget after all, unlike the brain which relied on more… fleshy means. Not that the current halfas were exactly aware of that fact when they instinctively did so in self preservation. They are… not pleased upon their emergence. 

The woman who stole their cores- which were apparently sold as gemstones what the fuck- is… definitely not happy either. And- okay that is not their english, where the fuck did they end up-

There was something unsettling about the Masters couple. The two of them could not seem to be able to stand the other and looked like they would vomit the second someone called them spouses. Tim would think it would be a hasty marriage after an accidental baby that ended in hatred if it wasn't for the second child. The hatred between them was not the unsettling part. 

What was unsettling was out of the corner of their eye they could not look human. He could swear he could see the glow of lazarus green in their eyes whenever they seem to have stronger emotions. the eyes would not turn green, their eyes just seem to Glow with the color. 

Tim tried to ask someone if they saw it but none seemed to see it. 

Tim would tell Bruce at the end of the gala. 

Bruce was off playing Brucie and was having fun antagonizing both Lex Luthor and Oliver Queen at the same time.

To be honest Tim had been quite boring before the Masters couples showed up. Vlad Masters at least seems to try and make it seem like he wants to be there. his wife on the other hand looks like she has much better things to do. 

she could Rival Damian with the look of contempt on her face. She seems to try and  sneak off to talk to the green energy representatives  but Vlad Masters keeps dragging her back. Every time Tim keeps trying to overhear their conversations the sound they speak doesn't seem to be English or any other language he's ever learned though. It does sound familiar. Tim has no idea why. 

Tim does not know if the two of them are human. Most signs point to yes but he could also be paranoid. He is paranoid but he doesn't know if he's paranoid about this. 

He has nothing better to do at the gala anyways

Bruce: The most Nepo Baby of the Nepo Babies

Type of day when he pretends he has a hangover to not deal with their bs. The peace inside the company is all Lucius works.

He does not accept criticism.

The Gotham Knights' hoodie is Dick's or Jason's, and was in the kitchen that morning when Bruce ran late for the meeting.

Rip to the (paid) intern that was terrified to bring documents to THE Bruce Wayne and found themselves stuck in his office, listening to him telling stories about his kids for hours.

"I don't understand why we need to make more money, we're already rich." (he's talking about the highers up)

Just a bunch of doodled memes of how I believe Bruce Wayne acts with his company. He is not a capitalist, he doesn't care about making more profit and doesn't understand finance.

If you think Brucie Wayne is just an act, talk to Lucius Fox, who has to endure Bruce' antics at WE. The man whines like a child about having to speak to any shareholders, he has to be dragged to meetings. In Bruce's eyes, his job is "using the company's money to improve the people's life", "talking about his kids" and "being a pain in the ass of the highers up". If someone is trying to kill Bruce Wayne, 50% of chances some WE shareholder or board member ordered the kill because they are tired of him stopping them from playing the game of capitalism. His other employees love him, tho. There aren't janitors as well treated than the ones working for Wayne.
