i started watching gravity falls the other day and was inspired to make a pair of siblings that experiences weird paranormal stuff on a daily basis.

cowplant-pizza adoptions is introducing our first ever horse! dot was found as a wild horse with a terrible, life threatening injury! luckily we brought her in and restored her to health. she now loves sim interaction so much that she is up for adoption, as she would get to close to poachers and dangerous sims in the wild.

Courtney: There, they’ll be dry in a little while-.. Robin won’t mind you borrowing those until then. You sure you don’t want a bath or something, honey? [Levi glanced at Courtney stiffly, shaking his head] Courtney: It must’ve been scary, huh? Levi: I guess. Courtney: I almost drowned when I was little too. Levi: Really? Courtney: Yeah, I think I was about your age-.. maybe a bit younger. Levi: What happened? Courtney: Well.. no one was really watching me properly and it was in the holidays, so it was busy; I kinda got smushed between a bunch of older kids and their rubber rings. Luckily the lifeguard noticed in time-.. she was nice, let me sit with her for a while. I didn’t go near that pool again for the whole summer. [Levi forced a polite smile lest he burst into tears at the thought-.. though after tonight’s events and Courtney’s story, he figured he wasn’t that weird to be terrified of drowning] Courtney: Why don’t you stay here tonight? It’s getting pretty late. Levi: You’d let me? Courtney: Sure! As long as your parents don’t mind. Adopt Horse Off the Grid Bugfix

I always knew this day would come... the day when EA's unbelievable laziness would push me to finally make my own mods, and today is the straw that broke the horse's back...

There's a really annoying bug in TS4 that locks all interactions involving buying/adopting horses when playing on a lot with the "Off the Grid" lot trait. I don't know about you, but as someone who really wanted to play an off the grid ranch, this pissed me off. 🥴 You can still acquire a horse by traveling to the Equestrian Center, but I don't wanna sit through a loading screen when... it should just work. After all, why does the community board need an internet connection?!

This bug also applies to adopting cats, dogs, and tiny humans, but luckily there's already a mod to fix that, which you can find here. There was, however, no mod to my knowledge that re-enabled these interactions for horses, and the thread on the EA forum post about this bug is pretty much dead on arrival, so I took matters into my own hands. The best/worst part? It took me barely five minutes to fix 😂 So I thought I'd share the mod here for anyone else who is feeling as frustrated as I was about this.

This mod simply re-enables the Adopt/Purchase Horse interactions on the computer, phone, horse bed, and Chestnut Ridge community board when playing off the grid. Enjoy!

Should be compatible with everything; This mod is a raw tuning file with 0 scripts, only alters the tuning for specific interactions involving adopting/buying a horse, and I didn't encounter any issues playing with it in my absurdly large mods folder. That being said, if you have any issues, let me know.
