Hrmm !! I still haven’t thought up this far yet, but I did think Gerson could’ve figured it out in one glance at Trickster and he would’ve laughed and joke about it while Trickster’s surprised out of his poor soul when he just wanted to buy stuff from the shop HAHAHA

Other than that, I don’t think many monsters figured his identity out (since he’s very careful with keeping his identity hidden, he uses his mask a lot when there are too many monsters in the area around him) other than some of the dog guards that were on duty at that era, I’d like to think Trickster and the older generation dog guards (maybe some of the the current ut dog guards) had a good relationship with each other and actually worked well together!

For Snowdin, Trickster is a local hero, troublemaker that they don’t know much about but have probably seen him at the distance before, some complain about him, some admire him, some roll their eyes away from him, some just want to curse him but also thank him for the tricks he pulls and the help he gives and hahaha so much more! What’s common is that they all love him in their own way hahaha (I’m still thinking about it, It’s still pretty much a WIP hehe)

I’m glad you like his design! I tried to make him look cool but cozy at the same time, with that mysterious but also mischievous look I guess?? IDK LOL I rlly tried to make him look whimsical at times :’D He’s just a fella fr hehe..

Undertale Sans - Cool. He wouldn't mind more than this, but he's still glad you trust him enough to tell him. That's a rare gift you have there. He's a little nervous about other people finding out though, as he doesn't want you to get in trouble with your people.

Underswap Sans - He's so going to learn you to make bones bullets so you two can do couple attacks. He always wanted to do couple attacks like Undyne and Alphys do! Now he's the one who's going to make them jealous!

Ink - Yeah, and...? What, doesn't everyone know how to do that? He's confused. He's pretty sure everyone knows how to do this? He always assumed all humans could?

as a sans is from Deltarune truther what do you think about the. implications of papyrus remembering green grass pre snowdin times

well, my engines are whirring and roaring like a sports car in the hands of a cucked mid-life crisis ridden 50 year old, as you might imagine. I've heard some folks interpret it as him referring to the patch of grass from the papyrus' cool song kickstarter promo, but he explicitly mentions that song earlier in the q&a and sans doesn't cut him off to prevent him from answering the question like he does in the final one. so yeah. I think that green grass is not UT native grass, HAHAHA.

i think the q&a pretty much seals it for me that wherever they came from, sans and papyrus came from there together (how else would sans be able to finish the question for him) which. WOOH. weight off of my chest, honestly. i was getting worried, what with the possibility of them being biologically different and papyrus not being included in sans' lore/character arc about moving on.

... actually, that is another matter that the q&a has opened up.

answering "what was your life before you moved" with "there was green grass" is... a weird choice of words. of course, the obvious doylistic explanation for it is that toby wanted to drop a hint without spoiling anything more, and the result sounded a bit clunky in its execution. but if there IS a watsonian, in-universe explanation for that weirdness, i wonder if he might be struggling to remember his past? because sans is obviously still homesick and misses his old friends, he tried to go back for a very long time (boy did he try) before giving up, and he has grieved his old life for a WHILE. papyrus doesn't really have anything similar in his character arc. he's lonely, yes, but he doesn't really miss anyone. and those few times when he does hint to the past, it's always related to sans. specifically, I'm thinking of the winter alarm clock where he literally can't remember the last time sans got to celebrate the holidays with a lot of friends (friends we know for a fact he had, and that he misses. a lot.)

sooo...... question mark??? it could be that papyrus doesn't remember something of their past that sans does, or it could be just a weird choice of words on Toby's end. I'm especially intrigued by sans shutting the question down. i wonder what his deal is.

It's good old fashioned skelebros with Frisk, found family, and LOTS of hurt/comfort. Frisk needs so many hugs... Three Roads Diverged by CatKing_Catkin - (RATED T)

A genocide route (with a happy ending!) oneshot that I love. Sweet, sweet old fashioned angst and pain...

10 Skeletons With 1000 Years to Go - Birds_And_Words - (RATED T)

In terms of vibes and themes, this is definitely one of the closest I've ever read to Heart on the Table! I am OBSESSED with this story. It's not actually Frisk centric - it's about Sans and Papyrus (who are kids in this story), and the adults around them (the AU Sans and Papyri) fucking up and hurting them, and then scrambling to fix their mistakes when they realize how old the brothers are... It's a very similar premise to HotT!

I absolutely love all of them so much and I want to hug them all desperately!

UT Mob by nyublackneko - (And the comic dub)

Okay, this one isn't a fic, I admit it. But if we're looking for skelefamily and protective skelebros, it would be a CRIME not to talk about this one!

One day, on his way home, Papyrus finds a little puppy... that isn't quite a puppy. Still, he and Sans keep their new child :) And we get LOTS of good hurt/comfort here, too.

One of my favorite undertale series ever!! So much found family and hurt comfort... do you like skelebros with frisk? well buckle up, because you're able to see a BUNCH of them as Frisk goes through the universes and collects brothers like pokemon... (My How To: series was actually inspired by this series! It took on a life of it's own, but there are still many nods to RGO for inspiring its creation.)

But I would be completely and utterly remiss to not mention one of the most heart wrenching skelebros take care of Frisk fics ever. Frisk has a lot of lingering trauma that's come to revisit them in the present... but the brothers are there for them!

This fic was inspired by Heart on the Table, and GOSH, I adore it so much. It's absolutely wonderful to get to read protective skelebros with Frisk... and an equal focus on Papyrus, Frisk, and Sans equally!

Most skelefam fics tend to have Papyrus as a perfect supporting character with little to no character arc or flaws, and just have him as the cool uncle/brother to Sans and Frisk who get all the character and relationship development time. THIS IS NOT THAT KINDA FIC! Genuinely, I'm pretty sure it's one of the first skelefamily fics that I've read where Papyrus is given just as much care and character arc as Sans and Frisk are.

To end it off, I also wanna point to all of the wonderful fics linked at the end of Heart on the Table in the "Fics Inspired by" section. They're all SO SO SO GOOD and I've read and recommend all of them!

That's gonna be it for now! I know there are fics out there I forgot to bookmark that are similar... there's one where Frisk fell into the underground as a baby and Sans takes care of them, and I'm pretty sure I read a oneshot about pacifist Frisk's trauma that I adored, back when I very first got into the fandom, but for the life of me I can't find it again... Dangit.
