Can't use the dreamscape to escape it either because he keeps trying to save him and either he does and it's an incredibly cruel trick to wake up to, or he doesn't and he gets his heart broken in several different pieces again.

There is no convincing this man that Shen Qingqiu is dead. Absolutely nothing at all. He is buried so deep in denial that moles would be jealous of how deep he is. He keeps making tea for two in the bamboo house only to remember that it's just him. SQQ's fans are hiding everywhere, little reminders of his presence. He goes to wake up SQQ on the mornings he sleeps in-- only to find the room empty.

btw i feel like this shouldn't have to be said but the reason that agatha hates rio is because agatha didn't get to say goodbye to nicky. rio couldn't offer her any more time. and, in rio's mind, nicky going peacefully in his sleep (and even telling him to turn around and kiss agatha goodbye!!) is the one grace rio feels she can give agatha. nicky doesn't suffer. he doesn't fight. he just...goes. he goes on a walk with his mother and kisses his mama goodbye. but agatha doesn't get to say goodbye!!! she doesn't get those final moments with him!! she wakes up and he's already gone.

Imagine making a game series where your past decisions shape the history of your world and even can decide who might show up in a later game from time to time, that you even had a special site to log the changes. Just to reduce the 'big decisions' to . . . that.

I mean, I'm happy for a particular group of people who probably feel vindicated but there's more than just them playing the game. Not to be 'what about the rest of us' but you know . . .

Losing the power of the anchor and the arm along with it was one thing. Losing control Rook's personality just to tell this specific story of 'Solas seeing himself in them' is another. And now to have everyone's world states revolve around events that directly affected him?

This is a choice-driven role-playing game. Every route and origin should feel complete. There should be no path that feels more canon than the other. Not because of ~appeasing every shipper~ but because of replay value, immersion, and having cool community discussions coalesce around the world and not primarily one guy.

People are frustrated for perfectly good reason. And to not only be flippant about that but also sneer & giggle together over it is so petty, clique-ish, and mean-spirited. Its giving high school girls bathroom. It's not cute!

Bruce and Cass conversations are just Autism to Autism communication

One time they're going over a case together in the batcave with Dick and they keep getting more and more distressed despite the case being relatively straightforward until Dick with his years of Bruce deduction recognises the signs of electricity in the walls being too loud and goes to fix it. They both immediately relax and he's like "... You guys could have just SAID there was a high pitched sound bothering you." to which he receives matching looks of Bat:

He gives up, grumbling about how he should have just stayed in Bludhaven.

So recently I've decided I really wanted to rewatch golden wind after reading the rest of the parts, and since this time I wanted to give more focus to the animation, I decided to watch it in dub. As a result, when I got to this part in ep3, I realised the dub had elected to change what exactly Bruno had said, stating the words above instead.

This struck me as a bit of a wierd change until I then realised how much this moment foreshadows Fugos 'betrayal' at San Giorgio Maggiore; by having the only one not betraying the boss being the one who suffers what Bruno predicted.

I feel like this foreshadowing is honestly amazing, and also hits home at how Fugo feels later on in phf when thinking back to his actions as the pier. I feel like he really does think of his lack of movement as a failure towards Bucciarati, one he has to atone for and I think it's really interesting.

On top of that, I find it really fun how accurate Brunos words are to the situation as a whole, and I find it quite ironic that the one who suffers them isn't even betraying the boss like Bruno is describing, but rather Bruno himself.

Overall, I really like how this singular line foreshadows a moment episodes later, and how I can bring up how Fugo's opinions and feelings on the event are reflected in Bucciarati's words.

It’s just that Fingon’s like that stereotypical son who calls his mum and walks old ladies across the street, mows the lawn for his neighbours, brings home nice, pretty girls who want to be kindergarten teachers or something and is really passionate about some niche compassionate topic like children in poverty’s access to multiple sclerosis treatment and who everyone says is ‘such a nice boy’ but then he goes and dates the eldest kid of Mr. Stay Away From My Boys, Son, a flaming ginger who most people haven’t heard speak. And this is hilarious.
