so. saw you doing a fun game. ofc had to ask about something sooo *claps hands together* here we go, round 1! some of my favourite canon BO related cases: Roller Coaster Murder Case (Get Rekt Shin-chan), One Billion Yen Robbery Case, Hotel Party Murder Case (Pisco case), Suguru Itakura + Jewel thieves case, Halloween Party Murder Case, Black Organization Vs FBI Assassination Case (first Kir case).
Hiiiii 🩷 oh dear sorry to keep you waiting! But let's get this first one done!
So, my top I think would be something like this:
1. Halloween party murder case. DUDE. IT'S JUST- VERMOUTH. That's all I need to say. These episodes were amazing, full of tension at all times, I never got bored. There's no topping this for me.
2. Kir Case. I actually really freaking enjoyed the kir arc. It was all very intense too!
3. Roller coaster case. It can't be any lower, it's what started it all. The organization's biggest mistake. Leaving Shinichi alive.
4. One billion yen robbery case. Ugh. Akemiiiii 😭 please just thinking about it makes me so saad. The impact she had on Shinichi too was pretty fucking important.
5. Pisco case. It was good too! Gin did made me incredibly uncomfortable in here too. The way he visualizes and acts with ai is just- no.
This was difficult dude! Gosh, I actually had to think about it quite a lot HAHAHA
Thank you so much for the ask 🥰

Everybody vs. Teresa and the Narcissist
Death threats, threatening phone calls, hiring private investigators, and alleged conversations with the FBI.
One would think I was talking about RHOSLC.
But no. This behind-the-scenes drama has made the entire season irrelevant, and I blame Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas for that.
Well, mostly Luis.
He said one thing on the show and another at the reunion. He’s so two-faced that he forgets which personality he’s supposed to present half the time.
He cannot be trusted, and nothing can convince me that Luis isn’t behind all of this.
And it completely backfired on them, because they managed to make Margaret Josephs look better after the season with their ridiculous antics.
There’s something mesmerising to witness someone burning all their bridges. We saw it on the Vanderpump Rules reunion, and we see it at this reunion.
However, it blows my mind that Dolores Catania and Jennifer Aydin can continue to support Teresa and Luis after this reunion.
They should leave that team like rats from a sinking ship.
But Jennifer kept on supporting Teresa’s ridiculous accusations:
That Teresa had proof about who gave her up to the FBI. That Luis didn’t hire the private investigator.
Why is she co-signing this?! It’s ridiculous! Jennifer is loyal to a fault.
When I see them all at the reunion, it’s obvious that Andy Cohen adores Teresa and Joe Gorga.
There’s no way he’s going to fire one of them for next season.
While I don’t agree with what Joe and Melissa Gorga has posted on social media, or said on podcasts in very self-righteous ways, I feel bad for them.
I understand why Teresa’s daughter were mad at Joe and Melissa, like Jennifer said: “why can’t they just apologize for that comment”?
But in the big picture that’s nothing compared to what Luis and Bo Dietl has caused behind the scenes.
There wasn’t even any resolution to this mess, but it looked like Andy’s heart stopped when Luis went over to shake Joe’s and Frank Catania’s hands.
What did I say? He cannot be trusted. Not even to stay in his fucking chair.

Hello again! Your DCMK Santa is back!
I’m sorry for the tricky question!
And I agree that the ones that I manage to figure out myself are always fun ( °ω° )
One of my favorite tricks was from the “Everyone Saw” episode. Using the iPads to make the victim “kill themselves”. I was very happy to see that Gosho was using more modern technology in his cases!
This time I’ll ask: What’s your favorite BO case/episode and why?
Have a nice day!! (⌒▽⌒)
Speaking of how cases sort of merge together for me, I totaly forgot that one! I thought maybe it was an anime only case but nope...DCMK wiki proves me wrong ">> But watching the technology progress is definately one of the more interesting aspects of such a long series always taking place "now."
And I see you're paying attention to some of the things I filled in my sign-up survey XD I already aluded to the Halloween Party case and how much I just loved the identity misdirections, and it was one of the first MAJOR plot reveals. Clash of Red and Black is also pretty great for its epic scale as well and the Raven Chaser movie for it's over the top absurdity.
Smaller scale favorites of mine though would be: ~Black Organization vs. FBI but more for Akai's role in it (probably the moment I started to solidfy him as a fave) but also just the sheer "What If??" posibilities of if they had managed to off Kogoro. ~Contact with the Black Organization because of how legtimate of a threat Gin is to picking apart Conan's plans (I don't want to say it's the first time he's depicted as smarter than your generic criminal goon because I’m sure there were some smaller moments before it, but it's the earliest one that really stuck with me) Edit: NOPE! I got my timeline mixed up! The whole encounter with Ai at the hotel happened before this one. I still rank this case higher than that one on a personal favorite list though. ~FBI Serial Murder Case because who doesn't like the idea of camping out with half the Organization?? *much self aware sarcasm here* I'm super eager to seeing this one animated!

What are your thoughts on the latest case? It was quite explosive in terms of the amount of BO content we got, and RUM seems to have made a move! I’m curious whether your thoughts have changed in regards to RUM’s identity, or if they have been further reinforced because of this case. Thanks!
I think that this FBI serial murder case (essentially "Clash of Red & Black 2") is one hell of a fanservice & action-packed BO case similar to movie 20, but actually done correctly. We have been waiting for a moment like this where all BO members can shine, so no better timing than it happening in volume 100 ^.^
I do think however that we are currently in a prologe-ish portion of this case/plot (up to File 1063) when it comes to its relevance in the overarching Rum plot, since this is so far just a random operation born from a random mistake by a random FBI agent, but I do expect this case to change trajectory and progress ongoing/relevant plot in Rum arc, similar to how "Crimson School Trip" (File 1000-1005) lead to Shinichi public exposure, or even something like "Black impact" (File 499-504), where the misison changed from Domon to Kogoro midway.
As for Rum, I think this case has demonstrated to be the perfect way to showcase his leadership and strategizing skills. A thing I thought was perhaps a possible view into his personality was how he said "listen to me" in a polite/proper way (saying "kikinasai" rather than "kike"), which is commonly used among authorative women/teachers, although being a gender neutral term overall. I think that although Gosho's intent is to frame Rum as Wakasa Rumi, it could at the same time also be a hint to that Rum is a man who has polite mannerism similar to that of Iori Muga's, as an effeminate butler.

Hey I'm curious as to what you think is the clothing style for southwestern gothic? I was thinking something like graphic tees, denim shorts, a pair of weathered cowboy boots, black suits (kinda fbi Roswell reminiscent), and cowboy hats. Maybe some Bo Sinclair/Hills Have Eyes/Tremors kinda thing, too? Idk, what do you think?
What an interesting question! This is just my own associations with family from the southwest, so obviously it’s super subjective, but here’s my take:
I think first and foremost of a lot of red dust or clay stains on everything. I picture a dusty old leather or denim jacket, faded baseball cap (and yeah, that’s definitely where the Bo Sinclair comes in, or if you know the X-Files, I’m kind of picturing Krycek’s outfit in Tunguska), and beat up leather boots. A tank top in the summer, or a full suit without breaking a sweat if you want to throw in an out-of-place men in black kind of look—again, I imagine shiny vs. dusty shoes as a key distinction between a local and an eerie intruder.

Hmm... how about a hard one first? Or at least a hard one in my opinion- I always thought depending on the situation, it'd probably be a close one for these two. Gin vs. Shinichi/Conan. Who do you think would win by the end of it?
It is hard! I’m inclined to answer Shinichi, but honestly the reason why he survives - unharmed and well - from the whole BO chaos is because he isn’t alone in this fight. He has the FBI and his parents on his back. But in a one-on-one fight with Gin? I fear for the life of my boi. Especially when the one he’s up against doesn’t give a shit about moral compass, someone he cannot ‘talk down’ like any typical criminal in the series.
(War flashbacks to his dream in Movie 13. One pull of trigger and he’d be dead).
But then in the same Movie he also singlehandedly took down an entire helicopter with Gin and three other Organization members inside. While being showered with hundreds of bullets per minute. I mean. He did THAT. In such short span of time and while at the brink of death, he was still able to devise a plan with the limited items he had at that moment. Talk about guts and composure and BRAINS. (I know this isn’t canon, but in Conan universe, the craziest shit happens, especially with BO as the enemy).
So I agree, it is a tough choice and I cannot give a definite answer to this. 😅 The hopeful part of me of course roots for Shinichi, but let’s face it, it will be a difficult one-on-one battle. And I wouldn’t be surprised if in the process of defeating him, he endangers his life too.

Day 14: Favourite Books
1. Detektif Conan
Tanpa banyak berfikir langsung saya beli.
It’s all about fav-book so far!

5 Criminally Underrated Alan Parker Movies You Need to See
https://ift.tt/3a5pCp0
A working-class Londoner who started out in advertising, Parker knew how to play to the crowd but wasn’t afraid to take risks or challenge convention.
That was evident from his feature debut, Bugsy Malone, an inspired pastiche of Hollywood gangster films that saw Parker defy genre norms with the recruitment of an all-child cast wielding ‘Splurge’ guns firing whipped cream instead of bullets.
It was a decision that drew anger in some quarters with noted critic John Simon famously branding the film “an outrage” in New York Magazine.
“Wholesome youngsters have been duped into acting like adults,” he said, “stupid, brutal, criminal adults, at that.”
Bugsy Malone flopped in the US but Parker soon established himself stateside with Midnight Express and Fame, two box office hits and examples of Parker’s unrivalled versatility and habit of defying expectations.
In time, Bugsy Malone enjoyed critical reappraisal, emerging as a firm favourite with audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.
Over a varied and wide-ranging career, Parker is often remembered for crowd-pleasing efforts like The Commitments and Evita.
However, arguably his most fascinating work came when he took risks – as these five films attest.
Shoot the Moon
After the success of Fame, Parker was brought back down to earth with this underappreciated family drama which bombed at the box office despite earning rave reviews from critics.
Based on an early script from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest screenwriter Bo Goldman, Shoot the Moon centered on the crumbling marriage of George and Faith Dunlap and the impact their eventual separation has on their four children.
Goldman had unsuccessfully, pitched the movie to several major studios for nearly a decade before Parker got involved.
Together, they rewrote the script, drawing from personal experiences to depict the film’s deteriorating relationships and, crucially, recruited Albert Finney and Diane Keaton to star as George and Faith, respectively.
Arriving at a time when films like Ordinary People and Kramer vs Kramer were bringing divorce and family dysfunction to multiplexes, Parker’s film unfairly ended up lost in the shuffle.
It remains a powerful, if at times, deliberately difficult watch, bolstered by career-best turns from Finney and Keaton, whose emotionally raw performances earned them both Golden Globe nominations.
Birdy
Adapted from William Wharton’s acclaimed novel of the same name, Birdy was one of the first films to address the horrors of Vietnam, pre-dating the likes of Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July.
Matthew Modine stars as Birdy, a serial daydreamer left mentally shattered by Vietnam, who spends his days couped up in a mental hospital acting like a parakeet, visited daily by his wounded best friend Al (a young Nicolas Cage) who is determined to bring him back to reality.
Modine originally read for the role of Al by was convinced to take on the role of Birdy by Parker who correctly identified a “”introverted honest quality” to the star that was essential to making the character, who remains monosyllabic for much of the film, an endearing protagonist.
Told out of chronological order through flashbacks, Parker’s film is a dizzying odyssey through a damaged mind, addressing themes of friendship, obsession and the impact of trauma.
The filmmaker deploys a bag of tricks to bring this unique tale to life – Birdy is notable for being the first film to utilise Skycam technology, a computer-controlled cable-suspended camera system used to capture the moment Birdy imagines taking flight.
The result is his most complex and rewarding film, one that won the Grand Prix Spécial du Jury prize at the 1985 Cannes Film Festival.
Angel Heart
Like many of the surprise turns in Parker’s eclectic career, Angel Heart was greeted with mixed reviews and middling box office returns upon release in 1987.
That perception changed in the years that followed, with many now regarding it as Parker’s best film and certainly Mickey Rourke’s best performance.
Rourke is at his mesmerising best as Harry Angel, a 1950s private eye hired by Robert De Niro’s mysterious Louis Cyphre to track down a pop singer who owes a substantial debt.
As Angel’s investigation continues, however,it becomes apparent that something sinister is afoot, with every possible witness or lead ending up the victim of bloody, ritualistic murder.

Movies
Looking Back at Angel Heart
By Tony Sokol
Adapted from William Hjortsberg’s 1978 novel Falling Angel, Parker script saw the action move from the book’s original setting of New York to New Orleans.
That proved something of a masterstroke, imbuing the film’s already distinctive blend of film noir thriller and Satanic horror with a decaying Southern Gothic feel.
Though a controversial sex scene involving pints and pints of blood feels a touch unnecessary when watching the film back, Angel Heart is near enough a masterpiece; a moody, psychological thriller that has influenced countless filmmakers, with Christopher Nolan one noted admirer.
Mississippi Burning
Parker made a habit of playing fast and loose with the facts when it came to adapting non-fiction. Midnight Express previously drew criticism for its portrayal ofvTurkish characters, as well as for deviating from survivor Billy Hayes’ real-life story. However, it remains an engaging piece of filmmaking.
It’s a similar story with Mississippi Burning, which purports to be based on a real-life investigation into the killings of three civil rights activists in 1964 America but proved more fiction than fact and suffered at the hands of many critics as a result.
Leaving aside the debates over the film’s authenticity, Mississippi Burning still succeeds in shining a light on a dark period in American history, albeit from a distinctly white perspective.
It’s a vividly realised depiction of 1960s America, full of striking imagery that touches on issues of segregation in the south and the looming spectre of the Ku Klux Klan and its burning crosses.
While Gene Hackman and Willem Dafoe prove a magnetic duo as the film’s central pairing of older, more cynical, FBI agent and his younger, idealistic charge, the standout performance comes from Frances McDormand as the local deputy sheriff’s downtrodden housewife.
Come See the Paradise
Come See the Paradise divided critics upon release but is worth seeking out, at the very least for the fact it remains one of the only major studio movies to focus on the Japanese-American internment camps of the Second World War.
Dismissed by some as a sappy love story, Parker’s movie is more ambitious and complex than that; an interracial romance set against the backdrop of one of the most complex and ethically charged periods in American history.
A vividly-realised period piece, Dennis Quaid does solid work as Jack McGurn, the Irish-American projectionist who falls for his Japanese-American boss’s daughter only for them to end up separated in the ensuing conflict.
However, it’s the film’s other star-crossed lover, Tamlyn Tomita’s Lily, who proves most fascinating. Best known for The Karate Kid Part II at the time, Come See the Paradise had a personal edge for Tomita, whose father spent time in a real California internment camp.
Through Lily, Parker presents the stark human injustice faced by the interned, people who not only lost civil liberties but also their sense of identity. It’s just a shame Tomita is not afforded nearly as much screen time as Quaid.

9/27/2010-PCW Night of Champions: PCW Rewind
PCW Night of Champions PCW Hall Archbold, OH Monday September 27th, 2010 Host: Johnny Suave
Loud PCW chant as the show begins. ‘The Voice of PCW’ Johnny Suave welcomes everyone to PCW Night of Champions.
Johnny Suave and his life size cardboard cut-out of Shania Twain
*flute and clarinet flourish*
Two men come out and unroll a white carpet to the ring steps. Dancers then dance. Ballet dancers…ballet? Little children walk up the white carpet and drop rose petals. Someone lets loose some pigeons…not sure just how they’ll get out of the building. The crowd stands as PCW CEO Barack Obama appears. Behind Obama walks Joe Biden.
Obama and Biden climb into the ring accompanied by Hillary Clinton and Rahm-bo aka Rahm Emanuel.
Obama’s out because of the demands made by Axis of Evil leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
*ominous music plays*
Ahmadinejad, accompanied by Khalid-El, Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez with Fernando Venezuela, and North Korea’s Kim Jong-Il with Byung Hyung Kang, walk to the ring to a chorus of boos.
Ahmadinejad and the rest of the AoE climb into the ring. Ahmadinejad states he’s come to PCW to correct an injustice. An injustice towards one of his wrestlers that he feels needs to be addressed. Ahmadinejad complains that his wrestler, Khalid-El, is being passed over for a title shot in favor of a woman. He holds up a photo of Jill-Berg and turns to Obama. He calls it an outrage that this…woman…gets a shot at the PCW title instead of Khalid-El. Ahmadinejad then adds that this is to be expected from a country hose government orchestrated the 9/11 attack to reverse the declining American economy and its grips on the Middle East in order also to save the Zionist regime. The majority of the American people as well as other nations and politicians agree with this view.
At that point, Obama, Biden, HRC, and Emanuel leave the ring in protest as the crowd boos Ahmadinejad.
Ahmadinejad adds that the attack could have been the work of terrorists, supported by the U.S., which “took advantage of the situation” as more boos rain in. He again demands justice for Khalid-El and a title shot and wants his answer now. Then Ahmadinejad finally realizes that Obama et al have long since left the ring area and heads off to search for him.
Paige McGillicutty
Backstage, Paige McGillicutty talks with Triple R. He, too, complains. He doesn’t want to waste the time to wrestle Jill-Berg when it’s clear that he’ll wipe the ring up with her.
Kimber Marshall
Kimber Marshall introduces the first match of the night.
MATCH #1 FOR THE PCW TELEVISION TITLE Ken Worth- The American Trucker (I-American Heartland) (c) w/ Tequila Sheila vs. Doug ‘King Kong’ Kingman (R)
Summary Big PCW chant before the bell. Kingman and the American Trucker did some nice back and forth counter wrestling early. Kingman tried to use his power moves while Worth was effective in countering. Worth armdragged Kingman to the floor. Worth whipped Kingman into the steel guardrail. Worth nailed a missile dropkick off the top. Kingman came back with a lariat. Worth came back with a spinning kick, which connected after Kingman ducked twice and Worth kept spin kicking. Kingman went for a combination but was thwarted by Tequila Sheila and his steel blender. Back in the ring, Worth hit a North Star Press for a two count. Worth nailed a superkick but Kingman escaped a Jake Brake attempt. Kingman nailed the Combination but Worth kicked up. Kingman went to the top and motioned for the elbow, then missed when Tequila Sheila came over and pushed him off.
Kingman then took control, working on Worth’s arm. Worth came back with a bulldog out of the corner. Kingman came back to choke him against the ropes. Kingman went to the ropes and came off but Worth tried to kick him. Kingman caught the boot and went for an elbow but Worth moved. They traded punches in the center. Worth came back with a flying forearm. Worth went for the Jake Brake but Kingman avoided it and hit the rolling Samoan Drop for a two count. Kingman missed the top rope swanton. Worth nailed the Jake Brake and scored the pin.
WINNER AND STILL PCW TELEVISION CHAMPION: Ken Worth- The American Trucker @ 15:20
Suave notes that the guile and experience of Ken Worth comes out on top of the brute power of Doug Kingman.
Paige McGillicutty has Jill-Berg with her. Berg dismisses Ahmadinejad’s complaints about her. McGillicutty asks if she has any concerns about the Axis of Evil interfering in the match. Berg says no and brings out Daisy Cutter-Bomb. Suave happily notes that DCB returns to PCW after a lengthy absence and mutters something about absence…or was it abstinence… making the heart fonder. Berg says she’s confident that Daisy Cutter-Bomb will watch her back against Triple R.
MATCH #2 FOR THE PCW TAG TEAM TITLE The Kings of Old School: Ricky Michaels and Marty Lane (c) w/ ‘Rahm-Bo’ Rahm Emanuel (D) vs. The International Hit Squad: ‘Foul Pole’ Andy Golatta and Daniel-San w/ Mrs. Miyagi (I)
Suave states it’s the Democrats versus the true Independents in this battle as Golatta and Daniel-San have not joined a faction to date.
Summary Ricky Michaels took the mic before the match. Big “PCW” chant. Michaels said that “These people are ready.” He told Golatta and Daniel-San that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time because they were the most hardcore team in PCW. He said that if there’s one thing that Kings of Old School does better than anyone else, it was giving their people what they want to see- the Democrats in the victory column. Fans began chanting for Golatta and Daniel-San which pissed the Kings off. Golatta and Daniel-San attacked them from behind. The Kings came back and tossed them to the floor. They brawled on the floor and the aisle. Fans chanted PCW. Golatta took a camera from a cameraman and then shot Michaels as he was out on the floor. Golatta and Lane returned to the ring with Golatta drilling him with a back elbow. Lane came back with a swinging neckbreaker.
Daniel-San tagged in and cleaned house. He teased a Cattle Mutilation after a backdrop but Lane dove out of the ring. Daniel-San followed him and slammed Lane facefirst into the canvas. Rahm Emanuel got involved and helped Lane cut off Daniel-San. They returned to the ring and Lane reversed a whip and sent Daniel-San hard into the buckles, then drilled him into the mat. Daniel-San was choked against the ropes with help from Emanuel. Lane came off the ropes and dropped an elbow. Lane cinched in a side chinlock. This time, Mrs. Miyagi intervened, distracting Lane while Daniel-San came back with a back kick. Michaels now in the ring. He grabs Mrs. Miyagi and tosses her out of the ring. Lane with a forearm to Daniel-San and went back to the side chinlock.
Michaels tagged in with a slingshot senton. The Kings of Old School worked Daniel-San over in their corner. Golatta tagged in and cleaned house. Golatta got a table and set it up as Lane returned to the ring. Both teams brawled in the ring with cooking sheets and a trash can/lid. Daniel-San got busted open. Daniel-San played the face in peril as Michaels and Lane took turns beating on him in the corner. Golatta finally got the hot tag in. Golatta gets a two count and tags Daniel-San back in as Lane tags in Michaels. Daniel-San fires off some lightning kicks. Michaels locks in an armbar, but Daniel-San reaches the ropes for the break. Daniel-San is able to lock in a single leg crab, but Marty Lane threatens to get in the ring and the breaks the hold. Lane charges in anyway and Golatta and Daniel-San set up a double tree of woe and finish off the FBI with a killer baseball slide drop kick! The Kings attempt to regroup but Mrs. Miyagi goes up top and surprises everyone with an insane Asai Moonsault to Michaels and Lane outside of the ring! Golatta gets back in the ring but Emanuel pulls him out. Golatta sucks up the strength to get back in the ring as Lane heads in for a two count on Golatta. Lane sets up Golatta in a camel clutch and Michaels dusts him off with a drop kick to the face. Daniel-San enters and kicks the crap out of Lane. That sends him out the ring. Michaels gets a 2 count on Daniel-San who’s now legal. The Kings tries to double team Daniel-San but he nails them with a reverse flying elbow. Golatta enters the ring and he and Daniel-San set up a stereo sleeper submission hold. Emanuel gets in the ring and Golatta and Daniel-San drop him with a twin drop kick. Lane and Michaels capitalize and ambush Golatta and Daniel-San. Golatta is sent out the ring over the ropes and into first row. Lane and Michaels hit a double fisherman driver on Daniel-San and get the 3 count.
WINNER AND STILL PCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: The Kings of Old School: Ricky Michaels and Marty Lane (D) @ 24:17
Post match, Emanuel drops an F-Bomb on Golatta while Lane and Michaels continue their beatdown of Daniel-San.
Mrs. Miyagi climbs to the top turnbuckle again and out of nowhere runs down the Leader of the PCW Competition Committee Nancy Pelosi.
Pelosi tries to pull Mrs. Miyagi off the top rope. Then…

Chism took the mic and said it was great to be back in PCW with all of his fans. The crowd, of course, booed him in return. Chism told them you’re going to enjoy the best wrestler in the house and watch the referee count 1-2-3 for him.

Tanaka whipped him into the rail, then beat him with a chair. They battled back into the ring. Tanaka wedged a chair in the corner but Chism nailed Tanaka several times with a trash can to the head. Tanaka finally punched the can into Chism and took him out. Tanaka grabbed a broom and nailed Chism with it. Chism was busted open by this point. Tanaka trashed Chism with weapons to the head. Tanaka began cranking on Chism’s neck and wrenched it as Chism looked to the crowd for support. They rallied him but he was caught with a clothesline. Tanaka drilled Chism in the gut with a chair, then did it a second time. Tanaka went to do the Earthquake splash but Chism crotched him on a chair.
Chism fired up on offense and nailed a high cross bodyblock for a two count. Chism nailed Tanaka with a chair. Tanaka nailed the Choke Slam but only got a two count. Tanaka went to the outside and poured thumbtacks across the mat. Tanaka nailed Chism again and pulled him up. He shoulderblocked Chism through the ropes, then powerbombed him into the tacks. Chism screamed out in pain. Tanaka took him back to the ring and climbed up the corner turnbuckle. Chism tried to fight out but in the end…JAPANESE SUPERDESTROYER! Tanaka rolled onto Chism and scored the pin.

Now that the FBI serial murder case is over, what are thoughts on it as a whole? And what do you think about the RUM reveal from the last chapter of the case? Aoyama certainly has done something different from previous reveals, and I wonder what he plans to do next for RUM and the arc mysteries still remaining.
Detective Conan File 1061-1066 Review/Discussion
The information in File 1065, followed by File 1066 reveal drastically changed my viewpoints on Rum and the road map to Rum's resolution.
Starting from File 1065, we learned that Rum's 3 inconsistent descriptions were deliberate rumors that Rum spread to hide his true appearance and identity and that only prosthetic eye was correct. The conclusion I came to from this vital information update is that Rum might possess mainly 1 of these 3 descriptions and that he spread the other 2 rumors along with it so that if by chance any member got a look at him and spread what they witnessed, the truth would be camouflaged among 3 indistinguishable rumors. Meaning that Rum (as a man) would mainly be either a “stocky man”, an “effeminate man” or an “old man”.
Then came the 2 vital information that connect with File 1066, which is that Rum has changed his face and uses a silly name.
Here is where the major shifts starts, since we get what is in my opinion undeniable indications that Rum is indeed Wakita (amongst the 3, as SDB BLACK+ indicated, without foulplay). Rum was seen silhouetted mentioning in his recurring polite speech style the "nostalgic story" from 2 years ago during Rye's exposure,...
...which was soon after followed by an old man sitting in the same car as Rum, recalling the same incident that Rum did, being revealed to be the old man from that Rye loyalty test incident and is shown to clearly possess the one feature that is true about Rum, a prosthetic eye (depicted/revealed in the same way as Kuroda's), and that old man is revealed to be Wakita Kanenori without a wig, moustache, buckteeth and eyepatch.
If that wasn't enough, we got another File 1008 situation, where the side-note of File 1066 states that he is "the man with the silly name" (despite the story not even clearing up directly how "Wakita Kanenori" is a silly name), which is essentially handing out the confirmation to the reader that Wakita Kanenori is Rum (similarly to how we got a Boss identity confirmation in the side-note without the story directly addressing it as such).
That being said however... We ended File 1066 with Team Conan just starting to learn about the new hints "changed his face" and "uses a silly name", just before the aforementioned reveal. We got no sign of resolution whatsoever to the Rum mystery. And when it comes to build-up towards the mystery climax, we had none of Gosho's traditional case setup where all the suspects/players in the overarching mystery comes together as the titular antagonist's goals takes the spotlight and the detective (Conan) has pieced the mystery behind antagonist's identity together.
To me, this was the biggest indicator that Wakita being Rum is being treated as nothing more than just a "surface reveal" to a more crucial twist/reveal regarding Rum that is being saved for Conan to solve, leading to a future proper Rum mystery resolution (like the Halloween ship case and Mystery train case).
This reveal also surfaced another important indication, that further supported this notion. Rum's old man appearance was used completely undisguised/unaltered as he directly approached a potential traitor (Rye) 2 years ago, which is contradictory to the established behavior/M.O of Rum, where he not only conceals his voice with a voice changer, but even goes as far as to spread misleading rumors of himself, all in order to hide his identity. This further makes it seem like the old man appearance is nothing more than a disguise from the very beginning, which further goes in line with the established information in File 1065 that Rum has changed/disguised his face. So despite Rum seemingly looking to be an “old man” (as according to the descriptions), the truth is still very much likely to be far from that with the new info from Vodka (like for example, an “effeminate man” who has disguised his face).
Therefore, I'm seeing this as merely the beginning towards a real Rum climax, where Rum's/the old man's real identity and face is gonna be revealed (which might happen during the "main event" that Gin foreshadowed in File 1062).
Basically, we have resolved the "Bourbon arc"-formulated part of the story, and are potentially venturing into the "Vermouth arc"-formulated part of the story.
This is where I’m seeing Iori Muga, the "exceedingly impatient", seemingly english-influenced effeminate butler with a polite speech style, fitting in as the end-goal twist of being Rum’s true identity (through Kohji’s dying message) for Gosho.
There naturally will rise questions of how he manages his time as a butler for the Oooka household (to surveillance the Haneda family that the Oooka are connected with) and as a sushi chef (to watch over the detective who might be investigating the Kohji case), but due to lack of information on both ends (Wakita's and Iori's work schedules), it's something left to explore. Iori Muga could have been given the free time by Momiji (who is clearly portrayed to respect him and his input) to be able to spend those days in Tokyo disguised as “Wakita Kanenori”, as far as we know.
Overall however, I truly enjoyed this case as a whole. File 1066 was definitely my favorite chapter of this case and I'm very happy about the twist (and especially its delivery) that the old man from Kir arc was Rum all along. It made this whole “BO vs Camel” focus way more worth spending time on, and I can only look forward to what’s in store in the actual “main event”.

Macey’s Best Picture Nominee Reviews 2021
No one reads these but I post anyways
Trial of the Chicago 7: How I love a good courtroom drama. I loved watching it, but they reallllly took some liberties with the real story. Solid movie but...so much was fictionalized. 7/10
Mank: Cool aesthetic, made me sleepy. Historical accuracy was a little rough there in the middle 6/10
Nomadland: Was there some cool shots? Yes. But it was so boring, I spaced out so much. Like I can’t express how bored I was. 3/10
The Sound of Metal: Such a great concept! I don’t like the whole hearing vs cochlear implant in irl either but we won’t get into that. It was an 8/10 but due to how nothing really wrapped up at the ending and personally I like nice little ribbons it gets a 7/10
The Father: Look up premises before watching movies, it helps with understanding. I cried many tears, Anthony Hopkins was amazing. 8/10 .
Minari: I’m not a fan of artsy films, I’m just not entertained. David and Grandma together is the reason this movie get a higher score 6/10
Judas and the Black Messiah: I mean...I don’t want to say I liked it because it’s not a happy story, it really makes you sick that so much has not changed since then. Also they fail to mention that the snitch guy was 17 in real life. A literal child. That FBI guy sucked. 9/10
Promising Young Woman: At first I was like oh she’s a badass. Then I was like Bo Burnham?!? And then I was like wait I don’t like her tactics. Then I was like nevermind that’s okay. Then I was like Bo Burnham. Then I was like WHAT A BADASS. 9/10.
