This might seem like an "old man yells at cloud" situation, but it's just wild growing up and being told how dangerous distracted driving is - how, at highway speeds, you can traverse the length of a football field (100 yards, 91 meters) in a matter of seconds - how one split second sending a text while driving could result in a potential fatal crash, and then getting on the road as a driver and being surrounded by billboards. Their entire purpose is to catch one's attention, so they're lining major roads, which tend to be highways. How is it that you're told how important it is to never be distracted while driving, but still being advertised to?

At best, this type of advertising is an eyesore to pedestrians and motorists and a general waste of electricity to light it, and at worst, it is an active danger considering they are there to advertise and therefore, must catch people's attention.

I'm not even against advertising in theory, but this particular mode bothers me so much and I hate how pervasive it is - especially in large cities or highways.

Michael on the Zoe Ball Show this morning talking about David at the BAFTAs and I am dying. Notable excerpt:

ZB: "Ah, Michael Sheen, must say, well done to your mate DT at the BAFTAs." Michael: "Ohh, he did good. The boy did good!" ZB: "He did so good!" Michael: "And he looks good in a kilt as well, doesn't he?"

So...ten seconds into Michael's appearance on the show and David comes up (on St. David's Day, no less). And apropos of absolutely nothing, Michael brings up David looking good in that kilt. Unprompted. For no reason whatsoever. I need to lie down...

it’s not anakin’s fault he’s a mechanical engineering major who has never once thought about politics in his life only to take a class on democracy and fall in love with his TA and decide to do something that’s honestly sort of lame in an attempt to impress her only to then find out the candidate he chose to support at random is actually smoking hot and also very interesting and also not interested in winning

Please cease and desist with any and all campaigning efforts.” and his lawyer who has to be there for most of his conversations with anakin skywalker for legal purposes cough politely and is like “severance pay” and obi-wan is like “oh. So while I’ve posted personal photos on here maybe once or twice at most… I had to post these because not only did the girlies convince/possess me to buy Monster. (because of course the fact that it’s pre-show week isn’t enough lol) but I saw this when on the way to meet up with a friend this evening and had to take photos for all my girlie pies 💖
