First Anime Tie-In Announced!

KEIKO’s first physical single Yūyami no uta will be released on January 24, 2024, it has been chosen as the ending theme for the upcoming three-cour Sengoku Youko anime adaptation which will begin airing in Japan on January 10.

Comment: Oh wow, I‘m hyped for this. An anime tie-in for Keiko composed by Yuki Kajiura, I‘d say that‘s pretty much a guaranteed hit. Wonder what that will do for Keiko’s solo career. The snippet sounds ultra promising.

Keiko at Mezamashi Classics

On April 5th, Keiko attended Vol.100 of Mezamashi Classics. She took a picture together with the concert's main vocalists, Eri Ito (one of YK's many guest artists) and Sakoto Yoshioka. Kalafina appeared as special guests on the Mezamashi Classics Summer Special back in July 2016 (July 29th).

It's been a while since I have shared these. A lot of videos have piled up. Unfortunately, my phone ran out of memory space while I was recording #73 so it just saved 15 minutes of the whole thing T_T Part 2 of #72 is also very out of sync, I'm sorry T_T

Missed the first couple of minutes of #76 but oh wow, I really loved this live. We never see her eat this much, it was a lot of fun just watching her go through the different dishes. The tamagoyaki looked weird but the chicken and pork-shabu salad looked super yummy! LOL at Keiko for going on and on about the excessive amounts of "grass" in her salad. I found it quite interesting when she talked about her old Kalafina image and her image as solo artist. Someone mentions they find it strange that Keiko takes such a long time to eat her dinner despite having the image of a person who is always in a hurry. Keiko agrees that when it comes to her work, she tends to do everything at a very fast pace but in her free time, she likes to take things slowly. She also explains that now that she is a solo artist, she is generally more laid back and more open to share parts of herself that she wouldn't have shared in the past. During the Kalafina days, she took things very seriously, her work-mode was always on, it was basically a constant hustle for her to meet the demands (especially when looking up to Yuki Kajiura). She emphasises though that it was always her choice and that she wouldn't have had it any other way. It's a good thing that she mentions this because lots of fans tend to read a bit too much into everything and come up with all sorts of horror- stories of Keiko slaving away due to the horrible management. I don't think that was ever the case. Keiko is just an incredibly disciplined individual.

There is another very noteworthy part where Keiko talks about not really being accustomed to other people sneaking up on her to cuddle her so she will typically act a bit surprised when that happens. She does a flawless impersonation of Wakana who used to tell Keiko all the time that she found it kind of weird how Keiko would have no issue snuggling up to her but whenever Wakana tried to initiate something, Keiko would startle. She is just like a cat, she likes cuddling but only on her own terms XD

Keiko on Sengoku Youku Special Radio Program

In addition to the collab Long T-Shirt which was announced a couple of days ago, there will also be other official merchandise on sale at the venue for both the Osaka as well as the Tokyo Billboard Live. As of right now, the sale is limited to ticket holders at the venue but hopefully they will announce an online sale after the concerts have been held so overseas fans will also get a chance to purchase the goods.

Hello! As Kei announced her solo live in 2024 March, I am trying to grab a flight ticket earlier as it will be cheaper. I am her FC member but I am still concern that I might not get(落選) the live ticket as I saw someone said they weren't selected for the Planetarium Live.I know this depends on luck, but can you give some advise base on your experience? It is my first time (trying) to attend a Live in Japan, I'm sorry if this is a stupid question m(_ _)m

Please forgive me🙇‍♀️This reply is long overdue.

I simply cannot catch a break these days💦 I originally wanted to take my time with this post but I believe the deadline for the fan club ticket lottery is tomorrow (Dec 18th) so I thought it’d be best to make a post now before it’s too late for you. This is gonna be short but I hope it will still be helpful.

First I’d like you to be aware that the ticket lottery for the Billboard Lives is held on e+ which might be tricky to use if you are trying to get a ticket from overseas. A registration is required and you need to confirm your identity with a Japanese phone number (SMS or call).

The Billboard venues probably have a bit more capacity than the Planetarium event so chances of winning a ticket are a bit higher I would say. I personally had luck with the Planetarium live but you are right, there are many fans who couldn’t get a ticket unfortunately. With lotteries like this, it’s always a matter of luck I’m afraid🥲And you are competing against a lot of fellow Keiko fans…

In total there are four performances (two in Tokyo and two in Osaka) so again, chances of winning are increased if you apply to all of them.

I highly recommend going for the live in Osaka since Tokyo venues are obviously more in demand and tend to be booked out faster. If your schedule allows it, try to attend both🤗

Please note that you might end up winning every ticket (a total of four). Ideally, you should be willing to purchase every ticket you apply for. It might have negative consequences for your account if you don’t follow through with your payments. However, I’ve never actually seen that happen so I guess you can just not pay for the extra tickets you can’t afford/don’t want etc. If tickets are not paid by the end of the deadline the application is automatically cancelled.
