꒰͡ ͜ ı ͜ ͡꒱ DOLLHOUSE ۶♡ৎ
CAINE AND JAX WITH A CREEPY DOLL READER
A/N: This is so silly, definitely not self indulgement.
Type: Romantic/platonic, fluff, headcanons
About reader: Reader talks very slowly, have creepy hobbies and is very mysterious.
Warnings: Decapitation mentions, gore mentions, reader literally wants to sacrifice Jax, Jax is being haunted by you, NOT PROOFREAD, i just did this because yes.
Song: Dollhouse
Tumblr media
CAINE ✮⋆˙
Tumblr media
୨୧ I dont really think Caine would be really scared or creeped out by you at the start, because he's an AI so, his reaction would be a totally different than the others, i can see him complimenting you actually.
୨୧ When you first got into the circus, you were just so eerily... calm? it impressed him a bit since everybody freaked out whenever they got to the circus, thats the first thing that kinda got him curious, but he just brushed it off when he found out its just in ur nature.
୨୧ When you talk slowly and smoothly like those creepy characters, he would just get a bit impatient, Caine is a very eletric and excited robot, so i dont really think he would have much patience with you when you start talking.
୨୧ One thing that can annoy him a bit is the fact you were just so mysterious, you werent really present on the adventures and when you were you just would blend in the background and didnt really do much, it was like you were a digital ghost or something.
୨୧ He would question the others of why they were so creeped by you, like i said, your weird nature wouldnt really have an effect on him so its very likely that he wont get why the others are so scared of you.
୨୧ About how he reacts to your creepy hobbies; he just doesnt really finds it age appropriate, like, why do you have so many gory drawings?! why do you keep trying to decapitate Jax?? to use his head as a souvenir?! reader!! that is not age appropriate!
୨୧ He would try to drive you away from those creepy hobbies, only upsetting you and making you "calmly" threat him saying you would make him eat his own eyes, but it was an empty threat since you cant do much to the RINGMASTER of the circus, and it didnt really work but oh well.
୨୧ He finds your character unique because it can 'almost blend in the dark easily' and he says that because one day he went out in the night to just wander around since he's an AI and doesn't really need sleep and... thats when he saw you, putting a message with a cute bow wrapped knife in Jax's door... you looked really nice in the dark btw.
୨୧ Yeah, overall, he just thinks you are another silly goof.
۶♡ৎ “...[NAME] you cant say that.”
JAX ۶♡ৎ
Tumblr media
୨୧ Fuck.
୨୧ I think Jax would be really fucked up, he made a HUGE mistake when he tried testing your patience at first, calling you "edgelord" and etc, he got a chance at first when you just decided to ignore him, but, he tried his luck again by trying to nag you with his pranks.
୨୧ He laughed at you threatening to give him 'a DIY plastic surgery' on his face, thinking you were just trying to be a "edgy kid"... until your brutal payback..
୨୧ Now you are haunting him, congrats, you have instigated fear into the 'funny' purple bunny that now everytime he sees you in a adventure, he gets more worried in making sure you aren't trying to stab his back with a axe than causing chaos and violence.
୨୧ This man was so flabbergasted when you tried to 'payback' his prank with setting up a axe trap in his room door to try and decapitate him, thats when Jax knew he fucked up.
୨୧ The others praise you because whenever your in the same room as Jax, he shuts up for the first time and as long as you're present in the same room as him, he wont bug anyone and that makes everybody so much happier.
୨୧ He has to check his door for traps EVERY MORNING to not get greeted with a knife to his forehead or worse: with you instead.
୨୧ You probably haunt his dreams, Jax probably had a nightmare that had you included, oh wow you have officially turned into Jax's living nightmare, like why is this happening to him?! is this karma for his pranks?! god help him.
୨୧ He hates you and your voice and everything about you! Thanks to you, now everybody has an argument to mock him, thanks to YOU everybody knows he's not that tough, even Gangle laughed at him!
۶♡ৎ “I'm so incredibly disappointed right now.”

Pinna Pin, I have a question-
So, we know how most of the icons react to a pregnant queen. But what about Zizz? How would he react to finding out his queen is carrying his heir?
It's a little anti-climatic.
Zizz reacts to the news that you're pregnant with a "Hmm...? Okay..."
It's a terrible response. Even Jayde will offer more of a reaction, an explicitly positive one. On the one hand, if you were worried about him being upset, then this is not so bad. On the other, if you wanted him to jump in joy, this is awful. Zizz doesn't realize he's upset you with that response.
He's actually overjoyed! You can see that the King is serious about this when the mansion starts changing. He begins demanding that servant baby proof several areas, that more pillows, blankets and other soft paraphernalia be deliberately left in the halls and other rooms -There's a method to his madness, he's not just making a mess- Your bed becomes somehow even softer. There's a large, borderline luxurious top of the line crib, and he's always keeping you warm and comfy.
This Icon is thinking of everything. Zizz is even bringing some of the plushies he has back to their maker, so he can have them be trained for babysitting and protection. The kid will have their own little plush friend as soon as they're born, trust him.
Eventually, he starts discussing names with you, accompanies you to get appropriate clothing and choose their toys. Sure, Zizz's initial reaction is lackluster, but his gestures convey nothing if not excitement.
When you're near the end of your term, Zizz will insist to fall asleep with his head near your swollen belly. Your child dreams in the womb, and Zizz wants to experience those bursts of sound, of feeling. They're like little bursts of their mind, he thinks it's the most beautiful thing, and hopes you can share those dreams too.

Given all the really excellent and interesting talk about this recently, I wanted to write up a quick list of ways we see Izzy being consistently abusive to Ed in season 1, just so I have a handy post to link to the next time someone asks me "wait, how is Izzy abusive?"
(Again, I genuinely like Izzy. I think he's a great character, but dismissing how he behaves in s1 defangs him as a character, cheapens his s2 arc, and decontextualizes a lot of Ed's behavior.)
Izzy is shown as being emotionally abusive to Ed throughout season 1, because he:
Controls the information Ed has access to. In s1e3, we see Izzy tell Ed his own version of events, twisting them to suit his purposes. He does this so easily and cleanly it's clear he's probably been lying to Ed to manipulate his perception of events for a long time.
Isolates Ed from others. We do not see Ed talk to any crew members before s1e4, and even then, Izzy cuts the conversation short. He also prevents anyone from seeing Ed in s1e10 until Ed makes him ask for Lucius. In s2 Ed tells us that he knew very little about Fang despite having worked with him for 20 years - Izzy seems to make a habit of making Ed unapproachable.
On that note, Izzy insults and demeans Ed to other crew members, creating his own narrative around Ed's actions. He says he "massages" the crew when they're worried about Ed's judgment, but what he actually does is tell them Ed's "half-insane." He is creating a situation where Ed is reliant on Izzy for information and the crew feel like they need Izzy to interpret what he presents as the irrational demands of an insane man, even though we as the audience know Ed's behavior is never as erratic or irrational as Izzy makes it out to be.
Insults and demeans Ed to his face. Izzy is not shy about calling Ed insane and unpleasant to his face, and Ed doesn't seem surprised to hear it. I don't think it's a coincidence that Ed admits while he's in the gravy basket in s2 that he's scared he's insane - that's one of Izzy's favorite insults to apply to him and he's clearly internalized it.
Ignores Ed's feelings and wants when he's not acting the way Izzy believes is appropriate. We see Ed constantly reaching out to Izzy in s1e4 to share his thoughts and excitement, and Izzy shuts him down every time. Izzy's created a situation where Ed can only really talk to Izzy, and Ed is clearly desperate for human connection.
Pushes Ed to harm someone Ed loves, even when Izzy knows that Ed "adores" Stede and Stede makes him genuinely happy. Izzy is very insistant about getting Ed to kill Stede, even once it's obvious Ed has already deeply bonded with Stede.
Literally "buys" Ed in return for selling Stede out. This is just gross and unacceptable, not to mention wildly racist. Frankly I think Ed showed remarkable restraint for only punching him once.
Tries to get Stede killed in front of Ed, multiple times.
Obviously, threatens and mocks Ed when Ed isn't behaving "appropriately." When Ed is starting to feel better in s1e10, and is reaching out to the crew and connecting with them, and is painting his nails and singing and generally behaving in a much more feminine and emotionally available way than Izzy would prefer, Izzy threatens him to force him back into the hyper-masculine Blackbeard persona he knows Ed hates and Ed has said he wants to move past.
Goads Ed into violent behavior and is delighted when Ed is visibly upset. When Ed chokes Izzy, Izzy is laughing and grinning and generally having a very nice time while Ed's standing there with tears in his eyes and visibly terrified. He's very happy to have gotten the reaction he was trying to provoke and doesn't care about Ed's feelings.
So, take it all together, and we can see that Izzy has created an atmosphere where he has put himself in control of Ed and has further manipulated the crew so they look to Izzy as a filter for Ed's behavior so Izzy can completely control the narrative. When he thinks he's losing control of Ed, that's when Izzy tries to get Stede killed, without regard for Ed's emotions. Izzy consistently insults Ed, ignores his desires and feelings, and prioritizes his control over Ed's feelings.
Have I missed anything?

If you are a parent, parent-figure, or grandparent, this is for you.
If your kid falls down on the playground and sprains a wrist, it isn't your fault. It's just a thing that happens. Your job, as a caregiver to that kid, is to get them to a doctor (hospital, urgent care, etc.) Your job is to find them the appropriate care, and support their emotional needs, too. Your kid is scared, hurt, embarrassed, and worried.
And any good parent is going to set aside their own feelings to be there for their kid.
With me so far? Good.
As a child myself, I was Having Problems In School. This was the end of the 70s/beginning of the 80s. Neurodivergence was mostly perceived as either "Rainman" or "Little Boy Can't Sit Still Syndrome." I have ADHD and was a weird little kid.
I had to get to 2nd grade before a teacher helped my parents figure out what to do. That teacher explained my issues to my mom. (My mom, the lifetime certified k-12 English teacher with a minor in psychology.)
My mom had an extremely common response to this: she panicked. She took it personally. She acted like this teacher was calling her out as a Terrible Parent.
My teacher held her hand, and very gently but firmly told her, "This isn't your fault. There's no one at fault. But your kid needs help, needs therapy, needs an evaluation, so that we can give that kid what they need to succeed in school." She then used the example I described above. "If your kid fell down and broke an arm, are you going to stand around beating your breast and wailing about being a bad parent while your kid suffers? Or are you going to get your kid to the hospital, and be brave while you do it?"
Now. This is good advice for many crisis situations. The responsible, adult thing to do is to not take it personally, model good crisis behaviour, and get your kid the care they need.
But this message is for all the caregivers of kids who announce that they want to transition.
Your kid is trying to be happy, to be the person they were meant to be. That they are not happy now, and the fact that they feel like they're being shoved into the wrong life is upsetting to them. They're trusting you to help them. They're asking to be given what they need to be happy and healthy. They're asking for you to trust their judgement.
What they are NOT doing is attacking you. They're not telling you that you screwed up as a parent. They're not rejecting the precious gift of a name you gave them, even though *you* have specific emotional ties to that name. That kid is trying to figure out who they are, which is all any human being does with their life. But it might feel like that's what they're doing.
I know that it hurts, feels like rejection, and it's scary. It's probably not the first time you've had to deal with those feelings, either. Adolescents and teens often say things that hurt their parents; there's a ton of books and videos and therapists out there to help you with this extremely common situation.
From your kid's perspective, they've shared a revelation with you. They trust you to give them what they need, and to accept them for who they truly are. They're terrified of rejection or being dismissed. They're anxious that you will try to shove them back into a shape that hurts and caused them grief.
So your kid does not need for you to dump your problems on them.
Do not make this about you.
See to your kid's needs.
And find a therapist to help you deal with your own reactions.
You may be feeling grief, rejection, and fear (fear for your kid, fear about what people will think, fear you can't articulate.)
You may be angry as a result of that fear. You may want to just check out because of the grief.
But any time you feel yourself emotionally reacting, ask yourself, "Would this be the right way to react to a medical crisis?"
My 2nd grade teacher saved my life. Really. She got my mom's head screwed on straight, and my mother shared this wisdom with many parents through the years as a teacher herself.
So take some profound wisdom from the woman who saved me. Process your own baggage without spilling it all over your kid. Be what your kid needs. And if this is a struggle, get yourself what you need, too. Talk to a counselor.
But above all else: this is not about you.

Falling In Love Eonwe/You
Tumblr media
Requested by @lamemaster
Heyyy ✋🏻 I miss your Elves/ Maiar reactions posts. So I wanted to request Elves/Maiar reaction to falling in love with their human s/o in all their different lifetimes🙏🏻. Feel free to plan it however you want, headcanon or one-shot 🥰🥰 I just love this concept so much it lives in my mind rent free :D
(Author note: Hey, I couldn't come up with a perfect scenario that could have added several characters with a human s/o, then I was reminded of Mairon Fallin in love, so I made another analysis like headcanon with Eonwe that goes his lifetimes of falling in love with his s/o. I hope you are okay with this one. )
Warnings: some angst, fluff, relationship stuff, mentions of the kin slaying, wars, death, Eonwe being a confused birdbrain, and hope you have the patience to read it all.
------------------------------------------------
- Eonwe gives me the impression that he would be a very devoted type, taking his role as Manwe’s herald. He would be loyal and treat you well if you somehow ended up in a relationship with him. However, he also gives me the impression that he would have no idea how relationships work, especially if you aren’t from the same race as him.
- If you were a maiar, you two would have probably been good friends from the beginning and close in general and the thought of being in a romantic relationship had not crossed your minds. You two would give the vibe of being obliviously in love.
- Eonwe would have been more young-minded and would probably not realize how much he likes being in your presence.
- If you serve under the same valar, you would spend a lot of time together doing your duties. You would be each other’s loyal companions and it would be uncommon for you two to be on your own. If you serve under a different valar, Eonwe would then visit you often in the domain of your valar.
- If you are a loyal type yourself, then you two would most likely survive through the thick and thick of the first years of Arda, and perhaps when Eonwe realizes his deep feelings for you and becomes more mature in the matter of courting, he would ask you to be his spouse, especially if you two have a strong foundation of loyalty and companionship.
- Manwe and Varda would have most likely pushed him to confess and eventually ask you to marry him.
- However, if you were tempted by Melkor and joined him, Eonwe would have been confused and heartbroken. He would have realized his feelings too late and be left hoping you would eventually return to the light. If you did, then he would be there to welcome you with open arms, if not, then he would only feel sadness in losing you.
- If you were an elf, Eonwe would have some idea of how to interact with you but be very confused about his sudden rise of feelings toward you. He would worry it is appropriate for him to seek a relationship with you, and try not to step over your boundaries.
- Eonwe would likely need a lot of reassurance, and perhaps a push from Manwe, to finally have the courage to ask to court you.
- You will most likely have to teach him the basics and the norms in courting an elf. He would be familiar with the Vanyar, but not on deeper levels. He had likely interacted with them on official business.
- Physical touch would most likely feel strange for him at first, but if you are patient and gentle, he would grow to like it.
- It wouldn’t matter much to Eonwe from which elven clan you come from. He would focus more on your personality and what kind of person you are.
- Eonwe values loyalty and a good heart in a person. He would not mind if you were slightly mischievous and caused harmless pranks, even finding some amusement in them. However, if you were a teaser type, he would be pretty shy and wouldn’t know how to interact if you kept teasing his poor heart.
- He does not appreciate evil and harm caused to others. If you were part of the Noldor and joined the kin slaying, then he would be upset and heartbroken. If not but decided to leave Aman with your people, he would understand your loyalty to your family, and patiently wait for the day when the valars would grant you mercy and allow you to return.
- If you were a Telerin and survived the kin slaying, he would have a close experience of what losing you felt like. He would be there for you as you tried to recover from the whole ordeal. However, if you didn’t survive the kin slaying and ended up in Mandos, he would feel awful sadness and try to plead with Eru himself that you would be able to recover in the soul.
- If you were a Vanyar. Eonwe would likely be familiar with most of your kin’s customs, having interacted with them way more than the other two clans. There is a high chance you two met at a party or by chance when he had some errands.
- If you were a Sindar, you two would have met during the war of wrath. He would not be most familiar with Sindarin customs, but if you manage to catch feelings for each other, he would ask you to join him in Valinor at the end of the war. If you accepted, he would be ecstatic, but if you still had business in Middle Earth, he would respect your decision and wait for the day when you would finally sail to the blessed realm.
- If you were a human, things would be slightly complicated. There could be two ways how you two could have met.
- One, you two met during the war of wrath. Eonwe would have heard his fair share of things about humans, so he would be intrigued about you once you met.
- If you didn’t have the most positive view of him and the valars due to their absence in the whole war, he would have difficulties befriending you. However, he would slowly understand you when he learned about all the losses and tragedies you endured. He would feel empathic and become protective of you in a way.
- He would respect you if you were trying to contribute to the war in your own way.
- He would feel conflicted when he realized his growing feelings toward you since you were not immortal like him or the elves, and neither you nor your kind were permitted to enter the blessed realm.
- Your time would be limited. He would do his best to ensure your safety during the war, hoping you will live through it and allow for a peaceful life. You two would probably not share anything about your feelings until the last minute when it was time to say goodbye. However, if you did not survive the war, he would silently mourn for you and perhaps feel regret for not telling you of his feelings.
- If Eonwe decided to stay in Middle Earth for some mission Manwe bestowed upon him, and incidentally met you. You most likely end up as his guide in Middle Earth.
- He would be wearing a disguise or a form that would help him blend in with the people, so you would have no idea he was a Maiar.
- Eonwe would learn more things about humans from you. He would still share the same conflicted feelings about his growing feelings toward you, but after some counseling and advice from old acquaintances, he may be more open-minded about it.
- He would eventually reveal the truth about himself to you, and you will either be accepting or there was a chance you already knew about it. It would be impossible not to notice things when you’ve traveled together for some time.
- If you two got together, you would be a happy pair, and spend as much time together as possible.
- Eonwe would think you were adorable if you got a big fascination toward his wings and allowed you to play with them even if they were slightly sensitive.
- Eonwe would most likely stay in Middle Earth to be with you at the end of your days. Or if you contributed to fighting evil and protecting Middle Earth, then maybe the Valars would allow you to stay in Valinor, or perhaps grant you an immortal life so you could stay with Eonwe.
- There could be a chance becoming immortal would mean that you would be bound to the world and have the same fate as elves, but if you willingly chose that, then Eonwe would be forever devoted to you.

Packing it up
Josh Jenkinson x fem!reader
Summary: in which, he changed her perception of what love can be.
Warnings: toxic relationship (not cute Josh), slight ooc Josh (too talkative and extroverted but anyway)
Wordcount: 1.4k
I'd like to dedicate this to my fellow Josh girlies, @petalprincessxoxo and @lemosch
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Walking down the streets of Manhattan, the streaks of tears were still clearly visible on her face. This would be the last time, she told herself. It should’ve been the last time three times prior to now.
She knew it’d always end in the same position. Inside her new favourite cafe after he already ruined the last one for her. A cup of steaming coffee sitting in front of her face as she waited for the same words to drop from his lies, her reaction was already automatic at this point.
“I’m sorry,” he’d say over and over again. “It was a mistake.” It never was. It stops being a mistake after the third time. “Please forgive me.” And although every atom of her body told her not to, she accepted the warm embrace of his arms every morning after. And she forgave him, over and over and over again.
In a few months she’d need to move to a new city after every coffee shop in New York City was haunted by his shadow lurking for her in the dark spots of her brain.
“Oh, look where you’re going,” a voice said shortly after she collided with a chest right in the middle of the street. Two hands holding her firmly to steady her body and not make her fall to the ground.
Looking up she saw the man she ran into, his eyes filled with concern as he saw her red eyes.
“Are you alright?” He asked, his voice much quieter now.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” she brushed him off. “I’m sorry.”
“No need to worry.” He smiled down at her, trying to get the same reaction out of her.
“Do you wanna sit somewhere? You don’t really look well.”
“I already told you, I’m fine,” she tried to protest, but before she could bring arguments into the debate, the guy already pulled her aside into a cafe (out of all places) and sat her down at a table by the window. Still standing he made sure she was steady.
“You can sit down, alright? I won’t fall from my chair like a little child,” Y/n bit back, a bit irritated by his gentle and happy demeanour. Most people in New York would tell her to fuck off if she ran into them and walk off, not making sure if she was alright. It was part of it’s charm in some way.
“Alright, feisty,” he commented back, laughing at her glare towards him. “I’m Josh, by the way. Thought it’d be appropriate to introduce myself since we now sit here together.” He had his hands clasped together in front of his body.
“Y/n,” the girl answered, still not trusting him completely, but he seemed nice enough to not kidnap and kill her. At least, he hoped so.
“Where are you from?” Was her first question, the accent wasn’t from anywhere near and his smile looked kinder than any other in the US.
“Ireland,” he simply answered, looking at the bartender to get her attention.
“Are you all so jolly over there?”
“Are you all so dismissive over here?”
A small smile grazed her lips as he bit back quickly. The tone of his voice beginning to match more of her own.
“Pretty much, yes.”
“What can I get for you today?” The waitress asked bored with a pen and notebook in her hand, waiting for them to answer almost impatiently.
“Just a normal coffee,” the guy - Josh - answered, looking at Y/n to order her own beverage.
“I’ll have the-” New coffee shop, new person, new order, she thought. “I’ll have the Cappuccino.”
The waitress nodded, jotting their order down before turning on her heel and leaving them alone again, turning to her own life again.
“You don’t seem to already be here for long if you still have to ask if we’re all this dismissive. Mostly you can already see it in their faces when walking down the street.”
“Is one of those dismissive people the reason why you’re so upset?”
“I’m not upset,” she defended herself quickly, though the way he looked at her - with dismissive eyes and a clocked eyebrow - meant that he knew that she was lying. Lying never got her anywhere in the past. “I’m not entirely upset because of a such certain person. I’m more upset with myself.”
“Why?”
“Because I let it happen again, and I will crawl back to that person by tonight because I have no one else.”
Josh looked around the room for a second, watching the cars pass by and seemingly thinking about a solution for her problem, although she knew, there would be none. At least not one argumentative enough for her to stop.
“I have a proposition for you,” he stared talking, leaning forward in his chair and looking at her. Intrigued by his offer, she nodded her head as a sign for him to continue. “I’m in a band and if you want to, you can come to our show tonight and forget about that person for a bit, only if you’d want to of course.”
She thought about it for a second, scrunching up her nose and sucking on her upper lip. “Where are you guys playing?”
“Nothing crazy, just the Pier 17 Rooftop.” He shrugged like it was nothing.
“That’s not nothing,” she corrected him. “And probably sold out.”
“I can get you in,” he said.
“Why do you want me there?”
“I think you’re pretty,” he answered, making her blush and look at the wooden table for the first time that day. “And I think whoever treated you like that, to make you so upset, doesn’t deserve you to go back to them. So come with me. Watch us play and if you think we’re worse than whoever you knew before, I’ll leave you to go back to them with another second wasted.”
“I think that’s a deal.”
“Amazing.” Josh smiled at her, his confidence fading now that he had her promise, a shy look creeping up on his face as he looked down at the table and his clasped hands. A comfortable silence settled over them, their table being one of the only one’s which was quiet now. They didn’t pick the conversation up once more when they made eye-contact, neither when their coffee was served.
“How long does the concert of yours go?” she asked, remembering what she did after meeting him once more. What she promised her friends to do.
“Well, it starts at 8, then comes the opening act and we start around 9 normally. So it shouldn’t go longer than 11. Is that a problem for you?” he asked, looking concerned that she would now leave him hanging.
Would she be able to make it? Y/n knew that she would be alright with going to bed at 12 and still wake up early to go to work and she could cancel the usual dinner she had with her friends to calm her down from what he’d done once more. But every time she had done that, she crawled back to him anyway. So would it be a bad thing for her to try a new method? Would it be a bad thing if she tried moving on for once.
“No, it shouldn’t be alright. I still have work tomorrow, but I wouldn’t go to sleep before 12 anyway, so it’s fine.” Looking at the way his eyes lit up when she told him that she would be there made her feel like this could make a new tradition happen. What if she would be able to wake up next to him every morning? Seeing his eyes and soft smile as she cuddled closer to him in the early hours. Hearing the rasp in his voice after he’d just woken up, freeing herself from everything she’d known just to find a version of herself she’d never believed to actually find someday.
“Good,” Josh audibly let out a breath he was holding for the time she was thinking. Smiling at her once more, he let out a chuckle as she smiled at him too, feeling foolish for wanting her there watching him even though he’d just met her. Faith was a ridiculous thing to her ever since she knew what it meant, something wasn’t just meant to be because some invisible string was pulling certain treads.
Still there she was, so close to packing it all up. The simple topic of love being too unbearable for her to even hear from her friends about it. Until he happened.

That new update ahshshbsbdhejsjdheha Tgs spoilers under cut
GUYS RACHEL IS CRYING AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO :( MY GIRL, I’ve been begging for a reaction and now i’m sad seeing it.
Tumblr media
It’s kind of the expected reaction and it’s an appropriate reaction but i feel so bad for her. I need a Rachel rant pages, i just need her to get her emotions out Holy shittt!!!
Also Jasper???
Tumblr media
I wanna know if its like, did he see Rachel upset, or is he like doubting Jekyll? From how the panels are set up I think it’s him being worried about Rachel and I’m hoping we get Rachel ranting next page please please please, I need it so bad
Ok ok, now Lanyons Monologue the actual important part of this page so time to break this down:D
Tumblr media
“But in Return, it tears your life Apart” god that’s so well written man, It’s so hard to unpack these things but i find it so interesting how Lanyon went from “Holy shit my boyfriend has been lying to me” to “Is it because of this Rouge science?”
The thing that stood out to me was Lanyon knowing that Jekyll was slipping but seemingly ignoring it because he didn’t want to believe Jekyll was slipping, he didn’t want to see Jekyll as anything except for “perfect” as we’ve seen in the last few pages
Tumblr media
“Maybe I wouldve been able to rescue Henry from himself” LANYON I LOVE YOU BUT YOU CAUSE ME SO MUCH PAIN HOLY SHIT
Was part of it Lanyons fault? Sorta???? Like in a way Jekyll made the potion so he could be this perfect person for himself and the society but it’s likely that Lanyon also had a big part in why.
Mind lanyon of course, what Jekyll wanted/inspired to be more like. But, Lanyon is only a factor why, I’m not sure how much he could’ve done for Jekyll, there is probably a way he couldn’t helped more but it’s not like 100% certain that even if he changed some things Jekyll wouldn’t have made the potion
Now it’s time for the, Guys please stop calling Hyde a disease, portion
AGHSHSHAHHEHEHWJW I get why Lanyon says these things, I do, I really do, BUT COME ON MAN, he’s still a human being dude, just a ball chaos. BUT A DEMON???
Like Hyde was still a part of Jekyll that’s now separated and has the ability to form his own thoughts but a demon???? I think Lanyon really needs to accept that Jekyll did this to himself, there wasn’t an outside force, its not a demon, Jekyll made the potion and drank it, studying the affects it might have even before he did it.
It’s just interesting how Lanyon refuses to accept it no matter how much Jekyll has told him about how he made the potion and chose to drink it and Lanyon is still here thinking “It’s a demon, Thats why”
God dude, Hyde hasnt even killed anyone in Tgs too so it’s even more like unreasonable, did he start a fire… yes, but in self defense! The Hyde slander is getting out of hand, :(

The italicized bodies of text are memories. I had to end on a memory because I thought it was fitting. Besides, it would be Penelope’s favorite memory and I couldn’t resist.

Two years, eight months, three weeks, six days, ten minutes and two seconds.
That’s how long it had been for Spencer and Y/N to slowly adjust to their lives together, adapting to the life of being a husband and wife again, enjoying one another’s company and love.
Their time was spent together, Spencer happy to watch whatever trashy tv show that his wife settled on, or Y/N was happy to sit and listen to her husband read something interesting to him.
They were able to laugh together, cry together, even sleep together in their shared bedroom after months of having to sleep separately.
There was healing, progress that was making life worth living again.
No more tears of agony in a separate room, both spouses longing for the loving embrace and soft words of reassurance.
As the seasons changed, life got more bearable. Spencer had begun working appropriate hours, not staying longer than he had to when he got the luxury of going home due to not being on a case. He wanted to be home with his life partner, enjoying the warmth and comfort of her presence.
It was a bit silly but he felt like he did years ago when he first met her. There was excitement to text and call her, to tell her about his day over dinner. He felt alive again.
Y/N was no different, back to her smiley self as she had made peace with Noah, their little boy being present in the rainbows that shone over Quantico after a heavy rain or even a light sprinkle. The tears never dried, yet she knew that she’d be okay, that Spencer would be okay.
There was no replacing what they lost.
It was an autumn morning whenever she had paced around the bathroom, her hands over her mouth as her hands were clamped over her mouth, tears drenching her cheeks.
Five pregnancy tests – all positive.
Part of her was ecstatic, another part of her was feeling immense guilt. There was a thought lingering in the back of her mind of everyone being upset with her. She was terrified of the other dark thought that would loom over her forever; another loss to get over.
She was in the bathroom for hours, so long that she didn’t even realize that her thoughts had encompassed her, having her sit on the bathroom floor until it was time for Spencer to come home a few hours early from a more quiet day at the office.
The first emotion that washed over him was worry. Every light in the house was off, there was silence. That was never a good sign, especially after the way he nearly lost her before.
After a panic inducing search around their shared home, he found her curled up on the bathroom floor. As he cautiously approached his wife and kneeled down beside her, his hand was resting against her shoulder as he soothingly smoothed it up and down her back.
There was a tearful admission of Y/N being pregnant again and she looked like she’d been bracing herself for the worst reaction, even though she knew her husband well enough at this point to know he wouldn’t be angry, nor would he snap at her.
Instead, they held each other on the bathroom floor, the tears of relief falling from the wife’s eyes while tears of joy were falling from her husband’s eyes.
They couldn’t replace what they lost and they knew that but this was going to be a new journey. Grieving parents being able to extend their love and share stories of their oldest child who’s spirit lingered in the house.
Life had begun to lighten up, getting better with each passing day. She’d almost forgotten the excitement of being pregnant, feeling the little kicks or the way that she would giggle as Spencer would get kicked in the mouth when he tried pressing kisses against the swollen baby bump.
However, the real shock didn’t come until they were at a doctor’s appointment, listening to the sound of the baby’s heartbeat, another one being detected. That coupled with the sonogram that showed that there were two in there had both parents looking at each other with wide eyes.
Two babies.
They had thought they prepared enough, reading numerous books on multiples and thinking of names that meshed well together all the while there was the feeling of warmth. A family of five.
Y/N always wanted a big family and this meant they were nearing the stages of that coming to fruition. She always thought four children was the perfect amount to classify a big family, however she’d be willing to up that number if it made her husband happy.
As the days turned to weeks, this pregnancy opened many doors that she didn’t face the first go around. For starters, she was sporting a bump very early on.
However Spencer had a whole explanation for the reasoning behind that,
“That's because once your abdominal muscles and skin expand during pregnancy, they're never quite as taut again.”
Which made sense given the abdominal muscle that went hand in hand with pregnancy had already been stretched out the first go around, leaving her body to proudly display the life that had been growing inside of the woman.
As the time went by though and the beautiful twins were brought into the world, things got better. They were fraternal twins; Stella Rose Reid, then they had Milo Walter Reid. They both had a head full of brunette curls and the same beautiful hazel eyes that their father shared. Stella was the loud one, knowing exactly how to get the attention of both parents within the snap of a finger. Milo, however, was the quiet one, he rarely cried and mostly resorted to soft cooing.
As they grew from newborns to infants, their personalities shined just as bright. Stella loved Spencer, sometimes Y/N would joke that she loved her father more. She was the first to begin crawling, her father coming in after a week long case was what motivated her to bolt towards him.
“Look at her!” Y/N couldn’t help but laugh as she watched the little girl scurry over to her father as quick as her little body would take her. “Daddy’s home, isn’t he?” She gushed fondly, looking to Milo in her arms as he was peacefully sleeping, a fist full of his mother’s shirt as if he would be taken away if he dared to let go.
“Hi, Stella!” Spencer's voice was high pitched, the excitement in his tone making the baby squeal with her own matched happiness while holding her arms up towards her father as she was seated by his feet. “I’ve missed you too, my little star.” The father grinned, nuzzling his nose against the chubby cheeked baby while kissing the top of her head.
“I would squeal and greet you but the little man is knocked out cold. They got into a little argument over those teething keys earlier, poor bub got smacked in the head.” The mother spoke while standing from where she was seated on the floor, greeting her husband with a kiss like she always did.
“Ah! We don’t hit bubba!” Spencer narrowed his eyes at his daughter, making the little girl match his look while babbling in her own language, almost as if she was arguing with him. “You better be nice or I’ll ground you until you’re eighteen.” He warned, a chuckle leaving his lips.
Y/N would like to think they did good, always making sure their children were well attended to, however she could admit she was reminiscent of a helicopter parent. Her therapist assured her it was normal, given the circumstances of the loss of their oldest child.
As the twins were hitting the nine month milestone however, there was a tight feeling in their mother’s chest. The day they turned nine months also fell on the two year anniversary of their brother’s death. It was a hard enough day already, this being the second year without him.
Spencer had already used some of his leave for that day as well as the next, just wanting to be with his wife and children for the time they needed him most. Besides, he could answer calls and give insight if the team really needed him.
The morning of the anniversary was a little different than any other day. Spencer made sure to get both of the twins and he was the one to get them situated before making breakfast. The day wasn’t gloomy, there was no rain. It was going to stay a good day, one where they could discuss the life of their son and reminisce on old memories.
Spencer even invited Penelope over to spend the day with them.
It was no secret that Y/N was friends with the team, getting to know them and their families as the years passed by, however she’d grown the closest to Penelope, mainly because they could’ve been the same person with the way they both acted. They’d bonded easy, mainly over their love of all small and cute animals, bunnies being something that they both adored.
“Are you kidding?” Y/N laughed while looking over the bunny stuffed animal, the “push present” that the loveable insisted on getting, the little doll being special for their shared bond.
“I told you that you deserved it! Reid has a huge head, so I can only believe that baby Reid was the same way. No offense to you, my precious little muffin.” The blonde cooed while looking over the infant sleeping in the cot beside the hospital bed.
The twins had their own special things though, Stella having a stuffed owl from her aunt Penny while Milo had a stuffed duck, the two being in love with the plushies to the point where they couldn’t sleep without them.
The knock on the front door had Spencer hurrying to the front door, a smile on his face once he pulled it open to see Garcia. “Hey, thanks for coming! I’m pretty sure Y/N is still asleep but she’s gonna be thrilled to see you. Come in, come in.” He stepped out of the way.
Both the babies were excited upon seeing the aunt that spoiled them with love and attention the most. All the excitement was enough to get Y/N out of bed, the woman rubbing her eyes tiredly before she was heading off to get herself dressed before joining her family.
Seeing Penelope had the woman grinning, hurrying over to hug the woman who she hadn’t seen in quite a while. “Hi! How are you?” She asked as she was kissing her friend’s cheek.
The greetings were extended over breakfast as they both told one another about the busyness of their lives, whether it be working for the FBI or chasing after two very hyperactive nine month olds who could crawl and tear up anything in their path. As cute as they were, they could be little hellions.
“So, I was thinking that we could all go to the lake. The one that overlooks the daisy field.” Spencer was the one to suggest the activity for the day. “I think it would be good to show the twins the place where Noah loved to sit. Plus, you know he loved to play in the grass.”
The suggestion brought a smile to his wife’s face as she nodded. “I love that idea. I’m sure Stella and Milo are gonna love playing with the flowers since they are growing for spring.”
So, that was just what they did.
They made sure to cover the two little ones in enough sunscreen for a full summer, which the two babies didn’t seem to mind all too much. The real fun was whenever they made it to the lake. Penelope had the blanket that they packed sprawled out on the grass, Milo being thrilled to watch the ducks as he pointed at them with excitement.
“Look at the duckies!” Y/N gushed while watching Milo happily clap his hands together while watching the birds on the water, the dimples in his cheeks on prominent display.
As the family was sitting in the tranquility of their surroundings, it wasn’t long until Spencer was turning his attention to his wife.
“Remember when we first brought Noah here? He loved putting his little feet in the water.” He offered a smile while chuckling softly as his wife laughed. “I do remember. I also remember holding him and you were going over to get water and then you ended up tripping and falling right in.” She let out a giggle at the memory.
“Holy shit this is freezing!” Spencer’s teeth chattered as he was quickly pushing himself from the cold lake, his once nice suit being soaked. “Language!” Taylor scolded between her hysterical laughter.
“You fell in slow motion!” She couldn’t stop, tears springing up in her eyes from the laughter as Noah’s head was tilting to the side in curiosity while looking at his father, a cheeky smile spreading across his little face.
“You’re both gonna laugh at me?! What the heck!” Spencer groaned, pulling a pout while heading over to sit beside his wife. “You’re lucky you’re holding him right now.” He muttered, though he couldn’t bite back the smile on his face as his wife and son were just laughing their heads off.
“You wouldn’t dare push me in, Reid.” Y/N’s eyes narrowed, a smile on her face while looking down at their little boy who had a wide smile on his face.
Just the mere memory had the woman laughing as she held Milo, almost like a mirror to the past of her and Noah. “I’ll never forget that. You looked like such a pouty baby.” She laughed. “Then you got a cold and it wasn’t as funny at the time. I had to take care of you because you’re a huge baby when you’re sick.” She commented.
Penelope was laughing at that. “What man isn’t a big baby when he’s sick?? I think it’s just in their genetic code, my love.” The blonde commented before blowing a kiss to Spencer as he looked offended at the statement.
“Well that’s not true at all!” He protested, waving the woman off. “Biologically, that’s incorrect. Not every man acts like that.” He huffed out before offering a smile. “Besides. Don’t act like I don’t have plenty of embarrassing memories of you where Noah and I got to laugh at you.”
“Noah! No!” Y/N squeaked out as she had her hands over her face, the little boy covered in lipstick after he successfully knocked it off his mother’s vanity. “My goodness, you’re a mess!” She sighed dramatically as she leaned down to pick her son up.
However, the baby had other plans as he was using her being off guard to his advantage, his hands quickly moving to rest against her face, leaving behind big red lipstick stains on his hands. “Oh no!” She laughed, the baby in her arms squealing with a giggle.
“Baby, I-“ Spencer paused, looking at his wife as he caught Y/N’s and Noah’s new looks. “Is this a new trend?” He asked, snorting out a laugh as he smirked over at his wife who was sticking her tongue out at her husband. “You’re just jealous because we look pretty and you don’t.”
As the night went on, the laughter turned to panic. She couldn’t get the lipstick off of her nor Noah’s face. “Spencer! Help!” She called, using the rag to try and scrub the red off of their son’s delicate skin. However, there was a red mark left behind, the stain of the lipstick that was once there. “Help me.” She let out an exasperated sigh, handing off the rag.
Needless to say, both mother and son were covered in red lip stains for about a week.
“That was ridiculous. I threw that lipstick out the next day.” Y/N said, looking over at Penelope while laughing.
As the day went by and the sun began to set, the twins were laying in each of their parents’ arms while snoozing, tired out from all the excitement. “Thank you for coming by, Penelope. It’s nice to have you here.” The woman said softly, her cheek resting against her best friend’s shoulder as they watched the sunset over the lake in front of them. “Thank you guys for inviting me on this special day. I really do appreciate it.” Penelope spoke from the heart while letting her arms wrap tightly around the woman beside her.
“I’m so happy you let me be a part of this special day! I never thought I’d be the first one to meet baby Reid!” The blonde grinned widely, holding the newborn boy in her arms while kissing his head.
“Why wouldn’t we have you? You’ve been the best friend anyone could ask for, Penny.” Y/N smiled tiredly, exhausted from the hours of labor in order to bring Noah into the world, her eyes slowly closing as she was drifting off to sleep not too long after.
Spencer and Penelope were left to gush over baby Noah together, the man sighing in content as he let his finger gently brush over the baby’s chubby cheek. “I’m so grateful for you, you know that? Thank you for being here, for being there for Y/N throughout all of this. You have no idea how much we love you, Garcia.” The Reid father smiled, moving to hug one of his close friends.
“You’re part of the family, you know? No matter what. Even if you get tired of us.” He joked, making the blonde laugh.

Crowley was gathering the materials he'd used for his presentation when a gentle knock at the door made him look up.
It was the head of the planetarium's education department.
"Hello, Crowley, I came to inform you that we had to close the main amphitheater due to a technical problem, so there will be no sessions this afternoon."
Crowley nodded and asked, "What am I supposed to do instead?"
The manager shook his head and replied, "You have the afternoon off. Since you've been working here, attendance has increased significantly. You've earned it."
"Glad to know that, thank you."
"I'm the one thanking you. Have a good day and see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow."
Crowley finished packing his things and then left the planetarium, wondering what he would do with his afternoon.
Maybe he could do some drawing.
That made him think of Aziraphale.
He took out his phone to read their last conversation, which made him smile again.
I'm looking forward to Thursday.
PS: You're even more beautiful after being kissed.

Don't send me messages like that anymore!
I had to explain to Maggie and Nina (his girlfriend)
why I was blushing.
Received at 2:05 p.m.
Oh, what did you tell them?
Sent at 2:06 pm
The truth, of course.
That it was because of a message from my boyfriend.
(I hope you don't mind me telling them)
Received at 2:07 pm
It hadn't been hard, knowing Aziraphale's history with James, his ex-boyfriend, to understand that he was worried about Crowley's reaction to talking openly about their new relationship. So even though he couldn't call him because he was at the planetarium, Crowley had written back immediately to reassure him.
Of course I don't mind.
You can shout it from the rooftops.
Even put an ad in the paper.
No, even better! You can put up a poster
in your bookshop.
It would say: "I, Aziraphale Fell, am dating the
gorgeous Anthony Crowley."
Sent at  2:11 pm
At least it would help me get rid of
customers who might flirting with me.
Received at 2:13 pm
Crowley remembered the overwhelming feeling of jealousy that had come over him when he'd read this.
All the more reason to make this poster.
Right now.
Sent at 2:14 pm
Possessive?
Received at 2:15 pm
Crowley couldn't deny it, but he also didn't want to upset his lover in the early stages of their relationship, so he had been slow to find an appropriate response to send. That's why he had received a second message from Aziraphale after the previous one.
I like it.
I'm seriously considering doing this poster now.
;-)
Received at 2:17 pm
The exchange of messages continued in this playful tone until Crowley returned to work.
Closing his phone as he reached his car, Crowley sighed, realizing that he missed Aziraphale and that it was hard to believe he'd have to wait another 48 hours before seeing him again.
Wait. He had the afternoon off.
Why should he wait? The only commitment he had was a meeting later that evening.
He knew now what he would do this afternoon.
He was going to visit a bookseller who wasn't expecting him.
So, half an hour later, he parked his Bentley at the end of the street and quietly made his way to the bookshop at the corner.
Moments later, he walked past the window and, turning his head to see if Aziraphale was inside, saw him and another man.
Crowley immediately sensed that this was no ordinary customer.
He slowed his pace, keeping a discreet lookout, then saw Aziraphale shake his head. The other man put his hand on his arm, and when Crowley saw Aziraphale back away, he had to stop himself from rushing into the bookshop. Then he saw the man nod and walk away from Aziraphale.
Just as Crowley reached the door, the man, who was handsome, stepped out and turned to say Aziraphale inside the bookshop, "I won't make the same mistake, Zira. I've changed."
Zira?
Then he waved a small pendant he wore around his neck and added, "Now you'll always recognize me, thanks to this."
I don't need a pendant for him to recognize me.
Crowley waited until the man with the pendant had disappeared around the corner, then took a step toward the door.
"Crowley? "
Crowley froze as he recognized the voice and turned to say in a harsh tone, "What the hell are you doing here? Are you following me?"
"Hey, is that any way to talk to your father?"
Crowley shook his head and replied, "You are not my father. You lost the right to call me your son the day you ran off and emptied the accounts, leaving us with nothing."
He felt nothing but loathing for the man before him.
He remembered his mother's tears when she'd tried to excuse him, then when she'd run out of arguments. He remembered her drawn features and all the evenings he'd spent alone at home because of the jobs she'd had to pile up to support them. Never complaining. Always trying to give him the best.
No, this man was not his father.
"You didn't answer my question, were you following me?"
The man in front of him looked at him and sneered, "No, I was having a beer in the pub across the street and what a surprise to see my dear son through the window. Look at you. Things seem to be going well for you. Life is not so hard, it seems. Do you have a small bill for your poor father?"
Crowley felt the anger that had been building inside him since the beginning of the conversation about to explode, so he clenched his fists and tried to control himself.
The other man continued, "Oh, come on, you seem to be doing all right for yourself, and besides, I'm sure that rich father-in-law your mother sold herself to must be spoiling you..."
Crowley grabbed the man by the neck and angrily shouted, "Say that again!"
"Crowley."
The soft voice made him turn his head and Crowley saw Aziraphale raise a hand toward him as he advanced.
His lover repeated softly, "You'll regret it if you do that."
Crowley slowly released the man and Aziraphale came to stand in front of him, between him and his so-called father.
"Sir, I must ask you to leave immediately. You are harassing a very dear friend, and if you continue, I won't be as nice as I seem."
"I advise you to listen to him."
It was Nina who had just arrived, accompanied by Maggie, who continued, "I have a friend who's a cop and owes me a favor, I can call him and he'll be here in a minute."
Crowley's father tried one last bravado and took a step toward Aziraphale, saying, "Are you threatening me?"
"You're the threat, we're just protecting someone we care about."
Crowley felt Aziraphale's hand slide down his arm and grab his own, squeezing it tightly.
Crowley's father grumbled, and as he turned to go back to the pub, Aziraphale added, "I would suggest not going back there, the owner is also a friend. To be clear, this is our street and you're persona non grata."
"You!"
Maggie waved her hand.
"Bye-bye!"
Crowley's father had no choice but to leave and Crowley watched him until he disappeared around the corner, then, his hand still in Aziraphale's, he turned to the small group and whispered, his throat tightening, "Thank you all."
Maggie approached, then hugged him briefly and said quietly, "You're welcome. Thanks to a certain bookseller, you're part of our little family here. And no one messes with one of our own."
Then she turned to Nina, who nodded in agreement before they both walked off in the direction of the coffee shop.
"Come on, Crowley, come with me."
In a daze, Crowley let Aziraphale lead him into the bookshop. He watched as he hung a small sign on the outside of the door before double locking it.
"Now we're safe."
Crowley let himself be dragged to the sofa where Aziraphale made him sit before saying softly, "I'll be right back."
Crowley saw him off to the back of the bookstore, realizing that he hadn't taken the time to look at Aziraphale's place the last time he was here. He gave a small smile because everything was so much like him. An eclectic mix of old things and books everywhere, but what stood out most was a feeling of warmth and comfort.
He sighed.
It was so welcome after what he'd just been through.
He felt bad for losing his temper and making a spectacle of himself.
What had Aziraphale been thinking?
"Here, drink this. It'll make you feel better."
Lost in thought, Crowley hadn't heard Aziraphale return and looked up at his lover handing him a steaming mug.
Crowley took it and inhaled before saying with a half-smile on his lips, "Hot chocolate? I'm not a kid."
Aziraphale sat down beside him and replied, "I know it calms me down after a stressful situation, so I thought..."
"I was just messing with you. Thanks, that's very thoughtful of you."
He blew on the chocolate and continued, looking embarrassed, "Look, I'm sorry about before. I know I never should have lost my t-"
"Stop that right now!"
Crowley looked at Aziraphale in surprise as his lover shook his head before continuing, "You don't have to apologize. The only one who needs to apologize is your father."
"Please don't call him that. Besides, how do you know it's my-"
Aziraphale replied quietly, "I overheard part of the conversation. Crowley, you had every right to be angry after the horrible things he said, and if I intervened, it wasn't for him, it was for you. Only for you."
Crowley took a sip of chocolate and replied, "Thank you, because I think I would have come to blows with him. I guess I owe you some explanations, I-"
Aziraphale interrupted him again and said quietly, "You don't owe me any explanations. Only if you feel like talking about it."
Crowley replied, "I do. I need to."
Aziraphale gently placed his hand on Crowley's knee and said softly, "Then I'll listen. Whenever you want. Whenever you're ready."
Crowley first emptied his cup of chocolate, then set it down before placing his hand on Aziraphale's and squeezing it tightly.
Then he told him about his childhood, how his father had left him and his mother, the difficult consequences, but also how his mother had done everything she could to give him a happy childhood, and she had succeeded. He told him how she and her boss had fallen in love a few years ago.
"I know it's a cliché, the secretary and the boss. But nothing my f- this man implied was true. She didn't do it for the money. She even resigned, against her soon-to-be lover's advice, when they decided to be together, to avoid the rumors, and she found a job elsewhere, on her own, and only then did she agree to go out with him. She's not-"
Aziraphale said reassuringly, "Hey, you don't have to justify anything. I'm sure your mother is a wonderful woman. You just have to know her son to know that."
Crowley blushed slightly and continued, "Anyway, they got married and five years ago I got a little sister, Sarah."
"Ohhh you have a little sister!"
Aziraphale's emboldened interruption made Crowley smile and he replied, "Yes, and even though she's a little brat, I adore her."
As he spoke, Crowley realized he'd like to introduce his sister to Aziraphale; he had a feeling the two of them would get along perfectly.
Wow wow wow, stop, they hadn't even had their first date and he already wanted to introduce him to his family.
"By the way, what are you doing here?"
His lover's question came at just the right moment.
"I wanted to surprise you."
He chuckled and added, "And I was the one who was surprised."
More than once, in fact, Crowley thought, remembering the other man who'd been in the bookshop when he'd arrived.
As if Aziraphale had read his mind, he said with a half smile, "Well, looks like it's surprise visit day."
Crowley asked innocently, "Oh, yeah?"
Aziraphale nodded and replied, "Yes, I had a visit from... James."
Crowley s'exclama, "James as in James your ex-boyfriend?"
Aziraphale nodded again.
"You mean that handsome guy who came out of your shop earlier was James?"
"You saw him?"
"I arrived just as he was leaving. What did he want with you?"
Aziraphale began to play with a thread from his shirt sleeve and replied, "Well, he wanted us to make up. He said he wanted to make an effort to understand me..."
Crowley interrupted coldly, "And since you're nice, you agreed, didn't you?"
"No, of course not, you idiot!"
"No?"
Aziraphale replied, looking irritated, "Is that what you think of me? That just because he comes crawling back, I'm going to forgive him and we're going to go back to the way things were? I'm telling you again, you idiot, I chose you. There isn't even a choice, you're my first choice. You're the one I am i... I mean, you're the one I want to be with."
Crowley replied, "But as he was leaving, he said this thing about thinking about it again, he even had this pendant that you could recognize him."
Aziraphale sighed and replied, "He talked about being friends. After I made it clear that I had someone in my life now who made me much happier than he did, he suggested we stay friends, but I said no, I'm not ready for that. Especially not now that I know what it's like to have real friends who won't let you down in a hard time."
"You said I make you happy?"
Aziraphale nodded and Crowley insisted, "But how? We barely know each other. I mean, you make me happy too, but..."
The bookseller smiled tenderly and replied, "What can I say? That my heart beats faster knowing I'm going to see you soon, that it beats faster when my phone vibrates in my pocket because I hope it's a message from you, that there's not an hour of the day I don't think about you, that I really want to tell everyone I have a lover, that Maggie told me she's never seen me glow like this. Crowley, these last few days, just thinking about you has made me happier than I've been in a long time. None of the memories I have with James thrill me the way every memory with you does. And I know that we're just getting started. That there's a lot we don't know about each other. But one thing I'm sure of is that I'm in this for the long haul. Crowley, I don't know how to convince you, but..."
"Stop, you convinced me, Aziraphale, you convinced me."
With those words, Crowley leaned forward and pressed his lips to Aziraphale's in a kiss that had nothing to do with the brief kiss they had shared on the doorstep the day before. There was no hesitation as they tested the sensation of their lips pressed together. No hesitation in the way Aziraphale's mouth opened to welcome Crowley's tongue. No hesitation in the way their breath mingled. No hesitation in the way Aziraphale's hands buried themselves in Crowley's hair to deepen the kiss.
No hesitation as it went on and on until they were forced to catch their breath.
Gasping, Aziraphale pulled away just enough to raise his fingers to Crowley's face, following the line of his jaw, studying his lover's face. He saw in Crowley's gaze the same sense of longing to continue the kiss, but also the fear of ruining everything by rushing in.
Crowley asked, his voice a little hoarse with the same emotion Aziraphale could feel in himself, "Are you okay?"
Aziraphale, far too moved to answer aloud, simply nodded.
Crowley, concerned, asked, "Do you want us to slow down a bit?"
Aziraphale, confused by all the emotions running through him, replied, "No, yes, I... I don't know."
Crowley laughed lightly and said, "I know, me too."
He planted a light kiss on his lover's lips and continued, "That's a lot of emotions in a few hours. For both of us."
He wrapped his arms around Aziraphale's shoulders and pulled him to his chest, leaning back against the sofa.
"Let's keep it that way for now. We've got time."
Aziraphale nodded, immediately realizing that this was perfect and exactly what he needed.
After a moment he laughed softly and said playfully, "We still haven't had our first date."
"Well, we do things a little differently."
Aziraphale replied, "Look around, order isn't really my way of life."
Crowley pressed a kiss to his hair and replied softly, "I like it the way it is.
I like you.
He wrapped his arms around his lover, who snuggled even closer.
They spent the rest of the afternoon like this, savoring this new intimacy together, aware that they had overcome new obstacles and emerged unscathed.
Both knew exactly how they felt, even if they weren't ready to put it into words.
They had time.

Despite my dedication to being anime-only, there is one difference from manga to anime that I will never forgive from the director/animators/whoever was in charge for this change. In chapter 30, after Nightfall leaves the Forger household and Twilight follows her to give her an umbrella, she shows him her distressed face.
Tumblr media
Here, Twilight noticing Nightfall's sudden difference in mood (and the very fact that she was expressing an emotion) and reacting to it is very on par with an important part of his character: his empathy.
Though he's chosen a type of lifestyle that necessitates using violence and deception, Twilight has a deep sense of empathy and compassion. He understands how much suffering he went through because of the war, and he aims to create a world where no child has to go through what he did. He understands other people's pain and he doesn't want people to feel such pain, with no judgment on who "deserves" that or who doesn't. That's unconditional empathy and compassion to their core.
So, seeing Nightfall suddenly go from her usual poker face to an obviously distressed expression shocks him. He's never seen her like this before, so it must be something big that's upsetting her, something that he missed, and something that he instinctively worries about.
And this face of his makes me think that, maybe, if Nightfall had allowed him an opening, he could have attempted to reach out and comfort her (with the appropriate distance and professionalism). It wouldn't have worked, considering the very reason Nightfall was sad, but it's interesting to think about.
And then the anime changed his expression to this.
Tumblr media
No shock. No bewilderment. No worry. It wouldn't even be far fetched for someone to interpret this look of his as him thinking "Ugh what a weirdo, what does she want now". For the first time he sees an emotion on her face, and a negative one at that, and he doesn't respond to that at all.
It's a betrayal to Twilight's character. It's a deliberate ignorance of Endo's choice to portray Twilight's empathy in this moment, his instinct to care and worry for others.
And I fear that it was not an intentional misinterpretation, but rather a reluctant compromise for shipping's sake. Because hey, look. This is the episode where the Romantic Rival™ appears, right?? If by the end of the episode Twilight shows one (1) iota of care for her, then it means he doesn't care for Yor and twiyor is over, right???
And on one hand, I understand their decision. Stans of romantic ships can be very paranoid especially when it comes to "love triangle" stuff and some are incapable of grasping the concept of showing the same care to a platonic friend that you'd show to a romantic partner. Though I think the narrative does a great enough job to show that Nightfall has no hope of being a romantic rival in this situation, and that her character is there to show another aspect of Twilight, not to create tension for the ship.
Unfortunately, this decision comes at the expense of Twilight's characterization. In order to pacify stans who only focus on the shipping aspect and not in the story or the characters (and to the anime team's defense, those stans are neither few nor quiet, and not only in SxF), they preferred to cut off a reaction from Twilight that showed how layered of a character he is - because even though he was annoyed with Nightfall for breaking spy protocol and meeting with him in person AND for doubting his methods to his face, he was still worried about her. Because his empathy is so deeply ingrained in him that he naturally shows it even to people who annoy him - to a degree.
I mean, look, I also ship twiyor hardcore, yeah. But I hate this change. I want my man to be empathetic, and if you read the chapter/watch the episode without paranoid shipper goggles on, it's very easy to notice how hopeless Nightfall's ambitions are, and how safe twiyor is from her. So to me that change was unnecessary and damaging to Twilight's character, and I sincerely hope they won't continue such a butchering just to placate the kind of audience that only cares for shipping and not for storytelling.
Oh btw, this is my post, and while I disagree with this choice I still believe the anime is a great adaptation and a very entertaining watch, so comments that drag the anime to the dirt will not be tolerated. Make your own post if you want that and leave me out of it.

Hi!! I’m hoping you could do a Primo x Reader, platonic, who is constantly talked over and ignored but is very sweet and shy
I feel this so much as someone who was constantly talked over and ignored in an old friendship group. I got you ghestie ❤️ also if any of you reading this ever feel like this, please know that you are valid, your thoughts and your opinions matter, and you and what you have to say are important and valuable 🥰
Primo is incredibly perceptive and observant, so naturally he notices this straight away
Were he a younger man, he'd probably show his anger more outwardly and say something snappy like Secondo would
However, Primo knows when it is and isn't appropriate to display his temper
And he's not going to contribute to talking over you and making you feel invisible or ignored just because he's upset
So, instead, he will do one of two things
He will either wait until its his turn in the conversation and make sure to ask you questions and give you the space to talk
Or if he's feeling petty or getting particularly upset at how you're being talked over and ignored, he will calmly cut the person talking off and tell them that you were trying to talk then give you the opportunity to speak
He sees how shy you are and how being talked over or ignored knocks your confidence and effects your mood
And it hurts him to see his friend treated this way
He will do his best to make sure that when you're in a group together it's with people who won't talk over you but also won't force you to speak either because of your shyness
Primo goes out of his way to listen to you and let you have the space to talk when it's you and him one on one
He always takes in your opinions and considers everything you say, paying attention to you and only you unless you're both gardening or carrying out tasks in the greenhouse
He does try and encourage you to have more confidence and stand your grand so that you'll be heard, but he's not gonna make you do anything you're not comfortable with
Primo actually understands what you're going through. He was painfully shy growing up and it took him a while to speak up when he wanted to say something
And of course once Secondo and Terzo, the Ministry's resident motor mouths, came along it became more of a fight to be heard some days
He constantly checks in with you during conversations and let's you know that he's listening to you and that he cares about what you say and think
He won't let you bullshit him though if you try to dismiss his worries and tell him that you're okay if you're not. He may be old, but he's not blind to what he sees going on and your reactions to being ignored or talked over
He understands that you don't want to seem rude, but he wants you to be heard too
"It is not rude to want people to listen to you, cuore mie. If anything, they are the rude ones for speaking over you all the time"
Encourages you to bring this up with your friends so that you can communicate and work on making sure you get heard and that they talk over you less

✿ Monday Sneak Peaks ✿
The Best Revenge Chapter 33 | ShikaHina ✿ Ongoing
Hinata cupped her cheek and blinked at Kushina as she started to whisper-scream. “You have a lot of nerve showing your face here! After what you put my son through, how did you think that it was appropriate!” “He… He invited us.” Hinata told her meekly. She knew this was going to be a problem, but she didn’t expect this. “If you have a shred of decency, then you would have declined.” Kushina gave up on trying to keep her voice down. “You shouldn’t have a happy ending after what you gave up. You crushed Naruto’s heart with what you did, and you have the gall to come here and rub your infidelity in his face!”
House Husband Chapter 04 | ItaHina ✿ Ongoing
Hinata slumped down on her bed and tossed her blazer on the floor, curling her legs up to the side and laying her head down. It had been another long day. It would be another long day tomorrow. The cycle continued. Her apartment was dark. No one was home. Did she wish that there was someone waiting for her when she got home? Sure, but she thought having a pet with her would be cruel to leave as long as she was gone. She was sure her uncle and father had her best interest at heart. Hizashi wanted her to find love. Her father wanted her to have someone to grow old with. What did she want?
Better Late Chapter 14 | SasuHina ✿ Ongoing
Sasuke popped the last of their snack in his mouth and crumbled the package up into his pocket. “When we fell asleep I had a dream that I was a tomato, and Itachi was eating me.” Hinata's hand brushed against his as they walked, and they joined hands almost magnetically. The slightly too-long sleeve of his hoodie tucked between their hands. “Most of my dreams are about me missing assignments.” “That’s a nightmare.” Sasuke corrected. “Is your brother eating you, not a nightmare?” Hinata countered.
A Kiss Between Strangers Chapter 25 | GaaHina ✿ Ongoing
“I find her… much easier to be comfortable around.” She was the definition of a non-threatening air. Even when he worried about what she might think or how she might react. He always felt like no matter what her worst reaction would be, it would still be soft. Soft wasn't the word he wanted. Comfortable? Pleasant? “I would like to be closer to her, but I believe it will hurt when she is not there anymore.” Baki’s eyebrows knit together. Never a good sign. “You mean over break?” “I mean when we aren’t together anymore.” Gaara clarified. Baki blinked at him. He was surprised. Another thing that was not good to see on a therapist's face. “Are you worried about the relationship as it is now?” Gaara shook his head.
Riding Hearts Chapter 28 | Akatsuki x Hinata ✿ Ongoing
Hinata tucked her nose down in her blanket to stave off the cold that was on her ears. Why was the air so cold? Did Deidara leave the window open? Sasori was going to be upset if he woke up to the whole loft being cold. Maybe she should get up to close it, but she didn’t want to leave the warmth of the covers. A harsh snore made her eyes pop open as she realized she wasn’t in her bed. Deidara’s snores were not that deep. She peeked her head out of the blanket and found Kisame sleeping upright against the truck cabin with his arms permanently crossed into place and his head dropped down with his chin resting on his chest as he harshly snored. He looked comfortable despite the positioning.

do you think the term trauma dumping has lost it's meaning? I see a ton of people online mention something bad (even if it's something so tiny or they tell a slightly bad experience they had as a kid that's universal like being bullied at school) and people are so quick to call it trauma dumping.
Absolutely. Like "narcissist" and "gaslighting", I think it's been misinterpreted by people to the point where people are using it as a way to get out of having any interpersonal interaction that makes them uncomfortable. "Trauma dumping" itself isn't a clinical term, but I would say that it's meant to refer to telling someone about a traumatic experience in detail without asking for their permission, with the goal of getting validation, attention, or sympathy from them. In order for something to be a "trauma dump", I think it has to be inappropriate for the time, place, and/or relationship you have with the person. I also think the person has to still clearly feel emotional about whatever the trauma is and for those emotions to be present in the conversation that they're having.
Some things that aren't trauma dumping might include:
Bringing up an illness in a context where it's relevant ("I'd love to go hiking with you but I can't because I have bad joints", "I actually missed that event, I was in the hospital last week because I had an allergic reaction", "Oh, I actually wasn't in school that year because I was super sick", etc.)
Bringing up a person who has passed away or that you no longer have a relationship with in a context where it's relevant ("oh, I actually don't celebrate Mother's Day because I don't have a relationship with my mother anymore," or "I'm one of four kids but I used to be one of five")
Telling your best friend that you're really struggling with something and going into detail about what that means for you because you want their support ("you might have noticed that things have been really hard for me lately. I experienced an assault a few weeks ago and it's making me feel xyz way. I could really use your support in figuring out a way to come to terms with what happened")
Venting about an annoying or upsetting thing that happened at work or school
Talking to your therapist, who you pay to help you process your trauma, about your trauma
Things that are trauma dumping might include:
Going up to a random stranger and telling them, emotionally and in detail, about a traumatic event that has happened to you
Telling a new friend, emotionally and in detail, about a traumatic event that has happened to you
Repeatedly bringing up the same traumatic event in conversations where it doesn't naturally come up, or finding excuses to bring it up, regardless of who the conversation is with
Not stopping or checking in when you realize the person you're talking to is feeling uncomfortable
One-upping other people when they're telling a story that's tangentially related to your trauma ("I had to go into the doctor's last week for a test and I'm worried they're going to find something unusual" "well my mom had cancer that was totally undetectable until she only had six weeks left to live and it was devastating to watch her die")
Being uncomfortable in interpersonal relationships is inevitable sometimes. It's how we get closer to other people and how we grow and learn. It's important that we're available for our friends to talk to about the things they're struggling with, even if those things are hard for us to hear. But it's not appropriate to expect that from a stranger or to expect that someone will drop everything to rehash your trauma whenever you feel like talking about it.

Hi
I hope you don’t mind me asking, but as you know I really enjoy reading some of your fanfic and love the way Newt’s family are written in your universe. I love how Newt’s parents are supportive, especially his dad. I think his dad and Theseus are my favourites.
Anyway I wanted to ask, in your world how would Helious and Rowan react to Newt’s expulsion from Hogwarts? What happened when Newt came home? Or when they were called in after the incident?
Did they treat him with kid gloves? Like go about it delicately like they did with the incident with his uncle in the ministry? Or maybe this time he’s gone too far (as far as they know), so they’re more disappointed and bit more firmer? He’s not a kid anymore so how would that go? Now that’s something interesting I think to explore.
Hello! Good to hear from you! I’m answering this from bed half asleep so forgive me for not going into a ton of detail. But if I put it off I’ll just never reply. Very happy you like how I write the Scamander family
And great question — because their reaction is different from how they treat him after the situation with Hesiod in “The Riot Act”. While still cognitively immature, there’s still a big difference between barely 11 and 16/17…. ‘Kid gloves’ are appropriate when dealing with certain issues at certain ages, but realistic conversation would probably be a better fit for the expulsion at 16.
That being said..
So I actually I have a few versions of their reaction to Newt’s expulsion I’ve been playing around with. But all of them involve Newt going back to live with Rowan eventually, but spending the first month avoiding home, living solely with his dad in London. I write him specifically requesting his father be contacted to pick him up, after which he informs his mother himself, while at Helios’. Newt knows she’ll be disappointed. And he ultimately chooses to figure the first few weeks after expulsion out with Helios precisely because Rowan is struggling to be supportive (and he likely feels ashamed). Rowan, meanwhile, feels she’s tried everything and still she’s ended up with her youngest son, expelled from school, just come of age with absolutely nothing going for him. She’s worried, and frustrated, and angry, and that can be hard for someone like Newt to figure out how to handle, especially bc I don’t headcanon he tells his parents about the entire Leta situation. Which makes him come across as far less sympathetic.
By this point, I write their dad as being somewhat “checked out”. He’s largely given up on parenting by now (I mean, Theseus is well into adulthood, but newt’s still young), as he’s been rather burned out by his own life and some particularly poor coping mechanisms. You can imagine the unspoken strain that puts on a family unit. Helios is of course upset with the situation but he’s not disappointed in Newt in the same way as Rowan (probably for obvious reasons, as he and Newt share a lot of personality traits in addition to some overlapping neurodivergence), so his reaction is pretty tempered. So it’s easier for Newt to hide there, with his dad.
Luckily for both Rowan & Helios, though, Newt immediately gets work at DRCMC and an apothecary in Diagon Alley, so he keeps himself busy, and largely out of trouble. He strikes me as the kind of person who does much better—in many ways—in the world than he does in school (I say, heavily projecting), so I imagine over the course of a few months, he and his mum come back around to understanding one another better. There’s a point at which one just has to accept that (a) this is the unfortunate way of the world and it’s necessary to survival to sometimes just accept it [Newt], and (b) this is just the way some people are — you can cry and scream about it but good luck trying to change something that perhaps just can’t be changed [Rowan]. Neither of them is entirely in the right, and I think they both probably know it, a little bit.
I do headcanon the expulsion as one of the first real cracks in N & T’s relationship, though. Theseus doesn’t abandon him and remains an anchor in an otherwise somewhat unstable family during this time period, but he doesn’t understand him, and it starts to get messy.
One of the reasons I love writing about Theseus and Newt is because neither of them is perfect. They both have canon flaws in how they deal with commitment and conflict. And I’m trying to figure out how to write the expulsion reaction for all of them, so I’ve just been poking at it for a few months, and waiting for it to shape itself out.
So that’s some rambling. Certainly it’s not all my thoughts because I’m in bed but. Would love to know your thoughts too.

You are by far one of the best writers I've seen on the site. Especially with The Chosen. I was really hesitant to read any fanfiction on it, since I wasn't sure if that would be appropriate, but reading your made me feel so much better. You keep it so accurate and respectful, it's truly wonderful. Now, I'm obsessed with your writings and desperate for more! I'm so glad you have taken to writing for this TV series, and I'm very grateful you've done it is such a great way.
I know your requests are closed right now, but when you are open I have two-three ready to go. Until then, I'll read what you put out.
Additionally, I wanted to say that I REALLY loved the John the Baptist angst one, I wish that went on forever and I got so many more moments and details. I normally don't like angst without a happy ending, but I loved this fic. I think it's because it wasn't an unhappy/sad ending. Not really. There was still love and hope and the knowledge that what they get and where they will end up will be greater than what the could have on earth. If you do feel inclined, I would love to encourage you to expand on this. What would the reaction be to his death, what happens to her after that? What does she do while he is away? Did they ever confess their love? What was going on before Jesus came to be Baptized? So many thoughts and questions on it.
Anyway, once again I would like to say amazing work and I look forward to seeing what else you put out. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Your number one fan
Oh dear friend, your comment brings tears to my eyes ❤️ Thank you so much for your sweet words, they mean so much!
John the Baptiser has so much potential fic-wise. Since I love writing angst, the tragedy in his story as well as the hope that constantly shines through in spite of it all makes him one of my favourites. At the moment, I have a one-shot in my request list with some domestic fluff for him. However, there is so much that can be done. I feel like (Y/n) would be a very patient significant other, very aware that his calling always goes before their personal relationship, so she'd definitely be a woman of great faith and would get along with Jesus as well. (Y/n) would be friends with both of them during their childhood and Elizabeth woudl always tease her son about his crush on you, because John definitely had one.
Their relationship would be so wholesome regardless if they ever confessed to one another or not. If they do indeed confess, they would quickly reach a mutual understanding of the compromises they'd have to make on their earthly relationship in favour of John's calling.
(Y/n) would support him in his ministry as much as she could. Even if this includes being worried sick when he disappears off the face of the Earth every so often. After all, despite their understanding, she would be concerned nevertheless, for John has a tendency to upset important people.
Quality time between the two would be unrushed. In her presence all his worries and tension just fade away. She'd cook him a decent meal since he needs these nutrients, draw him a warm bath and once relaxed, they'd chat about everything that is going on in their lives.
When John heads for Herod's court, they are both aware that there may be no way back now whilst saying goodbye, but both of them hold onto their Hope.
After John gets arrested, (Y/n) goes with Andrew to visit Machaerus, where John tells her that God will always have the upper hand no matter what happens. He says she should not be anxious about him, because God will always be there.
The followers of John who visit Capernaum also have a message for (Y/n): A repetition of what he had said in Machaerus, as well as a goodbye. She gets an inkling that it might be the final message John will ever send her.
And once (Y/n) finds out he's dead? Oh, she'll be inconsolable but find comfort with Jesus. I can totally imagine them sharing all of their memories about John with each other, and Jesus would be so patient and understanding with that bittersweet pain. Smiling and crying at the same time, reminiscing on the past and hopeful for the future. I am aiming to open the requests again in a month from now, and you're allowed to send in as many as you want! 😌
God bless! 🙏

K I'm bored and have thoughts specifically about Welcome Home and the recent gtlive video on it and y'all... I'm tired.
BUT before I begin I will state my bias, yes I am a (adult, this will come up) fan of Mat and game theory, this isn't gonna be me white knighting this is more of a vent about other fans.
So ever since the gtlive I've seen plenty of posts about it in a 50/50 split. One side being worried or upset about the coverage because Mat is a big youtuber and the welcome home community (and especially the creator Clown) are in need of a break right now; and the other side is trying to descalate the reactions and explain how Mat covering the project is not the absolute end of Welcome Home (abit of an exaggeration I'll admit).
As you can tell, this falls into the latter; however the first thing I want to say is that some of the concerns are valid, again Clown and the fandom are in need of a major break (and frankly some of you also need an etiquette lesson) and the timing of the video is very poor, another concern is how Mat and his fans may accidentally cross the boundaries that Clown has set, again these are all completely valid concerns.
However some of y'all are blowing this way out of proportion and being really mean about it too. First of all Mat went into the video completely blind otherwise there wouldn't even be a gtlive about it; he had no idea about the issues in the community or Clowns boundaries at the time of the video, the only ones who would know are the fans who mentioned it in his comments and his team members who take those recommendations.
I'm not saying that the fans or even his team are completely at fault here, but to put the onus completely on Mat is unfairly shifting the blame.
Another thing that, honestly kind of pissed me off a little, were alot of posts with people saying that Mats "children fanbase" were going to overrun the community now.
First of all, Mats channel has been up for what? 10 years now? He has plenty of adult fans (told you it would come up) who know how to act appropriately, second of all just a glance over the comments and you'll see alot of people, who are likely also fans of Mat, talking about Clowns boundaries and how to be respectful.
But beside all of that y'all are saying "child fanbase" as if "children" (bc children is a VERY broad term) don't know about Clowns boundaries or can't respect them, which is honestly kind of insulting, yes kids and teens can be dumb, and I say that as someone who was incredibly stupid as a teen, but not all kids are as disrespectful or unknowledgable as you're making it out to be, plus Mat has 17.4 million subscribers do you really think that all of those people are A. Children and B. Gonna be horrible shits to the Welcome Home community?
K one more thing I've seen people upset that Mat kept using the term cult to describe what he thought was happening within the story, again a valid concern, cults are a very real very scary thing that people have to deal with.
Again, this isn't an excuse this is just an explanation. 1. Mat went in blind, he had no idea what the story was like, it could very well be that the letters that the people behind the (in story) Welcome Home project are getting are from some kind of organization we don't know.
2. Unfortunately cults are a very common "trope" (cliché?) In horror media, this isn't always bad but alot of the time it's less midsommar and more Halloween the curse of Michael Myers if that makes sense, it wouldn't be wrong for one of Mats first thoughts to be a cult, especially since he does videos on media with cults in them.
K I'm done, I'm typing this on my phone my fingers hurt goodbye.
