Wild: Mosra
[ID: A light brown wolf, with beige paws, muzzle and neck, with a brown marking along the upper back and green on the sides. End ID.]
Integrated into the pack alongside Jet, Mosra is the only other wild wolf from the pack, besides Ashlen. Raised in the harshness of the Tundra, Mosra learned early on how to survive, which she now teaches to her new pack, hoping the human-raised wolves she now lives with will manage to thrive in the thriving mountain the pack is located in.
Born to an already numerous pack, Mosra constantly had to fight her way into earning her place, going into so many hunting parties that by her second year she already was bringing the majority of the pack’s food, despite only being afforded a few bites because of her age. She would constantly fight with her siblings, in an effort to show herself as someone worthy of a higher station to the leaders, however, everything would go soon to waste.
When she was four years old, she already could not run as fast as before, her paws fragile and constantly in pain from overworking herself. causing her to start going less and less in hunts. The pain made her more irritable, and would snap at others frequently, which lowered even more the already poor vision the pack had of her.
In fear of this, she tried to pick up her pace, but pain made her slow, and her focus was almost non-existent each time she went out. Driven to almost the edge by the resentful rumors of her packmates, who were very annoyed with her from being “lazy” and wasting resources, she started to try to hunt at night. And during one night, slow and weak from the pain, she did not notice the bear trap laying on the floor until it was too late, almost losing her paw.
She barely managed to escape, only to, when having returned home, be confronted by her pack. The supplies were running low, and the Tundra was already a scarce place for prey, and so, Mosra was exiled from her pack, as she would not be able to contribute if injured. While leaving her former’s pack territory, she met Jet, a human-raised wolf, who she struck a close friendship with. The other cared for her injuries, and soon, they started traveling together, in search of a place to stay, surviving on leftovers and rotting carcasses.
Found by Ashlen and welcomed into the pack, Mosra tries her best to help, part of the hunting party to teach the others how to hunt. Sarcastic and almost mean to a point, she is very loved by the pack, and is to who most wolves go when in need of advice, the perfect packmate to talk to when needing to vent. She’s still discovering how to be happy without sacrificing herself, but the pack will help her find herself.

Hi azka pack here lol. 10, 19 and 21 for the ask game??? 👀
hey! ty for the ask!
10. “Natural” for a given value of natural haha. I’m def not breeding for bright blue or pink, but I’m sure there are some markings & eye colours in my pack that can’t occur in the wild lmao
19. I am really hoping for events coming soon! tbh, the game feels a little spartan w/out em (I know developing stuff takes a long time etc etc I don’t blame the devs, my interest is just starting to taper off a bit w/ no monthly variation in the gameplay like LD had).
UH, & I’d love if the first event had like... event studs or special claimable NBWs who had the first tier 3 / special base coats! that’d be a fun way for them to release those into the game, and a little ‘fairer’ than a raffle imo. So that would be my hope for an event IG!
21. PRETTY MUCH all realistic, although my one wolf Carnassial I’d say is a BIT supernatural, since she comes from the rowan tree pack & they’re all full up on supernatural stuff over there :P
which, IDK, I think its kinda funny cause my LD pride lore was full-on Gods and Ghosts and Spirits & etc.

Don’t Trust Dumbledore ch. 41
Harry,
Please come see me after your last class.
-Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
P.S. I enjoy Ice Mice
Harry tried not to glare at the note. A tiny first year had delivered it to him after Defense before rushing away. He knew that the headmaster was going to question him, again, about what happened. It just pissed him off that the man thought he had any authority to do so. He wasn’t Harry’s parent or guardian, no matter what he claimed, he wasn’t an auror or member of the ministry, Albus Dumbledore had no right to question him. And yet, the man would. Harry sighed. Dumbledore would sit there in his chair, pretending to be Harry’s friend and question Harry about where he had been and what had happened, and Harry got a slight thrill at knowing he was going to lie and fool the old man. But he was still nervous, Dumbledore was smart and powerful, if Harry misspoke or slipped up all Harry’s plans could be ruined. Draco, Remus, Sirius, even Snape and the twins could be in danger.
He took a deep breath, set the parchment on fire and walked towards Remus’s rooms.
The wolf opened the door before he even knocked, smiling, at least he was until he saw Harry’s face.
“What’s wrong?” Remus asked pulling him into the room.
“Dumbledore wants to see me.” Harry flinched at the growl his godfather let out.
“Should I come with you?” Remus asked after a second.
“I don’t know,” Harry said dropping down into a chair. “I don’t like the idea of being alone with him, but wouldn’t it seems strange that I brought you with me? I’ve never had anyone join us before?”
“True, but I’m staying here now. We could easily say I asked you to join me for dinner. That you came to tell me you didn’t know how long you would be, and I insisted on joining you. You were after all just kidnapped and held prisoner for two months, it is believed that I would want to stay close.”
Harry grinned at the wolf, relieved that he wouldn’t have to face the headmaster alone. “Let’s go then shall we?” Remus chuckled and pulled him out of the chair.
Their happy mood faded as they stopped outside the Gargoyle that protected the Headmasters office.
“Ice mice,” Harry told the statue which slowly moved out of their way. He clenched his hands tight, took a breath, and then relaxed, he could do this.
Walking up the stairs, he resisted the urge to turn around and run. That small part of him that he was just starting to understand urged him to go find Draco. But he ignored it and knocked on the door.
“Come in,” the headmaster called.
When he entered the room, he almost rolled his eyes at the sight of the headmaster behind his desk. The old man smiled at him, “Oh, Harry, my boy, come in.” And Harry knew the second the headmaster registered Remus because there was a twitch to the wizard’s mouth before he smiled, “Hello, Remus, I wasn't aware you would be joining us.”
“Well, me and Harry had plans, I’m helping him catch up on his homework, and dinner of course. When he told me you wanted to see him, I figured I would come along and then we could sneak into the kitchens, get a few snacks and head back to my rooms.” Harry had to give it to the wolf, he sounded excited and lighthearted about their failed plans and even though Harry knew it was a lie, he still thought it sounded like the truth.
“I see,” the headmaster said, still smiling, “well then I won’t keep you long. I just wanted to see how Harry was doing? And see if he remembered anything else about what happened?” The headmaster looked at him, and Harry was quick to look away, not wanting to give the man a chance to read his mind. “Maybe offer someone to talk to.” The man added on at the end in a gentle voice and Harry was instantly furious. The man was so full of it.
“Albus, Harry isn’t ready to talk about it,” Remus berated the headmaster, Harry could hear some of the wolf’s anger in his tone, and from the surprised look on Dumbldeors face so did the old man.
“Remus I meant --”
“I know what you meant, headmaster,” Remus cut him off, “everyone is pressing him to talk about it, you, the ministry, his friends, Harry needs time. And I would appreciate it if you would allow him some.” Harry’s mouth fell open. He was not expecting this. He turned to look at his godfather, Remus just gave him a reassuring smile.
He heard Dumbledore cleared his throat and turned to the man. He gritted his teeth and the fake guilty look the man now wore. “ I wasn’t aware,” Dumbledore said softly, “I am sorry Harry. If you would like me to speak to the ministry for you, ask them to back off, I can.”
Seriously?, Harry thought. “No thanks, Sir, Remus has already talked to them.” He smiled openly letting the headmaster see how happy he was about this. He almost laughed when he saw a hint of anger in the headmasters eyes. It was gone quick though.
“Well, my boy, I'm here for you, should you need it.”
Remus put his hand on his shoulder, and that helped him not to snap at the man that he would never need him.
“Thank you,” he said, with difficulty.
“Headmaster,” Remus said, in way of goodbye and he steered Harry out of Dumbledore’s office.
Harry kept his cool until they were back in Remus’s room, then he shrugged off his godfather’s hand.
“I hate him!” He shouted. “He thinks he can just do whatever he wants. That he can control us all like little pawns, he is worse than Voldemort. At least the Dark Lord,” he sneered the man’s name, “is up front about what he wants.” He swung around and looked at Remus, “He ruined my life! And Sirius’s, even yours, for what? Fame? power?” He felt tears build in his eyes as he dropped down on Remus couch. “Why does he hate me?” the last part was mumbled as he lost most of his anger.
Remus Pov
He watched as Harry ranted and felt helpless. He understood his cub’s anger, he understood the desire to scream and yell until he had no voice, he had been tempted many times in the last week or so. Even so, he had no idea how to make that anger go away. At least not instantly.
“Why does he hate me?” Harry whispered after he collapsed onto the couch.
Remus sighed. He sat down next to Harry taking his cub in his arms. “I don’t think it’s hate, I think the headmaster has a plan. Probably one that gives him the most power, and you are as you said a pawn. A piece on his chest board. He has plans for you, for Voldemort, and he doesn’t care about anything but you two doing what he wants. As for me and Padfoot, we were, are in the way.”
He felt Harry relaxing against him. His godson remained quiet, probably thinking over what he said. Remus shifted a little so that he was comfortable and closed his eyes.
He thought back to the conversation he had with the twins, the one right after him and Siri had read James and Lily’s wills. Where they told him about werewolf laws and how it was legal for him to have custody of Harry. As a godfather and one of the people listed in Harry’s parents wills, there was nothing the ministry could have done to stop him from taking Harry. He had been furious. Furious at Dumbledore for the man had lied and manipulated him into not fighting for Harry, and himself because he gave into his own fear and doubt. Fear of Moony and the doubt that he would make a good father to Harry, after all he wasn’t James. He had to leave the room, afraid that he might lose control and hurt the twins due to his anger.
After he calmed down he couldn’t stop thinking about how James and Lily had trusted him to take care of Harry if something happened to them. He had cried at James’s faith in him and then laughed at how Liy had just assumed that no matter what, he would have been there, helping Sirius.
He felt so guilty that he had let Dumbledore manipulate him. He had trusted the man so blindly, that when Dumbledore said there wasn’t a will and that he would be unable to gain custody of Harry, that he believed him, without looking into it. After all he had thought Dumbledore was their friend.
He had believed the lie that with Sirius in Azkaban, Harry’s guardianship fell to Lily’s sister. It even made sense to him, as Petunia was Harry’s closest living relative. Still he had begged to be allowed to see Harry, but he was told that it would be confusing and dangerous. How would Harry’s Aunt and Uncle explain him to Harry, and how guilty would he feel if a supporter of the Dark Lord followed him to Harry?
He had pleaded until he couldn’t take the denials anymore. He was grieving the loss of his friends and pack and having to be told time and time again he wasn’t allowed to see Harry, it was just too much. So, he threw himself crappy jobs all over the country trying to lose himself in exhaustion and distractions.
He would regret that for the rest of his life. But know that he knew the truth, not only that he was able to fight for custody of Harry, but about Sirius lack of trial, he was going to do everything he could to ruin Dumbledore’s plans.
He knew Harry was communicating with Amelia Bones about Sirius trial. How she had gotten the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement to go along with their fake kidnapping he didn’t know but he was grateful to the woman. She had already sent Harry several letters about her plans for a private questioning of Sirius. She told Harry that since there had been no trial that she didn’t need to apply for a retrial, in fact all she had to do was question Siri under a truth potion with two witnesses. If Sirius wasn’t guilty she would file the correct paperwork and his name would be cleared, and there would be nothing anyone could do about it.
She did say that Harry’s custody would be a little more difficult. With Dumbledore hiding the Potter’s wills and placing Harry in the custody of his Aunt, Sirius and him would have to be able to prove that went against Lily and James wishes. Which they could do now that they had the wills. Then she warned that Sirius had to prove he was capable of taking care of Harry, she was worried that Dumbledore would use Sirius stay in Azkaban against him. Stating that after 12 years in the prison anyone would be damaged and in need of medical help. The last argument she brought up was uprooting Harry, he had spent the last 15 years with his aunt and uncle, Dumbledore could argue that taking him out of his home now could have a negative effect.
The last point is the only reason Remus knew about Harry’s letter to Amelia. Harry had been so furious when he had read that that his magic had lashed out and destroyed the office he was in. Remus the only one in the house at the time, had ran in the room panicked and terrified that something had happened. Harry had been standing in the middle of the room, magic swirling around him, the letter in his hand.
It had taken him 10 minutes to calm Harry down. When he had asked his cub what happened Harry’s just thrusted the paper at him.
After that Harry and him talked about it and he promised that his cub would not be going back to the Dursleys, even if he had to kidnap him and run off to another country. Harry had laughed and thanked him.
They hadn’t told Padfoot yet, both worried about getting his hopes up.
He knew that soon they wouldn’t have a choice, in her last letter Amelia said she had everything ready, expect the two witnesses, she had asked Harry if he had any recommendations. Harry had replied Arthur Weasley and Lucius Malfoy.
Remus had questioned him about Arthur, after all Molly was stealing from Harry and Arthur loved his wife and supported Dumbledore. Harry had told him, that Arthur’s name never appeared on any of the payouts nor the marriage contract. He said the the elder Weasley believed their father didn’t know what was going on, and that he was willing to give the man a chance. After all, he wouldn’t be able to tell Dumbledore anything until after Sirius was cleared. Remus was impressed when he realized that Harry was testing Arthur. He just hoped the man was as kind and loyal as four of his children.
He sighed, his head starting to hurt from thinking about it all. He almost moved before he realized Harry had fallen asleep against his side. A wave a nostalgia hit him as he remembered Harry in the past cuddled against his side, sound asleep. He smiled and leaned back against the couch, closing his eyes. A nap sounded wonderful at the moment.

Once In A Lifetime
Intro // Part 71
Harry didn't see Louis for the rest of the day. By the time they came back from lunch, they were again told that he had taken the rest of the day off and that they should consult Doctor Azka or the unit manager if they needed anything.
His first instinct was to send the doctor a message to find out if he's alright, but midway through typing he convinced himself that it's probably not a good idea seeing that he wants to keep his distance for a while.
So no message was sent, but Louis was on his mind for most part of the day.
When he got home a little later, he immediately took a shower and then had his dinner, Louis still on his mind, and he wonders if he should just send a message.
No. You're worried for nothing Harry, he convinces himself. You need to stay strong. Distance is what you need right now. But Purva said you shouldn't. No. It's not her heart that's getting stomped on. His thoughts are all over the place as he gets in bed and continues reading from where he left off the previous night.
He's officially finished with the first chapter when his phone vibrates next to him on the bed and he immediately picks it up- his heart sinking at the sight of the notification.
Turning down Louis is probably one of the hardest things Harry's done in his life. Okay, that sounds a bit dramatic. If he had to make a list of the hardest things he's ever had to do, this probably wouldn't even make the top ten, but he figures it's for the best. He's convinced himself that as much as he loves being held by the doctor, he needs more. And right now he's not sure Louis is able to give him that.
"You're avoiding the inevitable heartbreak, Harry." He tells himself before picking up his book to continue his reading. But to no avail. He's read the same sentence about twenty times when he gets up. He huffs in annoyance with himself. "Why are you so weak?" He asks aloud while emptying his overnight bag to pack a new set of clothes to wear to work the next day.

WOLVES!?
So, its happen since a weeks ago (if I’m not wrong). I read some stories with ‘fantasy’ as it genre. The stories tell me about witch, angel, death angel, vampire, werewolf, and magical life. And the most memorable is .. the werewolf. idk why but I think I’m a lil bit obsessed (okay not ‘lil bit’ but I’m totally obsessed tbh) with this weird things. And you can call me crazy because now, I really want have a wolf as my pet. I’m wondering how my parents reaction if I say that. lol. I can’t stop laughing when I imagine it.
Why I obsessed? because werewolf -and also the real volves- is amazing. Actually, I didnt really like werewolf before because in my country there is some ‘movie’ about werewolf life in our country and the visual editing is so damnit bad and it makes me hate the werewolf too bc it looks like not real. (well, werewolf is NOT REAL in FACT, azka, you are so stupid)
Okay so, I ever thought that werewolf is a werewolf. nothing special. But, the stories I read tell me and teach me that werewolf have a lot of amazing fact(?). From the stories I know some term that I don’t know before, such as: pack, alpha, beta, omega, rogue, mates, luna and others. But the most amazing thing is, from the stories, I know that wolves is a very loyal hunters. and it makes me want a wolf or wolves for my pet. and from now, I think wolf is officially my favorite animal! yeayy~~
Look at this cutie!!! ^
p.s. I know this post is seriously not important lol I just wanna write what inside my head, and now my head is full of wolvess!! Aauuuuuuuuuuuuuu~~ *howl* (help me, Im crazyy!!!)

The Released: Jet
[ID: A brown wolf, with lighter colored paws and darker back, with a slight purple hue in the fur. End ID.]
Found with Mosra, and integrated in the pack since the winter of the first year, Jet is a dedicated worker, helping around in whatever they can, normally helping with taking care of the pups.
From a sanctuary a few miles away from the pack, Jet was a animal ambassador for a big town, living quite happily in their closed enclosure with a few other wolves. While the wolves with which they cohabited were not their pack, Jet always tried their best to get close to them, despite the numerous rejections they got, as they had come from a zoo more inland, bred and raised in the chaos of the city, a stranger to the family that already lived in the sanctuary.
Eventually, everything came to an end, when during a violent protest from extremist animal activists, Jet, alongside all the wolves and other animals of the sanctuary, was released, the activists breaking in and cutting open the wires holding the animals.
In the chaos of it, Jet slipped away, running into the forests nearby and not stopping until all signs of humans nearby had disappeared. From then on, Jet wandered non-stop, surviving on rotting carcasses and left overs from other predators in the area, until they met Mosra, a wild wolf who had been driven away from her former pack because of her injured paw, which made it impossible for her to hunt.
Helping nurse her back to health, Jet and Mosra travelled together since then, exploring the territories around until they stumbled into Ashlen during a harsh winter. Invitated into the pack, Jet and Mosra kept themselves to the edge of the den, not sure of their place in the drama-filled pack they had landed on. It wasn’t until the next spring that the duo decided to stay, becoming a permanent fixture of the pack.
Independent, Jet tends to do their own thing, preferring to care for the pups and help around in minor tasks, as they are, to this day, awkward and unsure of how to socialize with the others. They care for the pack, nonetheless, and is frequent to see them keeping guard over the kids, in company of either Ashlen, who they became close friends with, or Mosra, their most trusted companion.

Solitary
Born from a very big family, Glawn used to live without any worry in a sanctuary. Part from a breeding repopulation project, Glawn spent most of her life used to humans, life contained within the walls that formed the pen where she lived with her family.
Used to being surrounded by lots of other wolves, all of glawn’s family had been bred in captivity, with the exception of Glawn’s father, who had been a rescue. Although a little cramped place, Glawn lived happily in the sanctuary until she reached adulthood.
——————————
Once Glawn became an adult, the humans started to act weird. They would slowly stop appearing around the pen, food already there when they left their den, everything already cleaned, and so on. Puzzled, Glawn’s family continued on with their lives, trying to not show the unease that it was filling them.
Every day was the same here, so this change was abrupt and out of the normal for them, causing them unneeded stress. The only wolf who managed to keep their cool was Glawn’s father, who had never managed to completely relax around the humans. Her father commented to her that this was a good change, as they walked around the perimeter in uncomfortable silence.
“This,” he had said, looking for the first time relaxed, “This could mean something good Glawn, do not fear change or it will always catch you off guard”
Life continued, as normal as it could be when the food stopped being brought dead and live prey slowly started being introduced, as humans fully stopped entering their territory, as they heard more and more sounds just outside their walls. They ignored it as best as they could, adapting to these strange changes in their once static territory.
One day, the prey that appeared was weird. It smelt like what litters used to smell before, and the goat did not struggle once while it was moved or killed. They ignored it, as they did with everything before it, and ate. It was not until hours later that Glawn woke up, disoriented and dizzy in a moving crate.
The air was crisp and cold, her breath appearing before her eyes for the first time ever. She could hear her siblings waking up around her, in similar crates, but no one could find a trace of their parents. Once everyone woke up they did a headcount, noticing that half of their siblings weren’t with them. Outside their cages, everything smelled strange and new, and one of her sisters even reported seeing the ocean nearby.
It was not until hours later when Glawn and her siblings were finally freed from their cages. They stood dizzy and warily there, as they watched the humans load the cages up and leave them behind, in this strange new land. They were in a meadow, the big open sky looming above them, with no walls in sight. They huddled together, deciding to wait until all were not longer dizzy to explore around.
The first days were harsh for them, not used to the wilderness most of her siblings quickly got loads of injuries. All prey quickly left the meadow, escaping each time any of them tried to hunt. In short, everything was going bad.
And it got worse when the worst of winter hit, blizzards hitting hard in the middle of them trying to leave the meadow in search of good places to live. The storm did not let up, worsening with every second they spent outside. In the middle of this Glawn was accidentally left behind, lost in the middle of the blizzard as she tried to find her siblings. Lost and cold, she wandered until she found an abandoned fox den, crawling into it, in search of warmth and safety from the blizzard outside.
She hunkered down there until steps from outside woke her up from her napping. She watched as another wolf entered the den, shivering as their black shape stopped dead blank when seeing her. Glawn wasn’t averse to sharing and invited the other in. They spent the entire night huddled together, sharing warmth as the blizzard raged outside.
Come morning, the two got outside, taking in the frozen place they were in. Snow extended as far as their eyes could tell, the sun barely shining between the dense clouds that covered the skies.
Ashlen, as the other wolf introduced themself, reminded Glawn achingly of her father. With a dark coat covered in silver hairs, blue eyes, and the walk of a predator, one didn’t have any doubt this was a truly wild animal of these lands. Ashlen smelled like ice and wilderness, something that awakened an old instinct inside Glawn. Ashlen looked like a true wild wolf, walking with the same posture her dad had all of his life.
At the invitation to join them, Glawn didn’t hesitate a single second before accepting, knowing that if she joined them only then she would survive. Glawn was fast, but she lacked all knowledge needed to survive in the wilderness. She was determined to find her siblings again, but maybe, for now, she could enjoy the peace with Ashlen a bit more.
They moved on, Glawn following Ashlen lead as they evaded the blizzards and storms of the waning winter, until they got to the mountains. There, where abandoned caves were big enough to accommodate a full pack, with lakes nearby to drink as much as needed and trees to cover them from the worst of the climate; they settled down.Glawn didn’t know what the future could hold for her and Ashlen, but she wasn’t too worried about it, safe in the knowledge that with the dark wolf beside her, she wouldn’t be caught off guard again.

Documentary: Lannel and Shivo
As Ashlen and Glawn settled down into their new territory, two brothers continue on their trek in finding a pack to belong to, deciding to try their luck on the mountains beyond.
Shive and Lannel are not afraid to admit they lived a sheltered life in their youth. It would be stupid to say otherwise, they both knew well their story.
---------------------------
Some of Shivo’s earliest memory is warmth, white walls around him as he drank from the milk he was offered. Warm hands handling him carefully, feeding him and taking care of him until he was old enough to be able to walk. His world as a pup consisted of white walls, a fire always lit and a couple of humans taking care of him.
Of course, in that time he did not have a name for the fire nor for his caretakers; he named them warmth and parents respectively, always around his siblings and his parents taking care of him. Lannel had been a stable fixture in his life, his sibling being besides him almost all the time.
Once they were old enough to survive the cold, they were introduced to more wolves, him and all of his siblings. The pack towered over them, whining excitedly, happy to meet them. They would spend a few hours outside everyday, talking with the grown ups as they were taught about what to expect from the outside.
Life was relatively easy, not having to hunt as the humans frequently brought them carcasses before they could even get hungry. Most of their worries were about letting the older wolves check frequently on them and play around in the snow and ice cold water. The only danger they could think of was cougars, who sneaked from time to time into their enclosure; but they were always chased out inmediately, the elders not wanting a repeat of what had happened to one of their sisters before.
The humans were always there too, carrying strange black boxes everytime they went outside to see them, hanging back and always ready to offer affection if any asked.
It was... peaceful...
But life progresses, and soon they were shipped in boxes and freed in a completely new place. Shivo and Lannel were the first liberated, as the youngest from the pack, soon followed by their siblings and then the elders. The humans soon left them, the pair who had raised them giving them pats before also leaving too.
The pack tried to stay optimistic, when they realized the humans were not coming back. They tried hunting, but as all their food was brought dead already and the most hunting they ever did was chasing after the odd mouse in their enclosure, well... easy to say they weren’t doing good.
Chased off by nearby packs, the members were slowly picked off, one by one. Either by injury, predators or by famine, soon most of the wolves had died, leaving behind a couple elders, Shivo and Lannel. The brothers, not wanting to end up dead like their siblings, soon took off on their own, decided to try and find a new place to live, or at least, a pack that could take them in.
Beaten and malnourished, they found themselves in the Azka territory by Glawn in one of her scouts. Taking pity on the poor wolves, Glawn brought them to the den she shared with Ashlen, giving them some food the pair had.
When Ahslen returned, they instantly gave permission for the brothers to stay, knowing that the siblings would not survive on their own, even if spring was already here. Shivo and Lannel, not wanting to give up this golden opportunity, soon accepted.
Life was looking good again for them, and knew that together, they had little to fear.

The Beginning
Ashlen was a strange wolf.
Silent and stoic, one would doubt sometimes the wolf was even alive, from how little they reacted to things around them. Their family grew to resent them, for they did not seem to know how to communicate with normal wolves. Never seeming to help outside of occasionally helping out with the litters, Ashlen soon grew to be a dead weight for their family.
Their old pack wasn’t ashamed to admit they were glad Ashlen had disappeared, that fateful misty morning when Ashlen decided to patrol their territory.
——————————
That morning, sensing the hostility in the air and how tense everyone was around them, Ashlen decided to go out and patrol their pack’s territory, since nobody wanted them around. Wandering to the edge of it, they sniffed around and quickly pranced towards a dead prey that was laying in the middle of some strange dark dirt. Ashlen quickly started eating it, deciding to at least get a snack out of this deal.
Unfortunately, so focused they were on their snack that they never did see the car speeding down the road.
Injured and almost killed, Ashlen was quickly brought to a wildlife rehabilitation center, where they would spend almost four months slowly recovering from their injuries. They would spend most of their time on quarantined, isolated from the other wolves of the center, as humans feared they weren’t the same species and would fight. Instead, Ashlen would spend most of their time in the company of the rehabilitators, constantly monitored in case their condition worsened.
Once they were all healed up, they were released in a completely different place from what their old pack territory was. Knowing deeply that they wouldn’t see their family ever again, Ashlen set off into the unknowns of these new lands, hoping for a new beginning. But nothing was easy for them, as the locals spoke way too different to what they were used to, and no matter how much Ashlen tried, they couldn’t manage to maintain any kind of positive relationship with any of the lone wolves around. Disappointed and almost ready to give up, Ashlen tried to find refuge from a snow blizzard into what they hoped was an abandoned fox den.
Finding themself face to face with a brightly colored wolf, wasn’t what they expected, Ashlen fully prepared to be chased out in an instant. Fortunately, the other canine was friendly and let them spend the night in the shared den, the two strongly pressed against the other, chasing away the infernal cold of the outside.
Come morning, Ashlen learned the other’s name, Glawn. The bright wolf was kind and sociable, easily understanding Ashlen when they tried to communicate. Desperate as they had finally found a friendly face, Ashlen quickly offered Glawn to join them in their journey into finding a place to settle down. Surprisingly, the she-wolf quickly accepted and so they went on, exploring around until after one week, they settled down, for now, deep in the mountains.
Only the future knows what it can hold for the newly created pack.

The Call of Strangers
As the newcomers slowly adjust to the new pack life, and try to tackle on their responsabilities; Ashlen patrols the borders incrisingly worried. Against their wishes, it appears something is coming towards the Azka territory.
-----------------------
Ashlen stared down the two sleeping brothers in the cave, waiting impatiently for them to get up. The sun was high in the sky, it’s gentle rays slowly melting the snow that was still left in the mountains.
Ashlen had woken up a while ago, and had already patrolled through all of their territory, bringing some small prey they had found so everyone could eat. They are supposed to take Shivo out to teach him how to bring down big prey today, but the wolf had been proven very hard to drive out of the cave, not wanting to leave their comfortable position.
Irritated, Ashlen left the brother’s cave and looked out into the valley below, wondering how to get Shivo out. It’s been already two full Moons since Shivo and Lannel joined, and Ashlen needed to desesperatly teach how to hunt big game and not die in the process, since Shivo was... At best, decent in managing to bring back quails. The small pack wouldn’t be able to survive on rats and small birds for long.
Small steps distracted them, and Ashlen looked up to see Glawn returning to their den, her fur dripping water and a fish in her mouth.
“They still haven’t woken up?” Glawn asked, shaking her fur and trying to get most of the water out of it.
“Yes. They seem adamant in sleeping” Ashlen sighed, looking too stressed for how early in the morning it was.
“Don’t worry, I’ll get them out” Quickly turning, Glawn entered the cave. Ashlen gave her 5 seconds before someone yelled.
...Huh, less than five seconds.
---------------
The two wolves walked down the rocky path, descending slowly from rock onto another rock, taking care to not slip, following the river down onto the grasslands.
Glawn jumped quickly and graceful, seemingly at ease in the difficult path, ever doubting where to walk. Lagging behind her was Lannel, practically strolling as he tried to watch everything, seemingly enamoured with the ambient.
“Come on, hurry up, the idea is to get down before night arrives!” Glawn called brightly, wagging her tail when seeing the other wolf kind of struggle with the rocks. “Be grateful it wasn’t raining during the night, otherwise you would have long slipped into the river!”
“Har har, very funny” Lannel muttered, huffing as he finally reached the small clearing the gold colored wolf was in. Tired, he went to the shore of the river and took a drink, wishing he was already back on the den.
Although Lannel liked helping Glawn scout, it was exhausting and he only wanted to to crawl back into his cool bed and sleep away the day. The heat only worked to make him more irritable, the sun hitting harshly against him, leaving him panting quickly in seconds whenever he dared to leave the protecting shade of the trees.
“Why are we even going to the grasslands anyways? The mountains are a good place and it’s not like there is anything interesting there” He was whining, but at this point he was too irritated to care. He eyed the river and after a few seconds of deliberating, he jumped in, sighing in relief as the cold water abated the cursed heat.
“For the same reason we are now scouting together instead of going separate ways like before”
...Oh.
"You... You don’t truly think that another pack would challenge us for our territory, right?” Lannel asked hesitently, sitting down in the shore of the river and looking worried at Glawn.
“I don’t know... But Ashlen said they wanted to have options, just in case” Sighing, the gold colored wolf wished that this wasn’t happening. That she were back on her home, with her siblings and waiting for the humans to bring their food. But the past is the past, and although Glawn misses her old home dearly, she wouldn’t give it up if it meant leaving her new pack behind.
“But even if the pack I smelt nearby tried to attack us, Ashlen would beat them, right?! Ashlen is like, invincible!” He exclaimed.
“I don’t know Lannel, while Ashlen surely is a good fighter well... I don’t know how well they would fare against a big pack”
“We could help fight!”
“Lannel, pal, I’m not trying to bring the mood down but we both barely know how to bite something. Your brother is the best than us, and he still gets hurt whenever he tries hunting something bigger than a quail” Glawn sighed and stood up “Come on, if we are fast we may yet arrive before the Moon rises”
Groaning, Lannel stood up and started following her behind. What he would give to be Shivo right now, his brother must be already back fro hunting, resting peacefully in the shade of their den.
----------------
“Ashlen wait it hurts!” Shivo yelped, trying to get away from the dark wolf, holding awkardly his paw.
Rolling their eyes, Ashlen continued applying the leaves onto the other’s injury, ignoring the whining as they tried their best to cover correctly the bleeding wound.
Once they were satisfied, they relented and stood back, burying back the leaves that were left over. Going back, they snapped their teeth at Shivo, who flinched back and let his paw in peace, from where he was going to lick it. The leader stared down the other, until Shivo whined and laid down, pouting.
“Okay I get it! I get it! Not licking the weird leaves until you say so” Laying down his head on his paws, Shivo sighed, closing his eyes as Ashlen circled around him, trying to see if he had any other injury “I swear that was the last one! Come on, I’m fine already”
Ashlen barked a laugh at that, but left the wolf alone as the leader stood back and went to retrieve the prey Shivo had managed to get back to the den. Carrying the bloody porcupine and leaving it buried underneath some leaves at the shade with the other food they had so far, Ashlen grabbed a rabbit and brought it back to the other, leaving the small morsel in front of him.
“I’m not hungry Ashlen, leave it for later” Ashlen told him something, but as always, Shivo just stared dumbly at the leader, still not managing to understand a single word of the other. After some time Ashlen rolled their eyes again and nudged him, until, huffing, Shivo started eating.
Looking satisfied, Ashlen nodded and nudged him one last time before turning and stretching.
“You going out again?” At the sharp nod of them, Shivo sighed and nodded “Oh wait! I forgot to tell you before, but when I was searching for the porcupine I found some tracks nearby the lake”
At the startled reacting of Ashlen, Shivo laughed and nodded “My exact reaction! It was nearby the lower lake, the one that connects to the river that leads towards the forest, you know the one with the big sharp trees?”
Looking grimly, Ashlen nodded again and turned around, starting the trek down. Shivo called after them, telling them to be careful. A laughing bark was the only answer he got before his leader disappeared down the mountain.
Yawning, Shivo blinked and grimaced. Just their luck, to find tracks of a big pack nearby when they were just settling in.
Oh well, he thought as he accomodated and closed his eyes to sleep, nothing more to do other than wait. He believed in Asheln, the leader was smart and he didn’t doubt the other had a plan for this.
No matter what, Shivo was sure they would manage to survive.
---------------------------------------
Sniffing around, Ashlen frowned deeply, staring at the old tracks that lead from the lake towards the forest. The tracks were at least a few suns old, and from what they could smell, clearly family.
Looking around, Ashlen found small bundles of bright golden fur around the edges, a clear signal from the strange wolves. Growling, Ashlen circled around the shore of the lake, upset at the clear trespassing in their territory. Sighing, they started following the tracks, taking care of where they stepped, not wanting to alert any stranger in case they were nearby.
Soon they arrived towards a small river, losing the scent of the strange pack. They saw deep scratches in the dirt and nearby trees, and a quick look told him how the other wolves probably encountered another predator here. Coming closer to the tree Ashlen grimaced, sneezing as they accidentally inhaled hair, yeah the other pack probably encountered a bear around here.
From the signs of the fight, Ashlen could deduce the pack had ran away after a brief fight. They probably were weak, which brought a lot of relief to Ashlen, if they were weak then they probably wouldn’t come back. A quick glance towards where the forest started again confirmed it, blood leading away into the deep of the trees. They most definitively didn’t escape uninjured.
Satisfied, Ashlen turned around and went back to their territory, using the opportunity to patrol the border once again, making sure to reaffirm their scent and clearly delimiting the border of their pack again, to try to scare away the other pack if it came back. Ashlen hadn’t mentioned it to the others, but every day they had started to found more and more trails of the strange wolves, seemingly progressing more and more into their territory.
Ashlen didn’t want to worry the others too much, but they were fairly nervous about this situation. While their companions didn’t understand it clearly, probably since they were raised by humans, Ashlen knew that wolves wouldn’t thread on another wolf’s territory unless they were willing to fight for it. And they were only willing to fight if the wolves were secure in the knowledge they would win the fight.
Ashlen’s pack was weak, all of their members young and inexperienced in the majority. Ashlen really, really didn’t want a confrontation; but as the days dragged in, it became more clear that the possibility was inevitable. Ashlen wasn’t willing to give up without a fight, having grown fond of the mountains they lived in, but they were scared. They are the most apt member of the pack to fight, and they doubted they could take an entire wolf pack on alone. The other pack easily surpassed them on numbers, the tracks too many to belongs to only two wolves.
Sighing, Ashlen turned and started the journey back into their den, the silent Moon already rising high into the sky, determined to get back and check back again on Shivo to see if his injuries were better now.
May the Moon help us, they thought bitterly, I won’t lose the home I just found.

The Siblings: Aursa
[ID: A wolf with a gold coat and a red and beige marking along the back. The underside is a faded white. End ID.]
One of the youngest of the surviving family, Aursa was stuck constantly trying to relieve tension in their small pack as they were released in the unforgiving wild.
Having been released in the beginning of winter, the family barely had any idea of what to do, and Aursa was left floundering, trying desesperatly to keep the family together, despite how difficult surviving was. His combative nature was not helpful, despite his efforts,
Having been raised in a sanctuary, not a single one of the wolves knew how to react, and they were slowly started to be picked off, as they waltzed from danger into danger, no matter how much his sister tried, they started to lose everyone. Forced to take the difficult decisions, to continue on after their siblings got lost in the storm, the family went towards the mountains, desesperate for shelter in the incoming winter.
Famine fell onto the pack like swift vultures, and Aursa watched it all happen, as his sisters tried luck with nearby packs and getting rejected, or even worse, killed. He tried his best to help out, but prey was scarce and no matter how much he tried, everything kept running away from him.
With only Clower and Honsu left, both heavily pregnant, they ended up in the territories of the Azka pack, without a care for the claims that had been laid down already, trying their best to survive there on rotten carcasses and left overs, until they were found by the pack.
Combative and slightly aggressive, Aursa loves to fool around and spar with his new packmates, despite how sometimes they are unwilling participants. He is knwon for teasing Glawn relentlessly, and while he thinks that Ashlen is a bit young to lead the pack, he respects their position.
Aursa quickly manages to integrate into the pack, and hopes, for the sake of her sister, that they manage as well.
