Autistic Knuckles headcanons because I'm autistic and struggling today

- Pressure stims!! He'll often press his knuckle spikes into his other palm when he needs grounding, or hold a chaos emerald very tightly so that the sharp point presses into his palm

- used to chew on his dreads a lot when he was younger- not so much now, but if he's ever very distressed he finds himself slipping back into the habit

- finds loud noises and bright lights very overstimulating- he really hates visiting the city for this reason

- I think travel would be a special interest of his, he loves to learn about different ways surface dwellers get around. Tails always has a blast info dumping to him about planes, trains ect and how they run, and even if Knuckles doesn't fully understand, he likes to listen anyway. This man is a big question asking nerd if you find the right topic

- spends a lot of time in the tunnels and caves around his island - small enclosed spaces make him feel secure, and they're always quiet and dim which is nice for his sensory needs

- just. Chewy stimming in general. Catch him nommin' on a stick or piece of bamboo while he does jobs around his island

- while he teases Sonic about being afraid of water, he can relate to an extent to hating the feeling of having damp or wet fur. Gross.

- going to the surface is hard enough with the lights, noises and unfamiliar areas, but there's also the added stress of being away from the ME. When he's on Angel Island, the Master emerald works to regulate his body temperature, but this doesn't extend to the surface. He is cold, please help him

- wears clothes on the surface occasionally for this reason (hoodies, jackets, ect. Often gifts from his friends) but he has to cut the tags out first

Moving To Canada

Hey guys, I'm finally starting to get my stuff together to prepare to move back to Canada. It's a very overwhelming process for me as I have c+ptsd and some of it surrounds my last move. Though I don't see moving back to Canada as a bad thing, but an escape from things where I am, I still have a lot of trauma from having to move where I currently am and it's kicking up the old anxiety. BUT, I am doing my best to slowly get to where I am ready to go.

I am however in need of money to move. Many things I need to have brought back to Canada and many of those things I'm unwilling to give up. Things I've had all my life, or I have a deep connection to as they are related to my late husband. SO! If you would like to help, I have just updated my shop with many new things that I debuted at Sonic Expo in Dallas 2024. You can buy these things on my Etsy, or if you want to help and would rather do a donation, I do have a Kofi. I will post both links. I will eventually have original 4x6's of Amy, Ray, and Tails on my Kofi that will be set at $50 each. I'm just very tired from listing new items on my shop for the past three days! The third sonic movie is gonna come out in december 25st, already doing some sonic-related artworks to get in the heat! 🦔🏃‍♂️💨

My mind can't stop thinking about a Sonic role swap AU that switches around the roles of Sonic and Knuckles, mostly because of how interesting of an idea it sounds to have someone like Sonic, someone that likes exploring the world and going on adventures and stuff, being trapped on a small floating island, destined to protect the Master Emerald

I can't stop imagining Sonic trying his best to simply smile whenever Knuckles or anyone else that comes to visit Angel Island has to leave, not letting his loneliness be noticed by anyone around him. His heart yearns to be free, but he has a destiny to fulfill, has had one to fulfill almost his entire life up to that point.

So he stays on that little floating island, waiting for anyone to visit as he guards the Master Emerald, as he watches to world move past him while he's anchored to his destiny. Running through the same locations time and time again, hoping that if he somehow runs fast enough, that anchor will just... break. And set him free.
