“This is a monumental win for forests, for wildlife, for climate, and for the hard-working people who have spent countless hours surveying for endangered species, preparing evidence for court cases, lobbying, and campaigning. Some have been fighting for this for over three decades.”

I’ve never been more disappointed to be Australian. How could you? How fucking could you? How could you vote no?
This is a sad day, and shows how much Australians truely haven’t changed from 1965. If anything we’ve gone backwards.
Fuck you Australia. I hoped for the best and I never feared for the worst. Get fucked

Violence against women is a MENS ISSUE.
We will never be able to stop this and live in peace and safety unless the underlying cause is identified, addressed and fixed : it is a valuing issue. Cultural, institutional. While institutions are slowly changing, cultural value systems that circulate about women in men's circles are not catching up.
We can't solve this.
You have to.
It is a human rights issue.
If you do understand that women are human beings equal to you and treat them as such, please understand it is your duty to circulate and normalise that, and culturally correct misogyny in any form it presents itself among your fellow males.
I'm really sick of this. All women are.
We can see who these people who do not see us equally are. Often it's people who think it isn't them.
It's everywhere.
Culturally males are fed particular messaging about genders that present in their unconscious and conscious behaviour, bias, subjectivity. Please work on yourselves. Even if you think you don't need to. Check your privilege. And when and where you see it in others - CALL IT OUT. THEN AND THERE.
We can't fix a culture we aren't part of. Only you can.

Jewish Terrorist Slaughters Australians

Jewish Benjamin Cohen stabs 7 people to death in Australia.
Including a small baby still fighting for its life.
If he were Muslim, the media would have highlighted his religion and that he were a terrorist.
Therefore it’s only fair and right to highlight his religion and label him a terrorist too.

Noah De Losa shares: “I’d become a doctor and that was representative with the cap but I really wanted to represent my Queer journey as well.
I identify as quite gender fluid, and I love makeup. I love femininity, and I really love drag. It’s something that feels very authentic to me. I really love the art form, I love the history of it, and I love the provocative nature of it.”

Australia raises terror threat level
Australia has raised its terrorist threat level from “possible” to “probable,” indicating a more than 50 per cent chance of an attack being planned in the next 12 months, Australian media reported.
Mike Burgess, director-general of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO), said the country’s intelligence agencies had prevented eight possible terrorist attacks in the past four months.
“Probable” is the average level of the five-level National Terrorism Threat Warning System, which has been warning of a “possible” attack since November 2022. Prior to that, it was equal to “probable” for eight consecutive years.
Mr. Albanese told a news conference that the decision reflected intelligence about the current climate of extremism in Australia, rather than any specific known threat. He also added:
“I want to reassure Australians probable does not mean inevitable, and it does not mean there is intelligence about an imminent threat or danger.”
Mr. Burgess warned that Australia’s security environment had become more volatile as “more Australians are becoming radicalised and radicalised at a faster rate … (and) embrace a wider variety of extremist ideologies.”
Australia downgraded its threat level to “possible” in 2022, after eight years at the “probable” level.
There have been several violent attacks in Australia in recent months, some of which have been labelled extremist.
In April, Australian police said a knife attack on an Assyrian bishop and several of his followers in Sydney was an act of terrorism motivated by suspicions of religious extremism.

JULIAN ASSANGE REACHES PLEA DEAL WITH UNITED STATES JUSTICE DEPT
Journalist Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, who has been detained in Belmarsh Prison in the UK for the last 5 years, has reached a plea deal with the United States Justice Department.
According to published court documents, the intrepid journalist, Julian Assange (52yo), an Australian citizen, will plead guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Obtain and Disclose National Defense Information. This despite not being an American citizen, nor committing any crimes inside United States territory.
Assange has, until now, denied he violated any laws while receiving classified United States national defense documents beginning in 2009 from Chelsea Manning, who herself was convicted for passing documents to Assange and other news outlets.
Assange has repeatedly insisted he has done nothing more or less than any other journalist would do, and worked to protect his sources as other news outlets would typically do.
Reporting in the US mainstream media states that Assange will be in court on Wednesday at 9am in the Northern Mariana Islands, appearing before US District Court Justice Ramona Manglona to plead guilty to the charge in exchange for a sentence of time served, 62 months in the British Belmarsh prison, after which, he will be returned to his home country of Australia.
The charges stem from documents Assange received from Chelsea Manning, at the time a Military Intelligence analyst. Assange published the documents to the news organization he founded, WikiLeaks, in one of the largest dumps of classified information in American history, revealing a multitude of war crimes committed by American occupation forces during their invasion of Afghanistan and subsequent illegal invasion of Iraq.
The court documents revealing Assange's plea deal were filed on Monday evening in the US District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands, a US-occupied territory in the Pacific Ocean.
Assange will appear in court on Wednesday, and is expected to be sentenced to 62 months, with credit for time served in British prison, allowing Assange to return to his country of citizenship.
Assange has been held in Belmarsh Prison in the UK for the last 62 months, where his health has rapidly deteriorated, with many of those closest to the journalist suggesting in recent months he could die from poor health if not released soon.

“Almost 4,000 hectares of koala habitat in the Hunter region of New South Wales will be protected after the land was privately acquired for conservation.
Sydney philanthropists Andrew and Jane Clifford bought the property north of Newcastle, which scientists from the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) estimate is habitat for more than 100 vertebrate species, including the endangered koala and 11 other animals listed as threatened.
The property was previously used for small-scale timber harvesting, but its ecosystems – which range from dry sclerophyll forests at its peaks to wet rainforest in the deeper gullies – are mostly intact, making it well-suited for conservation.
The property is surrounded on three sides by largely intact forest, including the Ghin-Doo-Ee national park to the east and two other privately-owned forested blocks. Connected forests are important for wildlife conservation because they allow animals to move freely from place to place...
The koala populations of NSW, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory were listed as endangered this year, and a 2020 NSW parliamentary inquiry found the species would be extinct in the state by 2050 unless governments took urgent action to protect koala habitat and turn the declines around.
“The success of this new sanctuary is important not only for the future of native wildlife but for the conservation landscape of Australia,” Allard said.
“It will demonstrate to the rest of the world what can be done with private land to create better outcomes for Australia’s biodiversity and provides hope for threatened native wildlife and their habitats.”” -via The Guardian (US), 11/9/22
