something incredibly powerful is how healing these encampments as community spaces have been for so many. I’ve seen undergraduates get tutoring from graduate students, students who are food insecure receive three meals a day, students share their art and exchange gifts…. Seeing students put aside these typical structures of power aside has been incredibly fulfilling to watch. So many different people from many different backgrounds have learned from each other and exchanged their resources. I wish student protestors all over the US the very best. There is so much selflessness and passion in these spaces

As the police escalate violence, beat and attack students and professors, and conduct mass arrests, student protesters should know their rights.

some of the states are just real bad at the fake name thing; like Kentucky panicked when someone asked his name once and now in a total of four towns he's gotta go by Tucker and in another four Kenny. Florida just tells people his name is Flo and when ppl point out that's usually a woman's name he pretends to be all offended and says he was named after his grandma. California accidentally started to introduce himself as California but caught himself and now his name is Calvin, Michigan doing the same thing and ending up with Mitchell. Indiana out here introducing himself as Indiana and then having to lie and say his parents just really liked Indiana Jones. The Dakota's are fighting over who gets Dakota for their civilian name, they have an elaborate story about being separated at birth and accidentally named the same thing. Texas has on multiple occasions told someone his name was Austin bc it was just the first thing that came to mind (Austin gets upset bc "thats my name" "shut up"). Georgia has gone by George multiple different times, but it's arguably funnier when Washington goes by George.

But she kept close behind, her need to be around them fairly obvious almost everywhere they went together. "I'm happy, too. You spoil me." She was gleaming, the innocent features of her porcelain face making her seem like a kid in a candy store. Now if only she could make him feel the same way she was right now. "Definitely home. My feet hurt from all the walking and I'm in need of some alone time with you."

Approaching the car, she first situated the giant dog stuffed animal into the back seat, before sliding into the passenger seat. Once she was settled, she leaned across the center console, her lips finding his face, the side of his neck, his jawline, his collarbone, anything she could reach. She wanted to make sure he knew how thankful she was for taking her, and what better way than to show him her appreciation? "Thank you for taking me out and thank you for my prize. I'll need to find a good enough space for it. It's so big, no idea what we're going to do with this thing."

June 1983. The sixth issue of Marvel's licensed Indiana Jones series, written by David Michelinie from a plot idea by Archie Goodwin, provides a rare opportunity to see Indy and Marion Ravenwood on the loose in 1930s New York, dealing with the opening of Marion's new nightclub, the Raven's Nest. Aside from its excellent artwork by Howard Chaykin and Terry Austin, this issue's highlight is an amusing scene where Marion holds a gangster's rare Enrico Caruso wax recording at gunpoint! Mostly a nice change of pace from the customary globetrotting supernatural adventures, the story is marred by its condescending treatment of Jamal, a Greenwich Village antiques dealer of Indy and Marion's acquaintance, which strikes me as rather racist — a frequent problem for this franchise, in any medium. THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF INDIANA JONES wasn't highly regarded in its day, but while it's uneven, it holds up pretty well compared to later Indiana Jones adventures, including the dire fourth and fifth movies and the misguided TV series.
