Happy Little Accidents

The last thing Eddie Diaz expects to come out of his trip to Buckley’s Plant Nursery & Landscaping with his son, is to develop an honest to god schoolgirl crush on the guy who owns the place (and not notice that that is what’s happening for an embarrassingly long time).  

The plan is simple. Get in, have Christopher pick out a couple of succulents or whatever he needs for his school project, and get out without infesting any of the gorgeous plants in the shop with his bad plant karma. 

But then, the first thing he’s greeted with is a hunk of a man, carrying two heavy packs of soil on his broad shoulders. Eddie swears he can see a drop of sweat running down the man’s face in slow motion. His t-shirt looks like it’s one strategic muscle flex away from bursting at the seams and Eddie—Eddie feels nervous all of the sudden. And he’s gaping like a fish. 

“Hey,” Hunk-man says as he hoists the soil on the counter next to him with a grunt, “What can I help you with?”

At least Eddie has enough self-awareness to close his mouth.

Or: the one where Buck owns a plant nursery and Eddie stumbles through his crush (and has no game during all of it)—oh and also, there are a lot of Bob Ross references.

Would a pining un-romanced Emmlich eavesdrop on ROOK flirting and/or getting it on with other members of the team?

I think, at least in my headcanon, Emmrich has gone so long being detached from sexual desire, and also kind of loses his rational mind when Rook enters the picture.

Emmlich feeling some kinda way about all this pining. From a distance. Because you know he's likely going to try pushing a flirty Rook away.

Heavy duty longing, and really strong impulses he can't act upon.

Upon discussion of how I'd rather see Rain with Literally Almost Anyone other than D*mon (although I clearly have favorite ships for her):

The Case for Kur*to has been made! He works perfectly for the MKEU specifically!

It keeps in line with the Age Gap and Dating For Spite themes beautifully as Revenge Against Her Father once the Plausible Deniability has completely worn out for Ky*ji and Mik*mura's behavior.

He can pay her way through college

He can use his government connections and the fact that her father works for him already as leverage to get her into the best residency programs in the best hospitals in the country.

He's her father's boss and can make her father Absolutely Miserable for her.

He's self absorbed and likely to be easily manipulated by her if the situation with her dad and her ex-boyfriend has disillusioned her to romance and made her more keen on securing her goals for her education and possibly gotten her thinking on building up savings to move out of the country -- maybe to Turkey where that beautiful and kind Study Abroad Student Sa*tte is from....

She can meet All*nby when she gets injured in the Gymnastics program and claim that they're just really good friends that hang out and do girl stuff together like shopping and fashion and gossiping at college. 💖 UuU

To start dating Kuro*a she breaks up with D*mon - who she started dating when Ky*ji managed to finally find and bring him home with Andrew's help.

Then she starts hanging around the research facility on campus on days that she knows he's coming in for updates and presentations.

She asks if he has any company for lunch and makes her move then! 🎉

WiP Wednesday

I know, I know, I'm a day late but ksksks who cares 😅, anyhow, I got tagged by so many people (@mellaithwen @spotsandsocks @rewritetheending @gayhoediaz @renecdote @nymika-arts @homerforsure and @buckactuallys 😘😘) over the last couple of weeks (life's been fucking stressful) and I finally wrote a bit of the cursed!Buck fic, so here you go, it's gonna get angsty and spooky :)))

Before all of this, Buck hadn't thought of a curse as a living thing. He hadn't thought of curses at all, to be honest. 

But it's been six years and while it was a mere whisper at the beginning, almost an illusion easily ignored, he can feel it so clearly now. Running through his veins, soaring through every fiber of his body, a sizzling heat of dark and restless energy burning underneath his skin. It's alive, it's angry and it's screaming. They are so intrinsically linked at this point that—as Buck casts a tear-filled gaze to the upper level of his loft—he's pretty sure that there is no Buck and the curse, but that he is the curse.

The worst thing is that it's a punishment for a crime he didn't even commit. 

It's 3am when he grabs his phone and dials a number he—by now—knows by heart. As he's waiting for the call to connect, he thinks, no. The worst thing is that he still deserves all of it. That he knew, and still couldn't be the better person. 

"Hey," he whispers when the person at the end of the line picks up. His voice sounds foreign to his own ears, thick and muffled, as though his head was filled with cotton. He's so overcome with grief and an abundance of other emotions that numbness starts to take their place.

He wipes the tears from his cheeks and after one deep and shaky breath he continues, "I-I need your help, I fucked up."

Ok back on my bullshit if creating needless crossover au ideas:

God of War Ragnarok and Detroit: Become Human, but it’s just Týr finding himself being swept into the android revolution on his travels through America.

I like the idea that Týr is a traveler- he often disguises himself as a homeless man on said travels. Helps keep his status of godhood secret, though one winter while bunking out in an abandoned church who should come knocking on his door but the remnants of Jericho and her peoples leaders?

Obviously I’d think he’d be following their story on a radio he stole and patched up, keeping an ear to the wind about deviants and those who pass through in the alleyways. Small blessing from him to struggling androids trying to reach Jericho even though Týr himself doesn’t know where she sits specifically. The Jericho Four obviously don’t take kindly to finding a human in the church but, HC again, I like the idea of the deviant androids working with some of the homeless to get spare parts and thirium in exchange for stuff like clothing and food.

So Markus and Simon break the argument ‘Our people are cold, injured and waterlogged. We need this space for the night.’ Týr, still disguised as a homeless dude, stays hidden in one of the churches back rooms. Watching Jericho’s people silently; in pride of them taking matters into their own hands. Seeking justice in their own ways of stealing and protests and riots when words don’t work.

‘Humans are fickle beings. Seeking to wield power in swaths and failing to heed any consequences when they come knocking at their door. Creating life and failing dog to recognize its own intelligence; the failure of a parent to their child.’

Obviously this is just a small bump to Týr and his travels. He knows the people will make it through this winter, he’d thought Fimbulwinter would be the end and yet here he stood. In the shadow of new budding leaders and their cause for recognition he’ll leave once they do.

A mangy dog tailing their protest and watching from afar at the barricade they will build and the last stand they make as song breaks out over the tense silence. He knows they will be ok.
