After having an idea of what she looks and is like in my head for so long, I finally drew Athena.

I got a few notes about her so far.

She is taller than Ares, and he is already tall. For reference, Hermes is the height of the average male during that time period, and you've seen how short he is compared to Ares.

She isn't very cold or stoic. Instead, she is often seen smiling when outside of serious situations and has a loud hearty laugh.

She has a similar clothing color palette to Ares to show they are similar. I've seen it too many times where people see Athena differently in relation to Ares, seeing her as more peaceful and morally superior. Meanwhile, she is said to love war just as much as him. So, to me, they are on the same coin. I ain't going to put them against each other, going "this one is much better than the other!". They are friends and will always be friends. They are holding hands, skipping around in a field of flowers in my mind right now, actually, and there's nothing you can do to stop me. *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧Friendship*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧

Librarians fans, anyone a Percy Jackson and the Olympians fan? Do you know how Athena - a virgin goddess - has demigod children? (In PJO). Her children are concieved through the melding Athena's divine thoughts and the ingenuity of her chosen mortal partner. Athena's children are born from the head like she was. They are literally brain children.

This thought crossed my mind. Jacob "genius IQ, has several honary degrees from universities in four continents, historian, art expert, architecture expert, martial artist, speaks 9 languages and can read 12 more including Greek, mechanicallyminded" Stone, is actually the type of partner that would catch Athena's eye.

Imagine if the librarians came into work one day a there was a baby??? Just there?? In the Annex??

Can we un-normalize hating on Greek gods we’ve read nothing about? Actually, that applies to everything. Educate yourself before you form an opinion.

Tons of people hate on Ares for no reason, or they use the excuse of “But he’s violence, he’s bloodlust. He’s bad war”. Which is a total over-simplification of him! Ares is the emotion that goes into war, the passion to fight for something you believe in. Even THAT was a pretty simple explanation of him.

Most of the time, people just choose Athena because they think that:

B) She’s “good war”

C) More people like her

I have no problem with liking Athena. She’s very cool, I was her for Halloween during my religious denial era! (Yes that is what I call it.) But most people like her because people didn’t mention anything “bad” about her, while they only mentioned the “bad” things about Ares. So, they had very little knowledge when forming their option on who was “better” to them.

I truly believe that if people read more about Ares, and formed their OWN opinion on him, more people would like him. (Also I’m really tired of the only people that like him being some people on tumblr, devotees of him, and middle school boys who okay Fortnite.)

Idk, Ares is my favorite. I pray to him, I could entirely be biased. I’m just tired of people being silly gooses <33

I personally never liked the version of Athena where she is stoic and much more reserved than the rest of the people in the room, refraining from squabbles and flaws, and just watching others act like fools. Yes, she is wise, but she still is able to act like the others and get into silly feuds, like when she got involved with the argument with Hera and Aphrodite over the golden apple, which I feel like it a vain thing all three of them did. I like acknowledging all of the gods' flaws, especially the ones I do like, because why would I say that I like them and try to erase pieces of them?

Desire for Peace Athena has her admirable qualities, but she also has kept her flaws. She is just as proud of her beauty as Aphrodite is, and Ares would say the same about Aphrodite being vain. Well, he'd acknowledge it, but probably wouldn't say it to her face like he would to his own sister (Athena and Ares still have their sibling conversations consisting of boldly pointing out each other's flaws), if he did, he would probably find himself madly in love with an ant for a week.

He also does get thrown into a nearby river after this, by the way.
