The Arthurian vibes are dripping off the Star Wars prequels. I've talked @dandyvampling's ear off at length about it but seriously. It's just "What if Lancelot and Mordred were the same person?" and it goes hard.

Even without mentioning things like the code, the round table, and being called knights; the narrative arc of both are very similar.

The forbidden love between a knight and a queen.

The "best knight" is ultimately the one responsible for the fall of their society by murdering their fellow knights to save the one they should never have been in love with to begin with.

Said knight also fails to be the chosen one due to their flaws, but their child steps in and fulfills that role instead.

It all ends in a climactic battle between an elder figure who tried their best to uphold their ideals and an ambitious younger figure who had been done wrong by the system but who ultimately ends up tearing everything they desired down.

The Outlaw
