My ducktales swap au

This is actually a remake of my old swap au from two years ago. The triplets are swap with Webby May and June, Della is swap with Scrooge, Donald is swap with Beakley, and Daisy is just Daisy. Although I won't show the adults in this post cause I'm still working on their designs.

In this one Webby is now thr biological daughter of Scrooge although I'm not sure if I'm gonna change that or not. She's now the brains of the group. Often takes charge and is a huge nerd. A part of the junior woodchuck alongside her sisters. Because she is no longer a clone her name is April here to match with her sisters' name.

She honest doesn't change much in this au because she was always really smart. Just in here she never goes into spy training. And isn't socially awkward. Although she still is very excitable and definitely takes up a lot more responsibilities as she now grows up with two younger sisters.

I quickly had a design for May but the thing I struggle was that since she is swap with Dewey she is now the guts of the group. So then I was trying to figure out her characteristics here while still trying to keep her as May. I already had April and June figured out but May I did have some difficulties with. And I still unsure with.

But I was thinking what makes Dewey the guts of the group? Obviously, it's his bravery, actions before thinking mindset, and impulsiveness. So then how could I transform that to May without her just being a second Dewey. Bc that's the difficulty of making this au. I don't want it to be a carbon and paste just with the characters swapping.

I want them to still be themselves just with their talents swap? I hope I'm making sense.

Also May and June don't have any actual personality in the show, I mean if you look hard enough you will be able to see what differentiate them from each other. But there still isn't enough to go off by besides fully analyzing the episode and vibes alone.

I'm not sure if maybe instead I should have her a reserve character who is the guts of the group not because she is really brave but because she grows to be brave? Or someone who doesn't care about the danger if it helps her write the next scene for her book or find the next landscape to draw/paint. Idk yet I'm still working on her character.

I originally just had June with a shirt and short but it looked a bit too basic compared to her sisters so I changed it a little. Making her shirt into an oversize sweater. And leggings underneath her shorts. I struggled way less with June compared to May. Because I already had this idea that with her being the charmer of the group. She would definitely use that charm for good and help convince many people into putting their money into charities.

Just like Louie she won't be a bug fan of adventures not finding how she fits in into this. Not being an action type of girl and would rather volunteer at the animal shelter.

Huey goes by Huey Vanderquack here. I didn't change much of his design. I just gave him the blue vest Webby wears. Donald is a spy in this au, so he finds Huey whole trying to stop fowl and takes him in as his own. Claiming he's his uncle and that his mom, Bella, is his cousin. A nod to how Della in the short film was Donald's cousin instead of sister, and her name was Dumbella.

Anyways, here Donald would teach Huey self-defense and instead of being Della's son, he's her clone. He is more socially awkward here as he takes Webby's fate of being in the manor his whole life without any contact with kids his age.

He is the fist of the group and is still obsessed with the jwg. He is the Webby to May's Dewey. And helps her find out what happened to her dad.

He is also overwhelmed easily, only because Huey is somebody who struggles with change and meeting three kids and his whole life now changing would definitely be a huge change for him, a good change, but still a lot to take in and adapt to.

Miscellanious DuckTales (2017) Headcanons!

Louie hatched last because he was too small when he was born. It took a lot of strength for him to be able to break out of the egg shell and by the time he did, he was completely exhauted. He wasn't breathing shortly afterwards either. The doctors were eventually able to get him to start breathing, but he had to spend some time in the neonatal intensive care unit afterwards.

Webby is VERY sensitive to caffeine and cannot have anything with caffeine in it as a result.

June gets very nervous in social situations. They often leave her feeling completely drained. During social interactions, June can often be awkward or even rude without intending to be. She now believes that she just wasn't meant to have any friends and has started isolating herself as a result.

Mrs. Beakley wants to have Webby evaluated for Autism, but the wait list is very long. She's been on it for a little over a year now.

Della is in therapy but only because she lost an argument with Donald. Donald wanted Della to go to therapy so she could address her trauma from being on the moon. It clearly is still affecting her and Donald was very concerned. Della, however, insisted that she was "just fine" and refused to go. Scrooge eventually got involved just because he wanted to make them stop fighting. He decided to flip a coin and whoever won the coin toss won the argument. Della called heads and Donald called tails. Della was certain she would win because although her luck isn't the best, Donald's is worse. There was no way he'd win! Scooge flipped the coin and the twins waitied with baited breath. The coin landed on tails. Della was put on a waiting list to see a trauma therapist the next day, cementing her defeat. Donald has never let her live it down.

Lena has a large number of memories that her brain has repressed due to trauma. Most of her life prior to arriving in DuckBurg is a blur to her. Due to her living situation and the horrible way Magica treated her, Lena's brain was stuck in survival mode and didn't correctly process many of her memories, hence them being in some sort of limbo.

Whenever Donald gets a scam call, he picks up the phone and starts singing. They always hang up immediately.

Huey, B.O.Y.D. and Violet collect old phones from the 2000s and early 2010s. They like to make YouTube videos reviewing the old devices.

Dewey doesn't need much sleep to function. He has been known to survive an entire day on just four hours of sleep. He never complains of exhaustion or looks even remotely sleepy either.

Huey likes to read until he falls asleep.

Violet is a musician. She plays multiple instruments and knows a bit about singing.

May is a total perfectionist. She has very high standards that she expects herself to live up to. For example, May enjoys writing music, but if her songs aren't one-hundered percent perfect, she completely discards them.

SpongeTales?!

I've noticed some similarities between SB characters and DT characters over time, and the more I thought about it, the more amusing things I found.

I thought my findings were post-worthy, so, considering character iterations inside and outside the reboot, here's what I realized. 

Let's start off with a really obvious one:

Scrooge = Mr. Krabs 

Their main colors are red, blue and black

They both grew up poor

They're both well-known businessmen who love money, and have enough to swim around in it

Both of them can be described as cheapskates

Both of them see their first dimes as very special items

Both of them are older men

They both speak with a European accent

They both have a fatherly element to their characters 

I think it's VERY likely that Scrooge served as the inspiration behind Mr. Krabs. He may even be an intended parody of him. 

Heh, when I read through Issue #16 of SpongeBob Comics, I thought the Krabs family member "Uncle Alan" was homage to Alan Young, the original DuckTales voice actor for Scrooge (I mean, it was all about finding a treasure), but it turns out that it was more than likely in refence to the adventurous character, "Allan Quatermain". It matches up with his full name "Alan Quaterkrab". Oh well, there's still a lot here.

The next comparison is pretty easy:

Donald = Squidward

They both have a constant struggle with bad luck

They are both known for being grumpy or short-tempered

They're both often made the voice of reason in their groups

They both have a desire to be cool and respected

They both have a gloating rival who is favored over them

They often getting roped into whatever the businessman is doing

They're both considered second in command

They're both often depicted with just a hat and shirt

This one might not be too obvious:

Launchpad = SpongeBob

Most would be very quick to compare him to Patrick, but I think he matches SpongeBob more.

They're both extremely loyal to their cheap bosses

They're both occasionally fired by their bosses only to be rehired later on

They both have issues with acquiring their license or learning to drive certain vehicles

They both tend to crash vehicles

They're both generally positive and child-like

They're often described by others as annoying and incompetent

They can also be described as dim-witted

They both regularly wear a tie, a belt and black footwear

They're both very in-tune with the water 

They both have a tremendous appreciation for pop-culture heroes

They also have been given the roles of heroes

Both of them have had their jobs threatened over being replaced with a robot

They both have been depicted with red hair (or would that be brown, in SpongeBob's case?...isn't red hair just a really intense light brown?)

This one was a direct reference to the other:

Mr. Krabs' Nephews = Huey, Dewey & Louie

They're both identical male triplets with a relation to a wealthy businessman

Both sets have similar voices with a particular way of speaking together

They both often solve mysteries

Here's another set that could also be compared to HDL, but fit a bit closer to another group:

Sandy's Nieces = April, May, & June

They're both female trios with identical sisters

We often see them in the care of the aunt

Both groups are color coded with a yellow member

I would also say they have a particular way of speaking, since they're meant to mirror HDL, but I actually don't know if AMJ do this. 😅

Breaking down this trio to focus on one:

Webby = Pearl

They're both adopted members of wealthy family

There is also a...daughter element to their characters

They both wear pink articles of clothing

Might even be safe to say both of their favorite color is pink

They both have an appreciation for plush toys

This one's a lil' tricky:

Gyro = Plankton?

They both scientific inventors who are very focused on their work

They both have a main robotic companion

Their inventions tend to do evil or antagonistic things

They've both assembled an usual army

They both have Southern heritage

What makes this one more uncertain is that Gyro is his affiliation. He doesn't intend to be evil at all. He's very much in favor of his boss and wouldn't try to harm him or the family on purpose.

Because of this, he could also be compared to Sandy, but I think another character matches her better.

They're both female characters who have a fraternal twin brother

They're both extreme thrill-seekers who are always up for a challenge

They both tend to be reckless and get carried away

They can both be described as stubborn

They both have piloted rocketships and have traveled to Space; specifically the Moon

They've both lived outside of their natural environment for many years

They've both traveled a long way from home and it's very likely that both of them had a good reason for it

They both have an interest in robotics

They both have a Scottish relative

They both have helped other characters with flying a plane

They both may have had an encounter with a portal to an alternate dimension

On to the next:

Mrs. Beakley = Mrs. Puff

They both have a mysterious element to their identities

They are both generally "no nonsense" characters

While they do tend to be on the more serious side, they do know how to relax and have fun

The "Mrs." in both of their names indicates or seems to imply that they've been married, but both of their husbands are missing

Now here's a more better fit for an earlier one:

Flintheart = Plankton

They're both rivals to a businessman they're trying to emulate

They both met their rivals when they were younger

They used to have a good or neutral affiliation, until their businessman rival did something to make them change

They're both full of evil schemes

They're both always outwitted by the rivalling business 

They're VERY determined to accomplish their goals

They occasionally team up with good guys 

They both once led a family effort to attack their rival

Green

This one also works pretty well too:

Magical = Plankton

They're both rivals to a businessman

They're both full of evil schemes

They're both always outwitted by the rivalling business 

They're VERY determined to accomplish their goals

They're both constantly after an important item that will make them powerful 

They both often deal with very dangerous elements

They both once led a group effort to attack their rival

Bonus Section!

Out of all of these, I think the strongest connection SB and DT have with each other is that both SpongeBob and Patrick's voice actors had characters in the second season of the show!

Yellow was always one of Fethry's colors but the fact that he appears with a sponge!! I love that. 😂💛

The Ghost of Christmas Past is even depicted as a pink character who wears green clothes!

And as I was typing this, I remembered that Clancy Brown played Frankenstein in "Trickening!" Ha!

There are probably even MORE connections and coincidences out there waiting to be found!

I love the idea of max's family being just so crazy Big is so funny and endearing to me, like, imagine max babysitting all the Bunny children asdasd(tho his closest cousins are huey Dewey and Louie)

there are characters that i didnt put there cuz they are not as close to family members to max as this ones are(pete is just an occasional friend) or just not official family members like Gilbert goof or mama goof(this are the found family members)

Listen, I think the finale was AMAZING because of the April, May and June switcharoo where they were replaced by Webby on the 1987's show, but mashed into one on the reboot by then having Daisy adopt May and June.

But it'd have been even better if Daisy was one of Beakley's daughters so that Webby (April) stayed Beakley's granddaughter AND Daisy's niece, thus making May and June her nieces too at the end!! and everything comes together!!! theyy should've let me write the show

Model Sheets of Donald Duck and characters from Donald Duck universe (Duckverse)

Now, starting in 2024, I will post model sheets of various characters from the Duckverse that are my favorites from comics and cartoons, from the first appearance of Donald Duck to the present day. Mostly sketches from official Disney artists, mostly from Walt Disney, Mary Blair, Al Taliaferro, Carl Barks, Romano Scarpa, Fabrizio Di Nicola, Toby Shelton, Bob McKnight and others. Mostly from classic shorts, comics, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck and The Legend of The Three Caballeros. Feel free to like and reblog and use these models in a smart way. This is how classic styles and classic beaks should be used.

The Duck Family Tree according to DuckTales 2017!

Some notes:

The characters with gray names (HDL's dad, Daphne Duck, Goosetave Gander, Eider Duck, Lulubelle Loon, Humperdink Duck, and Gertrude Gadwall) aren't 100% confirmed to exist in the canon of DT17, but can be inferred to for various reasons.

The images of the ones I just mentioned plus Pothole McDuck, Silas McDuck, Sir "Black" Donald McDuck, Sir Puft McDuck, Malcolm "Matey" McDuck, and Sir Quackly McDuck aren't from DT17, these characters were never shown physically in the show but I still wanted there to be something to look at.

Grandma Duck is only mentioned in the comics, which didn't have involvement from the creators of the show, but I decided to include her anyway because they said the comics only aren't canon in cases where they contradict the show.

The McDuck ancestors (aka the ones under Scrooge's grandparents) are in order from left to right acccording to the "Solving Mysteries and Rewriting History!" book. The only exception is Countess Agnes McDuck since we have no information of when she was alive, so I made the choice to place her between Eider and Quackly considering her Countess title, how she doesn't seem to know Murdoch and Agnes in the episode she appears, and how Eider appears to be the oldest recorded McDuck.

I accidentally mistyped Dewey's name, it should be "Dewford" instead of "Dewbert."

Happy Birthday Donald, Daisy and Della Duck! - Happy Father's Day! - Donald with his nephews and his family - Quack Pack Week - Duckverse in June - My style and my version - Ducktales, Duck comics, Quack Pack and Duckverse - Happy 85th Birthday Daisy Duck! - Quack Pack AU

Sorry I'm already a week late, I had some problems, but I managed to finish it as I usually do. And I drew it related to the topics that cover two organizational weeks. On June 7, 1940, Donald’s classic short “Mr Duck Steps Out” was shown, featuring Daisy Duck for the first time. 9/6/1934 The Classic Short “The Wise Little Hen” was shown and Donald Duck appeared there for the first time. Donald Duck will become one of the main stars of not only Disney, but also cartoon films, comics and video games at all. Certainly there is no need to tell his history. And since Della, Donald’s twin, was born on the same day as Donald, then happy birthday to her too, in addition to Donald and Daisy. Happy birthday Donald, Daisy and Della Duck!

This time I drew them in Quack Pack style, or rather in Quack Pack AU (my version) celebrating their birthdays together, since their days coincide, plus Donald's birthday is also Friday the 13th, which happened this year, so another reason to celebrate! Plus of course Father's Day, which is celebrated every third Sunday in June. What makes me love Quack Pack is definitely the relationships between Unca Donald and his teenage nephews. Even though they had problems with each other, they looked out for each other and understood each other and had fun together. Especially the episodes "Ducky Dearest", "Phoniest Home Videos" and "Noisy Neighbors". And maybe the only animation that showed that besides the scenes in Ducktales and Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas. So it's not worth celebrating Donald's birthday without his nephews. In addition to Donald, Daisy and Della Duck, there are of course Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, Phooey Duck, Daisy's nieces April, May and June Duck, Webby Vanderquack, Scrooge McDuck, Gyro Gearloose and his nephew Newton Gearloose (plus Little Helper), Fethry Duck and his nephew Dugan Duck. Combined from the Duck comics, OG Ducktales and Quack Pack creating versions of them in their own ways. In addition to Donald being a protector for his nephews and Daisy being a protector for her nieces, there are also other parents, such as Della Duck who is the mother of Huey, Dewey, Louie and Phooey, Gyro who is Uncle Newton, Fethry who is Uncle Dugan and Scrooge who is uncle to his adopted granddaughter-niece Webby. And they all enjoy three birthdays plus Father's Day together eating cherries and strawberry shortcake. My only apology is that it turned out like this, I had some troubles these days, so it turned out like this. Sorry! And sorry for the delay!

This the closest we have to Modern Disney acknowledging Della on Donald's birthday, and anything reboot related that (outwardly?) acknowledges Dad's existence. 

I highly doubt this means anything outside of the social media admin(s) just putting content together, but wow, that was unexpected...it's also funny, because I think having Donald and Daisy in a different style is something that a lot of people would have wanted to see an updated change to. 😂 I understand they did it to promote the Mickey preschool shows, but...it's still kinda jarring. 😬
