Model Sheets of Donald Duck and characters from Donald Duck universe (Duckverse)

Now, starting in 2024, I will post model sheets of various characters from the Duckverse that are my favorites from comics and cartoons, from the first appearance of Donald Duck to the present day. Mostly sketches from official Disney artists, mostly from Walt Disney, Mary Blair, Al Taliaferro, Carl Barks, Romano Scarpa, Fabrizio Di Nicola, Toby Shelton, Bob McKnight and others. Mostly from classic shorts, comics, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck and The Legend of The Three Caballeros. Feel free to like and reblog and use these models in a smart way. This is how classic styles and classic beaks should be used.

The Duck Family Tree according to DuckTales 2017!

Some notes:

The characters with gray names (HDL's dad, Daphne Duck, Goosetave Gander, Eider Duck, Lulubelle Loon, Humperdink Duck, and Gertrude Gadwall) aren't 100% confirmed to exist in the canon of DT17, but can be inferred to for various reasons.

The images of the ones I just mentioned plus Pothole McDuck, Silas McDuck, Sir "Black" Donald McDuck, Sir Puft McDuck, Malcolm "Matey" McDuck, and Sir Quackly McDuck aren't from DT17, these characters were never shown physically in the show but I still wanted there to be something to look at.

Grandma Duck is only mentioned in the comics, which didn't have involvement from the creators of the show, but I decided to include her anyway because they said the comics only aren't canon in cases where they contradict the show.

The McDuck ancestors (aka the ones under Scrooge's grandparents) are in order from left to right acccording to the "Solving Mysteries and Rewriting History!" book. The only exception is Countess Agnes McDuck since we have no information of when she was alive, so I made the choice to place her between Eider and Quackly considering her Countess title, how she doesn't seem to know Murdoch and Agnes in the episode she appears, and how Eider appears to be the oldest recorded McDuck.

I accidentally mistyped Dewey's name, it should be "Dewford" instead of "Dewbert."

Happy 90th Birthday Donald Duck! - Donald Duck and his family and friends - Tribute to Don Rosa (Happy belated birthday to Don Rosa) - The Duck Who Never Was - My redraw - Duck comics - Duckverse

I know it's past Donald's birthday, but I don't care, because this year is a whole year dedicated to him, because this year the most popular duck is celebrating his 90th birthday this year. So if someone tells me why I'm dedicating his birthday to him now, even though it's passed, please shut up, this is definitely dedicated to the best duck in the world and I have the right to draw related to him. By the way, I drew tributes related to his birthday before, so check out my previous drawings.

By the way, even though his birthday passed a month ago, I definitely wanted to dedicate this drawing to one of my favorite comic artists and writers, Don Rosa, who celebrates his birthday on June 29th because he was born on that date in 1951. Don Rosa wrote and drew comics mostly related to Scrooge McDuck, but also dedicated something related to Donald Duck. A special comic is "The Duck Who Never Was" from June 9, 1994, which is dedicated to the 60th birthday of Donald Duck, where Donald thinks that everyone has forgotten about his birthday, so he miraculously went to another universe where he does not exist and it can be said that it doesn't work at all without it. In the end, Donald returns to his world and is surprised that his beloved family and friends threw him a great birthday party. It's one of my favorite Don Rosa comics.

Yes, I drew as a redraw those final scenes from that comic, so I drew it in my own way, and I apologize to Don Rosa, since I added some characters, and also did some of my own version of characters from the Duckverse. Daisy kisses her Donald, and besides them there are also Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Daisy's nieces April, May and June Duck (Dutch version), Donald's uncle Scrooge McDuck, Donald's grandmother Grandma Duck (Elvira Coot), Donald's cousins ​​Gladstone Gander, Gus Goose, Fethry Duck, Donald's best friends Gyro Gearloose, Little Helper, Jose Carioca (José Zé Carioca) and Panchito Pistoles. Yes, added Fethry and the two caballeros because they somehow don't make a real Donald family without them in my opinion. And instead of the 60th birthday, I added Donald Duck's 90th birthday on the banner held by Donald's nephews and Daisy's nieces. Yes, and the 30th anniversary of this comic. Monster Sibs Au revamped!

My AU where there was a curse that the next generation of McDuck/Ducks are cursed to be monsters. May and June were made at the same time as Webby. All kids grow up together in the manor, which makes Huey super shy, Dewey super inept at reading situations and Louie more socially awkward.

Each of the kiddos powers:

Huey Duck = Healing/Fire

Dewey Duck = Super Speed/Water

Louie Duck = Illusions/Rocks/Gems

Webby McDuck = Invisibility/Light

Debby(May) McDuck = Telekinesis/Lightning

Beby(June) McDuck = Super Strength/Ice

Also larger wings are for lazy gliding, smaller wings are for speed, medium wings are a bit of both

DuckTales: Smart, Tough, Sharp and...?

Yes, I know that when DuckTales '17 was planned, Webby (April McDuck) Vanderquack was planned to be the 'fair and square' out of Scrooge McDuck...but now that her identity as a clone and her sisters are out there, what does this make them?

Alternatively, what I believe had a fourth season been planned, while the male triplets have Scrooge's famous qualities (smart, tough and sharp), the female triplets could have different and/or more extreme angles on said qualities:

While Huey has Scrooge's intellect, Webby has his curiosity, which has been known to lead him into dangerous situations.

While Dewey has Scrooge's bravery, May has his seriousness, which has been known to shape the adventure capitalist into a miser.

While Louie has Scrooge's sharpness, June has his ability to manipulate, which has been known to stifle his relationships, for example, the Ghost of Christmas Past.

What does this mean? I don't know, but it makes sense why you see Huey with Webby a lot. Perhaps in S4 we could have gotten Dewey/May and Louie/June Episodes...and even one where they must work together to balance their flaws!

Unpopular opinion, but I kind of wish Disney would focus a little more on other characters from the classic Disney universe (Mouseverse, Duckverse, Dogverse) and not just the Sensational Six characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy) plus Chip and Dale and Pete. By this I mean Scrooge, Horace, Clarabelle, Oswald, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Gyro, Ludwig, Grandma Duck, Fethry, Gus, Gladstone, Ortensia, Mad Doctor, Beagle Boys, Magica, Glomgold, Rockerduck, Sylvester Shyster, Phantom Blot, Darkwing Duck, Jose Carioca, Panchito Pistoles, Aracuan Bird, April, May and June, Gosalyn, Morty and Ferdie Fieldmouse, Chief O'Hara, Detective Casey, Scuttle, Mortimer, Figaro the Cat, Max Goof, Neighbor Jones, Brigitta MacBridge and others characters.

By this I mean with regards to the latest Disney animation shows "A Whole New Sound", Hot Ones and these What If Marvel comics. Like you can't make superheroes and super villains out of these characters I mentioned?! Scrooge as Professor X, Glomgold as Magneto or Magica as Red Widow? It seems to me that Disney (I mean the American official one, not the European one for sure) ignores these characters and thinks they don't exist. Really disappointing in my opinion.
