As much as Belle loves the stories told on the holocrons in the Jedi Archive she helps guard, what she really wants is a real Jedi adventure as told in the legends she knows so well. Her chance comes from a distress signal on a remote planet in the Outer Rim. Thankfully, she makes a droid friend, CHIP2-D2, who explains that the inhabitants of this planet are cursed…

Another redraw of an older piece! Jedi Belle and CHIP2-D2 were originally drawn back in 2015. Belle has always been the hardest Disney Princess for me to draw, so I took an extra long time studying model sheets and screenshots so I could get her just right. With the updated version, I wanted to add more embellishments to both Belle and Chip and include references to the movie with the rose and stained glass. I’m quite happy with the final result, but I must admit that I was getting tired of looking at this piece for so long 😅

okay so you know how there are certain episodes in tcw that you just don't watch because you know what they're abt and they don't interest you? Like most things Jar Jar centric or droid centric?

I was watching Mercy Mission (for Commander Wolffe and him alone) and then I was just skipping through the next episode only to find R2 and 3PO stranded on a planet with the like,,, tiny race of natives.

Now I have been watching this show since I was a kid and eventually started skipping over episodes, but I swear, up until this very moment I thought this episode was a fever dream

Luke: oh no, actually most of my scenes with R2-D2 are unscripted!

*off camera shocked laugh* w-what?

Luke: you see, at first they didn't really know what kind of personality they wanted to give him-

*off camera snorts*

Luke: Really!

Luke: Anyway so they just kind of put me on set with the, puppet, well not really, it was just kind of a painted trash bin that they could rotate the head of,

*snort*

Luke: And I was supposed to act as if I was talking to it, so I, so I kind of just pretended i was talking to my cat

*off screen* you have a cat

Luke: Yeah, yeah I do, he's this, not senile, but very mean and crotchety, old, and i mean really old, half-dead cat I inherited from my mother

*more off screen laughs*

Luke: Yeah! I honestly don't know how he's still alive

*muffled, off screen* spite?

Luke: Ohhhh yeah, definitely spite

Luke: I'm pretty sure he's been run over a few times
