Il cimitero di Santa Maria del Pianto ( detto anche cimitero del Pianto) è uno dei cimiteri presenti a Napoli, e si trova in via nuova del Campo, (quartiere Poggioreale).

All’interno di esso, tra gli altri, si trovano le tombe di personaggi illustrissimi quali: il primo Presidente della Repubblica Italiana Enrico De Nicola, il famoso tenore Enrico Caruso, Raffaele Viviani, il grande commediografo Eduardo Scarpetta e gli eterni Nino Taranto e Totò.

Totó, in particolare, continua a ricevere, sulla sua tomba lettere dei suoi infiniti ammiratori da ogni parte d'Italia che intestano così le missive al defunto: "Al Principe Antonio De Curtis, Cimitero del Pianto, Napoli". Le lettere sono lasciate sul sepolcro in marmo bianco recante il suo inconfondibile profilo in altorilievo.

Andrew “Starsie” Caruso 

(Formally Anastasia Caruso) (yes he is trans) Starsie started life out fairly privileged, he lived with his mother and father in a Manhattan apartment as a young child. When he was young he knew a boy from down the street, his name was Antonio. Antonio and Andrew looked almost identical if you ignored the fact that one was a girl and one was a boy. When his father her mother decided she wanted to be a vaudeville star. She moved Andrew all the way to Chicago to pursue her career. 

Starsie’s mother was eventually killed. Caught up in some scandal stealing another woman’s act and shot - twice through the chest - Starsie was 11. Some men from the theatre his mother worked at asked if he wanted to come home with them. He knew better than to trust them. So he hopped the back of a carriage that carried him to Virginia.

He stayed there for 4 years living with an old woman who adopted him. He called her “Granny.” Eventually Granny passed away of old age. Devastated, Starsie ran. As fast and as far as he could. He slumped in a ditch on the side of the highway. After a few days of laying there in his greif he managed to hitch hike back to New York with a young couple who were coming from Missouri. 

Coming back to NYC was a fresh start. Anastasia became Andrew and the streets of Brooklyn became his new home. Two years passed and he was eventually adopted into Spot Conlon’s gang, after proving his worth in a brutal scrap with one of the older boys. 

Andrew was nicknamed Starsie after his late mother’s vaudeville “star” career, and things started to look up. Until the strike happened and he found out that his childhood friend Antonio (now Racetrack) was dating Spot. But even that ended fine. He just poked fun at them both.  

He’s extremely kind to all the other Newsies. The loss and pain he has experienced is so much for such a young kid to process. He turns to Humor (woah projecting whaaaat) to cope. He’s really touchy and likes hugs a lot, he’s one of the only people allowed to hug Spot. He’s a huge drama queen, taking after his mother, and will absolutely annoy the other Brookies by singing old jazz songs REALLY loudly. He likes to drink and play cards, often hanging around Sheepshead with Race and Spot to smoke and have a laugh before dinner.

I like Showbiz the best tbh but I had already written this with “Starsie” lmao. Anyways have a cookie 🍪

While Dulce was on the hunt for the notebook, Antonio got acquainted with Cosi! He's more of a cat person, but he loves all kinds of animals. He would help Dulce, but that would be an invasion of privacy, no? You know what's definitely okay, though? Taking out the trash from the trash bin that is not even halfway full yet.
