One time as I was scrolling threw TikTok A person was like crying about how they fear of wukong and macaque being brothers (despite in canon they share the same dna) shadowpeach fans literally said how they would make a fucking au where they weren’t brothers or hell they would still fucking ship them EVEN IF IT WAS CONFRIMED DESPITE IT IS BEING CONFIRMED

to the person wondering why spicynoodles isnt considered proship: its because its not really based in morality, its an overblown ship war. the terms proship and anti, and the correlating opinions, originated in the voltron fandom in roughly 2016 or 2017 when the fandom was feuding over two popular ships (klance and sheith). klance shippers made up reasons why sheith was 'immoral' to ship so that klance could remain the most popular ship. if you take a look at lmk fandom dynamics, the main popular ships are shadowpeach and spicynoodles, and anything that "gets in the way" of them is made out to be problematic; even ships like goldendragon (mk and mei) that would logically be considered less problematic (less age gap than spicynoodles). so i repeat, its not actually about morality. never was, never will be. its just a huge ship war. my advice is to not take it seriously when people claim a ship is problematic. just roll your eyes and move on. the real dynamic at play is that spicynoodles is popular and many of the other ships in question are not.

In sv rip off, can any of Sun Wukong's admirers from the original pay attention to Macaque? Or will his harem be filled with villains only? And also, how do pilgrims feel about the Macaque? And will they ever meet him or will they only know about him from Wukong's stories?

Well Macaque's harem is technically filled with villains but I'm sure there's a good guy there somewhere I think. But ultimately I think it's just funnier that Sun Wukong's love interests are either pro-shadowpeach or anti-shadowpeach

As for the pilgrims, I do plan to have at least Tripataka meet Macaque but that's far in the future for me to tell you what really happens so you'll have to find out soon!

Long Xiaojiao and Qi Xiaotian are the hero and warrior respectively

Sun Wukong is now feared alongside being seen as a hero by some of the public (anti-hero, people are very much scared of him)

Macaque and Wukong are very much willing to let the other die in the beginning of the AU

DBK was never imprisoned and thus he never attacked the city — Red Son takes his place in this AU

PIF and DBK divorce (but eventually get back together)

Lady Bone Demon doesn't keep her host for Season 3

Nezha is a regular at Pigsy's Noodles (glamoured)

Macaque's Debut episode is a lot more tense than the original one (Wukong doesn't even talk to him, just asks Xiaotian if he's alright)

and the samadhi fire plot is changed an itty bitty bit because we get the gang going to find Ao Lie at some point :D

Asks are getting kinda long so. Mostly, I wonder why Reddit is so ticked off at Mac lmao. Everywhere I go, it's either insane villain apologism by making the hero pathetic and wrong, or extreme villain antagonism by overblowing consequences. Bud got dragged out of hell after centuries, got a super snack out of MK's powers, vented in a theatre before a trauma flashback of MK coming to whoop his butt reminded him of SWK and couldn't even skedaddle before Not-Mayor forced him into a symmetrical wardrobe, I mean. an unwilling henchminion arc, and proceeded to get his butt whooped by the gang who love to target his trauma eye and get looney tunes whumped by electrocution in a giant lantern, tossed over a ship, and my little pony friendship is magic style song blasted in his ears. and whatever hell portal Not-Mayor dunked his head in while chained up, a few times over. he was about to throw up with that face he made when LBD semi-possessed him. I think that's enough consequences, he already got The Talk(tm) tied up again w MK, (a compliant hostage) and mostly keeps vagueing warnings to the squad, being very idgaf about LBD. Not much villain behavior compared to others I've seen. He's not even an anti-villain, he's just a self-driven traumatized survivor who vents to people in ambiguous closed off ways and tends to cross over into jerk territory. So I'm here like, are half of tumblr/reddit posts out-dated, bc if someone isn't salty about S1 Mac (rare) they are TICKED about past!Mac (frequent) to which I ask, what did bro DO. I have never seen fandom run on such hypothetical anger before. ShadowPeach just got more tragic. its too bad tho, I would've loved a story of accidentally killing your best friend and realizing after instead of another oh no it was this other villain behind it. but alright. it makes too much sense tho based on SWK's reactions.

If you were to ship Morro with anyone from the LMK universe, who would it be?

Idk shipping for this au, especially when the ages are so wonky? Kinda?? As a whole for this, I am trying to keep it as close to canon as I can (I say that loosely), however I’m 100% putting in FreeNoodles and Shadowpeach. Because obviously. They’re both so extremely gay.

Anyways. This here list isn’t of ship names, it’s just the designations for characters who interact together and have a dynamic.

I feel weird doing any kind of shipping at all in this au for Morro anyways, since I’m trying to focus more on him as a character and developing that rather than…romance stuff. And I don’t wanna base character development solely on a relationship/have to make up a character for the sole reason of them being a love interest for Morro.

Clarification: I don’t want to create a whole new character who’s only reason for existing is to fill the role of “love interest”.

· Cass is 16 and MK is 19 when he first finds Monkey King’s staff

· She was there with him when he got it, so she knows he’s not lying

· After season 3 MK and Cass are no longer human

· They’re both Demi-Demons not yet fully demons

· They have pointier ears, fangs, and are stronger and more durable than regular humans

· It takes them a while to notice

· Mei is a dragon. By the time season 3 is over has patches of scales and pointier ears. She’s always had fangs. When she feels strong negative emotions, her eyes becomes more dragon like.

· They all don’t notice until Tang points it out. They celebrate this by going out to the anti-grav arcade and eating whatever junk food they find.

· They drag Red Son along

· He pretends to hate it

· The four are all really good friends and they cause trouble a lot for fun.

· They’re a terrifying group but they all love and care about each other deeply. God forbid you try hurting one of them

hmmmm ngl i’m not that great at listing my headcanons 👉👈 i simply tend to just let them unfold in my writing but let’s say shadowpeach in their nemesis era….

Macky would take (and had taken) every mention of Wukong to complain and shit-talk on the guy. this is less of a headcanon and more of an observation, but keeping that in mind, i like to think that because of Macky’s knee-jerk reaction to always spew the most venomous and harsh comments pertaining to Wukong, it has allowed for Macky’s own memories of Wukong to be distorted and negatively biased. for example: the shadowplay™️ :)

it definitely holds truth to it and shows Macky’s side of the story…..however, it is such a skewed perspective and blantantly anti-Wukong propaganda, which goes to show how much Macky spends his time stewing in his bitterness and anger

anyway, add pining to that and you get a hot fucking mess lmao

his mind’s little preoccupied to really focus on the fact that his old flame not only wants to kill him and MK but also might be someone he still never moved on from. also there’s no Tripitaka or Zhu Baije or Ao Lie to call him out on it (MK and Pigsy are the closest who could but Pigsy’s a little busy being suspicious and critical of Wukong’s mentoring methods with MK and MK is a little busy protecting the city & learning new moves & ignoring all his problems to call Wukong out with this particular issue)

though, could we really call it pining if Wukong just finds enjoyment in teasing his old friend now turned enemy from time to time? so what if Wukong enjoys ruling up Macky whenever he comes on to the scene in the name of LBD??? it’s just some harmless flirting teasing! it’s not like Wukong enjoys seeing Mac get all flustered or enjoys having someone to fight against that’s actually a challenge and for fun (not like fun fun, obvi, bc MK and the team are on a mission that Macky cannot find out about but 👀)

something I don't understand is why do people hate the Sun wukong x Mk but deem the redson x mk as okay when redson is also way older than mk but a 100 years most likely I don't ship peachynooldes I just don't get the hate for it when it's the same as redson x mk also mk x wukong wouldn't be proship since Mk is around 18 or 20 for something to proship one would have to be a minor this is in china so mk is around the adult range again I don't ship it I just don't get the excessive hate for it over the fact that it's the same we know redson is also way older because of the flashback with sun wukong's old friends ancestors. I personally see wukong as mk's dad though so that's just my thoughts the only good ship is mk x therapy and freenoodles.
