Concept art for the Eleventh Fleet - Mitt'raw'nuruodo.

Hands got to the rendering of Mitt'raw'nuruodo's sketches. It was unusual to draw him without the Grand Admiral’s signature hairstyle, but I really wanted to make a strong contrast between his life “before” and “after” starting his service in the navy. Life on his home planet certainly wasn't easy.

+ some parallel with Ezra and his fate.

…And I still think the idea of ​​making Thrawn's kintsugi-style form during his exile is my best idea :3 After red eyeliner on Karyn's eyes, of course.

I fucked up. Thought too hard about what the Papas might’ve pursued if they hadn’t become entangled with the Satanic Church. Besides the very real likelihood that they may not’ve even existed, I mean.

And I thought about how Terzo probably would’ve gone on to make movies. His style is not for everyone, but he has visions he wants to bring to reality because he believes beauty, in its many forms, should exist in this world. Inspiration comes in many bizarre and meaningful forms, and who is he to deny someone story of imagery that might catapult them into what they were made to pursue, the same way watching Metropolis way too young made him discover filmmaking? He’s known for putting up fights with executives and whatnot because he hates having to compromise more than what should be while still maintaining his original vision. Film students love him and he’s active on social media and answers questions and whatnot.

The industry calls him “difficult to work with” — and while those who’ve worked with him admit he tends to be very deadset on his ideas, they all agree: Working with Terzo is amazing because he’s still quite kind and respectful and will go to bat for them if executives or producers try and come in and switch them out with bigger names.

He’s known as the Dark Angel of the film industry.

it actually is a little bit of that too!

i think a great part of orion's character arc in this au would be about him learning that him being a prime since birth doesn't make him especially fit to lead and it shouldn't have to. he can learn to be a good leader and he has the potential to be a great one, but it's not an inherent talent he gets just because it's his birthright.

and i think in this au orion would struggle a lot more with being a leader than he does in canon because here it's something that it's being imposed on him rather than something he chooses. here the high guard is actively looking at him for direction and for him to take the lead now that he's back with them, when he's barely coping with the truth of who he is and the grief of everything he lost.

and he tries because he feels like he has to accept the responsibility he's being given, he feels like he has to step into the role the high guard wants him to, he feels like he has to live up to the expectations people have of him.

if being a prime made him especial enough to be "different" than the others around him, then surely it made him capable enough to be the leader the high guard wants him to be, right?

no. it really did not.

i think his first attempt at leading (which would probably be the raid at the high guard hideout? still thinking about it) is absolutely terrible. it ends up a mighty disaster that has people reeling because no one expected him to fail so miserably.

this is at once the first crack in the high guard's devotion to their last prime, the first blow to orion's belief that being a prime makes him inherently better than others and the first step for him to learn how to actually be someone worth following.

he has to learn that even if he's a prime he's still. just a guy. and that's okay. he'll have to put in the work to be better but he's also not an irremediable failure for not being perfect right out of the gate.

obviously Jamie not being in season 4 would suck mostly because I simply want Jamie to be there and to get more of his story and get to enjoy more interactions between Jamie and the other characters. At the end of the day though, I can just not watch s4, which I'm perfectly okay with.

what sucks EVEN MORE to me, and is far harder to avoid, is that not having Jamie in the show totally changes the *canon* of the character in a way that will inevitably bleed over into fan spaces, regardless of whether or not I'm actively watching. However they write him out (I assume it would just be having him go to another team) becomes the new "Jamie Tartt canon." And that small thing totally changes his story and we don't even get to see it play out! When i was perfectly happy playing in my sandbox of a million equally valid possibilities.

As an artist and/or writer, what is one thing you think you do well? What is one thing you would like to improve on?

Um, hm…as for what I do well…maybeee emotion? Maybe? I really like messing around with how I present how a character is feeling both in art and writing, so I’m hoping that comes across well.

Some things I would like to improve on is probably consistency, keeping up with things, and making sure I make things as in character as I can.

lowkey obsessed with the idea of ámbar being so impressed with ana and now actually so self-aware of all the legal issues she might come face-to-face with in the future (since she wants to keep managing the jam & roller and maybe expand it by making it a chain) that she decides that she wants to follow her footsteps and become a lawyer, while nina becomes so popular as felicityfornow that the fab&chic asks her for help (at first with small stuff like captions for their posts and maybe an interview) but after that they decide to "get some free clout out of her" by analysing felicity's style or something similar (since nobody ever saw felicity in the flesh, except for them [kinda] since they interviewed her on a videocall) and people become so obsessed with it that they try to convince felicity to write an become part of the fab&chic (while still doing things that align with her work tho) as a way to collaborate.

Since she doesn't feel like "she's good with fashion or anything adjacent to it" she tries to kindly rejects the idea but they don't give up and it kinda escalate to the point in which she only agrees to get over with it.

The only alteration is that she can and has to decide what she wants to do for this collaboration and they can reject her ideas until they agree on something together but they can't force her to do anything, they agree and she chooses to write an article (i haven't yet decided on what specifically)

Nina does what she does best. Uses the informations she knows through her own lectures, researches and also tries to remember all of jim and yam's and her mother's ramblings about sewing (which is something she's not that bad at, even tho she doesn't actively uses this skill or make any clother, just small repairs when she needs to) and just uses her words to talk about it openly and honestly with her own point of view.

And it fucking works.

It works way too well.

Fab&Chic's fans loves it and keep sharing it, it becomes so viral that she actually has now a small spot on their blog for her articles.

A few months later other media outlets about mode and fashion reach out (both to her and the fab&chic) to ask for an appointment to talk about hypothetical collaboration, send some products for them to try and review or to congratulate her for her "debut" in the fashion world.

1 year and a half/2 years later she's suddently not only a writer and a poet but a rookie fashion editor on the side (at least for her, because it doesn't matter how much she loves and enjoys being a fashion critic, writing in general will always be her first love)
