Sorry about the quality again, I don't like how it sometimes cuts the drawings but I'll settle💔. I've never actually drawn human Alastor till now, but I do like how he turned out so o(≧▽≦)o!

In not gonna do the math about their ages, and I don't think it'd line up w/Canon, but ik Angel died around the 40s near his 20-30s so he'd had lived two decades prior. I'm pretty sure Alastor died around the 20s, not 30s, but that doesn't matter - the point is, Angel would've been a kid before Alastor yknow, died. (Don't take my word for it, I'm probably wrong, but in this lil comic, that's how it is😔) Angel's around 8yrs old and Alastor is somewhere in his late 20s or early 30s (teehee Alastor w dimples🙂!)

Angel playing around with a dead deers head WILL be explained, trust!🙏 I got the idea of domino's bc I think it's a nice game to bond over, also I just like the game and I remember my Dad teaching me how it works so FATHER AND SON MOMENT RISE!💥💥 Anyways, Angel's childhood won't align w Canon (sorry, so ooc, but I like it☹️).

I need to talk about the forgotten practice of mouthing. If you hang out around kids age newborn to 2/4, they often put toys in their mouth, and your adult brain goes "ew yuck". But the practice is part of our genetic code as a member of the animal kingdom.

The lower part of the face, as well as the mouth, has many more nerve endings than other areas of the body.

Why would this area be so sensitive?? You ask. The mouth is the gatekeeper for our future body's existence. It must be able to detect physical things that could harm it and chemicals that could harm it, whether made up of solid objects or airborne particles. It must then pass or veto it in a safe non-harmful manner.

This organ houses three of the five senses, taste, touch, and smell. Children are also limited by their mobility, slowly painstakingly developing the gross motor movement to explore their world via touch. They lift their head, they develop core strength to roll over and sit up, they learn to move about their environment without hurting themselves. Their arms and legs lengthen, their processing and knowledge gained increases. This process really doesn't finish till about two years old, and even then it's still being refined for much longer.

Meanwhile the world is full of crazy shit. Stuff that makes sounds, is colorful, smells, is cold or hot or wet. And your fingers and arms just can't do it justice. Your hands are still curled up and can only open and shut as one motion. Meanwhile your tongue is strong and dexterous enough to handle the complex task of creating suction to breastfeed (or bottlefeed).

Putting a toy to your mouth is like putting on glasses.

We still retain the practice of utilizing this sense via kissing, a practice associated with intimacy (not necessarily romantic - think smelling a fruit). We also have the hardware in our brains to support complex intricate speech that, unless inhibited by circumstances such as Deafness or muteness, is utilized for communication by default.

There are many animals that have a high sense of smell, and also have whiskers. They don't have opposite thumbs designed for using tools. Their mouth is their hands. They lick and sniff and do everything social with them. When they first see a new stimulus, their first reaction to explore it is to put their nose in it.

So next time you see a child or neurodivergent person mouthing something, think of the relationship we have with our mouths. We explore the world through touch with our mouths. They are our secret third hand.

can i just gush about bluey for a moment?

one of my favorite episodes: faceytalk. (spoilers ahead for bluey, if you are that worried just watch the full episode online or something) growing up, i was lucky if my opinions mattered as a kid. it was either "you do what i say or i am going to smack your head and then yell at you for crying "

in this moment here, bluey and bingo are a good example of what should have happened. "hey can i have a turn?" "let me finish this first" "oke!" its a respect of each others boundaries. muffin's situation is a better representation of what I went through growing up. muffin is 3 so i don't expect her to be mature enough to handle boundaries perfectly yet, but in this moment all muffin wanted to do was finish her cowboy hat. instead of "it is ok, finish it up and then give it to your sister ok?" it was "no, your feelings are not valid deal with it" To stripe's credit, he didnt just cut the video feed either when the kids said no. there is a good chance my dad would have done that. this episode is hilarious too and this show has a LOT of balls to have children misbevaving in a kids show. I appreciate that.

and then there is the end. the moral both applies to children AND adults. you need to share parenting and your things But you also need to respect others boundaries and don't force yourself in. most kids shows would be lazy and just ✨💖❤️sharing is caring and love and woudlent the world be such a wovely place if we all shared!!✨🥰🌸 but that isn't realistic. sharing IS nice, but are you willing to "share" your car with your neighbor you barely know? how about your phone? why not? sharing is caring after all. as an adult that grew up in an emotionally neglectful household, i love and appreciate bluey. I am jealous that the newer generation get's to grow up on this.

Quickest way to start fights in animal related ares of the internet is to say simple factual statements that people don't want to admit to themselves like

"your dog is not displaying guilt and does not know what it did wrong, dogs do not feel guilt or make connections between actions and delayed consequences like that, you're just attempting to rationalize wanting to punish your dog out of anger or frustration"

or

"your pet is not doing this thing you find annoying or hurtful out of spite, animals are not spiteful, you are projecting your own feelings on them because you're upset and want to feel justified for your upset reactions"

Last night I was thinking that I the world of BNHA, where there are a vast variety of body types, there seems to be an odd emphasis on the shape of a hero, especially among women. This, despite the knowledge that differing quirks have differing needs, like with FatGum.

I've theorised for a while that in the BNHA universe, people with the base body shape, ie. The "typical" human figure we now carry, are expected to live up to super strict standards to be considered attractive. Especially with the skin tight clothing that a lot of heros wear like Midnight and All Night, there is emphasis on the musculature and figure. I won't get into the discrimination that hetero-figures face, because I think Spinner and Shoji discuss it, but clearly the standards of what makes people conventionally attractive is different. Maybe scales must be brightly coloured and shining? Heteromorphs must show enough commonalities with base bodies? (Looking at Mirko and Hawks) (Is Grand Orca considered attractive? I read that children cry seeing him, which hurts him a lot)

I'd like to think that skin tones are no longer a marker of attraction (colorism is a huge deal in Asian countries. I know because I am Asian), as evidenced by Mina and Mirko, but I feel like it is taken over by other kinds of discrimination. Clearly women are held to ridiculous standards even in the BNHA universe.

It would be a fun aspect to explore. Clearly BNHA is a very well built universe with a society filled with different types of discrimination and class issues that can and should be explored.
