#Animal Feed Additives price

Hi fellow adventurers!! A few weeks ago i caught wind of "Delicious in Dungeon". I'm not really an anime person, but I am a TTRPG, CRPG, and cooking person- . And holy shit. It is so good i  convinced my partner to binge read the whole thing. I'm caught up on dungeon meshi, the anime, and just yesterday i also finished dungeon meshi, the manga.

Its rare to come across a serialized story that is so thematically cohesive and knows its characters so well. All of the bonus content like the artbooks and monster tidbits are just the icing on top.

So, inspired by Ryōko Kui's writing and illustration I'm going to attempt to create a recipe for every single Delicious in Dungeon recipe!-

Today that means Huge Scorpion and Walking Mushroom hotpot is on the menu!

SO, “what goes in to a Huge Scorpion and Walking Mushroom hotpot?” YOU MIGHT ASKThis is one of the pricier dishes until we get to the kelpies and dragons of the menu-

Rock lobster tail

Porcini mushrooms

Shiitake mushrooms

Snow fungus

Small potatos

Fensi (glass noodles)

Water

OPTIONAL: your choice of dipping sauces

There was a crossover/promotional event in Shibuya which featured various realworld dishes from the series. They had one for Huge Scorpion and Walking Mushroom, but they used prawns.  while those cook better in a hotpot, they also didn't look enough like the scorpion for me, they also used udon noodles for the slime and a seaweed/kale(?) mixture for the algae. If you're looking for substitutes due to price or availability i would start with those ingredients.

AND, “what does a Huge Scorpion and Walking Mushroom hotpot taste like?” YOU MIGHT ASKI hope Senshi would forgive me for technically cooking the lobster outside the pot, once he tastes it.

Okay im always partial to veggies but wowowowowowowoowowowow the snow fungus and the mushrooms tasted soooooooooooo good in the lobster stock

A nice delicate layering of different flavors

Try to get a bite with the lobster meat and shiitake together, dip in butter then chili- trust me

Its up to you what texture you prefer if you want to put the noodles in at the end or put them in halfway through the meal. Either way dont go for eating those first as theyre very filling

I think this would pair well with a citrus drink, something light and clarifying

This would also pair well with being extremely high and hungry (if you feel safe cooking while inebriated lol) very calorically dense

For the trial run I did one lobster tail in the pot with everything else, and one lobster tail off to the side to be picked apart. The former is more in spirit with a hotpot, but it got rubbery as the meal went on and lost its nice taste. The latter may be a bit more work but all you have to do still is boil it and set it aside. I found it held up much better. It was also easier to get inside the shell.

. If you have hardshell maine lobster available, i think it would be superior to rock lobster (keep in mind crustaceans will get rubbery if cooked too long in the pot) . Green onions and/or lotus root would make excellent additions

From getting the ingredients out to sitting down and eating, id say it took maybe 30 minutes max? It'd vary on how fast you can prep vegetables and get the various implements heated.

Hotpots are not something i do very often as i'm usually just feeding myself. I think thats why a hotpot makes perfect sense to start the series off. If you want to set the tone of "take care of yourself, eat food with others, and use what you have" (generally speaking) there is nothing more simplistic, flexible, and defeats-the-purpose-if-you-eat-it-alone than a hotpot. Gather around and let your friends bring ingredients to the pot if you want to fill your heart up extra full <3

I'm doing something different here because unlike previous recipes where i used a bunch of different sources and made my own recipe out of hodge-podging it, or just used another persons recipe entirely if they did it really well, i made this more whole-cloth based off of what i had available, what I could discover through research, and my existing knowledge. Instead of the recipe being 50/50 original, this one is more 20/80. So. I'll pass the final verdict off to you guys :D 

What would you rate this recipe out of 10? (with 1 being food that makes one physically sick and 10 being food that gives one a lust for life again.) Did you love it, did you hate it? What're your thoughts on what I could do different, and what would you have done instead?

Ingredients:

2 Rock lobster tails

3 Porcini mushrooms

2 Shiitake mushrooms

Snow fungus (a good handful, should rehydrate in the hotpot)

2 Small waxy potatos

Fensi (glass noodles)

Water/lobster stock

Method:

Lightly rinse all of your vegetables beforehand and let them dry.

Vertically slice the porcini mushrooms. Cut off and dice the stems of the shiitake mushrooms. You can slice the tops if youd like.

Peel and cube the potatoes, roughly an inch each.

For the lobster tails; Boil a pot of salted water. Keep the shell on. Weigh the largest tail and add 1 minute of cooking time for every ounce of weight.

When done, strain the lobster from the water. Pour the water into your hotpot as the base. Serve the lobster on the side so people can pick the meat out to dip into the hotpot.

Bring the hotpot to a simmer. Add the potato cubes, snow fungus, mushrooms, and noodles.

OPTIONAL: this wasnt in the show, but its fun having sauces on the side :) i had oyster sauce, dry seasoned chili dip, melted butter, and soy sauce available

You know the 141 who are stuck in a warzone base for months would have basically adopted a stray dog. Price never should have let Soap feed it the first time because it just spiralled from there. Turns into not only a therapy animal but given how clever the thing is it's basically a team member by this point. Ghost dotes on it, trains this dog up to be the perfect addition to the team.

(And also sighs and keeps making comments to Soap about how if only he'd take to training so bloody easy he wouldn't need to keep going in the crate).

Jokes on you though bc he will literally wait til it's your birthday and buy you a matching one and will laugh at your scream of disgust.

Gaz one ups him by gifting you a matching hat as well, putting it on your head as he flicks the brim.

"Thanks Gaz! I love it!

"And not mine?"

"You're on thin ice, old man."

Price gets gifted a set from manscaped by the guys as a gag gift. He uses it for his beard bc he never bothered to look into why everyone was laughing around him.

Price takes your phone when you try and show him memes, squinting hard as fuck like a dad 💀

Soap, if yall have the time off takes you to scottish football games and it's a whole thing. You sitting there while he gets drunk out of his fucking mind, hollering and whooping and you're there trying to sink into your seat.

Chances are someone's gonna shove you and you're gonna trip and fall bc everyone's so amped up and Soap threatens to beat the shit out of them. It's a miracle y'all don't get kicked out 💀

If you have tattoos, Soap is the first one to take a marker set and color them in and adding his own additions. If you were ever to get them actually tattooed, he would tear up and pretend he isn't emotional about it.

"You like me that much Bonnie?"

He would get something of you too, so it evens out. This also makes Ghost in turn get a tattoo for you bc he refuses to be out done and he's just as attached

Neither of them get your call sign or your name, but they get something personal to what each of them associate you with.

The first time you meet Alex, you're across the room doing something that has your focus and didn't realize this is actually your first time meeting him. You ask him for a hand only to look up and see him extend his prosthetic at you with a smile and you scream.

"You asked for a hand but best I can do is a Leg." Price comes running and he sees the scene and rolls his eyes.

Everyone single one of them are the definition of "my girl can wear whatever she wants bc I'll break your jaw." meme btw. You can take care of yourself but you never need to bc they will beat a bitch up.

Laswell invites you constantly to come over and meet with her wife, esp if you don't have a mother figure. She always always tries to come on base to see you and always has a birthday and Christmas present on it's way to you wherever you may be. Her wife loves you to death and they've pretty much adopted you and you cannot escape it, oh well.

Gaz buys you whatever your little heart desires, especially if he's deployed away in a country where they sell exclusives of whatever you enjoy. It's a pain in the fucking ass to try and ship a anime figure to your place from Japan but he's gonna try his best.

Ghost doesn't share his food, or at least it was before you came along. He groans and grumbles about having to feed you but he wouldn't do it if he truly didn't want to. Soap asks and Ghost tells him to fuck off.

If you watch anime, please imagine trying to get everyone in the room and trying to explain who Dabi is. They're all so fucking old they keep thinking you're referring to the elf from Harry Potter and it infuriates you to no end.

Soap and Gaz know better but it's funnier to see you mad.

Being the youngest, they absolutely force you to do the jobs they don't want to. Whether it be cleaning the barracks, to cooking dinner when able, it doesn't matter bc they'll all pull rank on you.

"You're the new kid, get to it then."

"Ghosttttt-"

"Don't Ghost me."

Soap is the kind of motherfucker to play the fifa games and doesn't understand that he's stupid for buying it every single year bc there are no changes oncesoever. He will not listen to you about it and you've given up.

Ghost will see you talk about your etsy list and will ask for your phone, you trust him so of course you hand it over. He hands it back to you and it's just, all purchased. He says nothing while he sips on his tea while you scream at him asking why he did it. He won't tell you but it's because he knows it makes you happy and it'll keep your mood up, giving you a reason to be motivated to get through missions. It's also because he knows that retail therapy is a thing for your generation.

Soap, if you do any, is actually really good at doing your makeup! He knows how to do everything and he refuses to elaborate. (As a kid he'd do his mom's makeup when she went out for dates) he's the one who helps you doll up if you're going undercover.

Ghost, Gaz and Price find you unfunny whenever you make a "wow I wish British people were real." You say it so often and it gets annoying but they also just accept it's a part of life.

Soap personally enjoys the "SCOTLAND FOREVERRRRRRR" meme and will scream it with you. Ghost threatens to cut yalls tongue out.

The Wolfen Shapeshifter - Whumper's Collection of Supernatural Beasts part 1

Warnings: captive Whumpee (in the form of a wolf shapeshifter), blood, bullet wounds, near-death, muzzled, chains

This one's not my favorite story I've written, but it's still pretty entertaining, so I decided to post it anyway. Any feedback is much appreciated!

Caretaker met up with Whumper early in the morning for her next set of tasks. She had a unique set of skills: caring for literal monsters. That was the exact reason Whumper had hired her. He was a collector of unusual beasts and creatures thought to have gone extinct; he had a whole living collection of odd specimens, and it was Caretaker's job to make sure they all stayed alive. Feeding them, refilling water trays, cleaning cages, tending to sick beasts... Caretaker was in charge of it all.

She and Whumper worked closely together. Caretaker felt nothing for the captive creatures in his possession, after all they were just mindless beasts he put on display for entertainment. Occasionally he'd invite friends or fans over to get an exclusive and up-close encounter with the specimens in his private collection... for the right price, of course. His freak show was a huge source of revenue on top of bringing him a lot of attention and fame.

But today there was a different energy in the air. Caretaker came in to Whumper’s office like usual to receive her list of duties for the day, but Whumper looked a bit distressed, pacing when she arrived.

"Is everything all right, Sir?" She asked politely as she poked her head in.

Whumper jumped in surprise. "Ah, I was wondering when you'd arrive!"

"Right on time as always," Caretaker teased.

Whumper smiled broadly at that. "You always have been my top employee. So reliable. Today I have a particularly difficult and unruly beast for you to look after. A new addition to my collection." He brushed past her and gestured urgently for her to follow. And if Caretaker was reading his body language right, he seemed... excited? But not the typical excitement.

She trotted to keep up with his brisk pace as they headed down to the viewing area where all the animals were kept, which was where she usually worked. Whumper barged in, and Caretaker spotted five people already gathered at the far end of the hall. On either side, dozens of cells and cages and glass displays lined the walls, full of every kind of mutated creature imaginable. A cat with five legs, a deer with a single horn like a unicorn... and so much more.

Whumper usually liked to take his sweet time strolling past his collection, but today he breezed right past them all, heading straight for the group of strangers in professional gear. Two of them wore white clothes like doctors.

"I've brought the expert!" He announced when he approached, and every set of eyes swiveled to stare at Caretaker, making her self-conscious.

"She's your caretaker?!" One man sputtered in disbelief, but was silenced by a fierce glare from Whumper.

"She is. And you will treat her with respect," he snapped. "Now move aside."

The group parted and Whumper led Caretaker to the cell in back -- and what Caretaker saw stole her breath away.

There, she spotted a truly massive wolf, almost the size of a small horse, and would probably stand shoulder-high on her if she had to guess. It was by far the largest canine she'd ever seen.

It was curled up on the floor with a heavy duty muzzle and chains attached to metal cuffs on its legs and neck bolting it to the floor with limited space to move around.

"I'll pay you triple the usual rate if you can save its life," Whumper said hoarsely.

"Sorry, what?" Caretaker sputtered. That's when she noticed the blood on the floor of the glass cell holding the wolf.

"My hunters injured it pretty badly when they were trying to catch it," Whumper explained hastily. "It's a male. The animal put up a good fight, destroyed half of the group I sent to pursue it. I strictly told them not to kill it, but some idiot panicked and pulled out their gun and shot the beast." He scowled angrily.

"This is a one-of-a-kind discovery, it's too valuable to lose. Do you think you can fix it?" His voice had a hint of desperation in it. The wolf would be useless to him if it died.

"I-I'll see what I can do," Caretaker said.

Whumper unlocked the cage door for her, and she cautiously approached the deadly animal. Even restrained it felt unsafe to be so close.

Caretaker dropped to a knee and crouched down next to the wolf, and ran a hand through its soft black fur in wonder, marveling at it. She's never seen a monster like this one before. But she could see the pain and sadness in its golden eyes, both surprisingly human-like emotions. Then the wolf's eyes flicked to Whumper, and it let out a weak growl.

"What kind of creature is this?" Caretaker breathed in amazement.

"A wolfen shapeshifter, we think," Whumper answered. "But there's something wrong with it. It can't shift to a human form. All the more spectacular a sight for my display, though." He let out a delighted laugh, and Caretaker joined in, but there was something unsettling about the way the wolf stared at her, like it could see straight into her soul. There was an uncanny intelligence to its eyes she couldn't explain.

One of the doctors scuttled forward and set a big basket of medical supplies next to Caretaker, before quickly retreating to safety outside the cell.

"I'll leave you to your work," Whumper said with a pat on her back. "Good luck. I hope you can save this one..." He dismissed himself and left, along with the group that had been hovering at the doorway, leaving Caretaker alone with the monstrous animal.

Caretaker wasted no time rummaging through the medical kit, bringing out several rolls of white gauze and a suture kit. "Okay... let's see how bad it is..." she mumbled to herself, and reached out to the wolf.

The large animal tensed with a warning growl through the cage-like muzzle, baring its teeth slightly in fear. But it was too weak to be of any threat, and Caretaker knew it.

"Come now, don't be like that," she added with a smile. "I'm here to help." She often liked talking to the creatures under her care while she worked, even knowing they could never understand her. She reached over and located the source of the bleeding, a vicious gash ripped along its flank along with several bullet wounds slowly oozing blood with every heartbeat.

"Yikes, these are some bad ones, huh?" Looks like you had one intense battle..."

The wolf snorted and she could have sworn she saw it roll its eyes -- if that was even possible for a wolf to do.

She snapped on some latex gloves and the wolf flinched as she started to stitch up the long gash on its flank, letting out a high whine as she brought the needle to its skin again and again.

"I know it hurts... I'm almost finished..." Caretaker murmured soothingly as the wolf whined and twitched under her skilled hands, whimpering pitifully. She was a professional at her work, and in no time she had moved on from the deep laceration to the lesser bullet wounds, closing them up one at a time.

The floor was slick with blood, the same blood that streaked black fur, but finally Caretaker was finished, and gently wrapped gauze around the injured leg and bullet holes she'd stitched up.

The beast twitched at every small movement, growling and whimpering at regular intervals to express its displeasure.

Caretaker let out a soft sigh as she bandaged the last wound, leaning back to examine her work. She'd done it. The poor animal would live to see another day in captivity. Mission complete. Her gaze drifted to the side and she looked into the wolf's golden eyes, and the wolf stared right back at her with that same unusually perceptive look, like it was trying to read her emotions. She shuddered uneasily, picking up the care chart that had been left for her to review.

"Subject 32, eh?" She read aloud, raising an eyebrow. "That's not a very fitting name for such a magnificent creature. How about I call you... Eclipse? Because your fur is black, just like how day turns to night during an eclipse." She always enjoyed coming up with cute names and nicknames for each of the monsters under her care.

The wolf let out a tired breath of hot air, closing its eyes.

"Eclipse it is!" Caretaker chuckled, and began cleaning up the mess of blood on the floor along with the remaining medical supplies.

Eclipse didn't even crack an eye to look at her again as she worked around his prone form, too injured and exhausted to care.

Caretaker quietly retreated from the cage once she was finished to leave him alone to rest. Tomorrow would certainly be an interesting day.

I think that regardless of the divorce between Hades and Persephone the seasons will continue to happen, if we think about the myth we will remember that the reason why Persephone was permanently trapped in the underworld was because before returning to her mother she ate some seeds of pomegranate, so following this reasoning we can think that their marriage was just a formality to preserve Persephone's honor since she was kidnapped and probably abused by Hades (we know that at that time if a woman was abused she should marry the abuser to preserve her and her family’s honor)

We know that some curses cannot be broken even by the gods (Beelzebub as an example) so we just need to think that the curse present in pomegranates (it is in all underworld foods) are so strong that even the gods who eat them are forced to be trapped in the underworld without being able to free herself, so Persephone would still be forced to spend 6 months in the underworld but now she is no longer forced to be imprisoned in the Palace of Hades and is free from the obligations of a wife

As the curse still forces her to spend part of the year there, the seasons continue as her mother is still unhappy with the situation but now the seasons (mainly autumn and winter) are much milder as Demeter is happy with her divorce. daughter, the seasons being milder (autumn and winter) and stronger (spring and summer) is not necessarily good since climate change can accidentally destroy the existing ecosystem, it would practically be divine global warming melting the ice areas, leaving deserts and hot areas in hellish temperatures, plants and food would ONLY be able to grow in spring since this would be the only climate that would not have an excessive change, which although it doesn't seem like it is very bad since planting only in one area for just a long period of time without giving the soil time to rest will deplete all nutrients from the soil leaving it infertile

Due to the changes, it would be impossible to plant food in other seasons as fruits and vegetables would not be able to adapt to climate changes and it would be unnecessary to resort to the use of pesticides and other artificial cultivation techniques to keep the few harvests alive, this would affect the quality of the crop. food would decline and would cause prices to increase since with the drop in food production it would not be able to match the great demand of the population and this would cause an increase in world hunger and food insecurity for the poorest people since we know that when there is a large demand for a limited quantity of a product the price of that product will naturally rise

The problem will be so big that it will probably also affect animals, wild animals will have difficulty adapting to climate change (probably these animals died from heat and cold as their bodies were not adapted, in fact now that I think about the high temperatures can lead to natural fires that would devastate entire forests) and many will die due to lack of food (without plants, herbivores will not be able to feed themselves and without herbivores, predators will not be able to feed themselves and this will probably collapse many ecosystems), the Livestock industries will also be affected as they, in addition to having difficulty feeding animals, will have to worry about them dying due to the climate (many industries will probably go bankrupt) with the drop in production products such as meat of any kind will probably rise in price which will undermine people's purchasing power, which will generate even greater food insecurity

In short, everyone on earth will suffer because Percy indirectly destroyed a harmonious ecosystem thousands of years old because she is so hot and charismatic, I can't imagine the look on her face knowing that humans are dying as collateral damage of her being in an ALMOST relationship romantic relationship between her and the yanderes, not to mention the damage that Poseidon can do with the tides, Beelzebub with diseases and violence and Apollo with literal Global warming, our girl is indirectly leading humans to extinction just by exist

• Rodolfo was that one kid who thought chocolate milk came from brown cows. Alejandro constantly teased him about it for years

• You know those protein bars you can buy at like every corner store? Yeah, Gaz hates them with passion and would rather starve than eat one

• As a kid, König only ate apples if they were cut into slices

• Soap particularly loved painting when he was a kid, the passion for arts has always been present in his life

• If Farah didn't do what she does as a living, she'd love to have her nails done professionally. She's always loved the idea of low-key but well-made and beautiful pieces, but never had the chance to wear them

• Valeria only uses one specific brand of nail polish. That's the only one she trusts and knows won't get ruined, even when doing stuff she usually does (running errands etc)

• The iPhone morning alarm sound gives Gaz heart attacks no matter how many times he hears it. It's literally the flashback meme for him

• Laswell doesn't like driving. She does travel by car to work and usually she's the one behind the wheel when going somewhere with her wife (she's an acts of service type of person), but she doesn't particularly enjoy it

• Rodolfo hates strong smells like gasoline or bleach. Naturally he got used to them fast, but that doesn't mean they don't bother his nose

• König has the full collection of those colorful McDonald's glasses (the Fifa World Cup 2018 ones)

• Ghost rarely drinks to begin with, but he has a specific dislike for beer. Don't know where it came from, he just doesn't like the taste

• Nikolai has such a high alcohol tolerance there isn't anyone who comes near his level on the team. The closest anyone has ever been to beating him was when Price and Laswell managed to keep up with him for a while, but then both of them ended up knocked out on the counter. Nik had to take them home and the next day he didn't stop teasing them about it

• Back to my Hay Day dumbassery for a second - somehow Valeria's level passed everyone in a couple of weeks and you better believe Alejandro was super jealous. Unsurprisingly, Soap and Gaz also argued about it

• Horangi didn't even know the game until he saw König play one day. The latter finds it quite relaxing, especially because of the animals and chance to decorate. He's that one player who has a bunch of decorations all over his farm, somehow looking horribly out of place yet put together at the same time. He's also the friend who helps with requests and does the best he can at Valley season. He feels bad every time he can't feed his animals, so he always makes sure he has every crop and component needed for stuff he has to make. Sometimes the game stresses him out like that, but it's mostly to help his mind relax

• Horangi forgets to play a lot to be honest. He only started because König begged him until he gave in, but he can't be bothered enough to play all the time when off duty. Even then, his farm is simple but effective: buys only the stuff he needs and doesn't really care about additional details (yes, König takes offense to how plain his game looks)

Summary

Eddie follows the recommendation of another vampire to visit a 'donor,' a human who lets vampires feed off them for a living. What he's not expecting is for said donor to be a ghost from high school past in the shape of Steve Harrington. "The price is $50 per bite," Steve explained with what sounded like a well-practiced spiel. "That's teeth breaking skin. You choose where you want to bite, but if it's below the belt I'm charging an extra $20 per bite." He paused for a moment, leveling a scrutinizing gaze on Eddie until the vampire nodded his understanding. Steve's eyebrows lifted. "I'm going to need verbal confirmation, please." And oh, that tone did something for Eddie. He'd probably be blushing if he had enough blood in his system to reach the right places. As it was, he hadn't had a proper meal in weeks. MEDITERRANEAN SEA, SOUTH OF ITALY

Out of everything Robertas "Bob" Lė expected to find in the hatch, it certainly wasn't this. But to be fair, he wasn’t sure what he should’ve expected - it just didn’t seem feasible for the lid to be knocked open by complete chance. The force required to turn the wheel was very deliberate.

And on his way there, after volunteering to investigate, he’d begun to second guess why.

Until now.

The interior was already drained before he approached the door at its landing. From a strange onset of paranoia, he held his pistol from behind his back. What for? Pirates?! The idea was laughable.

It was probably nothing. A false alarm. Or…

A merchild. They were real.

The creature in question was quite small, no larger than a tuna. Whether they were male or female was unknown. Pale blue skin, with fins on their singular arm, their back, and a pair residing where their ears would. Their hair and eyes were much more vibrant in hue, but their tail was the showstopper: cyan with a raspberry-pink tip.

As they struggled to climb the ladder, and failed several times, it became clear that they were also malnourished, judging by how visible their ribcage was. Poor thing probably hasn’t had a decent meal in weeks.

Bob put the gun away.

He didn’t have much to offer, aside from a tin of canned sardines (which, funnily enough, he was the only one aboard who cared for the things). Though, maybe this starving merchild won’t mind.

Tin in hand, he slowly bent down to their level, opening it. “Hey,” He asked softly, “Do you want some?”

The new sounds got the blue creature’s attention, staring at Bob, then the tin.

“I’ll just set them here for you, alright?” He did as he said, then backed away to give some space. The merchild watched him leave. Then, bravely crawled over to the tin, smelling it curiously.

And stuffed their face into the hole, devouring every last sardine.

The next look Bob was given was pleading. “Sorry, I do not have more. I would have to go all the way to the food storage, and… Well.” He was sure the crew, and especially the captain, wouldn’t be too keen on him supplying their backup rations to what could potentially be a wild animal. No matter how begrudging they were about those little fish.

After all, it was Bob who carefully calculated it for the long journey ahead. An additional mouth to feed would be catastrophic.

“Anyway,” He continued, donning one of the few diving suits near the hatch, “Let’s get you back out where you belong.” Their family surely must be worried. … If familial bonds were part of their culture, that is.

Once out in the open water, the merchild had sped off, not daring to look back. And soon after, for whatever reason, Bob missed them.

Just as he finished up and went to leave the hatch’s landing, someone stood in the doorway.

Captain Gonzalo. A traveler from Spain, who came to Lithuania specifically to seek him out for this… Admittedly crazy scheme, to begin with. A submarine capable of sailing all the way to Australia.

“Why don’t you just fly there?” Bob had asked.

“What? You joking? I’ve done that everywhere else! It's so boring!” He’d laughed at the idea. ”But the sea… It calls my name. And if you do this for me, I am prepared to pay you handsomely!” It was enough to put Billy through college, to afford all the materials necessary to upgrade him through every stage of life until adulthood, where he could then take such matters into his own hands.

The plan was inane. But the price he was willing to pay tipped the scales.

But at this moment, Gonzalo looked upon him with a smirk. “So, what was that, Shipwright?”

“Oh, just a lost fish, Captain. Nothing to worry about.” Half true, but if Bob had been completely honest, he wouldn’t have been believed.

“I see!” The captain’s expression didn’t change, as if seeing through the bluff. “Well, let’s hope it doesn’t happen again!”

“Indeed.” But Bob didn’t waver either, hoping his commitment helped to conceal things.

A few days later, however, it did happen again. This time, it wasn’t an accident.

DCA Info Part 21: Magiaoasis Dorm 🏝️🐵🌺

Magiaoasis (マギアオアシス寮, Magiaoashisu Ryō) was founded on the Headstrong Heart (頑固なの心) of the Princess of Sand and is inspired by the world of Aladdin. Students of this dorm excel in Cultural Dance and Horticulture.

Dorm Founder: Jasmine

Known in-universe as the Princess of Sand (砂の王女).

Dorm Crest

The dorm crest features an emblem with a purple exterior. The inside of the emblem features the genie's lamp puffing out pinkish purple smoke and behind the lamp is a silhouette of the Sultan's Palace under a starry night sky. On the top of the emblem is a pinkish purple moon shaped charm with gold  swirls and a golden outline and on the bottom of the emblem is a purple and yellow banner that resembles a carpet with the dorm's name on it and on the tips of the banner are gold fringes. In the background of the dorm crest, there is purple smoke clouds.

Dorm Leader: Vidya Nazari

Magiaoasis' current dorm leader is Vidya Nazari, the generous princess of the Oasis Kingdom who desires to help commoners and is a skilled swordswoman.

Dorm Fairy: Luna

Luna (ルナ, Runa) is Magiaoasis' dorm fairy and vice dorm leader. She is a headstrong fairy who admires people that seize the day with a determined outlook. She also listens to students issues regarding relationships whether with friends or lovers. Luna is as ferocious as a tiger when she joins in training with the other students. It is said that she might have encountered a genie years ago but that's just a rumor.

Her current appearance takes form of Vidya's fiery spirit as a child, always determined to make herself better in order to maintain her people's happiness and help the Oasis Kingdom prosper.

Dorm Living Quarters

• The exterior of the Magiaoasis dorm living quarters has the same features as the palace in Agrabah, however, the layout is more close to nature and has plenty of open areas to keep the heat out. Unlike the Scarabia dorm where Kalim's father donated a hefty sum of money to upgrade the dorm. Vidya sent her personal gardeners to have the dorm beautified because the plants tend to wilt under the harsh heat. So she planted better versions of the plants and then some exotic ones. The dorm living quarters has sandstone walls and marble pillars that are in a light beige. The roofs are built with a special glass that keeps the heat out while providing a natural light source during the day. The dorm living quarters are also surrounded by a vast amount of plants that wild animals often flock to during certain times of the month. Students routinely feed them and make sure they are in perfect health during the animal's stay.

• The only thing she had built for the dorm was a better and more spacious greenhouse and aviary. She kept all of these additions within a reasonable price since she has a paranoia of making the wrong purchase so she's making efficient use of materials that are affordable yet durable. The greenhouse contains a variety of fruit trees, flowers and cacti inside. Most of the produce are delivered to the cafeteria or be turned into smoothies for a quick and refreshing drink.

• The interior of the building is decorated with plenty of sofas and tapestry that depict the story of the Princess of Sand. There is also wall sconces that were made to hold fresh lavender that is changed three times a week to help provide a peaceful night sleep.

• There is an oasis nearby that students sometimes swim in. It became a normal pass time to swim in the oasis during the harsh hot months. For some reason the oasis doesn't dry up, that is a mystery to the students of the dorm but they aren't complaining as it is their only option of cooling off. On occasion, you can find a herd of camels near the oasis that come to drink.

• The aviary is placed in the hallways leading to the outside garden. Some of them contain a student's bird companion while others house sick or injured birds.

• The only permanent animal residents of the dorm are the monkeys. They are playful and mischievous, so students need to keep a close eye on their belongings unless they want it to end up as a monkey's plaything. Luckily, they'd willingly trade it back for bananas. The monkeys may also find some interesting objects lying about in the sand, sometimes they bring some pieces of shiny metals or minerals. They have a habit of chasing after anything shiny. The monkeys know how to use knives and swords much to the shock and amazement of the students. They handle it as well as any other swordsman. The monkeys use it keep away dangerous wild animals that might come near. There have also been rumors that the land the dorm was built on was where a hidden cave of treasure could be found, but that's just rumors right?

• In the middle of the dorm building is a large fountain with a tiger statue in the middle of it. This is the dorm's wishing well, they throw coins in and pray for luck but the monkeys usually snatch the coins after the student leaves.

Etymology

The dorm's name is a portmanteau of the words "magic" and "oasis".  The latter referencing the oasis Aladdin and his companions travel to after escaping The Cave of Wonders.

30: what have they done that has affected their canon wasteland?

Red - game wise, just doing shit in thr campaign. They helped take down caesar and assisted the NCR in keeping control of the hoover dam, killing lanius (although the dam intake did all the work). Out of game, they were a semi infamous outlaw for a number of years, which continues to haunt them long after the Dustriders are gone.

Killian - Killian's story is a bit AU, since he gets out of the vault a few years earlier than intended and goes almost straight to Nuka World, taking over from coulter much quicker and shaping the gangs into something much more cohesive, for a time. The gangs fed into his drug addiction and he quickly became more of a figurehead/attackdog for the gang leaders to throw at various problems. Nisha eventually attempts ti assassinate him, which is where he's freed from nuka world and his story really begins. It takes him a longggg fucking time to even get around to the events of fo4.

He's present in Quincy when the gunners attack and assists the survivors when they flee, helping them along the way. In an attempt to atone, he helps Preston regrow the minutemen, although refuses/is not given the title of general. He kind of travels around, helping settlements out with their defenses and home militias.

Cecelia - since she's not a player character, most of what she affects happen pre and post game. She was also an outlaw, like Red, but she was much more in the background and never had the same price on her head that they did. After the game, she keeps a small group of Followers in the Mojave after the main group move on and they station themselves in Goodsprings, going out to help the people recover from the aftermath of Caesar's Legion. She personally helps in putting down the remnants that splintered after Caesar and Lanius' deaths.

In her courier 6 au, she does much the same, as well as campaign stuff.

Cato - also not a main character. Formerly a zealous and loyal Legionary, he suffers a crisis of faith and begins feeding the NCR information from the inside. He's in a position of relative power, controlling some of the points where information goes through the Legion ranks. Working with the Frumentarii, he manages communication lines and develops ciphers, as well as working to crack NCR codes. He's in an incredibly dangerous position to be a turncoat. When he's discovered, he's very nearly killed. After escaping and being rescued, he joins the final fight at the Hoover dam to help push the Legion out for good.

Finally free, he chooses to stay with the Followers who remain, stationing himself in Goodsprings with them and devoting himself to his passions, like falconry and animal care.
