I Googled “Spanish terriers” or something like that and found out about the best named breed of all time: el perro ratonero bodeguero andaluz or THE ANDALUSIAN WINE CELLAR RAT-HUNTING DOG and that’s just beautiful in its specificity—not just any rat-hunting dog; the wine cellar rat-hunting dog. And not just any wine cellar—the Andalusian wine cellar. Cantabrian or Extremaduran wine cellars will just have to remain rat-infested, or invest in their own local rat-hunting dogs. Meanwhile, any other Andalusian location with a rat problem can go to hell. Wine-cellar rats only, please. I love everything about the name of this breed.
#this ranks alongside the Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever#¡el perro ratonero bodeguero andaluz!#Andalusian wine cellar rat-hunting dog!

Paulina and Lalo – 4 year old female and 2 year old male Andalusian Wine-Cellar Rat-Hunting Dogs
Lalo and his mother Paulina are two 8 kg Andalusian Wine-Cellar Rat-Hunting Dogs, a Spanish breed of dog of the Terrier type, which were given away after their owner passed away and are now looking to be rehomed together, as they are very close.
Lalo was born in 2016. He is a bit shy at the beginning but very affectionate, he gets along well with kids and he is social with both male and female dogs. He has a blow in one of his eyes, which probably happened when he was a puppy, and he cannot see with it. He is neutered.
Paulina was born in 2014 and was operated on an inguinal hernia when she was neutered. She is affectionate and very active. She used to get over-excited with other dogs, sometimes overwhelming them, as she wanted to play and they did not always want. But now her behavior with dogs has improved a lot, although being territorial within her kennel, she is compatible with all dogs. With people she is very kind and loving.
Mother and son are currently in a kennel in Spain but ready to reach together their forever home in the U.K.! They are castrated, microchipped, blood tested, up to date with vaccinations and flea and worming treatments and comes with a full passport.
If you feel that this little family could become part of your family, please get in touch to request an application form.
