Hi! I know I haven't played Mario & Luigi: Brothership and I only watched one person play it, but that didn't stop me from loving the game 😔

But I noticed a scary detail in a scene in the game…

In a scene in the game, Mario and Luigi end up being "absorbed" by one of the plants, they enter a world and one of this worlds where they are in MK and everyone is celebrating:

When we move forward we see that there were Toads and Koopas together, but this left them confused: Why were the Toads and Koopas together? and in harmony?

Next we go Junior to this ceremony, he says "I'm ready to put the past behind us if you are, Mario and Luigi!", completing with "It's so good to see you and my dad getting along now, after all"

Right away, doubts arise in Junior's speech: What did he mean by that?

Advancing a little further, we see Bowser and Peach together (?), wait what?! Bowser and Peach are together in that place as if they were friends?!

Then peach starts saying:

After this dialogue, Mario and Luigi are confused, what was happening there? 🤨🤨

Then suddenly, Bowser said to the brothers:

Then the Reclusa appears in the sky looking at the moment and laughs saying:

Then he reveals the truth, Mario and Luigi had been "absorbed" by Reclusa's plants, and in the end he reveals something important…

With this whole scary scene, we remember that when someone is absorbed by these plants, the person lives in the world they dream of, so a conclusion is reached in that scene:

Mario and Luigi's dream is to live in a world where they live happily in MK, and that they would also be friends with Bowser, King Koopa and Peach would be friends, without the kidnappings, this is very sad that leads to a anguish… 😔😔

you sneak out of your house, careful to avoid the creaky floorboards. the night air is cool against your skin as you walk through the empty streets, the buzz of the kegger ahead growing louder with each step. it’s just past midnight when you reach the boneyard, the ground is uneven, the sand mixing with beer-stained grass, and the smell of salty air mingles with the faint scent of weed and sweat.

you grab a red solo cup from the keg, its warmth feeling strange against your fingers. your eyes scan the crowd, taking in the sight of everyone laughing, shouting, and dancing—people you mostly know but can never remember their names the next day. you slip into the chaos, easing into conversations, letting the alcohol dull the edges of the night. everything’s blurry, but in a good way, like you can finally breathe.

“hey,” a voice says, way too close to your ear. you turn, finding some random boy—a touron, probably. his blue eyes are too wide, his grin a little too eager. “you’re cute. want a drink?”

you arch an eyebrow, taking a small step back. “no, thanks. i've got one,” you say, trying to keep your tone light. you’re not interested, but you don’t want to be rude.

he doesn’t get the hint. instead, he takes a half-step toward you, leaning in as though he’s trying to get into your personal space. “oh come on, don’t be like that. one drink won’t hurt.”

you cross your arms and take another step back, annoyance creeping up your spine. “i said no, okay?”

he just laughs like it’s some kind of game, and that’s when you start to feel the frustration bubble up. you don’t want to make a scene, but it’s clear this guy doesn’t know how to take a hint. every time you move away, he follows.

“seriously, i’m not interested,” you snap, voice growing more annoyed. “go find someone else.”

the boy’s smile falters, but his hand comes out to touch your arm, a move that feels more possessive than friendly. before you can even say anything else, a shadow cuts through the crowd, and you hear a familiar voice bark, “hey, man, leave her alone.”

you glance over, relief flooding you when you see rafe, your best friend, pushing through the crowd, eyes narrowed and jaw tight. his presence has always been a kind of shield for you, and this time, it’s no different.

the touron boy looks up at rafe, sizing him up like he’s about to say something smart, but rafe doesn’t wait. he steps closer, his voice colder than you’ve ever heard it. “i said, leave her the hell alone.”

the tourist smirks. “or what?”

before you can even blink, rafe’s already moved. his fist connects with the touron's jaw, knocking the boy off balance, and the crowd around you steps back, forming a ring. it’s over before you can process what’s happening—a punch here, a shove there, and the guy crumbles. rafe doesn’t stop. another hit to the stomach, and the touron goes down, blood trickling from his lip.

you’re frozen for a moment, shock settling in your chest, but when rafe finally steps back, you see the blood smeared across his knuckles and the red pooling around his nose. it’s not much, but it’s enough to make your heart stop for a second.

“oh my god, rafe,” you rush to him, your hands hovering at his shoulders as you try to figure out what to do. “are you okay? your nose…”

he swipes at it with the back of his hand, but it only makes it worse. his eyes narrow, his face flushed with anger, but his voice is rough, like he’s trying to convince himself he’s fine. “yeah, i’m fine. it’s just a scratch.”

“rafe…” you trail off, frustration mixing with your worry. you want to help, but he’s already brushing you off, turning his back to you to walk away.

“let’s get out of here,” he mutters, walking toward the edge of the party. you follow, watching him, unsure of what to say. your stomach twists, unsure whether to be relieved that it’s over or angry that he’s hurt, again, because of you.

the two of you make your way down the beach, the sounds of the party growing distant behind you. it’s too quiet, and you can’t shake the feeling that something’s wrong.

“you shouldn’t have done that,” you say finally, breaking the silence. you’re still angry, but your voice cracks with worry. “you didn’t have to get into that fight. you could’ve just-”

“and you shouldn’t have snuck out in the middle of the night to get drunk at a kegger alone!” rafe snaps, his voice rougher than usual, and you flinch at the bite in his words. “what the hell were you thinking? you know i worry about you.”

you swallow hard, the sting of his anger hitting you like a slap. “i didn’t mean to�� i wasn’t trying to-”

“you’re reckless,” he interrupts, throwing his hands up in frustration, and you step back, feeling the weight of it settle deep in your chest. his words cut through you, sharper than you want to admit, and you stare at the sand beneath your feet.

“i’m sorry,” you say quietly, your voice small now, “i didn’t mean to make you worry. i didn’t-”

rafe stops walking and turns to face you, the moonlight catching the blood on his hands and the jagged split on his knuckles. he looks at you for a long moment, his expression softening just a little.

“it’s not just that,” he mutters, the words barely above a whisper. “i care about you. i don’t want anything to happen to you.”

you feel your chest tighten, your heart fluttering unexpectedly. you step closer to him, unsure of what to say, but then your arms are around him, pulling him into a tight hug.

“'m sorry rafe. thank you f'caring, so much about me” you whisper into his shirt, the words soft, sincere. you feel the tension in his body for a moment, like he’s not sure what to do with this closeness, but then he wraps his arms around you too, just a little hesitantly at first, before he holds you tightly.

“don’t thank me,” he mutters, his voice breaking a little. “i’m just... doing what you deserve.”

but when you pull back to look at him, his eyes are full of something else, something that feels a little more vulnerable. you reach up, brushing a strand of hair out of his face, and that’s when you see a tear, slipping down his cheek, a quiet, unexpected crack in his facade.

“rafe…” your voice trembles. “what’s wrong?”

he swallows hard, avoiding your gaze. “it’s just… no one ever thanks me for caring. they just expect me to always be the one looking out for everyone else, but no one ever... gives a damn about me.”

you blink, heart catching in your throat. “that’s not true,” you say, pulling him back in closer, holding him tighter. “i care. i always care.”

he sniffles, his shoulders shaking just slightly as he pulls away, his expression softening but still strained. “dad doesn’t love me 's much as he loves sarah. he’s always telling me how proud he is of her. he- he never says it t'me. and i try so hard. i do everything f'him, everything to make him proud. 'm just invisible to him”

the weight of his words hits you like a punch to the gut, and you squeeze him tighter, not knowing what else to say. “’m so sorry, rafe,” you murmur, your voice thick with emotion. “i can’t imagine what that must feel like. but you’re not invisible t'me. you never will be.”

his breath hitches, and then, finally, he lets go. tears slip down his face now, the kind he’s always kept hidden. you hold him as he breaks down, your arms around him, offering what little comfort you can.

you both sit there in the sand for a long time, the sound of the ocean surrounding you, the night stretching on like a long, quiet exhale. finally, rafe pulls back, wiping his eyes with the back of his hand.

“thanks for being here,” he says, voice still rough, but softer than before. “for… f'caring.”

you smile at him, your heart full. “always, rafe. i’m always here for you.”

when you finally sneak back to your house, you help him up to your room. in the soft glow of your bedroom light, you clean the blood off his hands, gently tending to his wounds. rafe watches you, the affection in his eyes evident as he gazes at you with a softness you don’t see often.

“y'always so damn careful with me,” he murmurs, his voice full of something unspoken.

“'ts because i care,” you whisper, holding his hand in yours, feeling the warmth between you that has always been there.

Helloo! I don’t know if you remember me but I sent you once something about Yui in LE and now, after I played some routes, I can confirm that she’s my last fav Yui. 😬

// I have a complicated relationship with LE Yui, haha. I appreciate her for being more lively than CL Yui, but she mostly gave me the ick because she was definitely one of the most annoying LE characters.

I typically don't mind characters that are represented as jerks and upright mean, since you know what to expect from them, but I really dislike when characters who are portrayed as goody-shoes, do such messed-up and morally wrong things.

When I first went through LE, I didn’t start with Ayato’s route, given that I heard from many people about how tough it is and I wasn't emotionally prepared, so I started with others. I didn't like how she talked ill about her lover behind his back (more than once) and how her foolishness caused her to disclose critical secrets to people she shouldn't have and get into more troubles than normal. Nonetheless, I didn't think she was too bad… until Ruki's route, where she convinced the Mukami brothers that Karl wasn't a bad person because he returned their lives to "redeem" himself when we all know he only used them as pawns. But, if I thought THIS was bad, Ayato's LE route came.

~Things wrong with Yui in Ayato’s LE route~

1. Yui tried to convince Ayato that despite the fact that Cordelia abused him, “she only did it because she cared about his future”. And then had the audacity to act surprised when he started feeling sick.

2. The main reason why Ayato didn’t want to trust Richter, wasn’t necessarily his trauma, but the fact Richter actually hurt Yui and, in his book someone hurting his girlfriend is unforgivable. Nevertheless, when his brothers started a scandal about Richter and all ganged up against Ayato, not even letting him express HIS point of view, Yui did nothing but stand there staring. Although, after Ayato blew up the mansion again as a result of reactive abuse, she acknowledged that his brothers attacking him like that wasn’t right, but she still didn’t say it out loud to defend him, when she knew the reason behind his actions.

3. After Reiji and Ruki became Ayato's enemies, she went to them without telling him, which made him concerned, to convey her man's sadness and loneliness. I'm sorry, but this was the dumbest plan ever, considering that it was evident they wouldn't have cared about it, and hearing such a thing made them even more eager to mock and plot his downfall. In the end, despite her good intentions, she solved nothing but made things worse, including being bitten by Reiji, which caused Ayato to lose his mind. Based on the previous events, I'm not shocked he believed she would betray him.

4. The scenes in which Ayato began acting coldly towards her were my favorite parts of his LE route. In other LE routes, after doing or saying stupid things, the disputes were resolved in the next chapter or those actions were never mentioned, but I enjoyed how she was actually humbled here. I love Yui in general, but in LE, she deserved this treatment.

5. I assumed she had learnt her lesson, given that Ayato still cared for her despite his coldness, but then she goes to the Viboras to prove herself worthy of his trust. I liked how she tried to solve something (even if she didn't), but what made her behavior even WORSE was that 1) she justified Ruki giving Ayato a hard time and joining forces with the Church to kill him, and 2) she talked ill behind her lover's back despite telling Ayato the exact opposite face to face. I understand that Ayato didn't act very king-like, but at the same time, no one truly took him seriously or believed in him. Also, idk, but she should have tried to defend him, at least this time, instead of empathizing more with someone who hurt her man—?

I also find it amusing how LE is the only main DL game with no wedding at all, especially since Ayato was usually the one to marry her. I think he secretly didn't want it in LE, given that he didn’t even think of proposing. :”)

She’s definitely not a bad person though, but she kinda started acting up. I think that’s another reason why I don’t want a new game. I’m afraid they’ll ruin her even more. T-T

i think my fav dynamic for Sherlock + William's darling is with psych darling. Her deductions or startegies may not be the best Infront of the two, but her moment shines when she is insulting psychoanalysing them and actually being accurate.

Oh she could tell the moment when they are obsessed with her, she had watched William’s behavior from afar during her final year at university and had the opportunity to work with Sherlock when she joined Scotland Yard and she can see the shift in behavior from when she first met them to now as subtle as it is, and with Sherlock and William especially it is practically undetectable to most. Then after she finds out the clock starts ticking because as soon as one of them picks up that she knows it is all over.

I imagine that she has to put in her best facade while she works on getting work abroad which should not be to difficult given all of her recommendations and the fact that she would have graduated as the valedictorian from her university. She only tells the inspector she works for when she gets the new job, a criminal psychologist in a top private detective agency in Paris.

She gets so close, she had one last day on the force and sure she gets dragged along on a trip to York with Sherlock, Watson, and her boss, Inspector Lestrade, after Sherlock is a bit antsy after the Study in Scarlet/Jefferson Hope case. Everything goes alright on her end until she finds William and his brother on the train ride back to London and of course Sherlock already knows him, as if things could not get any worse…

Well they can.

The murder happens on the train and Sherlock and William solve it, with little help from her and Lestrade, the actual police, and the culprit gets caught and arrested. Then as they are about to go their separate ways Lestrade pats her on the back and has to say…

“Well this is certainly an interesting last day on the force for you, Doctor.”

The silence that follows that statement is absolutely screaming.

She just stands there, completely frozen, as William and Sherlock look at her and the inspector. William is the first to ask about what he meant and of course Lestrade has no problem giving an explanation, it is her last day because she is moving away to Paris. She excuses herself from the conversation to return home so she can hopefully have her things packed and she can be on a boat to France before the morning.

Then right as she is finishing packing the last of her things she hears footsteps from behind her and she turns around to see William, and she has no idea how on earth he had gotten into her flat. He walks right in and hands her a file, a case study that she had done on the Lord of Crime for Scotland Yard.

“You are quite intelligent, but you just are not quick enough. I am sorry to say that you lost this game or ours, my dear.”

The next morning a missing person’s report gets filed in Scotland Yard by one of her neighbors, the door to her flat was wide open, all of her suitcases and belongings still there but she was no where in sight, and her case study on the Lord of Crime lay on the ground. There is no trace of her that Scotland Yard can find, but just like in the Study in Scarlet there is something Sherlock needs to see.

Sherlock gets called to the scene and when he arrives the first thing her gets handed is the case study that was found on the ground and as he flicks through the pages he finds an odd page which was clearly not added by his darling, and all it has is a few words penned in neat handwriting that are all too familiar to Sherlock…

Some Thought on the Second season (the parts I watched, anyway)

In no order in particular, really.

=> The scene in the first episode of Jace trying to report Rhaenyra about the forces he aquired but breaking down in tears due to Luke's death was amazing. It's the conflict between being royals/rulers and being people/family. It also gave us more info about the state of the upcoming war, and showed us the relationship between Rhaenyra and her son.

=> Could have done without the "Rhaenyra looking at the distance" scenes, though. There must be a better way to explore her grief.

=> We got to see Lord Stark!!! And get some Winterfell lore!!! and go see the Watch!!!! The North is my fav I'm so glad to get that little glimpse. Also Cregan Stark is the most Stark dude I've seen on this show(s). Hopefully we'll see some fun wild blood of the wolf moments from him.

=> "I want Aemond's head" *leaves* ok girlboss but maybe come up with a plan

=> Jace hair is just.... So much better. I love character development.

=> We were robbed for not getting the Green's reaction to Aemond's kinslaying, especially since they'll have to manage the fallout from this act.

=> I don't like sexual turn in Allicent/Cole relationship. Not because I blame Allicent or whatever, I just really liked how their relationship was not grounded in romance/sex (in a way, they were respite to one another from sexual pressures) but I guess "she was a woman, he was a man" writing logic wins.

Edit: you know what? I thing that the criston -allicent thing could have been really good if we saw them get to that point. They were boinking out of nowhere . Was there something I missed in season 1?

=> I can go off all the ways this show strips women of agency and the ability to want anything, and perhaps I will (once I finish the season), but for now I don't like how Mysaria was "poor unfortunate soul forced to introduce Daemon to B&C for her freedom" and not, you know, an active perpetrator in this.

=> LOL not Daemon confronting Rheanys about the dumb scene in the dragon pit from season 1. Yes. Rheanys could've ended this war with minimum casualties. It's not her fault she didn't, the writers just decided to blow up a meaningful scene in the dumbest way ever.

=> Also there is a lot of talk during this season about the smallfolk and how their opinion can sway who wins the war, which is good, but it's odd that Rheanys' dragon stomping, killing and maiming all those smallfolk doesn't ever come up.

=> Daeron's existence being confirmed in an offhand remark after not even being MENTIONED in the last season is the FUNNIEST moment in this show for me.

=> It feels really odd to me that Aemond is still visiting the women who essentially was forced on him as a child. Like. It's the same kind of logic of "Larys has foot fetish becasue his disability is based around his foot" and I don't like it.

=> A lot of people say "They killed the boy" was Heleana not caring about her son dying, but for me it was a perfect encapsulation of her unable to handle the immense pain she's in and trying to distance herself from reality. This and the funeral scene later show Heleana trying to process her grief through her neurodivergence.

=> Real talk: why did B&C have a dog?

=> Daemon in Harrenhall is my favorite storyline, sitting there having indie horror game esque visions and phasing in and out an unfortunate reality of having to do diplomacy. Chef's kiss.

=> Daemon saying "have you considered kinslaying" to a Tully boy whos motto is "Family, Honor, Duty" is so fucking funny. He is so freaking bad at this.

=> ALYS RIVERSSSSSS MY FAVVVVVVVVV "you will die here", refuses to elaborates, leaves. Yes brew blood cocktails to give Daemon nightmares. Yessss gaslight him into thinking its the bed.

=> Ok the plan of Rhaenyra to sneak and meet with Alicent was so... Cartoonish. Also highly irresponsible for the ruling queen to dissapear without a trace during a WAR. Worse of all, it was kind of boring, and cost us valuable time we could use to expand upon other characters.

=> Like I know Cole sent the twin with a similar plan but at least that was acknowledged as stupid by the narrative, and also had an explosive and emotionally satisfying conclusion.

=> LMAO at Otto complaining about Aegon as he was fired, alll the way up to and including when he was packing to go back to the Reach.

=> What team am I if I think Aegon is a legit Usurper but Rhaenyra is kinda boring?

Random but i just saw your ship chart stuff and holy shit HigaxMaki feels like a feever dream to me and i still can't believe they have canon basis that feels,, unreal

He is such a weird case like, i get the impression that Linuj didn't intend for people to hate him THAT much and so he tried to do damage control via those flashback scenes in Ch6 so you just have him and Maki having flirting a bit, him being even a little heroic with kicking out that Monokuma and giving a motivational speech to the boys which is just,, wow, that will never enter my head, it simply does not compute,,

(Also the Ayame thing irks me so much but i'm so glad that Linuj's weirdness stayed confined in that character sheet because the game itself hardly goes out of it's way to sexualize her, at most there's the seemingly obligatory Dr fanservice scene and the weird angle in that CG showing the cut in her leg, and i just know it could have been SO much worse-)

From what I have read in most character sheet of Linuj did, Linuj somewhat have an obsession to make a bad character be redempted in some way....? So people would feel bad still for them- Except in some cases like Kanade and Syobai. But especially with Higa, it feels especially forced with him because even in flashback and the whole FTE, he feels disconnected from the class more than Utsuro does....? (Mind you, he's an intruder in first place but he's more connected to the class thanks to Yamato and Mikako keep accompanying him) So him having a bit of redemption arc with him saving Maki and suddenly being a motivator never really sits right with me.

Same thing with Kinji. Though in his case, I feel like his breakdown during class trial feels unnecessary and feels like Linuj just wanna follow the og trend of ch3 culprit being unhinged in some way- which ended up making Kinji being OOC during that whole class trial part.

Not gonna lie, I mostly cringed reading the whole Ayame's character sheet. You know that feeling when you want to know the creator's thought process on creating your fav character, but then it ended up being.... yeah. That's what I feel when I want to know more about Ayame 😭 the other character's sheet is pretty normal per-se, just only her man,,,, But yeah, I feel glad that at least Linuj keeps it in that rather than exploring it more in the game because boi, it will not help at all.

Sorry this ended up being a bit of a rant haha. As much as I like Linuj's charas and writing, some of them frustates me sometimes when I look at it again.

Holiday weekend gave me no time till now ha We hit our halfway point with the last review just realized. Exciting! ha S1 only has 20 eps. So we're making our way through S1 hehe. Appreciate you all reading and doing this journey with me truly. That being said lets move onto episode 11.

1x11- 'Redwood'

Gotta love Lucy. Little miss sunshine. Only one excited about their OT adventure for the VP. Everyone else sees discomfort and she sees an opportunity. Saying they deal with grumpy people all day anyways might as well get OT. She's amped to have the money to fix her a/c. Tim of course tells her it'll make her soft, she has to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Jackson asking if Tim is serious LOL Oh Jackson you have no idea how serious he is haha

Tim’s face right here. LOL I paused it for a second and it was this shot. If this isn’t them in a moment, especially if the early years. I don’t know what is heh. She’s all smiles and he’s a grumpy bear baha Judging her for all her positivity and sunshine she sends his way. god I love them so much.

They’re getting super loaded up for the day. Lucy all of a sudden looks so very overwhelmed. Tim closes the scene like only Tim can. ‘But hey least you’ll get to ride in comfort’ 😂 such a bristly bear but he’s her bristly bear haha

Tim and Lucy get called to clear out a homeless encampment. Lucy breaks up a fight and is thrown down. Tim notices the dirty needle minute she gets up. The instant worry on Lucy’s face is evident. When she sees that needle sticking out of her leg.... I can’t blame her I would be the same way. The panic and anxiety would consume me. Tim knows this about Lucy and instantly goes in protect/distract mode.

It’s just like in 1x09 when she was stressed about delivering the baby. What did Tim do? Distracted her with a Tim Test. He knows he has to channel her emotions into something else. If he doesn’t she’s going to spiral out of control. The soft but commanding way he talks to her is perfection. Going over step by step what to do in this situation. He can't control what happened but he can control how she reacts.

Trying to keep her even keel with procedure and a game plan. He’s so damn good at this with her. Reminds me of my leader at work. Knows exactly when I’m about to spiral And de-escalates the panic and worry. Tim knows he has to keep her calm before they can head to the hospital. Amazing to watch him instantly command that situation and protect her from herself. You can see the stress on his face when she walks away, but refuses to let her see that.

I do think that stress bleeds over to when they arrive. The way he is incensed at her being told to sit in the lobby. I saw a post one time said sunshine (being Lucy) and sunshine protector. Clearly that’s Tim. If this scene could be boiled down to one sentence. It would be this. He's protecting his sunshine right now. The way he basically eats the nurse alive for her. Phew lord. Protective Tim is a fav of mine. He’s already trying to keep her mentally calm and this delay will only make it worse. She’ll get inside her head and self destruct. Tim demands for her seen/tested ASAP. He's scared the nurse shitless so it happens.

This nurse sure as hell will never forget this procedure after this. Tim basically chewed him up and spit him back out. Poor Lucy is on the verge of a breakdown and Tim makes sure she’s taken care of. Him eating this nurse alive is his way of showing he cares. It's also the best way he can control this situation for Lucy. He’s so very right that she can’t just sit with civilians. She’s nearly in tears when they head to her room, but she knows Tim has her back. Its one less thing to worry about.

Tim comes back to her exam room to see her on her phone. She’s fallen down the Web-Md hole before he could stop her. He goes right back into protect mode, with a side helping of logical/tough love T.O. his usual M.O for Lucy. Especially when she is beyond the point of logic. I feel you Lucy I get the same way. Tim's purpose right now is to right her mental ship.

Her panic spiral is in full force at this point. Poor girl is a mess. The amount of scenarios she's running through is immense. Her panic/anxiety is ruling her. Luckily she has Tim with her. He meets each panic attack/scenario she's having with solid logic. Trying his best to deter her from worst case scenario thinking. Because at the moment that is where she is living. He's trying to shake her out of it.

He adds some tough love in there with his concern. Wouldn't be Tim if he didn't. Letting her know this was the job she signed up for regardless of the outcome. Sometimes it’s just what she needs to get back to reality. That perspective Tim gives her brings Lucy back to dry land emotionally. Giving her a chance to catch her breath. He knows she's drowning right now and he's throwing her an emotional life saver. The only way he knows how.

Then Tim does what he does best. Distracts her with work. Once he's gotten her to a more stable place, he makes a funny jab about her a/c. Trying to get her to smile/laugh. Cracks me up when he replies how he can’t fix all her problems in one day LOL Lucy laughs for the first time since this happened. Huge Victory for Tim. Massive growth for him as well to take the time to make her laugh. Show he cares about her. Its not just him calming down his trainee. He’s got this beautiful mixture of protecting her/empathy/tough love and touch of logic. Just the combo she needs to self regulate and reset.

Like I said earlier he’s so damn good at this with her. Knows exactly what to do in these moments. He only gets better the closer and longer they work together. It’s a thing of beauty to watch develop. In this moment specifically. Just letting her know it’s going to be ok, even if ultimately it won’t be and she gets infected. It will still be Ok. That is a wonderful thing to do for someone who’s in a heightened fight or flight mode. Tim does it masterfully for her.

That looks of relief on her face and that slight smile on his is amazing. He knows he's gotten her through this portion. Lucy is taking a deep breath for the first time since that needle stuck her. They're both in a much better place than when they got here.

I love what a BAMF work duo they are in this scene. Also doesn't hurt Lucy saying she needs Tim. Its not in the way we all are thinking haha but lovely to hear none the less. Honestly them just standing next to one another is a wonder to behold. They exude chemistry.

I do love how his eyes shift to her during it all. Checking in on her even without her knowing it. Constant protection mode this entire episode. Tim makes another joke about he can’t leave her alone for a minute hehe When we know he’s proud of her for catching this woman in first place. She took care of business and saved a man's life.

Ahhhh this scene. The first and probably most popular OTP Tag for them. ‘Doing my job’ Another crack in the wall that is Tim Bradford. The art is the crack growing. The artist Lucy Chen.

That slight smile he gives her before he takes off is everything. His last bit of comfort headed her way before he has to go. Such a huge moment for them. What I've always loved about Chenford and their slow burn is the small things. They add up to the incredible bond that is formed. This is one of those iconic moments for them as a ship. If you’re not paying attention you’ll miss it all together. To say I love them is an understatement baha it’s why I’m doing these reviews. To analyze them from beginning to end. They are a beautiful thing to watch unfold.

To have family ask a lot of you and want you to put something you wanna do on hold for them. It’s a huge burden Jackson had placed on him. He didn’t tell Lopez but told Lucy she needed one last distraction with Tim gone. e’s there when she gets the results she’s ok. Tells her he will call Tim for her. Jackson was always such a solid A+ friend to her.

Canon, they're prone to these very romantic moments.

What are your favourite things about the ship?

How devoted they are to one another. They meet by accident and get entangled with each other so quickly. Killua follows Gon around during the exam, then Gon goes to save him and since then it becomes a duh for them that they do everything together. And then the trauma they both endure puts a strain on their bond and we see in real time how their relationship partially sours because they are too young and they don't know how to deal with the trauma and the stress. They make each other better and worse, and it just feels so real. It's just amazing.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Idk how unpopular it really is but Gon isn't abnormally selfish, and he's not some villain in their relationship. They both contribute to it hurting them both. People getting hurt in relationships and still fighting for them and working on them is just so normal. I think also that people who dislike Gon or have no interest in him should no be shipping this. And Killua isn't a soft uwu boi. He's got a mean streak, is petty and prone to addiction, the soft boi outfits are a lie.

Zuko/Sokka

In a previous ask reply I talked about how much I like MaiKo. And that's just my default ship for Zuko. The thing with Sokka is that his heterosexuality forces him to reconsider his misogyny, it's not ideal that this is what makes him start respecting women but honestly, who cares as long as he doesn't act like sad loser towards women in the end. And I'm saying this because having a sister who was his life line and his keeper for years after they lost their mother and were left behind by their father, did nothing to make him not a dick to women. And I think that if Sokka'd been gay, he'd've never changed. He'd've been one of those gays who look down at women. What if he lead Zuko there too? Like Azula makes Zuko's life quite awful, so some bigoted takes about women could've made him a misogynist and feel justified for it too.

What would have made you like it?

If they had more chemistry in canon. I just can't imagine an exciting dynamic between them to engage in shipping it? Nothing about this ship makes me think they could make each other better and that's a must for me to ship anything, really.

I'm sorry but not really. I have barely seen this ship around because I don't go to the ATLA fandom, I don't think even fanart for it has ever crossed my dash. I mean it's marginally better than Zuko/Katara, because that one is just toxic heterosexuality the ship.

Like with HisoIllu, I accept that this is a logical ship and it's likely canon. But unlike HisoIllu, I actually actively can't stand it.

Generally, considering how toxic Gojou's personality is, I consider all his het ships misogyny and all his queer ship, queerphobia, even such absolutely toxic shit like SukuGo, even GoKen, even Gojou/Touji. I don't even like Touji but not even he deserves that. Apart from SatoSugu. Getou was a truly disgusting fascist adult and a condescending fuck as a teen, I think they can have each other.

Why I actively despise it, is because of the fandom. The fans of these two characters separately and those of this ship are some of the loudest and most obnoxious in this fandom. They will literally take panels, scenes or chapters that are about other characters and unleash some truly unhinged word vomit to make it seem like there's some connection to Gojou, Getou or their ship. Usually it's either complete misrepresentation of what is in the manga or pure untagged fanfiction. But the tags of other characters get regularly flooded by this kind of shit. They act as if they couldn't stand there being parts of the JJK fandom where their favs are not worshiped, where their ship is not the most important thing.

What would have made you like it?

Nothing. If it weren't for the fans, I would've been neutral about it. I wouldn't have cared about it because a thought about any dynamic between these two assholes leaves me completely cold. But I wouldn't've cringed when I saw it in the tags to the fics in my tags. I wouldn't've cringed writing the single Gojou involving scene I've ever written.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

No, I'm still sad that the most awful fans of these two and their ship haven't rage quit the fandom when Sukuna finally reduced Gojou to tolerable portions. Honestly it seems to be getting worse. Despite how liberally I block, it still often feels, even on some leaks days, that there's more about this ship in the JJK tags than of the actually relevant stuff.

Got my Spanish final done today, so hopefully I did well with that. Thanks to the people who gave me their well wishes! Since I did my final today, I didn't watch as many episodes, but I did finish the training camp arc! Honestly, the end of the episode felt like the end of the season, but I'm not even half way through!

They really put me not even five minutes into the episode and someone almost hit poor Yachi with a ball. HER ANXIETY IS SO REAL, BLESS HER. When she was freaking out with all those guys around her, I could not blame her. Diving through my screen to rescue my child, brb.

I fear that the Kuroo, Bokuto, Akaashi, Tsukishima, Hinata, and Lev group became my favs for this arc. They were just so fun to watch! I think I just enjoy anything involving Kuroo though, if I'm being totally honest. That's my husband, actually. "What's so weird about me being nice?" As if this man isn't a little shit in a 6'2 man's body. I adore this man. And his friendship with Bokuto is top tier. Every time we leave him, I miss him.

I loved seeing the team's improvement compared to the first day of training camp. Yes, they lost every game they played, but you could see them improve. Hinata and Kageyama pulled off their new quick attack! Nishinoya managed to get some solid sets! The boys managed to nail their synchronized attack! Asahi got some pretty good serves (though I'm anxiously waiting for him to nail one and be really proud of himself. Let's go bae). And Hinata did some really great stuff on his own, too! Like getting the ball past a very very tall wall of blockers and getting a feint over on Fukurodani! I'm excited to see them use these improved skills in real games against these many new teams that I've just been introduced to.

I really spent so much of the time watching Bokuto cheer for himself and going "bro keep your pants on lmao." It's not that serious, babe. Nah, but his enthusiam and mood swings were just great. Him progressively getting worse as his mood deteriorated was also very entertaining to watch. When his serve hit the net, I lost it. Bless his poor heart.

So as I watch the episodes, I write little bits and pieces for my ocs for the show, and I wrote this sort of analysis thing in reference to Bokuto from the perspective of a girl's volleyball player (specifically a wing spiker) for Fukurodani. I'll just quote it since it isn't very long. "When Bokuto gets like this, the team knows they have to pick up the slack. He's an excellent ace, no doubt, but his skills go downhill when he gets frustrated, and he's not emotionally reliable in that way. They've learned he can't be exclusively depended on, so they excel even more when Bokuto is in one of his moods." "I guess that's why you guys are a powerhouse school, huh?" But anyway, you really can respect the fact that Bokuto's team knows him so well, especially when it comes to Akaashi (that whole 0.5 second internal monologue where he's deciding whether or not to set the ball to him? Fantastic. I love that he truly understand Bokuto and his personality). They know what to do when he gets in "sad mode" and therefore also know how to coax him out of it. Just great to watch even if I wanted Karasuno to win.

The whole barbecue scene was just wonderful. No notes. From Kuroo, Daichi, and Bokuto trying to get Tsukishima (and Kenma) to eat more food, to Yachi eating that very burnt piece of meat because she got nervous around all these tall guys, to Nishinoya, Tanaka, and Yamamoto acting at Kiyoko protectors, this whole part of the episode was just so nice to watch. When can I go to one of these with them? It looks hella fun.

I really appreciated the scene between the Tsukishima brothers too. The Kei we see is so much more docile than we see during most of the show and I think that this is a conversation he really needed. You've kind of got to admire the fact that Akiteru is still playing volleyball even though he got benched when he was in high school. It's about more than that for him. I also just like seeing any genuine Tsukki smile, so this scene was a complete win for me.

Like I said before, the end of episode 11 felt like it was a season ender, but I'm very happy that it's not! Excited to meet these new teams! Yellow team earring captain is a hottie and I want to kick him.

okay um tryna lock back in now, i've got a couple notes:

so overall, this game was VERY if-y. it had some good moments, but the storyline was super unstable and it felt like they didn't really know what they were doing while writing it.

I liked the concept of a multi-versal murder mystery, but once they drifted away from that and started spiralling into the weird Super-Safi storyline it got kinda confusing to follow along

I truly think they had a really great idea with this game, but the weak plot-twists and boring storyline absolutely bombed it. (I guess you could say that the only murderer in this "murder mystery" was the game's plot killing itself)

I also think it had a really lovely messege about overcoming trauma, and I liked how they treated Max's PTSD with the storm (plus her heartbreak from Chloe was actually well handled, which was a huge concern for me when I heard abt it). I think her Dark Room trauma was treated kinda weird bc of the time vortex thing but honestly that was more of a plot-clarity issue over a conceptual problem.

At the beginning, I was HEAVILY judging the music. Maybe my tastes have changed in the past month or sum but now the music isn't that bad (I still HATE the intro song tho) and I actually like the new vibe this game brought to the LiS world. It was def different from the OG LiS game but I feel like thats a good thing since a huge portion of this game is proving that Max isn't that same teenager anymore. She's changed, the world around her changed, and so her new game is a reflection of that.

Also, the cat content... I LOVED customizing the cat, but I thought the add-on was gonna be more obvious and didn't even realize that I had missed the actual content until I went into the trophies menu after playing lmfao😭😭

I have like a million more comments abt this game but I feel like I got all my major stuff out already so I'm gonna stop rambling lol. I still have my pricefield rant/analysis i'm working on and I'll probably make some small comments while I platinum the game but this is it for my live-blogs !! Vik, Vik, my bestie, my friend, this thing haunts me, because I don't know if I'll ever again write a scene with such homoerotic tension, blatant priest kink, and that's at the same time very uncomfortable

no joke, there's no more of this particular scene because while writing I triggered myself severely

I remember my two big points of inspiration:

first was the basement scene from the Zodiac movie, how quickly the tension escalates. The terror from the line "Not many people have basements in California", punctuated by the simple "I do." Mhua, just delicious. Also, I love sopping wet, scared Jake Gyllenhaal.

This is Roderick - he broke into Pastodi's house looking for clues tying him with murders and found nothing, but Pastodi is still a dangerous, unpredictable person. He's an extorturer and there's a trespasser in his home. There will be consequences.

The second point of inspiration, even tho the scene was abandoned and you can't actually see it, was denailing scene from Higurashi anime.

For sure Pastodi would have a toy like that in his house, something that Rod saw before but didn't know what is it for. And now he needs (wants in fucked up rastodi way) to use it on himself 🥰

OHHHH this is so fucking hard i've written so many lines i love lately. my go-to is usually this bit from my national treasure polyfic from last year:

ut thats how they like eahcother and its fun interesting we arnet here for a long time we're here for a fun time for nate it givess a bit more of a genuine perspective, im not used to jb being comforitng or nice tbh lol. but its clear that they atleast fiteachother even if jb isnt the nicest one for him - i think shes the only one who can keep up with his intense moods and issues stacked on him and his rough exterior. hes honestly a pretty decent guy if you dont piss him off whcih is easy. closeness issues. commitment issues. nothing is ever stable issues. i get it bro. the thing with all of these dynamics in this game is that they do somehow in a hilariously awful way is complete eachother, i cant say if any of them will end well but its obvious that theres chemistry in all of their interactions and i love love love this game. anyway i also relaly liked how with nate you dont kiss him at all and instead get a hug at the ened, its nice compared to shiloh who just goes along with everything and how jb is pulled to his wants at times (while with shiloh shes the one ofc usually taking all of the lead while hes the jester) - i think it really digs in how much he trusts her to go that extreme and vomit-inducing lengths at the end because he wants their kiss to be perfect qnd it isnt perfect right now. but hes ready to keep going because of this stupid bitch (jb). and i find that super sweet

8. what is your theory for their crime? if there is general consensus on it in the fandom, do you have any other, not-so-widely-accepted thoughts on it?

I think I Generally have similar thoughts on him as the rest of his crime as the rest of the fandom does (it was suicide not murder) Uh...honestly I worry my answers for these arent too interesting since I dont Tend to think too much about the crime itself ha...I do think that its possible that Kazui did Much Worse than we are willing to believe or accept. A friend of mine watched Cat and Immediately caught onto how creepy it feels which I agree with honestly since that was my other thought when I was watching it.

I feel like people get a bit defensive when the idea of Kazui being Worse gets brought up but admittedly a lot of times when people bring it up they go "I cant believe people are so Stupid" which is just mean.

I'm personally more fond of the interpretations where Kazui is some flavor of Queer and the shitty he did was lying to his wife. Since that Is a Really Shit thing to do already and I think it's more interesting thematically and story wise. Plus it makes his normalcy and repression parallels with Amane more fun I think.

However I don't think that means that possibility for Kazui being Worse should be Dismissed outright. Just because Kazui is regretful and self-hating and genuinely kind and understanding does not eliminate that possibility and what not.

It also doesn't mean he Can't be Queer....so like....I dunno. I'm just trying to say that I don't Mind him being a worse person than we would like to believe.

11. what are your favorite points about their story and the narrative surrounding them?

GIVE! ME! THOSE! FEELINGS! OF! REPRESSION!!!!!!!!!!!! He is so fucking repressed and is trying so damn hard to be normal and the Ideal Husband and it gets to me. It's something I find so interesting about Kazui. He's a big liar but that's because he's repressed as all hell. He believes he was Born Wrong somehow. Born different.

It's another reason why I really like Queer Kazui interpretations. I think those feelings of having to "be a man" and live up to "manly ideals" and being the Most Normalest Normal Man Ever works really well with that depiction of him.

Kazui is trying to fit the societal standard of normal and is really jaded about it as a result. The idea of Ideal Het Love is just something he's selling to people. The concept of being the Ideal Man is an ad. That one interrogation where he says marriage is good for your social status. He's trying to keep up with society's standards in a world that feels hostile to someone like Him.

Sure he could Try to be himself, but that means inviting so much hate and pain and even possibly risking his life. Leaving the comfortable world of normalcy means Being In Danger.

And he's repressed his feelings for his entire life. It's second nature to him.

How can he pull apart who he is from the lies? Is there even a difference? Is he doomed to lie forever and ever? He certainly doesn't know. There's a sense of stagnation and stillness in a way. A sense of being stuck in place Forever.

All he knows for certain is that Something is Wrong With Him. And that Something is what Killed Hinako. The dream he has is something that is unachievable, as it should be.

Well ignoring the obvious "oh shit if Kazui was guilty Mahiru might of straight up fucking died, same with Amane actually since Presumably Kazui and Mikoto stopping Kotoko is what prevented her from being attacked" I think Kazui might just be kinda resigned to it, he's really like that i think. Kazui is someone Incredibly Resigned to Bad Situations, he doesn't really make much effort to fix them because he doesn't think they Can be fixed. And if he Tried it would just get worse.

He tried to bare his heart to Es but I guess that just didn't work out...I dunno if he would be more honest or not in his MV though...since Kazui seems to have noticed now that he's inno that even his Lies get into the machine. Im really not sure.
