I just woke up at 2 AM, in slight physical pain, from a dream where Misha Collins posted a picture of him standing at a gas station which made him the new Jesus Christ and all we did was make memes about it and I blame this fandom so don't you wonder where I am if I just hop offline and never log in again

Listen to me Suzanne Collins did not have to give Katniss and Peeta a history before the games. She did NOT have to do that. She could have just had their story begin when Peeta's name was called. She could have had them be total strangers until the moment of the reaping.
Like: "And the boy tribute is... Peeta Mellark!" Katniss: Who's that? Or she could have made them vaguely familiar with each other! Peeta's name is called and Katniss just thinks, Oh, I know that name! He's in my class, actually. Poor boy... Anyway!
Either way, SC could have written the rest of the story exactly the same! I think many authors would have done that! Because if Peeta's purpose in the book was to be Gale's competition, to be one of the 3 corners of a love triangle, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE WAY TO DO IT!! But that's NOT how she did it because that's NOT what Peeta is.
And who is he? To Katniss, Peeta's someone who saved her and her family and received nothing in return except a beating. Peeta's someone she has had her eye on but has never worked up the courage to talk to. Peeta's someone she associates with kindness and hope. And all this before the start of the events of the book! Just because WE, the READERS, met Gale before Peeta and immediately felt a connection with him does NOT mean that was Katniss's experience! And that's what SC is trying to tell us!
To dismiss Katniss and Peeta's past as unimportant or inconsequential compared to whatever Katniss and Gale have in the present is to fundamentally misunderstand Katniss as a character and, as a result, condemn oneself to never fully understand the choices she makes in the future.
Suzanne Collins wrote it that way on purpose because she had something to say. And no one will ever be able to convince me that something wasn't "It was always going to be Peeta".

i think gojo's love is complex bc.. in life, as an adult, he ultimately lets geto go.
he allowed geto to walk free for ten years and form his own family. to basically seek happiness elsewhere.
only in their last moments, does he find out geto was still unhappy without him. despite this, gojo's careful not to cling and curse geto to stay with him.
and even after putting him out of his misery, gojo still doesn't grant himself permission to mourn him. bc he most likely handed over geto's body to his family (the people who have been by his side the longest) out of consideration. but even this ultimately comes back to bite him.
in life— gojo has only ever tried to be selfless and nonattached with his love towards geto and yet... this path has only caused him suffering.
only in death— does gojo finally grant himself permission to say what's been in his heart all this time.
he dismisses geto trying to be selfless/the better person (saying he's glad gojo's happy bc of someone else). and says the quiet part out loud— i would only feel complete with you.
only in death does gojo allow himself to be selfish with geto again.

Dick the thetre kid turned goth vampire king. Just look at that sheer amount of ✨drama✨ in him
I can't believe DC actually gave us a vampire AU (and a LOT of other AUs)
(from DC vs. Vampires)

Broke (2016): BBC Sherlock is a phenomenal piece of media and anything that seems like a flaw just hasn't been fully explored yet
Woke (2020): BBC Sherlock is an incredibly flawed series run by an egotistical writer, it never deserved the hype and is actively bad on so many fronts (especially representation)
Bespoke (2024): BBC Sherlock is flawed and bogged down by increasingly poor writing, which many fans refused to see while it was airing, leading to hugely misplaced expectations (particularly for the final series), AND it has the seeds of some compelling characterizations and portrayals, some genuinely solid performances, and touches--albeit imperfectly--on complexities that are still being discussed today (particularly as it relates to the relationship between Sherlock and John). The huge cultural impact of the show has created a massive pendulum effect in its public perception, leading to most people today remembering a caricature of the show (whether positive or negative) rather than appreciating its nuanced merits and failings...that being said Season 4 sucked

Ankarna and Fig are the real parallels - fire-attuned women who lost themselves in trying to be what the people around them needed. We know this, we love this
But is that gonna stop me from writing fics where a vengeful goddess of rage stokes the fires of instinctual possessiveness in a teenage dragonborn with a crush, reminding him that her wife was stolen from her by people who didn't understand, telling him to hold her tight and refuse to let her go less she be stolen from him? No

Scent kink is so strong rn.
There's no way that Luffy bathes more than once or twice a week. Probably only ever when they dock somewhere and when Sanji, Robin and Nami demand he go to the bathhouse.
(let's be real Zoro, Franky and Usopp don't bathe much either, Chopper is a literal animal and Brook is a skeleton so that leaves Sanji, Nami and Robin being the cleanest of the crew)
Anyway I digress.
Luffy is a stinky boy and needs a bath and I will gladly lick his cock and balls clean for him.
I'm only half joking...

The people who are crying 'racism' and 'bigotry' over Elain with wings are the same weirdos who were up in arms about mermaid Elain fanarts (because apparently that's only for Gwyn).
Because obviously having wings means she's Illyrian now, the same way Feyre was?
Feyre didn't become Illyrian just because she could grow wings. Elain wouldn't either.
Moreover it's just a fanart. Artists have creative freedom to make art.
And if they have problems with Feyre having wings too, and if they think the author is bigoted or zionist or whatever hateful buzz word they want to plaster onto her, then why are they even in the fandom? Why are they adding to her fandom if they hate her so much? Why so invested?
It's because of such people that artists stop making fanarts or engaging with the fandom. They throttle everyone's creative spirit by their bullying and virtue signalling.
This comes from a POC (me) who's had enough of this bs virtue signalling. These people have no issues fancasting their fave white boys as Illyrians but they cry about race when it's something they don't like.
I say cry harder and be upset about Elain with wings, makes no difference. I and others will support this artist.
