This is an episode series of Cultish I listened to on hiatus, and while I know I've got LDS followers, it's geared toward Christians and I'm chiefly recommending it to my Christian followers.

These guys are part of a Reformed ministry to Mormons in Utah. They, like myself, have many Mormon friends and loved ones, so while the podcast name may seem inflammatory, it is meant to be literal & earnest, as they have immeasurable compassion not only for Mormons, but for all members of cults, from vanilla conspiracy theorists to literal Nazi colonies. They're not here to say, "Look how loony these people are," but rather, "There but for the grace of God go we."

Because their main evangelical focus is in apologetics, it's very important to them that their textual and historical information be accurate and their discussions accurately reflect the (quite diverse) views and professions of Mormons themselves.

As the LDS church's mainstream profile grows, in both negative ways--such as the countless new docudramas you can find streaming on any platform--and positive ways--such as the rise of Angel Studios--I think it's important that Christians understand what they ACTUALLY believe and how they ACTUALLY got there.

This series is by no means exhaustive (only one season is complete), but it is a great start.

This is a Roleplay Account that is (in lore) made by a “World Hopping” Robloxian! In the place he’s from, it is normal to be able to ‘jump’ between worlds—at least.. worlds connected close enough to their own. Few he has investigated are: The Regretavator, some incidents involving Block Tales, and now.. some Robloxians connected to a twisted-‘Game’ called Forsaken.

This account is still WIP, but that doesn’t mean I can’t answer any Asks, or Roleplay! (Preferably with other Roblox-related accounts.. idk depends if I know the thing the character is from.)

Question for the mun: What's your thought on the relationship between Nnoitra and Nell? Do you hate when people ship them, considering it can be viewed as toxic in a valid way, or are you impartial to it? I'm asking cause I am looking for an active Nnoitra for my Nell and I wanna explore all the facets of their connection, including the fact that maybe they didn't always hate each other (aka not only write them going at each other's throats and insulting each other's ancestry to hell and back).

[ oH !! ( thank you for specifying that it's for me, otherwise Nnoitra for sure would've answered, I tend to let him answer all the asks we get. xD )

It's an interesting question! Because over the years, my view on them has changed quite a bit. I used to absolutely hate Nelliel, but now I actually appreciate her as a character, and find her interesting and complex. It's really fun to be able to see a character differently than you used to ( at least for me ). Because of my dislike for Nelliel, I also used to REALLY dislike the ship ( to the point where I even blacklisted the tag... ) - but now I don't mind seeing them together.

I personally don't mind toxic ships. I enjoy writing them and think it can be a very interesting dynamic to explore. With a character like Nnoitra... It's pretty difficult to get a "wholesome" ship that doesn't have any toxic attributes anyway, due to how Nnoitra is as a person.

Nnoitra and Nelliel's relationship ( this is just my opinion! ) - is complicated. I can only speak from Nnoitra's side of it, since I don't write Nelliel. Nelliel basically just treats him in the worst kind of way, which is where his hatred for her stems from. From what canon tells us, she literally follows him around to "protect" him, which makes him feel weak, and like she pities him, which is the ONE THING Nnoitra can't handle. To the point where he tries to kill himself ( canon ), but Nelliel saves him, making everything even worse. His inability to deal with her is clear from the fact that Nnoitra seeks help in order to get rid of her ( Szayel ). I can only imagine how low Nnoitra must've felt in order to go to someone he considers beneath him, and ask for assistance. That's just how desperate he is to get rid of her.

So yeah, Nnoitra really hates her in canon.

But - it didn't have to be this way. Their dynamic depends on their communication. I can't speak for Nelliel's motivation in the way she treats him ( different Nelliel writers I've written with over the years have had different takes on this, naturally ). Is she simply unaware of how she makes him feel? Or, does she do it on purpose in a villain-sort-of-way, or maybe she just doesn't care about his feelings one way or the other?

It would take very little for their relationship to change, if Nelliel just changed her approach to him slightly. Hearing that she respects him as a warrior would mean everything to him.

So, did Nnoitra always hate her? If she always treated him the same way, then yes, and as long as she keeps treating him like she does in canon - he will continue to hate her.

This is just my take on it though, and what's relevant for the way I portray Nnoitra. I'd absolutely love to write with your Nelliel and explore their dynamic! There are, as far as I know, two (?) other Nnoitra writers around, and they are really good, so you have plenty of options! uvu// But again, I'd love to explore! I guess it's not a stretch to say if you use AI image generation services for fun you're also helping create demand for them.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the ol' "there's no ethical consumerism under capitalism so just do whatever you want" argument and I think that where you can you should try to avoid making your life entirely about consuming, for your own mental health if nothing else.

I get there's stuff that's unavoidable, I totally get that but there's no need to make a big all encompassing excuse.

AI I feel is just a product of that late stage capitalism mindset, trying to take away our motivation to create so we just keep consuming and consuming...ugh.

You don't need to generate AI images, so don't, not if you support and stand with artists.

If you can't afford a commission that's A-OK but don't contribute to our downfall just for the heck of it.

[ HMMM -- My top five? Oh woah, difficult question! I don't even think I have five ships for him ahahaha --- I definitely know what my favorite ship for him is: Doflamingo / Caesar . Caesar is my favorite One Piece character and yeah, I love them together. Currently writing a fanfiction for them in an EvilWins!AU. u v u //

Second favorite would probably be the classic Doflamingo / Crocodile . I had the fortune of writing it a few years ago with @videcoeur , and they really made me appreciate that ship .

Other than that I don't really have any ships for him that I "actively" ship. But I'm open for all kinds of ships. This definitely includes cross-over ships! And ships with OCs! If there is some sort of chemistry ( or maybe if it's just toxic, I love toxic ships ). Doflamingo is a very dark character and so I don't expect his ships to be wholesome or lovey-dovey LOL.

When it comes to writing ships on here, the most important things are that our writing mesh well, we get along OOC ( we don't need to chat a whole lot, but knowing each other a little is cool ), and we enjoy each other's portrayals. Oh, and of course that my writing partner is comfortable ( I don't have any triggers, but I wouldn't want to write something with someone and make them uncomfortable!! ).

Tee, have you heard of/played Outer Wilds? It may be weird, but I find many similarities with the Assassin's Creed lore despite the games being very different...

I’ve not played it but I have heard of it and I was interesting in it because I know it deals with time loops (which is a trope I enjoy) so I know a bit of it. (and in my backlog)

I think the reason why you find it similar is because of the whole “the sun destroys your world and the entire solar system after a specific deadline” and it has an alien device called the Eye which has some OP capabilities.

Also… the ending of Outer Wild is bittersweet that invokes a similar feeling to Desmond’s ending in AC3: although death is inevitable, the choices we make are the keys to ensuring life goes on.

Other than that?

The idea that the protagonist is transported back into a specific time before the sun explodes to try and redo everything and change their fate is such a Desmond-centric fanfic plot XD

That’s my opinion though and it’s based on what I know about the game XD
