You can tell not a single Venezuelan was involved in the making of Jane the Virgin, cause NOT ONCE DID THEY SING THE BIRTHDAY SONG!!!

It's a comedy show, like wouldn't it have been so funny to see a white man(or Rafael since he's not Venezuelan) celebrating a birthday at the Villanueva household and they're just expecting "Happy Birthday" but with the words in Spanish and they get fucking hit with; a song with a completely, different ass melody; with 4 verses, probably with Happy Birthday in Spanish afterwards; one more time in English cause, "We're immigrants so we gotta do it in English"; and the whole ordeal is about 5 times longer than the normal birthday song. Like, that shit is hilarious! Missed opportunity!!!

I caught it when Mateo turned one and they just sang Happy Birthday in Spanish, which latinos DO do, but that's just not Venezuelan. And like, yah Michael will probably have known about the existence of the song since he's been dating Jane for a while, but like it doesn't even have to be funny(I know that scene supposed to be serious), it's just a small thing that's Venezuelan you know.

Also, I'm not even super Venezuelan, I just have extended family cause I had a visabuelo(great uncle) that was Venezuelan, I'm sure an actual Venezuelan would've caught more things.

Anyway if you don't know what I'm talking about, go watch this skit it's super funny. Or here's the song in a form you'll normally hear it. There's also additional quips, you can see in this video. I don't know them cause my cousins don't really do it, but other people do, so it makes it even more chaotic.

Still blows my mind the disparity between the Eng and the JP localization of Sonic Frontiers

So in the og English Tails expresses that he needs to part ways from Sonic so he can grow into a hero on his own, right? That he can't grow by being with him?

But like. The director of the game, who worked with Ian Flynn, worked on the JP localization and it's like. You're telling me that when they localized that scene for the Japanese audience

That it was about Tails learning that there are things only he can do? That instead of concluding that he needs to part ways from Sonic and become a hero, he just comes to realizes the ways in which he and Sonic fill each other's gaps? He learns that he already is on equal footing with Sonic. The two of them are just heroes who save people in different ways?

"Arya wouldn't have been able to survive in KL" is really one of the dumbest fanon takes where you can tell someone only believes it because they like the idea of Arya and Sansa being "exact opposites and perfect complements" (even though it goes against the books). Actual evidence from the books to back it up? Never anywhere to be found despite how confidently people make this claim.

And not only does it severely mischaracterize Arya and ignore what she's been through, it also ignores her importance as a political hostage. The Lannisters weren't searching for her, and lying about having her, for no reason. They needed her because having only one Stark after executing Ned put them in a poor position to negotiate. So Arya would have been more than capable of handling herself (thoroughly shown in her Harrenhal chapters) and the Lannisters would've done everything in their power to keep her alive but, somehow, she wouldn't have been able to survive? It's truly one of those takes that falls apart if you think about it for more than two seconds but apparently, that's too much effort for some people.

I would love to tell you more but i also do not keep up with lore and ive only read a few of the mini comics 😭 im definitely not the best person to ask sorry D: but from my understanding they live in a world with weird monster ppl and Tobi (short white haired guy) has a weird backpack monster who eats ppl and Fuchi Sunao (buchi my beloved, tall black hair, burn scar on face) was chosen by this loooooong monster guy at a young age for some reason? idk what the monster was doing (he's called Mr Creepypasta) but he liked to take control of Fuchi's body sometimes ? or something... they have a weird relationship bc Mr Creepypasta killed Buchi's abusive parent and has protected him his entire life + is the only 'person' Buchi rlly knows but at the same time there's definitely something manipulative and toxic going on there. uhm but since Insomnia ended they haven't been together it seems.... which is good for Buchi but also he's very clearly lost without him. Then there's this little long white haired girl. She has a name but i cannot remember it. She can turn into a weird biiiig monster thing and she used to be an adult but she died but she came back as a child and Tobi looks after her. They live together, Buchi lives on his own but they spend alot of time together :> Tobi + Buchi knew eachother in highschool i think? But they weren't rlly close until recently it seems. Are they gay? Canonically no but also they practically live together + are raising a child and Buchi in Sayonara End Roll says Tobi is the only one who treats him as an equal and his heart belongs with the two of them, and based on the mini comics it seems they're both the only person the other can really let their guard down around. Which could mean nothing.

i’m not entirely sure if it counts, but the closest thing hypmic i think has gotten to this as a concept is the base line melody that loops throughout ore ga ichiro (underneath all the keyboard noises and synth) is the main melody in faces, except in faces it’s in reverse. ichiro may not have entirely been calling out rei but rei sure answered lol
