and it’s just. not even fucking true. she was absolutely Not a cleric before the nautiloid, and she definitely didn’t worship talos. he just happened to fit the description

i like to think talos sees her going through this process and just decides to feed into her delusions and grant her cleric powers because he thinks it’s funny

#(FROM PROJECTS)#personal #the engineering chronicles #WILL HOPEFULLY NEVER NEED TO SLEEP THREE NIGHTS ON THE FLOOR OF THE ENGINEERING BUILDING AGAIN!!!#one class the final project was to build a karaoke machine which my partner and i had planned on making look like actual speakers and #microphone but we couldn’t find the stuff in time and her mom made a joke abt singing into hairbrushes and we decided to take that and #run lol we used a pink sparkly makeup box to store our circuit and cut out holes for the speakers and decorated it with makeup and put the #hairbrush mics inside and it was very fun actually and our class voted us as one of the groups to go to project day which was pretty cool!!#project day did get canceled bc of. asnow day which was unfortunate especially considering we stayed up until 4am the night before #preparing our documents for it and trying to perfect the karaoke machine when we could have been putting that time toward project number #2 😐 but whatever we still get our extra credit and i can say i qualified for it so im happy enough #then project 2 was for another class but we’re lab partners in both (+ another guy for this project) and it was digital monster pet so we #made a dragon i was mostly on design so i hand CADed the whole thing which was living hell if i never want to lay eyes on solidworks #again but also he came out very cute after MUCH hasle putting him together with all the wires and components bc our wires from the kit are #so bad they’re constantly getting disconnected from each other which we didn’t know would happen bc the labs we usually do we don’t have to #connect them together like that since you’re not routing them thru bodies etc and they’ve worked great until now but anywya.#i did the lcd faces and the light sensor and a couple other things + a lot of the code was copy and paste from past labs and fitting it to #suit the project but for the most part it was a shit ton of hardware on my end while she and the other guy managed the rest of the code #which i really wish i could have been more involved with but oh well. as it is though he’s my baby i birthed him <3 we’re planning on #meeting up over weekends next semester to change some stuff and add other extra features that we missed we got a decent grade 85% but we #all agreed we don’t want to leave him like this we want to add the extra features we had come up with and also i think we should switch out #our motors for servos bc the motors we were required to use #instead suck they’re not strong at all compared to what a servo can do for you. also we want to make it so you can not only pet him which w #already have with light sensors but also wash him with a Hall effect sensor and magnet so like we’d stick the sensor inside and the magnet #inside a little cad brush or sponge is what im envisioning and i have an expression in mind for what we’d do then. also paint him and #redesign the platform he stands on bc it’s rlly cramped and also make a pcb bc we only have him with the microcontroller and breadboards rn #and i might mess with his face piece a bit too im not sure. oh and speakers!!! those were technically a requirement but we didn’t get them #done on time but i want to make him play music sooooo bad so definitely that. anyway want to be more involved in the software when we do #all this. pretty excited actually :]

Though I already knew I'd start with her haha #Have a little preview to start us off - I have Lots of thoughts to each part of development I ended up in but I want to roll them out slowly #Not everything all at once anyway haha - thoughts get all jumbled now that I'm on this side of things pft #I wasn't able to finish A Version I'd be willing to publish in just a month - even then I only worked on Ghostkinz about 3 days a week so #But for the time I spent I'm quite pleased with how its shaped up so far! :D I got to implement a lot!#Actually learning-then-implementing-then-learning-then-implementing - it's a loop I've been out of for such a long time now :0 #Really interesting to fall back into after so long away haha #A lot of my other projects have been Pick Up One Thing and then do that forever and I was tired-tired of that!!#So going into this project knowing that I'd only have November to Get Guud at as much of it as possible and then that was it #I think it helped propel me - didn't end with me getting stuck on Perfecting Just This One Thing #I'd read a bit and then go utilize it and then come back and read some more of Zarla's template/walkthrough - compelling system!#I still couldn't manage to actually finish in a month but I got up to Phase 4!! Previous attempts at Ghost-making has gotten stalled at 1!!#Maaaybe 2 but never anything beyond that - and while I didn't actually Finish any Phase apart from 1 I still read through much much more!#On top of the learning aspect being fun ♪ getting to understand some of the more technical side ahh - it was also just fun to read haha #Like a course that can be silly hehe ♫ Enjoyable even outside of getting to make a little guy for my screen haha #But also yes that too!! I'm really glad I finally settled on an idea that I feel confident in seeing through #The best part about reaching for the Webkinz style is that Webkinz uses vectors - I've gone on record multiple times as loving vectors #They're an exceptionally easy medium to manipulate and that was The Thing that had been holding me back from committing to Ghosts prior #Drawing every single thing when I already struggle to plug in my tablet...no...... But Vectors #You can see here that Diamond's expressions are just a matter of tilting her head and moving her tail - so so soooo simple with vectors #Being able to super-quickly put out a lot of different expressions and animations and piecemeal everything together...yes..........#And for what further I have in mind :3c It's really all I could ask for in an art style to seek ah ♪ Just right for my purposes!#I thought it'd be nice to show off Diamond-for-real as her plush next to her digital version as well :D She's still the only OG8 I have #I want more!! anybody remember the stephanie brown essay I was working on under a research grant fully last summer? yeah it’s not done yet it super needs to be done and I’ve been avoiding working on it for weeks. someone tell me to just do it already

#the problem is. actually there are several problems #1) I’ve been out of the Batman/dc comics phase for almost a year so I don’t care that much about the topic #2) I am fifteen pages in and have not touched it in months so I’ve completely lost my train of thought #3) I can’t just reread it because I hate first five pages or so and I know I need to change it but I was trying to finish before editing #so now my only solution is I need to open up a new doc and completely restructure the whole thing by splicing together the existing writing #so that I can figure out where the hell im going with this and make sure things fit together better #unfortunately that sounds fucking exhausting #but I told my mentor I would have an update for him by the end of the week and. well. it’s the end of the week #I have to present it in April. I have to write and submit an abstract in March #the school gave me $1500 for this stupid essay and if I don’t have anything to show for myself.#well. I don’t know they can’t take the money BACK but it’s not a good look #and also I would feel bad #I did the research!!! i interviewed comic writers even!!! I just haven’t finished WRITING IT DOWN #and I KNOOOOWW once I get started it’ll be fine once I’m going I’m going #but STARTING is hard because I feel like I have to finish it in one go which makes it so huge and daunting #I’m like. slamming my head into a wall. just write a couple sentences Jess something is better than nothing #just start it you don’t have to finish just START just MAKE the new DOC #I know!!!!! that is what my therapist would say!!!! Jess you’re trying to oneshot it bc of your dumb adhd brain!!!!#stop looking at it like that and making it scarier!!!#but even tho I know that logically I’m still like oh I should put away the dishes o should make bread #I should work on my six different art pieces I should do laundry i should play with the puppy I should go for a walk I sh

actually stunned by how gay The Beatles has been all this time and I just never knew

#like its always just been there in my life but i just never paid attention #my university roomie was obsessed w them and had several beatles posters that i looked at every day #so stuff like the pictures of them from the let it be album are like engrained into my brain #and yet i never knew the lore??#nor did i know until recently that they were actually all high school buds nor did i know they wrote their own music #nor that they genuinely basically invented modern bands n using the studio the way they did etc. so all that was very impressive and cool #but THEN on top of that omg the angsty gayness of john and paul #like all i knew previously basically was that john was a thing w yoko ono and paul had a young wife recently #i had at one point heard of people shipping j&p together and was just kinda like wow i guess people will ship anything #I DIDNT KNOW #that they were actually like that cute and that insane together and that their song writing together was like an actual marriage #anywayz the old pictures and videos of them are just like jesus look how they look at each other i dont think it was just being bros #i am sort of in the camp of they prob didn't act on it for real but there was def some insane tension/chemistry going on #and then ofc once youre aware of this their songs take on so many possible meanings outside of just singing about their gfs and wives....#anyways i just have to vent about this somewhere bc im actually shocked at how this has just passed me by all these years #and it definitely was not on my bingo card for 2024 to fixate on the beatles but here we are lol #more proof to me that my ultimate fave trope or wtv is 'besties to enemies when really they actually probably wanted to be lovers'#gets me every time!!!!#whats been fun about this rabbit hole is how just every single one of my expectations has been reversed as well #i went in assuming i would like them best in this order:#(1) george (2) ringo (3) paul and (4) john #i was sure i would hate john i thought he sounded so pretentious and like such a douche #but no actually he is my fave one and it's literally in reverse order for me i find george my least fave #(i like his music and feel bad for how he got ignored in the band but i like him the least)#and then i literally am john paul ringo george in order of faves now #i just love when i get surprised like that idk it keeps me on my toes and keeps things exciting and fresh #and yes john is indeed pretentious and a douche but i didn't know he was also funny and vulnerable and that i like his voice and songs #the most in the bunch almost every time as well #the beatles #p
