DWC Day 7 : Infatuation/Endless

How long have they been there? Samuel feels like it's been forever. The next time he agrees to accompany him on a mission, he'll pay more attention to the nature of the mission than to the reward. Surveillance missions have never been his forte. He finds them so boring and time consuming. Terribly time consuming. He hates it. There's nothing to do, just watch and wait. There's nothing fun about it. A little attention wouldn't have hurt.

"How much longer are you planning on moping around?"

His husky voice snaps him out of his thoughts. He looks back at him puzzled but also surprised.

"Don't look at me like that." He frowns slightly turning back to him. "I know the look you make when you're mentally moaning. It's kind of like you're going through some intense effort. If you're really bored, you can always leave if you want..."

Maxwell looks at him with a small smile on his face. He is conscious to tease him a little by touching one of his sensitive chords.

"So you can keep all the money for yourself? No!" He gives him a light elbow. "And then who knows what's in store for you, you might need me."

He juggles his knife with surprising agility. But there's no time to show off, their target is on the move again. The fun is over, the work resumes. They get serious again and pick up where they left off.

What’s your favorite Twst event of ALL TIME?

I like Harveston

this truly is the hardest question. :( but after much consideration, I think Endless Halloween Night wins out for me, because it's nonstop Characters Being Silly the whole way through. the whole thing is just lots of these little dorks having the most ridiculous interactions, which is always my favorite! and of course the big twist is SO delightfully stupid and doubles down SO hard that it becomes AMAZING and I 100% unironically adore it. AND it's Halloween! everyone is in their cute little costumes and having a spooky adventure! it's great!

however, I am ALSO a big fan of the Harveston event! how can I not be! everyone is wearing comfy winter outfits and getting along really weirdly well with Epel's grandma and he's getting a little worried about that! my terrible loud son sews a plush squirrel and then gives it a silly little nickname and refuses to leave it behind when it breaks! the ending shot with the sled! I LOVE IT.

obviously we need the best of both worlds now

Okay, I know that Lilia is just vampire-coded, not an actual vampire.

Still, I love the idea of people commenting on the vampiric quirks of others but Lilia’s love of tomato juice, sensitivity to/distaste for sun, bat-theming, and uncanny knowledge of the past gets a “huh, that’s weird” at most. (Also, if anyone has managed to meet a real vampire, it would be Lilia during his travels.)

Neil Gaiman needs to (never) stop writing flashback that are so lovely done and with such deep. It’s ruining me for all the other very lame flashback I’m used to see. Like. These are literally my favorite part of these show. I like them MORE than the rest.
