AMER FORT - INDIA

Ingredients:

2 oz. rye whiskey

¾ oz. dry vermouth

¼ oz. amer (such as Golden Moon Amer dit Picon)

¼ oz. Luxardo Maraschino

Lemon twist (for serving)

Preparation:

Combine 2 oz. rye whiskey, ¾ oz. dry vermouth, ¼ oz. amer, and ¼ oz. Luxardo Maraschino in a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir until well chilled, 20–25 seconds, then strain into a coupe. Express a lemon twist over top and garnish with the twist. 

Cooks' Note

Got extra picon? It makes a great dry highball, simply mixed with sparkling water. You can try yours with a dash of grenadine or with tonic as well.

Troisième étape de mon périple dans l'Ouest pour retrouver des ami(e)s lointain(e)s : Christian en Bretagne, près de Brest, il y a un mois déjà.

A Plougonvelin, la Pointe Saint-Mathieu. Ici, c'est le choc de l'Histoire, entre ce blockhaus allemand de la 2ème Guerre Mondiale et ces deux menhirs, appelés le Gibet des Moines. Sur la dernière photo, ce sont apparemment des amers, servant de repère aux navires.
